Apple Park is designed to be seamless with nature. It's open, transparent. It brings the outside in. Open floor plans have become the norm in many industries after tech companies touted the advantage of this arrangement for collaboration and innovation. And perks like in-offices, childcare centers, and communal cafeterias have also gained traction, as companies compete to attract top talent. But coronavirus may make this type of work environment a thing of the past, at least for the near future, as companies try to balance communal work with safety. In an investigation recently published bySouth Korea's Centers for Disease Control, out of the 216 people who worked on the floor of a call center, 94 people tested positive for the virus. And employees are understandably concerned. A recent survey of over 2,000full-time employees showed that over half believe their work site will need to be restructured to create more personal space.

While 49 percent believe that open offices and workspaces are no longer conducive to their health and wellness. It's never a good idea to force your employees under fear of losing their jobs to come to work. So employers will have to give employees some kind of flexibility. Tech companies, like everyone else, will need to adapt before they can bring their workforce back into the office. When it comes to reopening offices, it seems that everyone from Google, to Twitter to Facebook is taking a measured approach. We've made the decision that we're going to be on the slow end of having people come back to work. We've already started opening up some of the offices for certain roles that really can only be done there. But, we'll open up a little more slowly over time than might otherwise be possible, just in order to make sure that the folks who really need to be able to stay open, kind of have right of way on that. Facebook is asking employees who can do their jobs remotely to do so through the end of the year and canceling all company gatherings of over 50 people through June 2021. I think we're going to be the most forward-leaning company on remote work, at our scale, for sure. And the plan that we have initially involves a couple of big steps. The first is aggressively opening up remote hiring. And we are going to couple that with a more measured approach to opening permanent remote work for existing employees. Zuckerberg predicts that 50 percent of the company's employees could be working remotely within the next five to 10 years. An internal company survey also found that of those interested in full-time remote work, 75 percent expressed some interest in moving to a different city. But Zuckerberg warned that if employees wanted to move to a different location, they may face pay cuts that would reflect the lower costs of living in those areas. Google told its employees that it will slowly reopen its offices starting July 6th, beginning with 10percent building occupancy and eventually building up to 30percent occupancy by September.

Though Google didn't offer specifics, Pichai said in an email to employees that offices would have rigorous health and safety measures in place to ensure social distancing and sanitization procedures are followed. For most employees, going back into the office will remain voluntary until the end of the year. In the meantime, Google is covering up to $1,000 for employees' home equipment and office furniture. But the company has warned employees that it will not pay for perks like lunch for those working from home. Although Amazon's warehouse employees have worked throughout the pandemic to keep deliveries coming for customers stuck in lockdown, Amazon's corporate workers have been working from home since early March. The company has said that any of its corporate workers can continue to work from home until October 2nd. For employees that wish to return to the office, Amazon said it would put in place safety measures including physical distancing, deep cleaning, temperature checks and the availability of face coverings and hand sanitizer. Apple reportedly started to bring some workers back to its 2.8 million-square-foot campus in May, including some hardware and software engineers. Some employees are working from the Apple campus only a few days a week as the building gradually reopens.

When workers arrive, they will have the option of taking a Covid-19 test, but temperature checks are required. Apple has also closed many breakrooms and kitchens, is limiting the number of people in elevators and asking employees to wear masks. The company has also been opening some of its retail stores across the country with requirements for customers to pass temperature checks and wear masks before they enter. In the most drastic case, Twitter toldits employees that they can work from home forever. The company is also offering to pay for home office expenses. Though Twitter was embracing remotes work even prior to the COVID outbreak. We are a global service that requires global perspective. For us to continue to thrive and be valuable to people around the world, we need people from around the world to work with us. Our concentration in San Francisco is not serving us any longer, and we will strive to be a far more distributed workforce, which we will use to improve our execution. The trend of people leaving the pricey tech hubs of New York and San Francisco was already in motion even before the coronavirus outbreak. And with remote work becoming mainstream, it will likely accelerate. The sort of workplace is becoming more highly skilled. And that means that your typical workeris turning more into a knowledge worker. And where and when they do theirwork is less of a concern than it ever has been.

Massachusetts and New Jersey, are suspending these nexus rules. But it's not known how long the suspension will last. Plus, with the drain on social resources, states may be more motivated than ever to tax businesses. I think that the states if you collectively look at it, have said that the COVID- 19 crisis is going to put them in a $500 billion deficit. They've got to find some way to recoup that. And this might be one way that they do it. And then there are taxes the employee has to pay, which also vary widely from state to state. From an employee side, you're going to have withheld that, that withholding tax can double up and maybe triple up. And depending upon the state rules, you might not be able to get that money back at the end of the year. Remote work is nothing new, but the U.S. has never experienced dealing with remote workers at such scale. Kirkendall thinks that now is a good time for the federal government to step in and establish a unilateral set of nexus rules, at least for the duration of the crisis. If we could get that out of the federal government, it would do a lot to alleviate the burden on businesses, and I think ultimately it would do a lot to alleviate the uncertainties that we have. And then there's the question of how companies' investments, like new software for employees, will be taxed. You could get credits and incentives for the investments. It's another item that could potentially give you nexus in a state. And from a sales tax perspective, you have the question of what's the taxability and what state gets the tax?

All of these employees working from home begs the question, what will happen to tech-companies' massive campuses? Over the past few years, they'vemade headlines with increasingly showy real estate acquisitions. Though there haven't been plans tocompletely close down offices, there are clues that expansion may slow. In late May, Facebook said it's reducingthe office space of its 50-plus acre developmental proposal in Menlo Parkfrom 1.75 million square feet to 1.25 million square feet. This will translate to about 2,550 fewer employees in the building. There's a big challenge right now, which is that a lot of opportunities are only available in cities in these metropolitan areas, which means that people kind of need to choose between the lifestyle that they want and sometimes would need to move to a cityand leave that in order to have good economic opportunities. But it's not clear why that should have to be the case.

Still, Zuckerberg acknowledges that recreating tech culture remotely will be difficult. In general, I think one of the big challenges with remote work that we're all going have to work through is the feeling of a kind of building social bonds, building culture and creativity together. When asked whether or not Google will continue with plans to build out its new campus in Mountain View, CEO Sundar Pichai told Wired that he expects that the company's existing footprint will notbe an issue and that there is a lot of growth planned ahead. Apple, which unveiled its meticulously-designed "spaceship" campus just three years ago, has many open floorplan work areas, which the company may need to redesign before bringing back its entire workforce. When these tech campuses do open backup, employees will likely find them looking very different from the way they remember. Commercial real estate firm, Cushman and Wakefield, has shifted its business model to guide clients through this unprecedented time. The firm says it has helped10,000 businesses and almost one million people in China transition back to the office. Based on that experience and data from the World Health Organization, Cushman and Wakefield constructed a mockup of, what it calls, the "Six Feet Office," in Amsterdam to demonstrate what a safe office space may look like. The six-foot rule in termsof social distancing is really all we have at the moment for protection. So with that in mind and understandingthat people won't have time to reconstruct their office, they are notgoing to have that ability. So most of what we are recommending inour playbook is, you're able to do at zero cost.

Some practices company recommends include installing Plexiglas partitions between workspaces and puttinga piece of paper over desks that can be discarded every day,as well as only walking in one direction in hallways and not using your hands to touch elevator buttons. Organizations are in a cash preservation mode,so the want to sort of deliver a lot of capital into reimagining the workplace is not something that they're doing. They want to try to figure out how do we make do with what we have? De-densify and make sure that people are following whatever the de-densification standards thatwe're putting in place. Cushman and Wakefield suggested companies institute staggered start times and limit the number of people in elevators and conference rooms. The company also believes some people will continue to work from home, but not the majority and not always. Tech companies are going to continue to grow and tech companies are going to continue to want the collaborative effort of their employees done, by and large, in person, even as efficient as we've become from home. To build a collaborative environment, to build a brand, to build loyalty, to build trust and to create innovative breakthroughs, that's going to be done with a collective group. And that's going to be done inthe office for the most part. And then there are high-tech solutions. Brooklyn-based StrongArm Tech created a wearable device initially intended to help warehouse workers avoid injuries. But the company has now reconfigured the gadget to keep workers safe amid COVID. The Fuse is able to encourage social distancing using its sensors that communicate with each other. As two users approach each other,we have haptic feedback that's delivered as they start to encroach on a thatsix-foot parameter that was indicated by the CDC as theproper social distancing guidelines. This system is also capable of contact tracing.

With contract tracing, we're able to discreetly understand every single person that that individual of question had come in contact with. And we do that because we were built in a time-series database. So we're able to get forensic and understand down to the millisecond all of the interactions of that individual. And that's helping us build better protocols moving forward and better reopening strategies for clients as weget more data into that system. Estimote is another company advertising the use of its wearable beacons as a safeguard against the spread of coronavirus. Like StrongArm's tech, Estimote's beacons also vibrate if employees get too close to one another and keep track of interactions. The company has previously worked with the likes of Amazon, Apple, and Nike to help them track the movement of their products and people.

