If you love the durability of the Lumia 900 and Lumia 920 will certainly not let you down. Phonebuff’s team tested the Nokia Lumia 920 by scratching it with car keys, slicing body with a knife, slamming a mallet on it’s screen, and finally using it to hammer in a nail into a piece of wood. The result is skin Lumia 920 just a scratch on the body - only a little screen. CONCLUSIONS: The Nokia Lumia 920 with Windows Phone 8 version is still with the same durability. Alghough the Body is a glossy.

Never leave a device charging while unattended. Why, you ask? Because there’s always the off chance that something like this could happen.

What you’re looking at are images of one user’s Nexus 7 after it was left charging — unattended — for a good couple of hours. When the owner returned to where the Nexus 7 should have been sleeping peacefully, she was greeted with a room with smoke and the Nexus 7 melted to a toasty Pop-Tart.

According to the Chinese forum where the images were posted, the user was using the factory OEM charger and the device was only left charging for a total of 3 hours before spontaneously com busting. We’ve seen cases in the past where shady characters have attempted to pass off exploding devices as a manufacturer defect, only to later find out the cause was owner misuse. This doesn’t appear to be indication of foul play and apparently ASUS has already dealt with the matter, sending off a shiny new replacement. Let’s hope the new one has better luck.

It can be seen that the explosion occurred on mobile phone several times. Whether the news of the explode earlier of Apple or Samsung, so it’s not uncommon for this accident. So the best way is you should protect yourself.

The iPad mini with 7.9-inch tablet display from Apple, the strength of the iPad mini that is not only super thin and light design, but the starting price of iPad mini has to be considered too. And became a rival of the many affordable tablet on the market right now, although the iPad mini will be priced slightly higher. But i’m quite sure that the features and functionality from Apple is way better choice.

Key Features:

- 7.9-inch screen resolution 1024 x 768 pixels (163 ppi).
- System Processor Dual-core processor (Apple A5 chipset) CPU, which is the same as the iPad 2.
- RAM size of 512MB.
- Built-in memory of 16GB, 32GB and 64GB.
- Front camera 1.2 megapixel.
- Back camera 5 megapixel and no flash.
- 4G/3G + Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi only options.
- 7.2mm thick, weight 308 g.

iPad mini - Screen

7.85in, 1,024 x 768 pixels, IPS panel

If you expect to see a screen as dazzling as the iPad 3’s in the iPad mini, you may be a teeny bit disappointed. It’ll use a 1,024 x 768 pixel panel, which is the same number that featured in the iPad 2 and the original iPad. Of course, sharpness will be significantly better than those old timers because the iPad mini screen is around 2in smaller - 7.85in across rather than 9.7in.

This means the iPad mini pixel density is 163dpi, which will be more than enough to keep text and images looking pretty sharp at normal viewing distances, but isn’t a patch on the 264dpi of the iPad 3. The iPad 2, meanwhile is 148ppi.

This pixel density is also lower than the most obvious Android rival, the Google Nexus 7, which packs 1,280 x 800 pixels into a 7in screen. All told, it should make for a good compromise of readability and sharpness, though.

The benefit of using the familiar 1,024 x 768 resolution is that the iPad mini should have no problems running any iPad apps that aren’t made exclusively for the Retina display iPad. You should be able to run just about any iPad app with no problems.

iPad mini - Body and design

Anodised aluminium, iPhone 5-like black anodised option

As you’d expect the iPad mini back is hewn from aluminium giving it the same premium feel as its bigger brother. But, it has a slightly different style. It’s flatter and squarer, making it more akin to a large iPod touch – sadly there’s no Loop though. It also has either a plain sandblasted finish or a black anodised one like the iPhone 5.

As with all previous iPads the glass of the screen runs right to the edge of the device with a choice of black or white for the bezel, which is much thinner than on the full size tablet. We’d suggest it looks like the nicest mini tablet on the market, trumping the Google Nexus 7 and Kindle Fire HD.

It’s light too at just 308g (0.68lkbs) – less than half the weight of the iPad 3 - and with a thickness of 7.2mm it’s mighty thin too.

iPad mini Connectivity

Lightning connector, headphone jack, Wi-Fi, 4G and Bluetooth 4.0

A key feature of this new tiny tablet is that it sports Apple’s new Lightning connector which debuted on the iPhone 5. This is much smaller than the 30-pin connector as used on all previous iPads and iPhones but there has been much gnashing and wailing over the fact it requires investing in either new docks, cables and other accessories. In particular there’s uproar that the iPhone 5 doesn’t include the £25 adapter that converts Lightning back to the old connector type, and so it is here. But, at least with the iPad mini and newly updated iPad 3 Lightning the new connectors will start to become more common, so finding a spare in an emergency will be easier.

