I was upgrading one of my older laptops this weekend to that free operating system called <a href="http://www.ubuntu.com/">Ubuntu</a> and so I spent some good quality time with the old <a href="http://img.chinaypages.com/photo/51240993/Electric_Hot_Plate.jpg">hot plate</a>. Everything gets hot on this computer. I mean even the keyboard and <a href="http://www.t-x-2.com/articles/wp-content/uploads/2010/02/touchpad.jpg">touchpad</a> get warm. At least winter is coming and I will soon be able to turn down the thermostat in my apartment and use my laptop as a space heater. Yes, laptops get hot, but that's just the nature of the beast. <a href="http://blog.deadmessengers.net/wp-content/uploads/2008/09/car-fire-drill.jpg">Automobiles get hot</a>, but you just learn to respect the machine. The same should be true with laptops. Until manufacturers figure out a way to produce <a href="http://www.google.com/search?sclient=psy&hl=en&complete=0&site=webhp&source=hp&q=cool+running+laptops&btnG=Search">cool running laptops</a>, people need to learn how to respect the fact that laptops are little heat machines. They are like <a href="http://www.google.com/images?um=1&hl=en&complete=0&biw=1680&bih=856&tbs=isch%3A1&sa=1&q=old+hot+plate&btnG=Search">hot plates</a>. When you get burned by a hot plate do you blame the hot plate or do you blame yourself? You might blame another person, if they are the one that left the hot plate on, but you don't <a href="http://www.google.com/search?sclient=psy&hl=en&complete=0&site=webhp&source=hp&q=blame+the+machine&btnG=Search">blame the machine</a>. I can't believe people do such things as place the laptop directly on their lap for long periods of time or place the laptop on a <a href="http://www.tokyotimes.org/archives/hugging_pillow.jpg">pillow</a>, blanket, or on carpet. They show no respect for the laptop. I mean it's like running a car without water or placing your skin directly on the <a href="http://images.gmhightechperformance.com/tech/0801gm_01_z+katech_427_short_block_engine+.jpg">engine block</a>. Ok, that's it for my little rant on hot laptops.</div><br />