Density also makes a device that counts how many people pass through a hallway or congregate ina conference room. A new version of the gadget will send alerts to staff if a particular area becomes too crowded. Even Microsoft has partnered with UnitedHealthGroup to make a coronavirus screening app. Both companies are already using the app, which is basically a daily symptom screener, with their employees and has opened it up to others for free. Other solutions being discussed are installing temperature checks at office entryways, which are already commonplace in China and using ultraviolet light to disinfect high-traffic areas. Amazon is already using a thermal camera to take the temperature of its warehouse employees. In a clip shared with "60 Minutes,"the company also showed a prototype UV-light robot, which could be used to disinfect Amazon's warehouses and Whole Foods stores. In the end, what the future of the tech office looks like, maybe up to the employees as much as it'sup to the companies. Corporations probably are going to find themselves in roughly three categories. People who literally cannot goto work because they have kids and so forth and so on. People who don'twant to go to work, or they are worried about exposure because they have co-morbidities and so forth, and people who are just dying to go to work, right? They just can't wait to get out of the house. So my guess is that you're going tosee pods of people which will organize themselves, that this group will beover in this remote place. This group will bein the central office. These people will never come intoeither because they have legitimate fears until this thing gets resolved, which is a long time, and that these little teams will organize in virtualpods and they'll work it out.

Keep Yourself Calm during Pandemic

Coronavirus can stir up all sorts of feelings. Like fear, anxiety or stress. A little stress can be helpful. It can be the motivator that keeps us self-isolating or washing our hands. But constant or high levels of stress can negatively affect our mental and physical health. Taking care of our minds is always important, but doing so in the middle of a pandemic can be really tricky. Here are some tips and techniques to help us all get through this. Start your day well It can be tempting to reach for your phone or switch on the news first thing in the morning but starting the day with a simple mindfulness exercise, such as ‘Notice 3 things’, can help you check in with how you’re feeling and connect with your environment. Mindfulness is well known to make people feel calmer and cope better with stress. This quick exercise takes less than a minute.

Before you get out of bed: pause and concentrate on 3 things you can see. For example, your patterned curtains, the blue sky or even just a lightbulb. Then listen for 3 things you can hear. The sound of cars passing by, a singing bird or the hum of your boiler. And finally, notice 3 things you can feel in contact with your body. Your PJs, bedsheets or even your cat. Get planning Although it’s tempting to stay curled up in bed - adapting and creating positive new routines can be helpful and keep you motivated. For example, in the place of what was your morning commute or a school-run: listen to a podcast or go for a walk Incorporating some form of exercise outdoors if possible, into every day is good for mental and physical wellbeing. And set aside time to speak to friends, family or work colleagues every day. Connecting with others releases feel-good hormones that help to relieve stress. Stay informed, not overloaded Although we are able to cope with some stress here and there, being constantly exposed to a rolling fear-inducing news-feed can impact your mental health Hearing upsetting or anxiety-provoking news triggers a stress-response in our bodies.

Keeping informed is important, but managing your social media and information intake will make a big difference to how you feel. Try to limit the time you spend listening to, watching or reading things about the outbreak Turn to one or two reliable sources for news and check them just once or twice a day to stay informed. If feelings of anxiety spring up in your day, try a breathing technique, such as box breathing. Concentrating on and controlling your breathing is a scientifically-backed way of making you feel calm. Box breathing is quick, easy and can be done anywhere. Breathe in deeply, through your nose, for a count of 4 Hold your breath for 4 Breathe out completely, through your mouth, for a count of 4 And hold your empty breath for 4 Then repeat 4 times Getting ready for bed Good quality sleep makes a big difference to how you feel. But feeling worried or anxious can make getting to sleep difficult. You could set a coronavirus news curfew, so you don’t watch or read anything to do with the outbreak after 7pm and aim for a regular bedtime.

You might also find it helpful to: avoid caffeine before bed, Not eat or drink too much late in the evening Have a warm bath and keep screens out of your bedroom. If getting to sleep is proving tricky, you can try ‘the body scan’. This simple exercise helps you to relax both your mind and body, and with practice - you might find that it even sends you off to sleep. Whilst you’re lying in bed or resting, take your attention to your feet. Relax and soften them into the bed as much as possible. Then scan up your body, moving to your ankles. Release any tension and soften them into the bed. Once they feel relaxed, move up further to your calves, then knees, thighs and so on. Keep moving slowly up your body, all the way to your head, softening and relaxing every muscle along the way. We hope these simple daily steps will help.

Right now some of you may be sitting at home in self-quarantine, not only because of a lockdown but because you have tested positive for Covid-19. The reason they are still at home is likely because they are suffering from either mild symptoms, like most of the victims of the flu, or they have no symptoms at all. Other victims, unfortunately, are hooked-up to ventilator machines in hospitals. But since we are all potential victims of this virus, you might want to know if there are any long term health impacts, either from mild case or a serious case. We don’t yet have the exact numbers, but current reporting suggests the vast majority of deaths from the virus have been with people who were suffering from another illness. For instance, on March 18, Italy’s national health authority said 99 percent of deaths happened to people who were already ill from some other disease or underlying health problems. That doesn’t mean all people with underlying health problems will die, far from it. As we write this, the one-time business-minded gangster from “The Wire”, one Idris Elba, is at home having tested positive for the virus.

He has said in videos that he has no symptoms, but he also said he has had asthma all his life. The question is, if you already have an underlying health problem, will it get worse after contracting the virus? And what about those who had no health issues in the past? First, it’s not only older people that die from the virus. As we write this, the Centers for disease control and Prevention is saying that in the U.S. alone, one in five people that have been affected in the USA are aged between 20 and 44 and in the UK, health officials have said,“There are some young people who have ended up in intensive care.” From that information,

We can be sure that a lot of healthy young people have gotten the virus so far, and when we are talking about long-term health impacts, we will mostly be focused on those younger cases. Ok, so say you are a young-ish person between20 and 44 with no underlying health problems. When you get the virus, officially named Sars-CoV-2,it will invade your body and infect your cells. As we write this, eight out of ten people are reported to only have mild symptoms. This could include a fever and a cough, and maybe some aching in the body. Affected people will probably feel weak and drained, but that’s because the body is trying to eject the infected cells. People’s immune systems will start to kick in, and chemicals called cytokines will be released. These in short are signaling molecules that are trying to regulate your immunity. In layman's terms, they are kicking ass, but that will make some people feel they have no energy and cause the body aches. Others may have diarrhea or shortness of breath or even a loss of smell and taste. In short, many people’s immune systems fight off the virus very well and some will have no symptoms at all. That doesn’t mean you should go out and rejoice though since even if you aren’t showing any symptoms you could still spread it to other people who might develop worse symptoms. As for how asymptomatic people can spread the disease, well, as we write this we still don’t know how many “silent carriers”are spreading the disease. The World Health Organization has said transmission from asymptomatic patients is rare, but other studies differ on that analysis. As you well know, it’s all the contradictory news reports that makes this pandemic all the more annoying, confusing, and stressful.

We’ll be coming back to the topic of stress again soon too. So, let’s say you are one of those few people who have severe breathing difficulties and end up needing a ventilator to breathe. You might have something called acute respiratory distress syndrome, aka ARDS. Some people will recover from this, but for others their long term quality of life will be affected negatively. They might suffer lung damage that means they will be returning to hospital time and again, while others might suffer from muscle weakness. That’s unfortunately on the good end ofthe spectrum for ARDS, since in many cases it leads to organ failure and death. Even if people who have a very severe case of this infection don’t get ARDS, they may be unfortunate enough to have other organs damaged, but this can happen with any severe infection. We can look at severe acute respiratory syndrome(SARS), which was also caused by a coronavirus to try and get an idea of what the current outbreak will be like. Most patients made a full recovery, but some people did have long-term health effects such as chronic shortness of breath or coughing, while others suffered from kidney disease. Though it only occurred in a small percentage of those infected, health experts warn that when you have any kind of lung infection that makes breathing hard, kidney damage can happen. Now back to the cytokines we mentioned earlier. There is something called a “cytokine storm”, which is kind of an overreaction of your immune system. The body might produce a massive inflammatory response, and this can also result in organ damage. Since some people with SARS had long-term health problems from this overactive immune response, some doctors worry it could be the same with Sars-CoV-2. It’s too early to tell for sure though. It was the same with the Middle East respiratory syndrome, aka, MERS.

Most people with mild symptoms generally made a full recovery, but people who had severe cases ended up back in hospital time and again since the damage had been caused to various organs. We should say again that these long-term health problems might only affect people with pre-existing conditions or people who come down with a very severe case of this new infection. We don’t want to stress you, in fact, we want you to feel positive. The reason is, as we speak there are reports stating that many people are suffering from anxiety and depression because of the worry that they might contract COVID-19. But studies have shown that anxiety and depression can actually weaken your immune system and so you can become more susceptible to other diseases. If you do contact COVID-19, you will likely be fine, and recover, and have no serious health problems after recovery. But if you really want to stay healthy then follow the guidelines issued by all major health agencies: avoid large social gatherings, socially distance when in public, wash your hands regularly with soap and water, and avoid touching your face. We’d like to take your mind off the virus for now, and we think you should watch this amusing and informative text.

What may happens If you get Corona Virus?

This is SARS CoV-2. It belongs to the family of coronaviruses, named for crownlike spikes on their surfaces. SARS CoV-2 can cause COVID-19, a contagious viral infection that attacks primarily your throat and lungs. What actually happens in your body when you contract the coronavirus? What exactly causes your body to develop pneumonia? And how would a vaccine work? The coronavirus must infect living cells in order to reproduce. Let's have a closer look. Inside the virus, genetic material contains the information to make more copies of itself. A protein shell provides a hard protective enclosure for the genetic material as the virus travels between the people it infects. An outer envelope allows the virus to infect cells by merging with the cell's outer membrane. Projecting from the envelope are spikes of protein molecules. Both a typical influenza virus and the new coronavirus use their spikes like a key to get inside a cell in your body, where it takes over its internal machinery, repurposing it to build the components of new viruses. When an infected person talks, coughs or sneezes, droplets carrying the virus may land in your mouth or nose and then move into your lungs. Once inside your body, the virus comes into contact with cells in your throat, nose or lungs.

