The winners of the remix contest

Out of more that 50 contestants we picked the winner of the L'ÂME IMMORTELLE remix contest surrounding the release of our latest album Fragmente - and the winner is AUDIO-FX, a British duo blending Dubstep and Industrial - a mix which is intriguingly far away from the original LAI style. They sent both tracks that were open for reworking - Hold me and Absolution - through their sinister sound machines and won the duo's appreciation straight away. Orkus! and L'ÂME IMMORTELLE congratulate the winner!

Sonja Kraushofer about "Fragmente"

„We never created any borders with L´ÂME IMMORTELLE as far as the songwriting was concerned but for „Fragmente“, we really took it over the top and went to extremes“, Sonja tells about the basic idea behind „Fragmente“. Like Thomas, she took five tracks from the last work „Momente“ and clad them into her very own sound. „I would never have dreamed that a Hammond organ (which I like a lot!) or a trumpet would find their way on an LAI album... I am delighted!“ Producer Patrick Damiani re-arranged the songs. Sonja recalls: „Working with him was very creative and inspiring. Thank you – for the wonderful time in the Tidalwave Studio and for all the coffee...“ The result of these sessions can be heard from April 27th, 2012.

We are very happy to announce today that we have a shot a video for the song "Wie Tränen im Regen" with director Carlo Roberti (SOLOBUIO Visual Factory) in December and that you will be able to see the first trailer of it on Monday January 16th - one week from now. The cinematic clip was shot in Rome and shows the more emotional contemplative side of our music.

This was the biggest video shoot up to date that also features a lot of actors. We liked the main actress in the clip so much that we decided to use her as the cover model for "Auf Deinen Schwingen" and it was a big pleasure to work with renown German actor Ulrich Pleitgen. The big banquet style meal in the video was to be our midnight snack after that scene was finished. Yummie!

A very relaxing video shoot in cosy atmosphere that also features fans of ours as extras. We also had a lot of fun at the afterparty that lead us to a cocktail bar in Berlin that had coffin tables and skeletons.

Our first ever video shoot and the exciting trip led us to Romania!
The hoop skirt in it's special transport case barely made it onto the plane and the shoot was interrupted by a real funeral on the cemetery location. Sonja nearly drowned under the rain machine and had to spend a while in a bathtub filled with Coke and other lemonades.
After all our favorite clip so far.

Next Monday December 19th we will start our small action "moments of the past" where we will present you all video clips we shot in our career so far - each accompanied by a personal statement about what made the shooting special.

It is with great pleasure that we are finally able to break the extremely long silence around L'ÂME IMMORTELLE and to announce ardently awaited news! After being cloaked in obscurity for far too long, we can now smash all the rumors, speculations and ideas revolving around us in the recent past: For the past three years, we have been passionately working on a new album! It will be called „Momente“ and will finally be released on January 27^th, 2012! We can hardly wait to share this work with you and can already tell you that it has become a very personal, no: Our most personal record so far. Unadorned and honest.

In the new issue of ORKUS Magazine released today, we talk about the new songs and the difficult process of creation for the first time (and that very openly!)...