Elsewhere the iPad mini sports the standard headphone jack on its top edge while on the inside you’ve got Wi-Fi and 4G options, as well as Bluetooth 4.0.

iPad mini - Battery Life
10 hour battery life

Apple has managed quite a feet of engineering by giving the iPad mini an impressive 10-hr battery life, which trumps its nearest rivals by a couple of hours. This despite the tablet being so thin. Impressive stuff.

iPad mini - Software

iOS 6

The iPad mini will use iOS 6, the version of Apple’s mobile software that was released alongside the iPhone 5. It hasn’t received too much love yet, though.

The main offender is iOS 6 Maps, which is so bad that Apple CEO Tim Cook has actually apologised for it. So bad that it has put some people off upgrading their iPhones to the new software.

However, it’s not as big a problem for the iPad mini as the iPhone. Larger devices like iPads are rarely used as on-the-go navigation tools, and unless you’re going to opt for the 3G/4G model, Maps won’t be of much use at all.

iOS 6 does offer some worthwhile changes, though. It features proper Facebook and Twitter integration, letting you post directly from the pull-down notifications bar.

The App Store has been redesigned too, making it look a bit better. Yes, iOS 6 isn’t world-changing (aside from Maps, which makes some decidedly dodgy changes to the world), but it’s not bad. For more, check out our iOS 6 review.

Apple also unveiled a new iBooks app that includes support for 40 languages - including right to left page turning - as well as a new continuous scrolling mode for those that don’t like to turn pages.

iPad mini - Processor

Dual-core A5 chip

As mentioned earlier, the iPad mini is essentially the same as a shrunk iPad 2 and sure enough it uses the same A5 processor. This should keep the tablet zipping along quickly.

iPad mini - Memory

16/32/64GB, non expandable

As the first real “budget-focused” iPad, there was much speculation that the iPad mini would come in an 8GB flavour but no, the options are the same as the full size iPad with 16, 32 and 64GB versions on offer.

iPad mini Camera

Apple is a reputed brand that has a lot of customers around the world. Which is known to be loyal to Apple products they use. Although some product got many problem. But they still love and support of new products, but it seems to keep the loyalty of our customers, Apple is already falling. When iPhone users has decreased, especially in Europe and the United States.

BGR website has revealed information about the behavior of the latest iPhone. Starting from a European survey of iPhone users last year. Will you buy a new iPhone version comes out or not. Users over 88% responded to buy. But a recent survey of this year to buy the iPhone down to only 75% .The users in the United States, over 88% chose to buy the Apple smartphone. The numbers dropped from 93% last year, although the number of users is lower quite a bit. But it lost market share to Apple not less. Because there are some iPhone users not decide to buy a new iPhone (iPhone 5) and still waiting for the next generation iPhone which has feature than this. And some users switch to other brand such as Android phone and so on.

The real reason for the decrease. Likely from the age of Apple by Steve Job is end. But the beginning of a new era with Tim Cook, to lead users to expect to see an exciting new innovation from Apple. Just have only a minor change in the product that was launched recently and the problems that it does not end. Such as the hardware problem of the iPhone 5 as the phone is scratched easily or a software problem in the map, which their are the most user claim right now. All issues have not been resolved and continues to be a problem to the user. And here is the point that many users stop interested, and turned to new products from other brands instead.

If you’re wondering why the iPhone 5 won’t be dispatched for three to four weeks, here’s your reason. Manufacturer Foxconn can’t make them fast enough, according to its chairman Terry Gou.

“It’s not easy to make the iPhones,” Gou told reporters. “We are falling short of meeting the huge demand.”

He didn’t specify which model is proving particularly tricky, but it’s thought he was referring to the latest incarnation.

Last month, an unidentified Foxconn worker said that making the iPhone 5 was “very complicated”, hence the supply issues. They described the handset as “the most difficult device that Foxconn has ever assembled.”

Tricky design

The iPhone 5 is taller and slimmer than the iPhone 4S, with a larger 4-inch screen. It also has a smaller dock connector.