One spike on the virus inserts into a receptor molecule on your healthy cell membrane like a key in a lock. This action allows the virus to get inside your cell. A typical flu virus would travel inside a sack made from your cell membrane to your cell’s nucleus that where your cell houses all its genetic material. The coronavirus, on the other hand, doesn’t need to enter the host cell nucleus. It can directly access parts of the host cell, called Ribosomes. Ribosomes use genetic information from the virus to make viral proteins, such as the spikes on the virus’s surface. A packaging structure in your cell then carries the spikes in vesicles, which merge with your cell's outer layer, the cell membrane. All the parts needed to create a new virus gather just beneath your cell's membrane. Then a new virus begins to butt off from the cell's membrane. For this, we’ll have to look into your lungs. Each lung has separate sections, called lobes. Normally, as you breathe, air moves freely through your trachea, or windpipe, then through large tubes, called bronchi, through smaller tubes, called bronchioles, and finally into tiny sacs, called alveoli. Your airways and alveoli are flexible and springy. When you breathe in, each air sac inflates like a small balloon. And when you exhale, the sacs deflate. Small blood vessels, called capillaries, surround your alveoli. Oxygen from the air you breathe passes into your capillaries, then carbon dioxide from your body passes out of your capillaries into your alveoli so that your lungs can get rid of it when you exhale.

Your airways catch most germs in the mucus that lines your trachea, bronchi, and bronchioles. In a healthy body, hair-like cilia lining the tubes constantly push the mucus and germs out of your airways, where you may expel them by coughing. Normally, cells of your immune system attack viruses and germs that make it past your mucus and cilia and enter your alveoli. However, if your immune system is weakened like in the case of coronavirus infection, the virus can overwhelm your immune cells and your bronchioles and alveoli become inflamed your immune system attacks the multiplying viruses. The inflammation can cause your alveoli to fill with fluid, making it difficult for your body to get the oxygen it needs. You could develop lobar pneumonia, where one lobe of your lungs is affected, or you could have bronchopneumonia that affects many areas of both lungs. Pneumonia may cause... difficulty breathing chest pain coughing fever and chills confusion headache muscle pain and fatigue. It can also lead to more serious complications: respiratory failure occurs when your breathing becomes so difficult that you need a machine called a ventilator to help you breathe. These are the machines that save lives and medical device companies currently ramp up production for. Whether you would develop these symptoms depends on a lot of factors, such as your age and whether you already have an existing condition.

While all this all sounds scary, the push to develop a coronavirus vaccine is moving at high speed. Studies of other coronaviruses lead most researchers to assume that people who have recovered from a SARS-CoV-2 infection could be protected from reinfection for a period of time. But that assumption needs to be backed by empirical evidence and some studies suggest otherwise. There are several different approaches for a potential vaccine against the coronavirus. The basic idea is that you would get a shot that contains faint versions of the virus. The vaccine would expose your body to the virus that is too weak to cause infection but just strong enough to stimulate an immune response. Within a few weeks, cells in your immune system would make markers called antibodies, which would be specific for only the coronavirus or specifically its spike protein. Antibodies then attach to the virus and prevent it from attaching to your cells. Your immune system then responds to signals from the antibodies by consuming and destroying the clumps of viruses. If you then catch the real virus at a later stage, your body would recognize and destroy it.

In other words, your immune system is now primed. Collecting evidence on whether this will be possible, safe and effective is part of what’s taking researchers so long to develop a vaccine. It is a race against time to develop a vaccine amid a pandemic. Each step in vaccine development usually takes months if not years. An Ebola vaccine broke records by being ready in five years. The hope here is to develop one for the new coronavirus in a record-breaking 12 to 18 months. While all this will take time, stay home if you can to protect the most vulnerable and don’t forget to wash your hands for at least 20 seconds and as often as possible.

iphone SE (2020), Should you Buy it?

Hey guys, this week, Apple silently announced the iPhone SE 2020. but this one particularly piqued my interest because a) it’s a very affordable, quote-unquote, very affordable iPhone at 399 or167 thousand Naira. Which it might be more when it eventually comes to Nigeria and b) I’ve reviewed the iPhone 11 which is a very dope smartphone must admit, that also sort of shocked people that an iPhone could be that low in price which started at $699 or 290,000 Naira. So this video is me just going off of my knowledge of that and let’s see what is Apple really doing here. Also, guys, shout to WesternDigital again, I’ll be giving one more storage device to you guys, when you give this video a thumbs up, comment below which one you want and of course watch till the end for more details. I already announced the first winner ina previous video so this winner will be announced a week from now. So make sure you subscribe to be the first to know when we drop a new video. Without further ado, let’s get to it. If you remember correctly the iPhone SE, the original iPhone SE, the OG was announced 3 years after the iPhone 5s.

The iPhone 5s was announced in September 2013and then the SE was announced in March 2016. 3 years and they both look exactly the same, same build quality, same display all of that + it had the same processor as the latest flagship at that time, the iPhone 6s, the A9 chip. This time around the iPhone 8 was announced in September of 2017, right? And now 3 years later, we’ve got the iPhone SE 2020 in April of 2020 and of course, same exact build as the iPhone 8, same display as the iPhone 8, only that it’s got the processor of the iPhone 11 Pro. Which is, of course you guessed it, the most recent processor that iPhone makes, the A13 Bionic chip. So on the Apple website, it says iPhone 11Pro called, it wants its chip back.. I thought that was dope. So why is this iPhone SE even necessary and should anyone even buy this, like what’s the catch for Apple to want to make an iPhone 399 or 167thousand Naira all of a sudden. Well, first of all, it’s not all of a sudden. Speculation has been since, practically for the longest time that there will be an iPhone 9 or a budget iPhone. Second of all, it’s in line with what has worked for Apple and it’s Apple, people are going to buy new iPhones anyway and this is a very very affordable way of entering the Apple ecosystem or you know, having an iPhone.

Ah em. This is the first time you can buy an iPhone brand new, the SE 2020 now which is 399, add AirPods 2 with the wireless charging case to that and an Apple Watch Series 3 and for $757 or 314 thousand Naira, you already have a better set up for your Apple Mobile ecosystem instead of just using that $757 adding a little more money to buy just 1 iPhone 11 which is almost the same quality internally as this new phone but with better cameras and you don’t have any of the accessories. Do you see what I mean? Plus, if you get a new iPhone now, you get free Apple TV+ for a year, and access some great shows that aren’t on Netflix. I think it sounds reasonable. Also, totally random but not really umm, the iPhone SE 2020 is priced at #419 pounds in the UK, * confused * 419 Okay okay okay, That is all well and good but it’s not the most innovative smartphone right now.

I mean, as we’ve established it’s pretty much the iPhone 11 in the body of an iPhone 8. So what about the technicalities and specs on this guy. What’s inside? Firstly, in the box of the new iPhone SE, it’s the very regular things you get normally, the iPhone, EarPods, Lightning to USB Cable and the old 5W power adapter. Nothing else, no fast charger nothing of the sort so, yeah. The display quality on this iPhone 8, sorry, iPhone 2020, is the very same as the iPhone 8. Retina IPS LCD, 4.7 inches, 750 x 1334 pixels,625 nits of brightness, exactly the iPhone 8. The same goes for the body of the device, same as the iPhone 8 in size, weight, and dimensions. However, the colors this comes with are black, white and red, no rose gold like the iPhone 8 and they have black fronts this time, unlike having white in front of the iPhone 8, which I very much prefer the black. Because when you’re watching movies or something, say at night, the black sort of fades while the white is all up in your face, and it doesn’t really hide that it’s a huge bezel on this phone. Speaking of Bezel, we are now back to 2017with Touch ID, yes, we have a fingerprint reader in front and I somehow feel like the iPhone SE 2020 is for people who may want to upgrade from an older iPhone say 7 or 8and trust me, there are still a lot of people that like small phones and are fans of TouchID.

If or when I do get my hands on this guy,I will have some DejaVu moments because.. I know I’m saying it too much but its almost just an iPhone 11 or 11 Pro inside the iPhone 8’s body. The good thing, or the thing I will commendable about in this device is adding the A13 bionic chip, the 7nm+ chipset that came on the iPhone 11 Pro on here. With AR capabilities, their newest GPU capabilities basically so yes, that’s something worthy of note, this phone will be fast, I just wish it was maybe an OLED but for 399, that’s a bit of a stretch, especially for Apple. Because of the A13 Bionic chip, you get Portrait mode with adjustable blur, this came on the iPhone XS if I rememberer correctly which is a pretty nifty feature. It’s called Depth Control, plus PortraitLighting, with the modes which we didn’t see on the iPhone 8, and the camera shoots4K but I’m not sure if the Optical Image stabilization feature that this has worksin 4K but it has Optical Image Stabilization.

