Did you know that there is a right way and a wrong way to tie a bow? Ever notice how your bows just kind of wilt and never really look perfect? Well there's a little trick for tying a perfect bow every time. If you're tying the bow on yourself, the key is to remember to pull the right loop over and under. Sounds simple but it makes all the difference. Try it. Let me know what you think.

What I do ...

Since I don't have an outfit post today, I thought it might be fun to share some of the creative work I've done for Threadsence. Most of what I do revolves around me dreaming up our features, lookbooks, and main page moodboards. I work closely with the creative team to conceptualize our themes, create moodboards, scout locations, build sets, and cast models. I also do most of the set styling. ( Note: I do NOT style the clothing, our amazing stylist Kat does). It's a dream job. Below are some of the latest projects I've worked on. I am most proud of my work on the We Are All Mad Here lookbook, as Threadsence pretty much gave me full control over the entire concept and set styling of the LB. We're shooting our next lookbook in February. We've been planning it since October and I can't wait see it come to life.

FUN FACT: This is not part of my "day" job at Threadsence and Ruche, it's just something I do on top of my marketing and social media work.

Sam and I spent a couple of days hiding out at the London in West Hollywood.

We spoiled ourselves with sugary brunches, enjoyed late dinners at Gordon Ramsay's, and relaxed by the pool. It was a much needed weekend of overindulgence.

Last night I had the pleasure of popping by the Quiksilver party. It was an intimate affair with more than a few of my favorite people.

The best part of the evening was the fact that my Loeffler Randalls seamlessly transitioned by work outfit into a party look. Hooray for neon snake print!

But in all seriousness, the Loeffler Randall Resort Collection is what my dreams are made of.

One of my favorite holiday traditions is escaping into the Malibu canyons for a quiet picnic of leftovers coupled with breathtaking views. Sam and I have a secret spot where

the entire LA sprawl, from Ventura all the way to Orange County, is visible to the naked eye. It's the perfect place for a a nap in the sun, and a little self-reflection.

Rememeber that shopping trip I took to TJMaxx? We'll here's the Zac Posen bag I snapped up for my impossible to shop for mom.

Is your mom hard to shop for? Go to my Facebook and tell me what you buy for the mom who has everything. I'll pick one lucky winner to win a shopping trip to T.J. Maxx/Marshalls.

This year I decided to get a little festive with my wrapping by hand painting my own wrapping paper and using bits of lace, yarn and ornaments to finish off my gifts.

On my way out of the store I snagged a few nail polishes and free-handed some festive designs.

Hint: You can also use strips of tape to create cleaner lines for the candy cane affect below. And yes, I'm terrible at painting nails, so don't judge me.

So what's my take away from my shopping trip at T.J. Maxx/Marshalls?

For my last Steve Brings It post I slipped on my favorite vintage dress and coat for a relaxed dinner party look.

I love throwing low key dinner parties. They're stress free and always a good time.

Here are my 5 tips for throwing an irresistible dinner party.

1. Always have a great playlist.

2. A homemade cocktail is the perfect way to start the night. I like Mojitos in the summer and Sangria for fall.

3. Don't forget the dessert.

4. Scatter vintage glass bottles filled with fresh flowers around the table for a deconstructed center piece.

5. I like to end the nights with coffee on our roof.
