If you have a broken arm, would you be satisfied if you had to walk around with a cast around your arm for the rest of your life? Probably not! You would rather have your arm restored so you can use it the way it supposed be right?

Well, apparently the same does not apply to your eyes. If your eyes are not functioning properly, that is if your vision is not perfect you dont fix the actual problem. You compensate for the problem with GLASSES or lenses, just like you would compensate for a broken arm with a cast. The difference is that glasses or lenses wont heal your eyes. On thursday may 7th we had our first two intacs patients in our eye clinic in Turkey. Mr MM and mr SY both got intacs rings around their corneas to prevent future changes in the corneas and at the same time left them free from glasses.

Keratoconus is an eye disease that makes the cornea irregular, thinner or pointy.
In time the disease can lead to big vision distortions and blindness.

Intralase Lasik replaces Lasek

A recent study has shown that lasik is safe and effective in the long run even for patients with high myopia.

196 high myopic eyes of 118 patients, preoperatively needing at least 10 diopter (10 D) corrections to achieve 20/20 vision, were evaluated ten years following surgery. 61 % of eyes were within ± 2.00 Diopters after 10 years. This is good news because the lower the vision disorder the better the chances of having 20/20 vision even after 10 years.

According to lead investigator Jorge L. Alió, “These results are extremely encouraging considering that this refractive correction implies the maximum limit of application of this technique. This study has allowed us to demonstrate that, in spite of the prejudices about the limits of LASIK technique, the results regarding predictability, efficacy and safety for high myopic patients are very good in the long term. The optimum limit of predictability for this technique is around 10 D of myopia. This reference study, with a long time perspective, allows us to know the safety, precision and limits of LASIK in highly myopic eyes.”

US Air Force has accepted a new policy allowing pilots to apply to the Air Force after having lasik laser eye surgery. The decision is based on a study showing that there were no or a very small difference between eyes that were treated with Lasik when exposed to high altitude flights and tough wind conditions.

Because pilots in the US Airforce expose their eyes to greater strains, wavefront lasik is recommended for better results. Eyes treated with wavefront lasik can stand traumas to the eye better than eyes treated with other methods.

The Lasik patients from the february group have now been home for three weeks after the eye surgery. Visiting Istanbul is usually very satisfactory for lots of people, but words cant describe how one feels after having lasik and seeing all the beautiful things using nothing but their own eyes. No contact lenses and no glasses.

Our latest reference explains that her friends and family gave her a scare before leaving for Turkey and she was alittle anxious. But as soon as she met with our guides the anxiety went away. There are alot of ways to make money on the internet, but they all have one thing in common: Traffic!
In order to sell something or have people clicks your links, you have to make people get to the site. It doesnt matter how good your idea is if you dont get traffic. So, how do you do it?
If you have some starting monet, there is Google AdWords and AdSense, sponsored links, banners, starting an affiliate etc...
But what if you dont have alot of monet to spend?

Then you have to put alot of time and effort into it. You have to make it to the top of the search engines using SEO, getting links to your site from domains with high PR and the getting links from sites such as yours and then getting more and more links.

Using SEO will get your site a bit on the way, but without incoming links there is no way to make it all the way to the top. So first you have to optimze your site for 3-4 keyword or strings, but dont overdo it because if your site is stuffed with keywords and phrases and these are not present in the text of your site, then you might be penalized or even banned from the search engines. More about this topic later....

The most important thing is the incoming links. The more incoming links the better, with some exceptions. Incoming links from link farms will only penalize your sites ranking.
Getting links from web directories are a great place to start.
Dmoz.org, Yahoo.com and Zeal.com are just a few examples. Getting into the Dmoz directory is a difficult task, Yahoo.com will charge you $299 a year to link to your site. Well, I didnt say it would be easy, I said that you have to put some time and effort into it.

Submit your site to as many directories as possible. This will give you a head start.
Then there is the most time consuming part of all. Getting linked to from sites in your business that have high PR's. More about this later....

Well, lets face it. We cant be the best at everything we do, but we can be the best in something. Use this something to your advantage. If your idea concerns something you know alot about then the sky is the limit. Try to expand your idea to other related areas. Analyze, do research, look at companies that are already working in some of the areas your idea(s) concern(s).

Are they good at what they do?
Do they make alot of money?
Can you do it better than them?

If the answer is Yes to the last two questions, then perhaps you should try it out. If the answer to the first question is No, the what the hell are you waiting for? Fire
Take a look at your competitors, what are they good at? What can you make better? Emphasize on what you want to do and how you can make more money than them.

There are several ways to get rich:

Coming up with something unique.
Copying someone elses idea and developing it to become better.
Selling stuff that are needed by people and there is a market for.
Selling your services that are cheaper and better than almost all others.
Teaching people something they really want to know and charging them for your time.
Becoming a movie/rock star
Write books/plays
and of course lots and lots of other ways...

Of course you need to put some effort into it because you wont get far with just an idea. You have to out use it in practise or sell it for a huge amount of money (this requires the idea to be quite unique.)
The way I see it, the easiest way to become wealthy today is using the internet. An idea can easily be tested and while most ideas wont get you squat (for different reasons*) you only have to have ONE great idea to make that first million.

*Reasons: stupid idea, poor implementation, no effort put into it, poor website, spelling errors, no marketing, no easy payment method and so on...
