With the move, I decided it was way past time to update the sidebar image. So here’s a photo of the lovely Miyabi from her BLT U-17 photospread from this past Autumn.

In addition, Buono!’s latest FC DVD just released and Miyabi sang Masayume solo once again. Seeing as I love the song and I love Miyabi singing it, I thought I’d share it for the launch of Last Forever on a new domain.

I’m loving this performance! Miya sings it so beautifully – even better than when she sang it at her solo event last year.

Seriously, Miyabi needs a solo song on Berryz Koubou’s next album!! How the heck does Risako have 2 solo songs on BK albums while Miya has none? The world makes no sense. -_-;

I’m sorry to say that I have been completely consumed by my love for Morning Musume ever since attending Anime Expo, and it doesn’t look like I’m going to be getting out of this mood for a little while, seeing as I’m absolutely in love with Nanchatte Renai and I’ve promised myself I would learn the lyrics to a few more of their songs…

However, I haven’t completely forgotten about Miyabi. Unfortunately, with my concentration shifted for the moment, I definitely didn’t have the time or the focus to do anything as elaborate as I did last year for her birthday. But I do believe that last year, I admitted that her birthday count down nearly killed me. XD I am simply not someone who can blog daily (and I bow down to those, ex. MorningBerryz, that can do so on nearly a daily basis).

I figured that Miya’s birthday post couldn’t be ONLY picspam, so I went and cut some footage from Berryz Koubou’s Alo-Hello! DVD… Can you guess which 2 clips?

First up, a perfect example of someone not being able to keep their eyes off of the wonderfulness that is Natsuyaki Miyabi!! … Err… well, maybe not the “perfect” example, seeing as this guy was kinda creepy (at least to the poor girls who didn’t know what was going on XD). But still, of all girls to keep focused on, I gotta say he definitely knew how to pick! ^_^

And up next, here’s the girls learning to play “Happy Birthday” on the ukelele. Perfectly fitting for today’s theme! ^_^ Granted, this skill ended up being used to sing happy birthday to Risako at the end of the DVD, but that doesn’t matter!! XD

… If you guessed “消失点-Vanishing Point-”, good job! XD I love this mainly Miyabi vocals song. I think her voice is beautiful for slower tempo numbers, and I’m impatiently awaiting a solo song for the lovely Miya.

The one flaw I find from this perfomance is that they cut the song short! I started grumbling in my room was I watched this. However, other than that, it was wonderfully done and Miya sounded heavenly, as usual. And with that, enjoy the clip! ^_^

To celebrate this marker in their careers, Berryz Koubou have released some photo sets, so I’m here to share the miya pic spam!

I have no idea what it says in that kanji. Some fellow wotachatters tried to help me out, but it seems I need the full sentence it goes with, and I need all the photos with the Berryz girls to figure it out. XD Oh well, Miya looks cute here!

My one question with regards to these 5th anniversary photos: When did they do this photoshoot? Miya’s hair has been short since early January. It just seems a little weird to me that they would do the photoshoot for an event like this more than 2 months in advance… o_O

This time’s bonus DVD featured the making of the jacket – basically the photoshoots for the covers. So, it’s time to pic spam the beauty that is Natsuyaki Miyabi here. Seeing as the photoshoot for the single was done a little while ago, Miya’s hair is still long here. She looks stunning in this photoshoot (though I have to say that she looks absolutely gorgeous in the co.no.mi.chi PV with her short hair).

I used this photo to name Miya was the Hottest Idol of 2008 on the fields 2008 H!P awards, but I forgot to mention how wonderful she looks with her new ‘do. I first saw photos of the ‘do in photos from the Winter WOnderful Hearts concert, and I wasn’t too impressed… But the co.no.mi.chi PV definitely changed my mind!

OHHH!! And one final note… Don’t forget to vote for the 2008 International Wota awards!!! Last Forever is one of the nominees for best eyecandy/worship blog… So support Miya! ^_^

Silly SB. How could he ever think to question my ability to watch a solo Miyabi DVD. XD Anyway, I thoroughly enjoyed the group DVD as well as Miya’s… But since this is a Miyabi worship blog, I thought I’d post a few screen caps and clips featuring the wonderful Natsuyaki Miyabi!

Lady Panther!!

First up, is the intro to the concert, featuring what I was most excited for when I first heard the audio rip of the concert – the girls playing instruments!! ^_^ And with the Miya footage, we get 4 bars of Miya playing the bass! How exciting!! And, to round it off, I kept the rest of Nakimushi Shounen in here, since it’s one of my favourite songs from the Café Buono! album.

Up next is Miya’s preformance of Internet Cupid. I find that the dance to this song feels off beat, but it’s so gosh darn cute!! <3 AND, having the camera focused on Miya the whole way through just makes it that much cuter! ... SB's a weirdo for wondering how someone could watch a solo DVD.

And finally, to wrap up this concert highlights post (not that I’m saying these are the BEST moments of the concert… The concert is just so full of win, it’d be hard to choose. THOUGH, the live band for the second half of the concert is AWESOME!) some screencaps of Miya busting out some wonderfully kawaii poses during an MC segment. ^_^ Enjoy!