There’s also a QuickTake feature which lets you record a video when you press and hold on to the Camera button, right now, pressing and holding takes multiple shots. I think this feature may come with an update but we can’t be too sure. Battery life on the new iPhone SE 2020 is only 1,821 mAh exactly just like the iPhone 8 and it’s capable of 18W Fast charging which the iPhone 8 isn’t. The mAh are so small but hey it’s supposed to optimized to Apple’s iPhone. This phone is also rated for video viewing to 13 hours and as advertised it can be charged from 0 - 50% in 30 minutes with the18W charger that is not included in the box. Classic Apple move. It’s water-resistant up to 1 meter for 30minutes, IP67 just like the iPhone 8 as well. The expected release date for the iPhone SE2020 is the 24th of April and we’re expecting to see how this goes down, but what are your thoughts on this iPhone. In this article, going to share 10daily habits that have changed my life in many different ways. If you'reinterested keep reading. Hello hello. This article is from Ria and She is a holistic nutritionist with a food engineering background. For today's article, we're going to talk about 10 daily habits that have made a really big difference to my life in different areas such as physical health, emotional health, and brain health. Before we dive in I wanted to say a few things so you know the context. The first thing is these daily habits have been the result of gradual habit-forming over the last five years- it's not something that happened overnight. It is difficult to form habits and it does take time. The second thing - although these habits are daily habits I don't put pressure on myself to do them every day especially when things get too busy or things are too overwhelming. Sometimes things slide a little and that's okay.

When you' remaking lifestyle changes it's not about perfection it's about doing what you can and generally, I do try to do these habits at least three to five times a week IN the times that I'm really stressed out because I feel that they do help me stay on track and they do help reduce stress. Anyway enough with the introduction let's get into the habits. The first daily habit is that I drink a glass of water as soon as I get up. Well not as soon as I get up -I brush my teeth,I go to the bathroom and then I have a glass of water. I find that this has made a big difference in energy levels in the morning. When we're sleeping we're not taking it any water and when we wake up we can be mildly dehydrated and when we're dehydrated our fatigue levels go up. There is some science behind this -I'll put it in the description box. So a good thing to do is start your morning by getting enough hydration. I drink a glass of filtered water. If I feel like it, I'll add some lemon to it I don't always do that and it's usually at room temperature but if you like warm water that can work too. It really is about personal preference but drinking some water in the morning is a great thing to do for your energy levels. Number two I meditate for 10 minutes every day.I used to be very skeptical about meditation when I first started. I didn't really believe in it I didn't think that there was science behind it but there is actually quite a bit of science. It can do things like reducing anxiety, it can help you improve your immune function, it can help reduce pain. There's a lot that it can do I have a few links in the description box but for me the biggest change is mental clarity and I feel much calmer. I am not naturally a calm person, but I am not naturally a calm person. Meditation - years of meditation has gotten me to this point and I really do think that there are a lot of benefits to trying it out.

Now if you're a beginner, meditation can seem very daunting and I have two tips to provide. So the first one is try to just be very open about meditation in the beginning. The first 10 to 15 sessions for me were very difficult. I didn't know what I was doing and I felt overwhelmed and I felt like I was doing it the wrong way. It wasn't until the 15th or 16th session that I really got into it and I started to see the benefit. So give it time. The second thing is if you are starting out try guided meditation versus meditation where you're just doing it on your own. Guided meditation can really help you stay on track and can really guide you through the process. I use an app called Calm - I highly recommend it. I love it. There is also another app called Headspace which you could try out. Number three I go for a brisk walk outdoors every day. Now I have to say that I live in Canada so a brisk walk outdoors every day does not happen year-round! It doesn't happen in the winter but for the rest of the year, I do try to get outside because I find it's such a mood booster to get some fresh air.. to get some sunlight and to be out in the greenery and there are studies that show that exposure to greenery is good for your health. As usual, everything's in the description box. Now for me, the brisk walk is not just a mood booster - its also the way I get exercise. I am NOT a gym person I have never been in gym person I just don't enjoy it who knows who the people who enjoy the gym I would love to do that but I just can't I don't like it so for me getting exercise hasto be something that's part of my lifestyle and I love going up the walk so I started to make my walks my exercise now the World HealthOrganization recommends that we get about 150 minutes of moderate cardiovascular activity week or 75 minutes of cardiovascular activity walk can count if your heart rate is high enough so when

I'm walking I testmy heart rate I have an app on my phone samsung health is the app that I use andmy heart rates usually between the moderate and thicker zone so my walkactually counts as a workout it counts as water and activity so that's how Iget my 150 minutes of exercise per week through my walk number four in additionto the walk ayuh exercise so the walk is great for cardiovascular activity ifyou're doing a brisk walk or if they're jogging or running but a well-roundedexercise regimen should include more than just cardio I like to include someweight training and yoga but I specifically wanted to talk about weedsthere's a lot of women shy away from it especially because they think they'regoing to look a certain way if they train with weights the World HealthOrganization recommends at the average adult do at least two sessions a weekwhy is it so important as we age we tend to lose muscle mass it's a normal partof Aging another normal part of aging is losing bone density it happens but wecan slow that process down with one thing and that one thing is weighttraining so it doesn't matter what age you are it could be in your 20s or 30sit's never too early to start preserving your muscle mass and preserving yourbone density if you're a beginner you should always speak to a professionallearn the proper moves you could do body weights or free weights but always speakto someone who knows what they're doing so you don't get injured and theneventually when you know what you're doing you could always work at a homethat's what I do I am NOT a gym person.

As I mentioned earlier so I don't go tothe gym but I will use free weights and bodyweight exercises at home if you'reinterested in the exercise channels that I follow I have them in the descriptionbox below number five I try to eat something green every day it's ratherembarrassing but I will admit that even as a nutritionist I find it hard to eatgreens I did not grow up eating greens so it's a very foreign concept for mebut I do understand that they are very nutrient dense and it's a good idea toget some greens on a daily basis especially a variety of greens you aregetting a variety of vitamins and minerals if we're interested in nutrientdensity score that I have one link in the description box below now if you'rebeginner the easiest way to add greens to your diet really is smoothies I findthat that was the best gateway for me to get into the habit of eating greens ifyou're interested in how to make green smoothies taste better I do have a videoon it which I will link in the description box below number six I eatat least two to three servings of brightly colored fruits and veggiesevery day this is my bare minimum two to three I usually try to eat more why isit important to eat brightly colored fruits and veggies well you may haveheard of the term eat the rainbow eat the rainbow basically suggests eatingfruits and veggies from different colors but different colors mean they havedifferent phytochemicals which mean they have different health properties somephytochemicals can help with cancer prevention some can help with liver somecan help with metabolism there's different reasons to have thosephytochemicals and it's a good idea to get a variety so I do try to cut atleast two to three servings of fruits and veggies from those different groupsif you're interested in learning more about eating the rainbow.

I have a linkin the description box below number seven I listen to relaxing music everyevening as a way to wind down so music has many different health benefits thescience is still emerging but what I found very interesting is that naturesounds and relaxing music can help reduce stress it can help reduce thestress hormone called cortisol if you're interested for the science is in thedescription box so I do try to listen to something that's very relaxing flutesmaybe some nature sounds rustling with leaves things like that a waterfallthose are all really nice to listen to at the end of the day as a way to winddown and just relax number eight I try to read or learn something new every dayand I love to do this because it's something that I truly enjoy but thereare other benefits to it especially when it comes to brain health so as we agethere is that natural decline in our memories it happens but mental stimulation can slow down that decline so for me it's reading I willlike to learn new things for you it could be whatever works for you ifyou're a reading person read a book fiction and nonfiction both have theirbenefits if you're not into reading learning a new language on an app suchas duolingo could work or you could watch something every day like shortsnippets on Ted Ed to learn something new it's all about keeping your brainengaged and stimulated number-9 I try to spend quality time with loved ones everyday and I want to underline the word quality time because a lot of us end upspending time with our loved ones but we're on our phones and we're notproperly engaged with them they're not really talking to them it's not goodcommunication and this happens to everybody it's just the digital age thatwe live in I used to scroll on my phone next my husband .

I felt like I wasspending time with him but that wasn't really spending time so now no phonesproperly talked to him I spent time with my cats - I find that cuddling a pet ora human - can help you release oxytocin which is known as the cuddle hormone orthe love hormone and it can help reduce stress number 10 I avoid phones in theone hour before bed so I used to be on my phone right before bed and I found itvery difficult to fall asleep because my brain was all over the place it was verymentally stimulated and phones also emit something known as blue light and thatblue light is something that your brain thinks is they like so when you're onyour phone and that blue light is going to your brain your brain thinks it's nottime to sleep so it won't produce melatonin very well and it becomesharder to sleep I actually have talked about this in another video on sleepwhich I will link in the description box below but what I tried to do is Iswitched my phone off an hour or an hour and a half before bed like flight modeso I don't look at any notifications I don't look at anything and that way I'mactually able to sleep better I hope you find this video useful and you enjoyedit if you liked it give it a thumbs up and don't forget to subscribe because Icreate videos like this every week and before you go let me know in the commentbox below what is the one habit that has changed your life I will see you in thenext video bye

Hey guys.this is Siobhan, a 3rd-year medical resident. You've probably heard lots of bits of information about coronavirus. Some of it's true, but some of it is so misleading. So in this video, we're gonna go through a summary sticking with the facts about what you need to know about Covid-19. Corona virus is a whole family of viruses that have little spikes on the surface that look like a crown, which is how it got its name. You've probably heard of other types of corona virus. There was the SARS corona virus and the outbreak was in 2002. There was the MERS corona virus, with an outbreak in 2012. And there are actually a lot of other types of corona virus, but they don't have special names and they just cause the common cold. The virus we're dealing with is called SARS-COV-2 and the disease that it causes is corona virus disease 2019. Or COVID-19 for short. Bats are actually a natural reservoir for many viruses, so the virus can actually replicate inside the bat without making it sick and then the bat passes it on to other animals and then finally that gets passed on to humans. And that is what happened in Wuhan, China. After the first person was infected, the virus got passed from person to person to person by people coughing and sneezing. Did you know that in just one cough it can spray 3000 droplets that can go all over the place. If you get smacked in the face by someone's cough, you can get a direct transmission of the virus. But if it lands in the air, the virus can land on a particle and stay floating there for up to 3 hours. If it goes on to a box, a cardboard box, it can last there for about 24 hours. And then if it goes on to plastic, it can be there for 2 to 3 days. So let's say you get in touch with the virus and then you rub your face and then you get infected.

