The Acer AspireRevo AR3610-U9022 is the new follow-up model of the very successful Acer AspireRevo AR1600 nettop. It sports several upgrades in specs and features. From the abode of one of the world’s largest manufacturers of laptops, Dell, comes a thin and light laptop which has not yet been released by Dell, the Dell Inspiron M101z, which is the latest that it has to offer. The laptop is expected to be released sometime in August, but the people at Liliputing did get their hands on this new and appealing device and have shared their views on it.

We all know that Dell laptops are the most preferred laptops in the industry, especially by the college students. This is mostly because it has proven its ability to provide computing power and features at quite an economical budget. The unique blend of cost and facets makes the Dell laptops truly appealing and rather innovative.

The Dell Inspiron M101z laptop boasts of a new and elegant design, and is about the same size as the Dell Inspiron 11z. The laptop is actually set to replae the ultra-portable Dell Inspiron 11z laptop. Apart from the changes which are apparently visible, the notable changes included in the laptop are the provision for the AMD and ATI components, that is, the AMD processor and the ATI graphics chip.

According to Dell, the Dell Inspiron M101z laptop is accompanied by a battery which gives a backup of 6 hours and 36 minutes, and this fact shall actually play in the preference of this laptop over other 11.6 inch laptops available by other vendors, such as the HP Pavilion dm1z. The HP Pavilion dm1z has quite a similar specification sheet as the Dell Inspiron M101z laptop, but is priced at $449 is U.S., whereas the Dell Inspiron M101z laptop is accompanied by a price tag of £379 in the U.K. site, which is around $584. The price seems to be a bit higher than HP.

There have been many new Asus Eee PC has discovered in recent days and the Asus Eee PC 900AX is a stranger still. The Asus Eee PC 900AX has shown both in place of the FCC and also appeared in an official paper Asus revealed its existence.

The model name, the Asus 900AX potentially new model of Eee PC 900. This suggests that it is a 8.9-inch netbook. The first Eee PCs on the market had small screens, and over time grew by 10.1 inches being the norm, and 12-inch models on the large side. It is very strange to see a netbook relatively small 8.9-inch coming our way.

Maybe Asus will provide an update on “small” netbook on the market that some users still prefer or 900AX Asus is not intended for U.S. or Europe.

Judging by the spreadsheet it looks like Asus Eee PC 900AX be available with Windows XP and Linux operating systems. If it is confirmed that the 900AX Asus is a new 9-inch netbook, it is unknown where and when it becomes available.

Dell offers AMD Neo processors in Inspiron M101z budget laptop

It was just last week that Dell’s former “addiction” to Intel processors — a.k.a. Intel doing everything it could to make Dell not sell systems with AMD chips — resurfaced. Well, times have changed, and now you can find AMD processors in a small number of the company’s desktops and laptops. The latest is the Inspiron M101z.

This budget laptop is currently being offered in the UK with two different AMD Neo CPU options: a 1.7GHz single-core Athlon II K125 or a dual-core 1.3GHz Athlon K325. The 11.6-inch notebook also comes with 2GB of RAM and a 250GB hard drive, runs Windows 7 Home Premium, and packs ATI RS880M integrated graphics. Dell claims a typical battery life of 6.5 hours, and it’s available in blue, pink, and red lid colors in addition to basic black.

Pricing and availability for the US has not been announced, but the single-core model works out to about $587 and the dual-core one costs roughly $664.
