Hi Friends , how are you :D glad to see you here again ＼(＾▽＾)／ , today we are going to learn about two International English language tests : TOEFL and IELTS , what are these tests , the difference and which one to choose , whether you are planning to study abroad or for immigration, there are many institutions in the world that require to have one of these certificates as a part of your application .

What is TOEFL ?

the TOEFL is an abbreviation for "Test Of English as a Foreign Language", is an International English test, made by ETS (Educational Testing Services), the test has two versions : Paper-based test (PBT) and Internet-based test (IBT), with more than 30 million test takers worldwide, IBT is the most taken test , it covers four parts : reading, listening, speaking, and writing, with a total score of 120, the score can be valid for 2 years from the test date, and it's recognised by more than 10,000 colleges, universities and agencies in more than 130 countries, including Australia, Canada, the U.K. and the United States.

What About the IELTS ?

the IELTS , or the "International English Language Testing System" from Cambridge university , is another English Test Internationally recognized , with 3 million test takes last year and over 10000 organizations that accept this certification worldwide, the test has nine scale scoring system (1-9) , and comes in two versions Academic and General Training to comply with different testing purposes , whether it was for study or to work in English speaking countries.

Now we know about the test , but what's difference and what to choose ?

Although both tests serve to test English , but it still exist some differences that make them different from each other , and the choice depends on your purpose and your destination.

Salam aalaykoum سلام عليكم (literally "peace upon you") dear visitors and welcome to my new post :D as you are here , so I think you are interested in Arabic and local dialects , and in this blog , my mission is to help you as a native speaker to learn about my language and to have the best experience when you visit my country :) That's why I choose to talk about Darija...but wait , what is Darija ?

What is Darija ?

Darija is an Arabic word "دارجة" that means a familiar colloquial dialect , and by the time , it was used to describe the way people of Maghreb (which means the countries of North Africa ) are accustomed to talk , we have Moroccan , Algerian , Tunisian, and Libyan , we still able understand each other very well (There are some differences concerning words used to describe things , but we can get it easily :D it's like Latino Spanish and the Spanish of Spain :D ) But we will focus on Moroccan Arabic as it's the one I know and as it's my country :)

The History of Darija

To understand the Moroccan Darija , we need first to know the context of Maghreb and different civilisations that goes through this area , and because Maghreb countries are near to Europe , they were highly influenced with neighbours languages (that belong to Romance languages family : Portuguese,Spanish,French, and Italian) in addition of Turkish influence as Algeria,Tunisia, and Libya were parts of the Ottoman Empire , and the impact is still present in the words used in daily communication.

The Moroccan darija is divided also in many subdialects , for example , people in Rabat or Casablanca (West) don't speak the same way as people in Tangier (North) or Marrakech (South) , this can be explained by the distance between cities let the space open for tribes to create their regional dialects to communicate with each other

We can find for Example :

Northern dialects : spoken in cities in mediteranean sea (Tangier , Tetuan , Chefchaouen , and neighbouring cities) : Influenced by Spanish with some Riffean touch , given the geographical location of these cities in mountains .

The eastern dialects : Spoken in the east of Morocco , and influenced by the neighbouring Algerian dialect , which is in turn influenced by French and Amazigh languages.

The western dialect : this is the version known as the standard darija , that you can hear it in Casablanca , Rabat , and in the rest of cities in the country , they often mix Arabic with French , this is due to the history of this part of the country as it was occupied by France in the beginning of the 20th century

The middle dialect : spoken in Marrakech , Agadir and neighbouring cities , it's not different from the standard Arabic , but it's highly influenced by Amazigh accents , like the use of a soft "t" when talking and the use of some amazigh words .

The southern dialect : known for "Hassaniya" , spoken in the south of Morocco , in the area known as the "Spanish Sahara" from El Aaiùn to La Güera, and in my humble opinion , it's the only dialect that managed to keep the authenticity of Arabic language, and that still can be understood by anyone in other Arab countries , most of words in Hassaniya are originated from arabic , with a little of Spanish influence because of the history and also because it's near to Canary Islands . .

How to learn Moroccan Arabic Darija ?

After we know a little about the history of Moroccan Arabic and its types , now we need to know where we can learn this Arabic dialect , personally , I would recommand Immersion Learning approach , as there are not much books about Moroccan darija , but if you just want to learn the basics and given the actual context of coronavirus pandemic , there still some online sources you can count on , and the good thing is that courses are published by US cultural organizations :

Moroccan Arabic Textbook (2016 Release ) : this book is a good point to start , it was published by a Moroccan trainer who works teaching Moroccan Arabic to volunteers from the Peace Corps, which is a volunteer program run by US government that has missions in many countries .