RAWR… Or should I say GAO! XD The perfect mix of hawtness and cuteness. <3

And my first thought was: “Why does this remind me of a recent pic…? o_O”

Upon further though, the lightbulb lit over my head and I went searching deeperin to the H!O Miyabi section until I found this, which was posted back on Sept 14 2008…

I know I saw that picture way before this past September, and upon further search, I found her in the same outfit here – from a pic posted in October 2007.

I just have to say, that first pic foreshadows Miya’s future… XD She was being molded to be in Buono! from quite a young age.. And as I say with every little Miya to current Miya progression, she’s moved from adorble to hawt quite nicely!

In addition to beings absolutely ecstatic about that fact, I held out the major hope that the FC event would eventually be released on DVD, and we would get the chance to WATCH Miya perform that amazing song, and the other songs that she sang so wonderfully on the fan audio that was shared.

Well, my wish has come true, and the FC DVDs are now available for download!!! I just finished the 2nd DVD content a few hours ago…. The second DVD being my number one priority because, well, Miya was on that DVD. XD I have already gone through and cut out the songs, and added a lovely little clip in the middle simply because Miya is so gosh darn cute!! <3

What can I say that I didn’t say on the previous post… I already commented on her performances… All I can add is that Miya’s so pretty, but I say that in pretty much every post on this blog. XD

AAAHHHHHH!!!! MASAYUME!!!! I’m telling you, my torrent was going bonkers and teasing me. I got to less than 1 minute, and when I noticed that, the time remaining suddenly decided it wanted to increase… from 30 seconds, to 45, to a minute, to 3 minutes, to infinity… XD I wanted to cry. But eventually, it loved me again!!

I just had to add this in because it would be a travesty to ignore all of the kawaiiness that Miyabi exudes in these few seconds… <3

One of the competitions was… A COOKING COMPETITION!! And what were they cooking? Eggs!! … So, obviously, the first thing that came to mind was “Has Miyabi improved on her cooking of eggs since the last time?”

So, I chopped out Miya’s bit so everyone could see for themselves how it went.

I must say, as I watched her put in:

1 sugar… That’s okay…

2 sugars… I guess it’s still okay… There were a few eggs in there.

3 sugars… Hmm, I wonder how sweet it is with three.

Um, that’s 4 sugars… Does Miya remember what happened last time? XD

Oh good, she’s beating the eggs now. All done with the sugar… right?

Or not… XD 5 sugars into the eggs. o_O

So, as I was saying… As I watched her put in 5 packets of sugar into the eggs, I started to get a little worried. But, at least this time she didn’t put the eggs onto the pan and then dump a crapload of sugar onto them… Letting the sugar caramelize. XD

She put her egg together so carefully though. I must say I was impressed as I watched Miya add the eggs gradually. GO MIYA!

What a pretty final product… Err, well, how pretty can eggs be? XD

And what were the judges taste test reactions?

Well, Captain’s reaction here is a lot better than last time. LOL

And, I think that’s a thumb’s up from Maimi… Well, she definitely made happy eating sounds. Not captured so well in pictures

And the final verdict from the wonderful judges?

What’s that? Who won? 3 points? WURD! GO MIYA! Seeing the results of this, I say Miya’s highly improved, or Chinami totally brought her down last time… Or maybe a little bit of both. XD

I looked up the translation for this song, and it really has nothing to do with celebrating one’s birthday… BUT, the title is “Today is my Birthday” and today is Miya’s birthday… And Miya’s singing in this performance, so…. Really it makes sense to post this video, in a twisted sort of way. XD

Up next, is my little creation in honour of Miya’s birthday. I’ve mentioned Wotachat in my main blog a few times, but I don’t think I’ve mentioned it here.

Wotachat is a chat room in IRC where many International Wota readers and contributors, as well as some non blogger/blog readers gather to chat about pretty much anything J-culture related (and other random topics as well). A great many H!P fans frequent that room, and you can be sure that H!P will be talked about multiple times in a day.

Originally, wotachat was hosted by pengie of unchained, but this past April (nearly May), we moved over to IRC (on the Rizon server, channel #wotachat). Upon moving to IRC, I quickly started using my old IRC client and set up some remotes to respond to certain words said in chat. One of them is the word “Miya” or “Miyabi” (or “Natsuyaki”). If someone says one of those three things, my nick will automatically respond with “MI.YA.FOR.THE.WIN”. This response has a tune in my head – it goes along with the “A.I.SHI.TE.RU” or “DA.KI.SHI.ME.TE” from Buono!’s ‘Kiss!Kiss!Kiss!’ single.

So, come Miya’s birthday, I got the idea to make a song for Miya, set to the tune of ‘Kiss!Kiss!Kiss!’ because I already had one line ready to go… XD So, this is me, singing a birthday song for Miya.

Please take note that I am a horrible lyricist. Also, recording this song made me realize how difficult ‘Kiss!Kiss!Kiss’ is to sing. I’ve sung it a million times, but hearing it recorded really lets you hear where you screw up. It still sounds screwed up to me, but I don’t have any time left to fix it*… XD The jumps from high to low pitch are so tricky, and I’ve never taken vocal lessons, so… Yea, tricky. Particularly the 7 semitone jumps up and down in the prechorus. Those tried to kill me. As did the chorus. XD Forgive the first line.. I don’t know what happened.
