This blog is an open forum for educated clinical discussions regarding laser therapy, and how it can transform a person's quality of life. I welcome correspondence and am open to new ideas and perspectives. This is NOT a site to denegrate other lasers. All therapy lasers have some type of therapeutic benefit, however I am an avid supporter of Class 4 therapy lasers. This site will reflect that belief. Keep in mind that clinical applications with a Class 4 should not be duplicated with a Class 3 cold lasers.

WARNING! Do not attempt to use treatment protocols unless you are a skilled clinician with adequate Class 4 laser training.

Success in laser therapy comes down to two things.

Getting the right laser for the clinical applications you want to perform.

Clinical proficiency in laser therapy diagnosis and treatment. The best laser is only as good as the skill of it's user!

To get started here is the primary difference between Class 3 and Class 4 therapy lasers. POWER

Class 3 is maxed at 500mW of power from one laser beam.

Class 4 is cleared by the FDA for up to 10W or 10,000mW power from one laser beam.

Until next time. Get ready to soak up some knowledge and learn how to become successful.

Perry Nickelston, DC

<media:rating>nonadult</media:rating>