Arabic-Moroccan Headstart2 : another course made by Defense Language Institute , which is one of US governmental institutions , that has a mission to offer foreign language courses as a part of Army training before sending troops for missions abroad the country.

Epidemic or Pandemic ? Learn the difference

Hello my dear friends , I hope you are doing better , I know we are living difficult days all over the world due to the spread of the Covid disease , my heart is with you , although my country is also living under pressure , we just hope the situation to change for better in the coming days after application of confinement in my country , as well as most countries in the world

Let's get in the language part , I guess you are one as many that notice the use of a set of vocabulary related to diseases recently , that will explain them in detail in this post , including the difference epidemic and pandemic , this word that we heard much recently , but what makes pandemic different than epidemic ?

First , what is Epidemy ?

It's a disease , which spreads rapidly in a population in a short time , we usually use epidemy to describe a disease within a limited geographic area.

We start to talk about a pandemic when the disease spread all over the country or cross it to another country , and that's why we use it to talk about the actual Corona Virus Disease (or COVID as an abbreviation) , it was discovered in China and spread to neighbouring continents to reach all the world

To describe this rapid spread of this disease , we use the word outbreak , which means a sudden increase of infections in a particular time and a limited geographical area

To sum up :

Outbreak (city) > Epidemic (country) >Pandemic (global)

to deal with this situation , governments had to close all borders and ask the population to stay home for 2 weeks to avoid the spread of the virus and control the infected cases , this measure is known for confinement , which is applied now in most of the countries .

السلام عليكم متابعي الأعزاء 😊 سعيد بلقائكم مجددا في تدوينة جديدة و التي من خلالها سأشارككم تشكيلة من أفضل التطبيقات لتبدأ رحلتك في تعلم اللغات الحية 😍 حيث في المقال السابق كنا قد تعرفنا على الامور التي تحتاجها لبدأ التعلم و كذا تطرقنا إلى مدى التأثير الايجابي لتعلم لغة اخرى على مسيرتك الدراسية و العملية ، إذ يعد التعلم من خلال التطبيقات من بين أسهل الطرق لبدأ التعلم من الصفر ، نظرا لسهولة إستخدامها و المزج بين الكتابة و النطق ، و هذه نقطة إيجابية تميز التطبيقات عن باقي وسائل التعلم .

في القائمة التالية ، سأذكر بعضا من التطبيقات التي أستخدمها بشكل شبه يومي و التي ساعدتني على التعلم و إغناء رصيدي المعرفي بالمفردات و الجمل في سياقات مختلفة :

ديولينجو : إذا كنت مهتما باللغات الحية، فمن المحتمل جدا أن تكون قد سمعت هذا الاسم ، بشعاره الطائر ذو اللون الأخضر ، حيث يعد هذا التطبيق من أفضل التطبيقات في المجال، ميزته الجمع بين الصور و الكتابة و الصوت، مما يجعل التطبيق ملائما للإستخدام لكافة الاعمار.التطبيق يدعم عدة لغات و ذلك حتى يتيح للمتعلمين من عدة دول تعلم لغة جديدة , و يتم إضافة لغات جديدة بشكل

دوري.

ميمرايز : يعد هذا التطبيق المنافس التقليدي، حيث يعد من التطبيقات المشهورة و المتواجدة في متاجر التطبيقات منذ سنوات ، حيث صنف من أحسن التطبيقات اللغوية لمرات عدة على غرار منافسه ديولينجو ، طريقة عمل التطبيق شبيهة إلى حد ما بديولينجو ، مع إضافة ، كون هذا الأخير يتضمن أيضا دورات لتعلم لغات البرمجة ، و هذا يجعله متميزا عن بقية التطبيقات.

دروبس : هذا التطبيق لا زال حديث العهد إلى حد ما في متجر التطبيقات، لكنه اكتسب شهرة بسرعة لسهولة استخدامه و لطريقة عمله التي تجعل من تعلم اللغات جزءا من حياة المتعلم اليومية، حيث يقوم التطبيق على فكرة التعلم عن طريق دروس مرفوقة بصور لا تتعدى مدتها 5 دقائق, مما يجعل التطبيق مناسبا للأشخاص المنشغلين طوال اليوم, حيث يمكنهم إستغلال وقت الإستراحة و التعلم بضع مفردات بشكل يومي , مما يساهم في إغناء الرصيد اللغوي للمتعلم .

