Le soleil est de retour mais avec les précédents jours gris et pluvieux, j'avais envie de m'enrouler dans ma couette. Le soir, c'est donc en rêvassant et en rêvant de douceur que je me suis laissée bercer par la musique du duo, J Rabbit (제이레빗). Mes préférées sont 내일을 묻는다 et 특별한 바램. A l'heure où PSY semble avoir pris d'assaut le monde avec Gangnam style, j'avais envie de mentionner un peu des jolies voix de la K-indie : ).
Que pensez-vous de leurs chansons ? Que vous inspirent-elles ?

My favorite songs are 내일을 묻는다 and 특별한 바램. Just when PSY seams to have invaded the world with Gangnam style, I just wanted to promote nice voices from K-indie :)

Rien à voir avec la Lolita de Nabokov ! Je pense ici à ce style venant du Japon. Même si je n'ai jamais adopté ce style vestimentaire et de vie, le Gothic Lolita - et ces différents 'courants' allant du Classic au EGL - m'a toujours passionné. Des fleurs, de la dentelle mais aussi des pois ou du velours…

Nothing compared to Nabokov's Lolita ! I think about this style coming from Japan. Even I have never been dressed like this or had this way of life, I have always felt passionate by the Gothic Lolita style (as well as by the various "trends" from classic to EGL). Flowers, lace as well as dots or velvet...

Cette inspiration m'a décidée à créer une gamme sacs à bento qui portera le nom de Mademoiselle Violette. Rubans, tissus anciens, noeuds, tissus fleuris, dentelle seront à l'honneur !

Certains sacs déjà réalisés rejoindront cette gamme :) ! Si vous êtes curieux, vous pourrez les apercevoir sur mon flickR ;) !

It has inspired me in creating a new range of bento bags, which will be called "Mademoiselle Violette". Ribbons, old fabrics, bows, flowery fabrics, lace will be in favour! Some bags I already made will be part of this collection :) ! They can be seen on my flickR, if you are curious!!!

Une touche de wax

Au départ, je cherchais simplement une jupe patineuse en wax. Après des recherches infructueuses sur Etsy et Dawanda, j'ai tenté Google puis en allant de lien en lien, je suis tombée sur le site de Vlisco. Une entreprise hollandaise produisant de la wax de haute qualité.

Un petit tour sur leur lookbook et me voilà à craquer sur cette tenue ! Un petit mélange ethnique et baby-doll original.

Vlisco ne vend que des tissus mais les tenues réalisées à partir de ces derniers les mettent parfaitement en valeur. Si vous voulez en savoir davantage sur le wax ou des tissus comme le bogolan, je vous conseille blog très intéressant : la folie du wax :)

En retard - pour pas changer -, bonne année à tout le monde (≧∇≦)/ même si elle est maintenant bien entamée. L'une de mes résolutions de 2012 était de me servir de mes chutes. Des bouts pas assez grands pour servir mais pas assez petits pour être jetés non plus - bien que j'ai tendance à tout garder -. Elles s'entassaient dans un sac en attendant l'inspiration et ce dernier grossissait lentement. Il était temps de faire quelque chose.

I'm late - as usual - happy new year everyone (≧∇≦)/ even if it has already started for a while. One of my good 2012 resolution was to use my fabric officuts. Pieces which cannot be used because too small but not small enough to be thrown away - most of the time I keep them all - I had them in a plastic bag and the latter was fattening slowly in expectation of one of my inspirations. I had to do something.

Et ce sont à partir de ces morceaux que les Wabbits et les Meors sont nés. J'ai hésité entre Nyans et Meors mais le dernier faisait davantage un clin d'oeil à l'inversement du w et du r donc je l'ai gardé.

And those scraps gave birth to Wabbits and Meors. I hesitated between Nyans and Meors but the latter appeared as a nod in the direction of the reversed "w" and "r". So, I decided to keep it.

Mais que sont les Wabbits et les Meors ? Des adorables bestioles de 14cmx14cm avec des oreilles en feutrine. Celles des Wabbits ont l'avantage de pouvoir être positionnées un peu différemment. Les Meors sont... un peu plus limités :) .

But what are Wabbits and Meors ? Lovely 14 cm x 14 cm creatures with felt hears. The wabbit's hears can be positioned different ways. The Meors are as... flexible...

... for dolls only ! I received last week my order made by Jocelyn from AiClay ! I felt like a child when I opened the little box :) ! I was so excited to see how the lollipops and the macarons were... And I think I grinned stupidly for a while XD. Unfortunately due to work and cloudy days, I waited to take some pictures. So on monday, I took the chance when it was a little sunny.

Lilac wasn't really cooperative so I had to find a way in order to take pictures with him. He's holding the penguin macarons ! If you think, you have seen them somewhere, it's normal. I'm fond of Mawaru Penguin drums to the story through the drawings and the music.. And I found the penguins were extremely cute. And as you might have guessed, I'm a rabbit fan. While I was browsing Cutestfood, I thought it would be great to have two bunny lollipops for my School A and my elfdoll girl (: .

Honestly my pictures do not do justice to Jocelyn's works ! Each item is perfectly done and I was wishing it was edible miniatures (yup, sweet-thooth). The details are beautifully well done. This is mesmerizing at this scale !

Don't hesitate to commission her if you have something in your mind !! And what's more, she is super nice ✌ !

Tiny treasures

Two of my big boys are arrived to their respective face-up artists. I thought I would feel stressed or anxious, especially about the head sent in the US, but no. Unfortunately the more I see miniatures, the more I want a tiny or a cute little thing. Like… A mini-rabbit! There are so many things at the 1/12 scale… Seeing some pics of miniatures' exhibitions didn't help too. My SD are about 60cm and sometimes rearranging the room for a photoshoot just bores me :/. However since I've decided to go for a more asian/fantasy/thriller - my weakness - background, I feel more peaceful. I would need a lot of material and information… But I've a lot of items as well. I don't know if I could talk more about it on my blog :/. For the while, I'm going to spend a few days in Southern France and try a customization. As sun and listening to The Beach Boys have had a bad effect on me, I'm aiming for a surfer look on my SD xD !

WIP Bento bags

Many blogs about bento are owned by women. Don't men eat them ?
Anyway I wanted to try making some bento bags with a man touch or maybe unisex

The green one isn't good on the picture :/. This colour is really hard to take when it's pale.

I tried others combinations like white & yellow stripes with light brown and white & blue stripes with linen

All the top parts are made with japanese fabrics. They might look like more traditional than kawaii :).

When I knew, it was Rabbit's year, I became obsessed. With the cat, it's one of my favorite animal. They're just too cute !

To celebrate this year, I made a pouch in a rabbit shape. I had a colourful Ikea fabric so I gave a try. And a rabbit following an other... I found me with a troop !!

I named them :
1) Blacky ( easy-one )
2) Blue pompon ( another easy-one )
3) Beach R. ( the fabric always reminds me of Surfin' in the USA )
4) Yellow'fro ( Maybe I want an afro so badly ?! )