What happens next? When the virus enters the body, it uses those proteins on its surface, the ones that look like a crown, to get into our cells. Those proteins are like a key that unlocks receptors on the outside of the cell. We believe that it's specifically the ACE 2-receptor on our lungs that corona virus is using to get inside our cells. Once the virus is inside, it then releases RNA, its genetic material, and it tricks your cells into making copies of the virus. So your cells actually become like a factory producing thousands of viruses without even realizing it. So at the beginning when the virus is replicating, you don't actually have any symptoms yet. And this is called the incubation period. It's different for lots of different viruses, but in the case of SARS-COV-2 we think that the incubation period is 4 days. 4 Days where you've been infected and you don't have symptoms yet. As the virus was spreading, doctors in China started seeing more and more pneumonia and one doctor in particular, Dr. Lee wen Liang, became concerned when he saw 7 viral illnesses that reminded him of the SARS outbreak in 2002. He immediately started telling his colleagues that he was concerned, but 4 days later the authorities told him to stop spreading false comments. But the number of cases continued to grow and on January 9th China Central Television officially announced that there was a new corona virus. At this point there were at least 50 people with pneumonia and the first fatality, a 61-year old man passed away. To complicate things Wuhan was a major hub for travel in China and it was less than 2 weeks away from Chinese New Year's, when there's lots of travel and this huge celebration. By January 23rd Wuhan was officially in quarantine.

Nobody in or out of the city at all. But unfortunately 20 people had already passed away from the virus. It seemed like every day we were hearing about new cases of SARS-COV-2 in different countries. It was sweeping the world and the World Health Organization labeled this outbreak a pandemic. So what kind of symptoms are people actually presenting with? So we're lucky that we've got information coming out of China to know what to prepare for and what to expect. So the most common symptoms are fever, sore throat, cough, some shortness of breath. And we look at fever... People who are coming into the hospital, only about 43% of them had a fever. When they were in the hospital about 88% of them developed a fever. So what that tells me is that if you don't have a fever, it doesn't guarantee that you don't have corona virus. Less common symptoms are nausea, vomiting, diarrhea in about 3-5% of people. So that's what you need to watch out for: Fever, cough, shortness of breath. And I know what you're gonna say: ''But that sounds like the flu, that sounds like a cold!'' And you're absolutely right and that's what makes this so tricky. So if you do get mild symptoms: Cough, fever, sore throat... What you should do is actually stay at home, don't panic and pick up the phone and call your health care provider, rather than going and sitting in waiting rooms and public transportation and spreading that virus everywhere. If you are quarantining yourself at home while you're sick but you live with other people, try to have like a sick room. And in that room you try to stay there most of the time, you have your own dishes and utensils, try to use your own bathroom if you have that option. Just to prevent the other people in your house from getting sick.

And the most important thing is to really be monitoring your own symptoms and seeing if anything is getting worse. So seeing if you're getting really short of breath, if you're getting chest pain that's not going away or if you find you're getting really high fevers, you're getting confused or even having a blue-tinged lip. All of that would be signs that things are becoming quite severe and you should be going to the emergency department. Okay, I just want to say this one more time. For most of us if we get Covid-19 we're going to be okay. Don't panic, most of us can recover at home. We never need to even see a doctor or go to a hospital and you'll be just fine. We just have to watch out for those severe symptoms. But unfortunately some patients do become critically ill, so let's talk about that. What's happening? What they develop is something called acute respiratory distress syndrome or ARDS. And this is a condition where the lungs develop so much inflammation and damage, that it becomes difficult to get oxygen out of the air through the lungs and into the red blood cells. There are actually lots of things that cause ARDS, things like sepsis or pneumonia, even pancreatitis. So in the ICU, we're actually really familiar with how to treat these patients. What you do is they often require intubation.

So a tube down the throat, lots of oxygen. Sometimes you need to paralyze and sedate a patient, even flip them over onto their stomach so that you can expand the lungs without injuring them and get more oxygen into the back of the lungs. It's a really involved process as you can imagine and if that all doesn't work, then you can consider using extracorporeal membrane oxygenation. ECMO, a bit of a mouthful. And it's like a machine that works like lungs outside the body. So the idea is blood gets pumped out of the body, the machine puts oxygen into it and then the blood comes back into the body. It's actually really similar to a heart-lung bypass that they use in cardiac surgery. So who's at risk for catching Covid-19? Well, the answer is everyone.

It doesn't matter what age you are, you can catch corona virus. What we see is the people who are most severely affected are the elderly and those who have underlying health conditions like heart disease, lung disease, Immunosuppression, diabetes. Those people go on to get a worse version of the disease. So to put some real numbers on that, in China about 78% of cases were people aged 30 to 69 and of those people about 20% of them had severe illness. So it's definitely not just the elderly that are affected, but they are the ones who tend to have higher fatality rates. In the US we've seen that 8 out of 10 people that have passed away are over the age of 65 and in even higher proportion if you're over the age of 85. So personally I can't help but worry about my grandparents and a lot of the patients that I take care of are in that over 85 categories as well. Although we know who is at risk, we don't actually know who is going to become critically ill and need life support. So it's really important that we all do our part to stop the spread of this virus. So I'm sure that you've seen these diagrams all over social media right now. Everyone talking about flattening the curve. So the idea is that we want to slow the spread of the virus, but not everyone becomes sick at the same time. That way it doesn't overwhelm the hospital system, it gives us more time to come up with treatment and vaccinations. So here's an example. Let's just imagine that people got on their minds that they all needed to buy toilet paper all at once. So as you guys have probably seen, there's no more toilet paper.

You can't find it anywhere and some people are left with no toilet paper. It's a disaster! The same thing is true for hospital beds and ventilator machines. We just want to make sure that people use them up slowly. And that means there will be enough for everyone and that it's not all used up at once. But I still hear people saying like: ''You know, if we're all gonna get the virus, why don't we just let it happen?'' The whole answer is that this happened in the past. We've actually seen this play out in the Spanish flu in 1918. So if we look to history, we can see that Philadelphia took 2 weeks to actually put their social distancing plan in place. And we see this huge spike of deaths and fatalities that happened as opposed to St. Louis that put these measures in place right off the bat and you can see that they had this nice flat curve. That is what we're aiming for. That's why we're working so hard to get social distancing in place now. For this to work, for us to really save lives, we need to all be in this together and there are 2 main things that we need to do. Number 1 is washing your hands really well and frequently. So that means 20 seconds of washing your hands, a long time by the way. It's about happy birthday sung twice. Make sure you get your fingernails. Make sure you get between those fingers and the backs of your hands number 2 is social distancing. So there's been a lot of talk about this. This is 6 feet between you and anyone else or 2 meters, but it doesn't mean isolating yourself. So make sure that you're reaching out to friends, family.

We have this wonderful technology. You are not alone and don't let yourself get isolated. I know that it's a huge strain on families. I know that there's a lot of financial demand and I just want to say thank you because what everyone is sacrificing is at a community level really helping in saving lives and it's inspirational to hear these stories. Should you be wearing a mask when you go outside? The World Health Organisation says that if you are healthy and you have no symptoms, you don't need to be wearing a mask. It's only people who have symptoms: Cough, cold, fever. They should wear a mask or a healthcare provider who's looking after someone who has COVID should have a mask on as well. Personally, when I go outside, I'm not wearing a mask. I do wear a pair of thin gloves that I put on, so that if I'm touching doorknobs, then it doesn't get on my hands. And it reminds me not to touch my face as well because I'm pretty bad about that. And otherwise, I just come home and scrub my hands really well. So treatments. As of now there are no antivirals that have been proven to treat Covid-19. There are lots of other trials going on around the world and I'm really hopeful that we are going to come up with some great treatment options in the future.

What about a vaccine? Scientists are working tirelessly to come up with a new vaccine. And progress has been fast, because China early on was able to sequence the genes within the virus and they shared that with everyone internationally, so that we can come up with a vaccine quickly. From what I understand there's one in China and there's one in the US that are gonna be starting testing. But even with this fast progress, we're still looking at close to a year before they're gonna be able to distribute it to everyone. Okay? We have covered a lot of material. The most important thing at this point is each of us playing our parts: Washing our hands, keeping social distancing to stop the spread, slow it down and flatten that curve. So we don't overwhelm the healthcare system. I know this is such a difficult time.

There's so much uncertainty and things are changing so quickly. And yet every day I look around and I see remarkable things. I see students who are bringing elderly people groceries so that they don't need to leave the house. I have seen a local distillery that has stopped making gin and instead is making hand sanitizer that they're giving out for free. And I've seen countless health care workers who are picking up extra shifts to relieve their co-workers who are getting quarantined. So I know... I know in my heart that we can get through this together in the coming weeks. I'm gonna be bringing you into the hospital and showing you what it's like to be working in the hospital as a doctor during this pandemic. So don't forget to subscribe so that you get those videos too. Information is constantly changing, updates are happening on an hourly basis. So I'm gonna leave some links below to great websites that you can trust for accurate information. For now, let's each play our part: Wash your hands, stay home. I've written about global health and biosecurity for newspapers and web outlets, and I published a book a few years back about the major global health threats facing us as a planet. I have supported and led epidemiology efforts that range from evaluatingEbola treatment centers to looking at the transmission of tuberculosis in health facilities and doing avian influenza preparedness. I have a master's degree in International Health. I'm not a physician. I'm not a nurse. My specialty isn't patient care or taking care of individual people. My specialty is looking at populations and health systems - what happens when diseases move on a large level. If we're ranking sources of global-health expertise on a scale of 1 to 10 - 1 is some random person ranting on Facebook, and 10 is the World Health Organization - I'd say you can probably put me at like a 7 or an 8. So, keep that in mind as I talk to you. I'll start with the basics here because I think that's gotten lost in some of the media noise around COVID-19. So, COVID-19 is a coronavirus, and coronaviruses are a specific subset of the virus, and they have some unique characteristics as viruses.