بيلينكواب : هذا التطبيق سبق و أن تطرقنا له في مقال سابق باللغة الإنجليزية , و هو يقوم على فكرة التعلم من خلال قراءة بعض القصص القصيرة مع الترجمة , مما يمكنك من التعرف على معنى الكلمة باللغة الثانية في الوقت ذاته , مع إمكانية حفظ الكلمات و الرجوع إليها في وقت لاحق , تطبيق مهم و يستحق التجربة.

ليريكا: لعشاق تعلم اللغات عن طريق الأغاني , أنصحكم بتجربة هذا التطبيق الرائع , فكرته تقوم على الإستماع للأغاني و التعرف على الكلمات , و التعرف على معانيها , مما يسهل حفظها , حيث يعتبر التعلم من خلال الأغاني من الطرق الأكثر شيوعا و سهولة للمتعلم, إذ بإمكان المتعلم حفظ عدد أكبر من المفردات بشكل غنائي مقارنة مع القراءة العادية للكلمات , أنصح بتجربة التطبيق.

فوسكرين : لا أخفيكم سرا كون هذا التطبيق هو قديم نوعا ما في متجر التطبيقات , لكن رغم ذلك أجد أنه لم يحظى بالقدر الكافي من الإهتمام , فهو تطبيق خاص بتعلم اللغة الإنجليزية , و فكرته مختلفة عن التطبيقات الأخرى , كونه يعتمد في تعليم الإنجليزية على مقاطع الفيديوهات من مصادر مختلفة , مع الترجمة للحوارات مما يمكن للمتعلم من التعرف على معنى كل كلمة في الوقت نفسه , مع أسئلة و تحديات لمساعدة المتعلم على الفهم و حفظ الكلمات بشكل أسرع.

دليلك لتعلم اللغات : هذا كل ما تحتاجه لتعلم لغة جديدة هذا العام

السلام عليكم , كيف حالكم أعزائي متابعي مدونة Language Hacker , أنا سعيد اليوم كون هذا المقال يعد أول محاولة لي للتدوين باللغة العربية , و التي أحاول من خلالها تقريبكم من أهمية اللغات الحية و إرشادك نحو كل ما تحتاجه من مصادر لبدء رحلة تعلم اللغات خلال هذا العام .

لا شك اخي الكريم انك لاحظت خلال السنوات الاخيرة تزايد الاقبال على تعلم اللغات الاجنبية , فبالإضافة الى كونها هواية ممتعة , هناك أسباب اخرى تدفع العديد من الناس إلى تعلم لغة جديدة , أي كان السبب , هناك أمور عليك أخدها بعين الاعتبار لتفادي ضياع الكثير من الوقت نذكر منها على سبيل المثال :

الدافع : و هذا شئ مهم للغاية , لتسأل نفسك أولا , هل أنا فعلا بحاجة لهذه اللغة , إذ يعد الدافع هو محفزك لتحسين مستواك اللغوي , لكون اكتساب اللغة هي عملية تتطلب وقتا لهذا وجب التفكير في جدوى الامر و هل يتقاطع مع أهدافك المهنية و الحياتية (العمل في بلد اخر , الزواج في بلد اخر الخ...)

اختيار الوسيلة المناسبة للتعلم : و هذه الوسيلة يتم تحديدها بحسب هدفك من التعلم , هل تريد فقط معرفة بعض الجمل الأساسية للمحادثة , كالأشخاص الذين يعتزمون زيارة بلد و عيش تجربة مميزة من خلال التحدث مع الأشخاص بلغتهم الأم , أو أنك من الأشخاص الذين يستعدون للدراسة أو العمل في بلد اخر , مما يستدعي الإلمام باللغة بشكل أكثر , كل هذه الوضعيات تختلف من حيث الوسائل المستعملة في التعلم , إختيار الوسيلة الخطأ قد يؤدي لضياع الوقت و الجهد.

