Whether you need to communicate with foreign staff, representatives or companies. If you can learn spanish you will always be at the forefront, and an invaluable member of any team. Having to utilise an interpreter would certainly slow things down. Languages are so important to business.What about the social events after any business meetings abroad?I live in the Canary Islands where the spanish language (or at least a dialect) is spoken by all the locals, and without any doubt at all, the best jobs are all filled by bi-lingual staff. Interpreters (often with a knowledge of more languages than required) are extremely well paid and much sought after. It pays to learn spanish here.