They use RNA instead of DNA as their genetic material, and they've covered in spikes on the surface of the virus, and they use those spikes to invade cells. Those spikes are the coronation coronavirus. COVID-19 is known as a novel coronavirus because, until December, we'd only heard of six coronaviruses. COVID-19 is the seventh. It's new to us, it just had its gene sequencing, it just got its name - that's why it's novel. If you remember SARS -severe acute respiratory syndrome - or MERS - Middle East respiratory syndrome, those were coronaviruses, and they're both called respiratory syndromes because that's what coronaviruses do. They go for your lungs. Don't make you puke, they don't make you bleed from the eyeballs, they don't make you hemorrhage, they head for your lungs. COVID-19 is no different. It causes a range of respiratory symptoms that go from stuff like dry cough and a fever all the way out to fatal viral pneumonia. And that range of symptoms is one of the reasons it's actually been so hard to track this outbreak. Plenty of people get COVID-19, but so gently, their symptoms are so mild that they don't even goto a health care provider.

They don't register in the system. Children, in particular, have it very easy with COVID-19, which is something we should all be grateful for. Coronaviruses are zoonotic, which means that they transmit from animals to people. Some coronaviruses, like COVID-19, also transmit person to person. The person-to-person ones travel faster and travel farther, just like COVID-19. Zoonotic illnesses are really hard to get rid of because they have an animal reservoir. One example is avian influenza, where we can abolish in farmed animals, in turkeys, in ducks, but it keeps coming back every year because it's brought to us by wild birds. You don't hear a lot about it because avian influenza doesn't transmit person to person, but we have outbreaks in poultry farms every year all over the world. COVID-19 most likely skipped from animals into people at a wild animal market in Wuhan, China. Now for the less basic parts. This is not the last major outbreak we're ever going to see. There's going to be more outbreaks, and there's going to be more epidemics. That's not a maybe; that's a given. And it's a result of the way that we, as human beings, are interacting with our planet. Human choices are driving us into a position where we're going to see more outbreaks. Part of that is about climate change and the way a warming climate makes the world more hospitable to viruses and bacteria. But it's also about the way we're pushing into the last wild spaces on our planet. When we burn and plow the Amazon rain forest so that we can have cheap land for ranching when the last of the African bush gets converted into farms when wild animals in China are hunted to extinction, human beings come into contact with wildlife populations that they've never come into contact with before, and those populations have new kinds of diseases: bacteria, viruses - stuff we're not ready for. Bats, in particular, have a knack for hosting illnesses that can infect people.

But they're not the only animals that do it. So as long as we keep making our remote places less remote, the outbreaks are going to keep coming. We can't stop the outbreaks with quarantine or travel restrictions. That's everybody's first impulse: Let's stop the people from moving, let's stop this outbreak from happening. But the fact is it's really hard to geta good quarantine in place. It's really hard to set up travel restrictions. Even the countries that have made serious investments in public health, like the US and South Korea, can't get that kind of restriction in place fast enough to actually stop an outbreak instantly. There are logistical reasons for that, and there are medical reasons. If you look at COVID-19, right now, it seems like it could have a period where you're infected and show no symptoms that's as long as 24 days. So people are walking around with this virus showing no signs. They're not going to get quarantined. Nobody knows they need quarantining. There are also some real costs to quarantine and to travel restrictions. Humans are social animals, and they resist when you try to hold them into place and when you try to separate them. We saw in the Ebola outbreak that as soon as you puta quarantine in place, people start trying to evade it. Individual patients, if they know there's a strict quarantine protocol, may not go for health care because they're afraid of the medical system, or they can't afford care, and they don't want to be separated from their family and friends. Politicians, government officials, when they know they're going to get quarantined, if they talk about outbreaks and cases, may conceal real information for fear of triggering a quarantine protocol. And, of course, these kindsof evasions and dishonesty are exactly what makes it so difficult to track a disease outbreak. We can get better at quarantines and travel restrictions, and we should. But they're not our only option, and they're not our best option for dealing with these situations. The real way for the long haul to make outbreaks less serious is to build the global health system to support core health-care functions in every country in the world so that all countries, even poor ones, are able to rapidly identify and treat new infectious diseases as they emerge.

China's taken a lot of criticism for its response to COVID-19. But the fact is, What if COVID-19had emerged in Chad, which has 3.5 doctors for every 100,000 people? What if it had emerged in the Democratic Republic of Congo, which just released its last Ebola patient from treatment? The truth is countries like this don't have the resources to respond to an infectious disease, not to treat people and not to report on it fast enough to help the rest of the world. I led an evaluation of Ebola treatment centers in Sierra Leone. And the fact is that local doctors in Sierra Leone identified the Ebola crisis very quickly. First as a dangerous, contagious hemorrhagic virus, and then as Ebola itself. But having identified it, they didn't have the resources to respond. They didn't have enough doctorsor hospital beds, and they didn't have enough information about how to treat Ebola or how to implement infection control. Eleven doctors died in Sierra Leone of Ebola. The country only had 120when the crisis started. By way of contrast, Dallas Baylor Medical Center has more than 1,000 physicians on staff. These are the kinds of inequities that kill people. First, they kill the poor people when the outbreaks start, and then they kill people all over the world when the outbreaks spread. If we really want to slow down these outbreaks and minimize their impact, we need to make sure that every country in the world has the capacity to identify new diseases, treat them, and report about them so they can share information. COVID-19 is going to bea huge burden on health systems. I'm not going to talk about death rates in this talk because, frankly, nobody can agree on the COVID-19 death rates right now. But one number we can agree on is that about 20% of people infected with COVID-19 are going to need hospitalization. Our US medical system can just barely cope with that. But what's going to happen in Mexico? COVID-19 has also revealedsome real weaknesses in our global health supply chains. Just-in-time ordering LEAN systems are great when things are going well, but in a time of crisis, what it meansis we don't have any reserves. If a hospital or a country runs out of face masks or personal protective equipment, there's no big warehouse full of boxes that we can go to get more. You have to order more from the supplier, wait for them to produce it, and you have to wait for them to ship it, generally, from China. That's a time lag at a time when it's most important to move quickly. If we'd been perfectly prepared for COVID-19, China would have identified the outbreak faster. They would have been ready to providing care to infected people without having to build new buildings. They would have shared honest information with citizens so that we didn't see these crazy rumors spreading on social media in China. And they would have shared information with global health authorities so that they could start reporting to national health systems and getting ready for when the virus spread. National health systems would then have been able to stockpile the protective equipment they needed and train health care providers on treatment and infection control.

We'd have science-based protocols for what to do when things happen like cruise ships have infected patients. And we'd have real information going out to people everywhere, so we wouldn't see embarrassing, shameful incidents as xenophobia, like Asian-looking people getting attacked on the street in Philadelphia. But even with all that in place,we would still have outbreaks. The choices we're making about how we occupy this planet make that inevitable. As far as we have an expert consensus on COVID-19, it's this: here in the US and globally, it's going to get worse before it gets better. We're seeing cases of human transmission that aren't from returning travel, that is just happening in the community. And we're seeing people infected with COVID-19 when we don't even know where the infection came from. Those are signs of an outbreak that's getting worse, not an outbreak that's under control. It's depressing, but it's not surprising. Global health experts, when they talk about the scenario of new viruses, this is one of the scenarios that they look at. We all hoped we'd get off easy. But when experts talk about viral planning, this is the kind of situation and the way they expect the virus to move. I want to close herewith some personal advice. Wash your hands! Wash your hands a lot! I know you already wash your hands a lot because you're not disgusting. But wash your hands even more. Set up cues and routines in your life to get you to wash your hands. Wash your hands every time you enter and leave a building. Wash your hands when you go in and come out of a meeting. Get rituals there based around handwashing. Sanitize your phone. You touch that phone with your dirty, unwashed hands all the time. I know you take it into the bathroom with you. (Laughter) So, sanitize your phone and consider not using itas often in public. Maybe TikTok and Instagram could be home things only? Don't touch your face. Don't rub your eyes.

Don't bite your fingernails. Don't wipe your nose on the back of your hand. I mean, don't do that anyway because it's gross. (Laughter) Don't wear a face mask. Face masks are for sick people and health care providers. If you're sick, your face mask holds in all your coughing and sneezing and protects the people around you. And if you're a health care provider, your face mask is one tool in a set of tools called personal protective equipment, that you're trained to use so you can give patient care and not get sick yourself. If you're a regular, healthy person wearing a face mask, it's just making your face sweaty. (Laughter) Leave the face masks in stores for the doctors and the nurses and the sick people. If you think you have symptoms of COVID-19, stay home, call your doctor for advice. If you're diagnosed with COVID-19, remember, it's generally very mild. And if you're a smoker, right now is the best possible time to quit smoking. I mean, if you're a smoker, right now is always the best possible time to quit smoking. But if you're a smoker and you're worried about COVID-19, There's also a boring but useful set of options that we can use in response to outbreaks, things like improving health care, here and everywhere; investing in health infrastructure and disease surveillance so that we know when the new diseases come; building health systems all over the world; looking at strengthening our supply chains so they're ready for emergencies; and better education, so we're capable of talking about disease outbreaks and the mathematics of risk without just blind panic.