الصبر : أن تبدأ بتعلم اللغات فهذا شئ رائع , لكنه ايضا قرار إستراتيجي قد يأخذ منك وقتا , لأكون معك صريحا أخي الكريم , لا تنتظر من اي دورة/مساق/كتاب أن يجعل منك تتكلم اللغة في أسبوع , اللهم بعض الجمل الأساسية (قد يفي هذا بالغرض اذا أردت فقط زيارة بلد لفترة قصيرة , لكنه لن يفيد حتما للحديث اليومي المطول باللغة الهدف ) حيث ان عملية اللغة أشبه ببرمجة للعقل او تمرير تحديث لهاتفك , كل هذا يتطلب وقتا لبرمجة و تسطيب قواعد اللغة وإغناء قاعدة البيانات الخاصة بالكلمات الجديدة التي ستبني بها حديثك , و كذا تدريب عقلك على كتابة كلمات بالاحرف الجديدة (نأخذ مثالا بالأحرف السيليرية / الروسية ) , لهذا أنصحك اخي بالصبر و إعطاء الوقت الكافي للتعلم , قد لا تظهر نتائج في الحين , لكن كن متيقنا أنك ستجني ثمار ما تعلمته بعد مدة.

الشجاعة : لمذا هذه النقطة بالذات , أقول لك أخي أن هذه من الدروس التي تعلمتها من خلال مغامراتي اللغوية , أن لا تخجل من المحادثة , بل و أن لا تخجل من إقتراف الجرائم بحق اللغات 😆 بالنتيجة , ليس لديك شئ لتخسره , و الناس ستفهم أنك لا تتكلم اللغة , و أنك في طور اكتسابها , بل الاكثر من هذا , هذا سيجعلك محبوبا لديهم , لانهم سيفهمون أنك تريد فهمهم ,و مهتم بالتواصل معهم , و لهذا سيساعدونك , و يصححون هفواتك , و بالتالي يتحسن مستواك اللغوي 😍

Bonjour mes amis , ravi de vous retrouver ici . Aujourd'hui je choisis de parler de les adverbes en français , ce choix vient après que je remarque que certains personnes trouvent des difficultés pour déterminer l'adverbe dans une phrase , alors que cela n'est pas vraiment compliqué .

L'adverbe est généralement un mot invariable (sauf quelques exceptions rares ) ajouté après un verbe afin de changer le sens , qui peut être un lieu, temps, ou manière .

l'adverbe généralement vient sous trois formes :
Il peut être un mot simple comme hier , maintenant , ici , désormais et autres.

Comme il peut être dérivé d'un adjectif féminin (adjectif fém+ment), c'est la forme la plus connue , telle que lentement , quasiment , totalement , finalement et plein d'autres.

Et dans d'autres cas , il peut être un groupe des mots (tout à coup , ne....pas , tout à fait ) et autres.

Many of you know about Duolingo App , that green owl professor that keep reminding you of your language sessions 😄, this app nominated as the best app in Google play for years 2013 and 2014 , keeps extending its courses collection and it's preparing to launch Scottich Course in the near future 🤩 .

Spoken By 57,375 people , according to 2011 census of Scotland , it's one of official languages in England , is one of Celtic languages spoken in England ,with some minorities in Canada , United States and Australia , it started to draw attention among language learners and academics as an effort to revitalize it after a decline and domination of English in official documents and in cities in the last three centuries.

The course is in development phase , and it's expected to complete in July 2020 , but it might be released before that date in beta version , depending on contributors on the project , you can always check the link to keep informed about the progress here.

It is worth mentioning that many courses are expected to be launched in beta version by the end of this year (2019) , including Swedish for Spanish , Chinese for Japanese speakers , and French for Turkish speakers that show a progress in the course incubation .

nouvelle article, puisque le sujet concerne la langue Française ,d'où j'ai choisi de parler un peu à propos d'orthographe, et en particulier , deux mots qui'ils sont similaires et qu'ils sont très utilisés mais qu'il ont de différents sens (on appelle ces mots les homophones)..je parle de "ou" et "où".

Pourquoi "ou" et "où" ? l'idée de cette publication vient après que je remarque certaines personnes confondent entre les deux mots à l'écrit , alors qu'un simple accent peut changer carrément le sens d'une phrase , d'où la nécessité de connaître la différence .

Ou : est une conjonction de coordination qui sert à indiquer un choix

Exemple : Thé ou caffé ?