“It takes time to learn how to make this new device,” the unnamed worker told the Wall Street Journal. “Practice makes perfect. Our productivity has been improving day by day.”

Between 3,000 and 4,000 Foxconn workers were also reported to have gone on strike last month, though the company denied it. The workers said unfair demands were being placed on them. The company also allegedly provided inadequate training for those putting together the new device.

It was also claimed workers were made to work over a national holiday, though Foxconn said any who did were paid extra, in line with national labour laws.

The iPhone 4S and 4 are in stock at Apple’s online store, so should be dispatched as soon as you order.

While consumers are exiting with size and design of iPad Mini, but with a lower resolution screen (1024 x 768 pixels) were proved. It is not as satisfying as it could be. Especially when compared to competitors “Tablet” that cheaper. Analysis from DisplayMate revealed that screen of the iPad Mini is not only a little sharper. But it also has disadvantages in terms of other features when compare with competitor as well.

Previously, most users expect iPad Mini to come with Retina display. But it turns out that the real screen resolution is 1024×768 pixels same with iPad 2 but sharper than iPad 2 from the density of pixels greater on screen size smaller, however, the contrast of it can not compared to iPhone and iPad earlier versions. Usually Apple will be called the manufacturer of the gadget with hight quality display. Even latest report from DisplayMate said that new iPad had highest quality display, but for iPad Mini DisplayMate show the opposite opinion. Especially when compared to competitors like Google Nexus 7 and the Amazon Kindle Fire HD, Display for iPad Mini which is still several steps behind competitors.

Except for screen resolution, wide range of the color of the iPad Mini is lower than the competition as well. With the width of the color display is 62%, while the Kindle Fire HD and Nexus penetration to 82%, if compared with the products of Apple company own the iPhone and iPad as a premium screen because of the color gamut up to 100%. iPad Mini display has a low saturation or show colors not quite right. And the reflection of light on screen is also higher than competitors. (With light reflecting off 40% - 50%), which means that the visibility and contrast are greatly reduced when using the iPad Mini in the light bright.

However, the disadvantage of the iPad Mini screen which DisplayMate revealed. For some users. It may be no issue at all. Because what they want is a thin and light, which even when compared to competitors of iPad Mini screens are inferior to many. However, when compared in the tablet market on two year agos, the iPad Mini screens have been very good quality compared to the price and the quality overall is. Consumers may not be aware of the disadvantage screen. But it is recommended that The reader will have to prove and see by your eye at the shop.

As we look at specs of the iPhone 5 compared with the Samsung Galaxy S III, Nokia Lumia 920 and Motorola Droid RAZR HD, we can see patterns emerging, such as all the iPhone 5′s competitors have a screen that’s at least 720p (1,280×720 pixels), dual-core 1.5GHz processors, an updated operating system (although that’s debatable in the case of Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich), an 8-megapixel camera and 4G LTE — all functioning as de facto standards in this highest echelon of smartphone goodness.

This Ping app by the guy who made PushGmail is a mix between text messaging and instant messaging. What you need to know is that it’s free and it’s fast.

Ping is designed to look like the SMS app, and behaves much the same way. The messages you send arrive at the recipient’s screen instantly—similar to IMs—but also pop up with a Push Notification if you’re not actively using the phone.

It’s basically free SMS for you to everyone who has an iPhone or iPod Touch (over Wi-Fi) as long as you can convince them to sign up for Ping. Even if you can’t, the ones you do switch over might be enough for you to downgrade your SMS plan one notch to save some money.

In the end, this may either be a really useful SMS alternative for iPhones, or a service that’s not different enough from SMS or IM that people will use it. It’s too early to say.

Nokia appear to have seen reason and implemented a much needed change in policy in the Ovi Store regarding re-downloading content. Up until now customers’ purchases were tied to the device they used to purchase the content, not their account. That is if a customer bought content on their N97 they couldn’t just download the content on another handset as it was tied to the N97.

Now though purchases are tied to the user’s Ovi account so that purchases can be downloaded at liesure again and again if need be; once the content has been paid for once there’s no need to re-purchase it. It was a bit of a strange setup in the first place and certainly not a system that would have endeared itself to many customers, but it seems Nokiais getting on the ball and sorting it out. The Ovi store in general has had something of a shaky start, but Nokia do seem to be getting a ahndle on it and pushing it forwards … eventually.