12 Tips for keeping your Heart Healthy

Did you know that in Australia, 57 000 people suffer a heart attack every year? That’s one heart attack every 10 minutes. You’ve probably heard that your genetics has a part to play in your heart attack risk. But it’s not all out of your control. Fortunately, there is a lot you can do to reduce your heart attack risk by following a healthy lifestyle. Today, I’m going share with you my top 4diet tips to help prevent heart attacks and boost heart health. Tip number 1: Omega 3 fatty acids Omega 3s are a type of fat that do have benefits when it comes to improving heart health. There is some debate in the medical community about exactly how much benefit there is from taking Omega 3. Early studies found that the risk of death from heart disease could be reduced by up to 36% by taking Omega 3s. But more recent studies like one released in March of 2018 suggested that the benefit could be much smaller, something like 7%. But here’s the thing – every percentage point counts when it comes to preventing heart disease. So how much do you need? And what about the different types of Omega3s?

Well, there are 3 main types of Omega 3 – EPA, DHA and ALA. Studies have found that the benefit from Omega3 tends to plateau after a certain point and this point is a total of 250mg of combined EPA and DHA. That’s equivalent to having 2 serves offish per week. If you’d rather take fish oil supplements, then 1 gram of fish oil per day is sufficient. If you don’t like fish or are vegetarian, then you’d be happy to know that there are Omega 3s in plants and that’s the ALA thatI referred to earlier. One thing to keep in the back of your mindis that the Omega 3 from plants, like ALA, are similar to the Omega 3s in fish but not exactly the same. It is assumed that plant based Omega 3s also have some benefits for heart health, but we can’t say for sure. The Australian Heart Foundation recommends1 gram of plant based ALA per day and that’s pretty easy to achieve. 30 grams of Walnuts contains 1.9 grams ofALA, 15 grams of Chia Seeds contains 2.7 grams and 1 tablespoon of Canola Oil contains 1.8grams. Tip Number 2: Reduce Trans Fats Not all fats are created equal. Even though Omega 3s can be protective, transfats can increase the risk of heart attacks.

Saturated fats were thought to be the enemy, but now we’ve found that trans fats are even worse. A study found that increasing our trans fat intake by just 2%, leads to a 93% increase in the risk of heart attacks. That’s almost double! The aim of a heart-friendly diet shouldn't to remove all fats from your diet. Fats are an important source of nutrition. A more balanced strategy is to increase fats like Omega 3s and unsaturated fats from nuts, legumes and plant oils, while decreasing saturated fats and especially trans fats But where do trans fats come from? And why do foods contain them? Trans fats are found in small amounts in nature, like in dairy or meat. But it is the industrial production of food that has led to an increase in the number of trans fats in our diet. Trans fats are found in some margarine, butter,deep-fried foods and commercially manufactured baked goods like biscuits, cakes and pastries. That’s a lot of yummy food. One important point is that even though regularconsumption of trans fats can be harmful, the occasional pastry isn’t going to killyou. It’s all about keeping it in perspective. So try to reduce your trans fats where youcan, but don’t be too upset with yourself if you have a slice of cake, especially ifit’s your birthday.

Tip number 3: Increase Fiber Fiber is a part of our foods that cant be be digested. In a large study, women with high fibre intake had 47% less risk of heart attacks compared to women with low fiber intake. One simple trick to increase your fiber intakeis to choose whole grains rather than refined ones. For example choosing brown rice or whole wheatbread, as compared to white rice or white bread. Tip number 4: Increase fruits and vegetables You knew this was coming! A large study of more than 120 000 people found that those with the highest intake of fruits and vegetables had a 20% lower risk of heart attacks compared to those with the lowest intake of fruits and vegetables. The interesting thing is that, even though our supermarkets are full of fruits and vegetables, we still find it difficult to include them in our diet. And that’s because the way we eat is changing globally. In Australia, the amount that we spend on eating out is increasing every year. What we eat is being determined less by what we choose to include in our diet, and more by what companies and restaurants feed us. So it’s more important now that ever beforeto be more aware of the quality of the foods that we’re eating because ultimately it’ sour health that gets affected by the food that we eat. Thanks for watching and I’ll see you in the next one.

What’s your favorite winter activity? Winter is a season of fluffy white snow, skiingand snowboarding, visiting family, and warm drinks by the fireplace. But it is also a season for frigid temperatures, cold harsh winds, dry air and a lack of sunlight. We also see a lot of people getting coldsand illnesses, and even moods seem to decline for some. Keeping fit during winter can be difficult-it’s hard to go on your morning jog outside and even a trip to the gym can seem like alaborious journey as you would have to shovel your way out of all that snow. So what can you do? Here are 8 tips to stay healthy this winter:1. Be exposed to light according to the Academy of Family Physicians that six out of every 100 Americans may suffer from seasonal affective disorder (SAD), a type of depression that's related to changes in seasons, SAD begins and ends at about the same times every year. SAD occurs when light reduces in winter. Based on Jeffrey Sumber’s research, to counter said it is recommended to have much exposure to vitamin D, exercise, and also light therapy. Light therapy are lamps and box lights custom-madeto treat people who are suffering from SAD. You can let you kids play outside in the snow-just 10-15 minutes is enough to be exposed to the sun, just, don’t let them be a couch potato all winter. 2. Wash your hands regular influenza virus peaks in the winter, and our immune systems can decline due to poor nutrition, fitness, and sunlight during this time as well. Thus, one of the best ways to avoid illness is frequent hand washing. It is scientifically proven that 80% of thegerms and bacteria are transmitted by our hands, and through developing a habit of washing your hands it could lessen the possibility of catching the flu. Germs are found in most common objects and areas that our we frequently touch, like doorknobs, countertops, faucet handles and even your children's toys. Bacteria and germs are obviously not visible to the naked eye, but they can live up to several months so they can actually spread to many different areas that you come into contact with daily.

According to Dr. Maritza Baez, M.D., a family physician in Buffalo, New York, we can prevent bacteria and viruses from coming into our body by washing our hands properly. Wash your hands with soap, then lather individually your fingers, your wrist up to your elbow, and don’t forget your fingernails. Have a habit of washing your hands before and after eating, after using the washroom and when you are preparing food. It is also helpful to keep a pocket-sized bottle of hand sanitizer with you during the day. 3. Drink plenty of water times like winter seasons, it is most important to keep our bodies hydrated. According to Dr. Isaac Eliaz, it is much better to eliminate carbonated drink and sweetened sports drinks because it can increase the level of glucose in your body in which can subdue your immune system and make you more prone to the flu and colds. If you are hitting the gym or have an extreme training regimen in the winter, it is advisable to use sugarless electrolyte tablets to add to your water if you want to give it an extra boost. The best way to keep hydrated is to drink water before you are thirsty. 4. Decrease your stress other factor increasing your chances of getting sick is stress - as it drains your energy and suppresses your immune system. A study led by Dr. Sheldon Cohen at Carnegie Mellon University in 2012 proved that people who are under extreme stress have a higher rate of getting colds and flu. It was found that stress decreases the effect of glucocorticoid receptors and in turn, this down-regulates the immune-inflammatory response. It is advisable to reduce your stress in the workplace and make sure to work reasonable hours.

Make some time to relax, have fun, and meditation and counseling can also help. 5. Maintain a healthy diet one of the best ways of achieving a healthy body is to have a proper, well-balanced diet with vegetables, fresh fruits and small amounts of meat. It is also recommended to eat more mushrooms, according to Jill Nussinow, a dietitian and author of The Veggie Queen. A study in 2009 at Tufts University found that after a 10-week diet of powdered white button mushrooms, certain immune cells inmice became more active, boosting protection against colds and viruses. 6. Supplements can be helpful to your health sometimes when it’s not enough to just maintain a healthy diet, we can do with a little boost. Different lifestyles require different supplements,so it is best to consult an expert on which supplements you can benefit the most from. Essential oils can also help to boost your immune system or just feel better in general. There different kinds of essential oils that you can try, for example, some are antibacterial, while others can help you relax, reduce stressor eliminate headaches. 7. Exercise regularly. Moderate physical exercise can make all the difference. A study in the American Journal of Medicine found that women who walked for 30 mins a day had HALF the amount of colds than those who didn’t exercise. Even if you don’t want to go outside orget a gym membership- there are many other ways to get your exercise - like following along with workout videos in the comfort of your own home! Lastly, number 8. Take care of your skin! It becomes more important than ever to take care of your skin during the winter. Exposure to harsh, cold air can dry out your skin immediately, leaving it flaking, cracked, or even inflamed and painful. Your skincare routine may also need to change along with the changing of the seasons - switching to an oil-based moisturizer which will create a protective layer on the skin that helps lock in more moisture. Protect your hands by wearing gloves when you go outside, and placing a few small humidifiers around your home or workspace will also keep your skin hydrated and looking healthy. So there you go! Making your body happy and healthy in the winter isn’t that hard, all you have to do is keep some of these things in mind!