Où : un pronom relatif qui sert à l'expression du lieu

Hi Friends :D how are you :D and how it's going with your language learning adventure :D today I was chatting with a friend , talking about languages , when she said :

"if you ask me , it's great to learn many languages..it's incredible that you can communicate with people all over the world..but unfortunately I am a very slow learner..although I keep improving my skills as good as possible "

This happens to almost all learners , including me :) , but let's think about it ,being a slow learner is not my fault , what matters is to keep going and never give up , because we are not all the same , every learner has a method to learn languages , and if you keep something in your mind , you'll acheive it , sooner or later :D , however , there are always some methods that can make your learning way easier, that's what we are going to discover together in this post :D

Learn the most used 100 words in the language : sometimes you find some words that repeat over and over and that people use a lot in their daily conversations , try to learn these words and make simple sentences..saying short and simple sentences is much better than saying long,grammatically incorrect sentences.

Put your vocabulary into practice : it's a law that anything is lost when it's not used , you learn dozens of words today and leave your language courses for a month..do you think that you can list all vocabulary you learned before , talking about myself , I don't think so :) but if I learn these words and try to use them again and again in conversations with native speakers , by repetition , the vocabulary will stick in the mind , and by the time , you will find yourself accumulating large vocabulary and your sentences become more developed = mission accomplished ☆*: .｡. o(≧▽≦)o .｡.:*☆ YES!!

Learn from Movies and Songs : ever asked yourself : why I am learning X language ? the answer of this question would be mostly to communicate with people , that means you should know how to communicate with them , you don't have to speak like Shakespeare to prove that you know English , keep it simple :D Movies and songs are the most important source for daily vocabulary , most of movies and songs are talking about something real , daily life , so they are a good place to start , they also help to know the correct pronounciation and spelling , because you are listening and reading in the same time . try to look for subtitled movies and translated songs , there are many websites that offer translation for songs, in my case , LyricsTranslate , MusicXmatch are from my favourite websites I visit to get translation for songs , you can find my translated Arabic songs here , give it a try :D

Your dictionary , Your friend : Nowadays , mobiles become more developed and sophisticated , downloading dictionary apps on your mobile will help so much to know the meaning of words and expressions , whether you are reading song lyrics , chatting with people online , you will always need to now the meaning of some words , in some specific contexts , keep your dictionary close to you , to be your companion , it's something you will never regret :D

It's okay to make mistakes : it's not a shame to make mistakes or to say weird sentences, to err is human , sometimes , they will laugh at your weird sentences , but they will correct you and you will learn , any was the case , you are the winner :D make sentences in your mind , say incorrect sentences , make mistakes , let them see you in progress , never give up b(~_^)d .

TÖMER Turkish Test : Everything you need to know

Hi Friends , how are you :D glad to see you here again ＼(＾▽＾)／ , as I promised , new post , new topic o(*ﾟ▽ﾟ*)o , today we are going to know about one of International language tests for Turkish language : TÖMER test , whether you are planning to study or you are going to work in Turkey , some organizations and institutions may ask you for official certification to prove your language abilities fit with academic or professional requirements , where comes the importance of TOMER test..Hadi başlıyoruz arkadaşlar! ( ´ ▽ ` )b

What is TÖMER ?

TÖMER test - Türkçe Öğretim Merkezi (TÖMER) is a standardized test made by Ankara University in 1994, taking the name from the university , which is a teaching center for many languages including Turkish for foreign speakers , English,German and French . the language institution has many centers in other Turkish cities,where the candidate can have courses and test.

The certification has 12 levels , as 4 Basic Courses, 4 Intermediate Courses and 4 Advanced Courses ,with assessment exam in the end of each level to test the 4 language skills (listening, reading, speaking, writing).candidates completing Basic and Intermediate levels get certificates approved by the administration of TÖMER center ,while candidates completing Advanced level obtain diploma approved by the Presidency of Ankara University.

To pass the level , the candidate should get about 60% of the grade , if failed , he can repeat the level again ,the table below shows the grade required to pass the skills test.

Mylène: do you feel bored? why not to talk with Mylène, a French (bot)girl that can talk with you anytime , anywhere, this bot is able to reply to simple sentences, useful for learners who just start to learn French , I made a copy of previous conversations to let you see how it works .it is worth saying that the beautiful Mylène has also an English speaking brother called Jhonny that you can talk to by clicking on the name in bold . (as I'm talking now about English bots, You can also try to use Leslie, in my opinion, it's better as it can correct sentences ) ;) .

