Dedicated to Isagani Ibarra who told me that "Ololongapo City" is a land of fallen angels,
and to a Rose from Baguio who inspired me to write this song.

Just another dream

and now another memory

of a voice that attracts my ear,

of a smile and a story to remember.

It started and ended
one hard December night.

When my body was weak

and my mind was uncontrolled.

My hands were clumsy

and could not hold the chords.

The flow of air and feeling

was constantly cut off by cough.

The momentum of rhythm was gone.

As the set dragged, I ask myself,

"What am I doing here,

when I could not even hold the music

that I should be playing with."

Chorus:

Oh, ho what a night,

a hard and stringent night,

one of those nights where I play to survive

in the land of angels,

in the land of fallen angels.

Then she came from out of the blue,

requesting the song Desperado.

As I smile and say, "I'm sorry"

a glimpse of thought was in my mind,

"She must be lonely too".

She's beautiful, a pear in my eyes.

She got up and sang to my surprise.

We talked, we laughed,

we shared same insights.

I could trace sadness in her stories;

I swear I saw those sadness in her eyes.

Bridge:

She came when the night was cold,

and oh! so lonely.

She came when there was

a mare in my dreams.

She is a look alike of someone

I always remember.

She reminds me of the pain

of falling in love to a dream.

I offered her something.

She agreed and gave me her number.

But when I left her for a while, she had gone.

And when I gave her a call, I realized.

That she is just a dream,

just another dream.

Chorus:

She is just a dream, just another dream.

One of those dreams that I dreamed

in the land of angels,

in the land of fallen angels.

I play, I sing, I dream in the land of angels,

in the land of fallen angels.

In The Land of Fallen Angels