The Dot Appearance And Evolution In Arabic Language

Selam Alaykum my dear friends , how are you :D hope that you are fine and enjoying your summer vacation :D my story with this article began when I was scrolling on Facebook news feed and I found a text written in Arabic , but this time without dots O.o as the picture shows ,so after I asked uncle Google :D in addition to some friends who are studying in major of Arabic literature, I manage to get an idea about the topic

The History :

According to history,first attempts to put dots upon letters began in Abbasid dynasty,this Epoque was a change point for Arabic language ,a linguist/poet and a grammarian called Abu al-Aswad al Du'ali (603 - 688), was the first to make a letter pointing system in Arabic (664 AD) , after he noticed that many people who converted to Islam could not read the holy Qur'an properly and so could not figure out what it's said in the book .

Thanks to his pointing system , people became able to understand the meaning of words without being dependent on the context , and the sentence like the one above became easier to figure out and makes sense "it was said that an elephant killed an elephant before sunrise" :D

However , there was a problem concerning some words that have similar spelling , but still, have different meanings , so there was a need to make something which could help people to read words correctly .The solution will come 100 years later with a lexicographer called Al Khalil (also known as Al-Farahidi ) who invented Arabic diacritics as we know today :) what makes Farahidi's system better than the previous Du-ali's system , is that it includes all vowels and it's used for all syllables in the word , unlike Du'ali who used points just in the beginning and the end of the word , which is useful in case of some strict texts that requires the correct pronunciation like religious texts for example :) .

Selam my friends , how are you :D I hope you are fine and you are enjoying this week-end reading language articles and learning vocabulary of your lovely language :D today I want to start my first review about a book I bought few days ago (as it's my first review , so it is normal to lack some elements , but at least I tried to do something to help you , any suggestion will be appreciated :) ), the book is published by Assimil , a French company that was creating and publishing many languages courses since 1929 , the book as you can see in the picture is teaching Turkish for French speakers and designed for beginners to help them reach upper-intermediate level (B2 according to European Fluency Scale ) , the good thing in the book is the fact that it covers all parts in the language , from vocabulary to grammar , with exercices to apply what you learn from lessons . also , the book comes with a grammatical index and the most used expressions that you will need in your conversations with native speakers .

The book is divided in two parts : the first part is made especially to teach you vocabulary , you start to learn words and revise your grammar lessons until it sticks in your mind , with exercices like the one in the picture above to help you to get the most out of the lesson

In addition , the book gives the opportunity to the reader to know about turkish culture and lifestyle , all that while enjoying doing exercices , thanks to examples inspired from the daily turkish life .

The following is what I learned from reading this book ( I only mentionned things I learned , however , it depends on the reader , you can learn much more , but for me , the following is what I got from this book :) :) ) :

1) - I learned the counting system , now I can list numbers from 1(bir) to 1000(bin) :D (each page has a number written in digits and words exemple 84 = seksen dort :) )

2) - I got some useful informations about the most interesting places in istanbul , this can help me in case I travel to Turkey
3) - I got the French equivalant of many Turkish words

4) -Some pictures are funny enough to draw a smile on my face , it's a kind of books that combines learning , culture and fun ,and that's the reason why I chose it to write my first book review :D

What It Means To Be a Monolinguist, Bilinguist or Multilinguist ?

Hi friends :D how are you :D I hope that you are fine now, enjoying Christmas days with your family :). today I want to talk about some definitions, I think if you are into languages , you most likely heard words like , monolingual, bilingual, multilingual, polyglot , hyperpolyglot etc... but, do you know the difference between all these terms? that's what we are going to discover together in this post :)

Mono-linguist : simply , this term refers to people who speak only their native language ( one language) , crystal clear , isn't it :D

Bi-linguist: this is the second grade in language scale, refers to people who speak two languages, including their native language, like everyone in this world (as they study a second language at school ) , examples are numerous , it could be even you neighbour :D

Multi-linguist : in fact , there is an interferance ,the multilinguist is as similar as the next grade of polyglot , but with a small difference , a multilinguist is anyone who speaks from 3 to 4 languages , and honestly I find myself in this grade as I'm speaking only 3 languages (fluently) and learning 3 other ones , so at this stage , it's too early for me to talk about polyglotism , which I will try to define below :)

Polyglot : that word which amazes everyone who hear it , everyone want to be a polyglot , but..wait , what's a polyglot ? good question :D as a member of Polyglot community on Facebook , I still remember that question was posted in the community , and definitions were numerous , some people said 4 , other people say 5 , but also 6 ,which makes me confused and push me to look more for the right definition , finally , I got the answer in a website called ILanguages , which defines the term Polyglot as "Someone with a high degree of proficiency in several languages (less than 1‰ of world population speak 5 languages fluently)¹" , in other words , you need to speak at least 5 languages fluently to talk about polyglotism .

5 reasons why songs are best way to learn a language

Hola mi amigos :D ¿ qué tal ? :D I'm back again :D I hope that you still there , reading posts about language and enjoying your day :D today , I want to talk with you about one of my favourite ways to hack any language....i'm talking about songs ..yes , as you know , music feeds our souls , but beside this , it has great advantages for language learners that I'm going to list , so without making more suspense , let's start :D :

- audible material sticks in the brain more than a printed one : let's imagine that you are watching TV and you see a commercial with a song you like ...after few hours ...you go to read a novel you bought from library......now , if i asked you to repeat the line "x" in page "n" ....you are most likely to forget as you focused on the story more than focusing on vocabulary used in the novel , however , if i asked you to sing the commercial , there are chances to sing a large part of the song (well , I don't know if this fact can be applied on all people , but this is what I noticed in my daily life :D )

Learn a lot of words in short time : let's say that you are a beginner and you lack words to make sentences , with songs , you can learn a lot of words while enjoying the music :D all what you need is to look for lyrics and their translation , there are many websites that can help you with that below this article ;)

Listening to song is better than revising : in one hand , it's a pleasure to listen to songs you like , and in the other hand , it takes less effort trying to remember vocabulary :D

Portable : Nowdays , thanks to Technologic evolution , songs can be played everytime and everywhere , don't have time to set on desktop and play songs on the media player , it's ok , you can copy songs to your phone memory card and play it everywhere , on the way , at work , at home ,no need to carry old-fashioned discs or magnetic bands ( just kidding , i know it doesn't exist anymore haha :p ) , a cheap mp3 player that cost 20 $ (or you can buy generic Mp3 players that cost less , about 5$ ) can do the job perfectly :D

Last but not least , it helps you to get the correct pronounciation , most of songs are usually made by native singers , did you ever listened for exemple to James Blunt songs , Maroon 5 ,or even Avril Lavinge's songs , they are all speaking English as a First Language (EFL) , and so , they are expected to have an excellent pronounciation :D why not to get advantage from their songs .

Good morning my brothers and sisters all over the world , how are you :) this is a short message from me before desappear for a short time , these days are going so difficult for me , Exams will start 5 days from now , and I need you to pray with me to succeed and get my Business diploma , please , it will take just 5 minutes to pray with me and with all students who have exams these days ... :)

The Complete Story Behind Selling Brooklyn Bridge Expression

Hi brothers and sisters everywhere in this world , happy to see you again in my new post , this time I choose to talk with you about you about the origin of a famous American idiom , yes , I'm talking about "selling Brooklyn bridge" :D as an English learner , you experienced to hear a lot of expressions , some of them a weird enough to make me rolling on floor laughing haha :D , well , from expressions that made a question mark upon my head when I was learning English is "selling brooklyn bridge" (that is used to mean someone gullible or "stupid" ) I said "ow 0_o , why Brooklyn bridge exactly ? United States is plenty of bridges , so what made Brooklyn bridge more famous than the rest of bridges dispersed on the country .

Fortunately , as I have been studied about business , I was also interested in marketing , which led me to read an article titled "crazy ideas always succeed" (in Arabic ,by the way , the link in the end :) ) the story started in 1983 , when a person called Paul Hartunian was lied on his sofa watching , when he saw an interview with a well-known wood entrepreneur that will change the walkway on the bridge , as the wood was no more safe to walk on , here Paul hurried to buy that old wood , and he took it to one of his friends , who was working as a carpenter , and asked him to cut the wood into square pieces.

the funniest part is still coming :D Mr.Hartunian published his press bulletin that turn the world upside down "A man from New jersey sells Brooklyn bridge...for 14,95 USD !!".

Just after publishing this bulletin , he began to write authenticity certificates to attach it with wood pieces, and he invited all popular journalists to test the wood and give a proof the wood is original . this move helped him to attract more rich people and he sold all pieces he got for a large amount of money .

By this way , Paul Hartunian became a success model in his epoque , and prove to the world that nothing is impossible, and it takes just a session with yourself to bring an idea that can make this planet a place that worth to live in :D