Medical Technologies Advances in future

2019 shapes up to be the best year for digital health yet. From a global FDA, to A.I. in hospitals, let’ take a look at what we wish to see this year. Here are the major trends that we look forward to. National digital health strategies While technological development soars, healthcare systems around the globe struggle with unsustainability, and a shortage of medical professionals. Digital Health is the only viable way forwardand we would like to see more and more countries catching up. Denmark is already building a robust digital system for medical records and empowers e-patients with more focus on prevention. New Zealand’s strategy focuses on patients as the point-of-care. And a small African country, Rwanda, is building their healthcare system so wisely, that digital health startups are swarming the region, and the newest technological marvels are rolled out nation-wide almost instantly. Only six countries have some sort of digital health strategy, but we would like to see more and more governments to develop their own in the new year. Cross-border cooperation It’s going to be a slow process, but we hope to see the beginnings of borderless healthcare. Transnationalization can enable treatments outside the national healthcare systems. Just imagine a French patient sending a tissue of his tumor to a Belgian company specializing in precision diagnostics. They establish that a Swiss pharma company has the exact type of clinical trial that the patient could use, so he gets healed bythe joint efforts of numerous healthcare systems. It was unimaginable before. But with well-developed digital health tools,it can become a reality.

Discussions about a global FDA With cross-border cooperation comes the question of oversight. We already see the demand for a regulatory organization that goes beyond borders. Every day, there are more and more ethical and legal challenges, like gene editing in China and genetic big data in the West. The emergence of some sort of a global FDAseems inevitable. Medical chatbots aiding medical professionals 2019 could see the rise of health chatbots. Britain’s National Health Service already used a chatbot for a trial period to reduce the burden on its non-emergency helplines. Unfortunately, the first experiences were mixed. Patients didn’t trust the system and theywere able to play it to get an appointment with their doctor quicker. But as these bots develop, and patients embrace digital health, the bots will be able to take off the burden on medical professionals whenit comes to easily diagnosable health concerns or quickly solvable health management issues. Cars become the point of care When it comes to the future of healthcare, this is not something you would say from the top of your mind, but cars could be one ofour most valuable diagnostic devices. Mercedes already has cars that are able totell if a driver has become too tired to drive. And they’re aiming to arm their cars withmore and more health sensors. The seat belt, the steering wheel or practically anything the driver might touch, can be used as a biometric sensor to gain information. They could help detect a drop in blood sugaror even an impending heart attack.

We’d like to see more car manufacturers think this progressively. An FDA approved bio printed tissue The San Diego-based company, Organovo is focusing on the technology of 3D printing biomaterials. They have successfully bio-printed liver tissuesin 2014 and they seem to be years away from printing liver parts for transplantation. Based on their announcements we already expectedlast year that their first bioprinted products are expected to make it to the FDA in 2019,and we already saw a lot of regulatory discussions about 3D bioprinting - these will continue more intensively into the new year. A smart alarm revolution There are tons of wearables, sleep sensors and sleep apps out there. Even fitness trackers can follow your sleep. But the Holy Grail of health tracking is the smart sleep alarm. Since we sleep in cycles, we can feel completelygroggy or fully rested depending on where we are in the cycle at the time of wakingup. But Smart Alarm analyzes your sleep and wakesyou up at just the right time. A few days ago, I realized that the FitbitIonic has a smart sleep alarm feature, I tried it and it works wonders. I hope that the rest of the sleep trackermanufacturers will also pull it together, and in a few years, when we look back, wewon’t even understand how we could torture ourselves by waking up to a regular alarm clock. A.I. based algorithms and services approved by the FDA As wearables and innovative digital health technologies swarm our lives and our hospitals, we have access to more health data than ever. And with A.I. we have the ability to process them and gain insight that was unimaginable before. A.I. applications will help us with faster and more accurate medical diagnosis; and cheaper, more effective R&D.

IBM has already taken the first steps. Watson launched a special program for oncologists which is able to provide clinicians with evidence-based treatment options. Deep-learning and machine learning is ready to take healthcare by storm and we hope we’ll see a flock of approvals in the near future as A.I finally enters our lives. Big Tech in Big Pharma We’ve talked a lot about how Silicon Valley is looking into healthcare as their next big undertaking. Apple focuses on its consumer products to turn them into medical-monitoring devices. Amazon is building on its logistics and distribution savvy to sell prescription drugs and medical supplies online. Google, as a pioneer in AI research, is betting on the analysis of big data. And even Uber wants to replace ambulances. Healthcare is a 3 trillion dollar pie in theUS alone, and it’s ripe for disruption. These companies have clearly stated that they want a piece of that pie, and they have the ability to radically change healthcare for the better. Expect to hear more from them in the future. I hope you enjoyed this list about our expectations for 2019, and that you’re just as excited about them as we are. If you’d like to hear more about these topics, you can find my new Ebook on Leanpub.

Maybe we can start first by talking about health care and the digital transformation or the overall transformation that's taking place. You want to talk about your vision for how this industry in the landscape's going to change? I think we are on the edge of seeing just a complete transformation of health and healthcare as we go forward. I think the opportunities in front of us are just nothing short of going to be amazing. Because we are clearly evolving the health care system from a fix me a system to the question of what should we expect now going forward. I think as we now start to look at how do we integrate technology at this next level into the health care system, new possibility starts to come forward. The big one for us really how do we start to think about the holistic approach to a person's life? It's not just health care, it's a lifestyle, it's behavior, it's the whole ecosystem that makes up a person's day, that we'll be able with digital technology to bring all that together to really understand the whole person. >> That's fantastic. Not only are you thinking about the broad changes in the industry, but one of the other things that you're driving, again with some of the help with digital technologies,is the internal culture. You want to share a little bit about that? >> Well, you stop and think about it, if every single day our physicians, our nurses, our receptionist, our environmental services workers, they're with the members every single day. >> Right. >> They know more about the nuances of what can we continue to do to better the experience, better the relationship, better the trust, better the outcome. So now, with the kinds of digital platforms that we're looking at internally and working with internally, it opens up new channels of communication. >> Yeah, I know it's fantastic for us to be partnered with you around Office 365 as it's being used inside and things like Microsoft Teams, it's fascinating tosee when you empower the people inside the mission-driven organization with the right tools, how that can be a massive accelerant to the mission. >> When you get everyone using it, it speaks to it's the right thing that people are looking for and asking for. Everybody wants to use their time efficiently.

Having these kind of tools and connective tissues as we call it inside the organization where people are communicating and relating to each other and the outside world, it improves how people feel and how they are contributing and it definitely improves how we're providing care and coverage to millions of people around the country. >> I know you are oneof the leading voices talking about mental health, maybe you can sharea bit on your vision for how we can destigmatize the conversation around this, and then find the right set of solutions to what is something that is so importantto all of our lives. ; We are working hard on destigmatizing mental health, creating new paradigms for people to think about it and reach out forhelp when that is needed. Ultimately, our vision is that people would think of mental health the sameway we think about diabetes or cancer or you name it, heart disease. It's just recognized as a part of our body, and inside and outside ofKaiser Permanente, we talk a lot about reconnecting head to the body. That simply means to look at the whole person which also define as total health. Thank you so much Bernardfor sharing your thoughts and your leadership both at Kaiser Permanente but broadly in the industry, and also tackling some of the most pressing for our challenges for our society. Thank you so much.;

Tips to Lose Weight - An Ultimate Guide 2020

I've got to say, I have been really, really focused and dialed in for the last year. He's been training harder than I've ever seen. Honestly, I wish I knew what he was doing it for. Jessie. Do you want some of this? It's really good. I should have known. What's up, guys?. Finally, 364 days. I made it. I got my carrot cake. I have my cheat meal. Now today I'm going to show you how my cheat meal – my one cheat meal a year – is exactly what you're going to need in order to lose, not 5lbs of fat, but 50lbs of fat. But stick with me. Stick with me because it's going to be a lot more doable than you think. You see, that video that I did make about how to lose 5lbs of fat, you should have learned quickly that nutrition will dictate the bodyfat levels that you have, and carry, year-round. There's no secret exercise. There's no amount of reps that you do of that secret exercise that can overcome a bad diet. But beyond that, when you need to lose more than that, when you need to lose up to 50lbs of fat, what is it that you need to do? Well, let's start where you think I would start. That is, you've got to eat 5oz of broccoli in the morning, you have to eat maybe 10oz of asparagus for lunch, and you have to eat a little bit of iceberg lettuce for dinner. Guys, forget all that nonsense. That is not what you're looking for. That is not what you need to hear. I promise you, I'm going to give you exactly what you need to hear, and you have to believe me that it is the truth that you need to hear. No recommendation of how to eat like a rabbit– that's not what you're going to need to have in order to be successful because those, whatever I would tell you to eat, is going to be drastically different than one of my athletes I'm training. What they would eat in a day to keep them ripped and lean all year could make you fat. Their activity levels are different, their dimensions are different, the levels of muscularity are different. We have to give you a strategy, a real-world,real strategy, a no BS strategy that will work for you year-round. That's what I talk about here, on this channel. It's always been about, not just losing weight, being lean; it's about keeping it year-round. Guys, I could stand up here – just because I have a shirt on doesn't mean I can't show what I have 365 days a year. Everybody that uses our programs can do the same damned thing. They don’t just lose weight. They keep it off. They don’t just gain muscle.

They keep it. That's what I think is a huge difference behind what we do. That's what I will always preach to you. So what is that truth? What is the real thing you should be seeking? It's the fact that my cheat meal doesn't feel like a cheat meal because once you determine that you actually enjoy the way you're eating, then there's no such thing as a cheat meal. Think about it. the cheat meal mentality is derived from the fact that you're cheating away from the thing that you don’t like doing and most of us are stuck in some eating plan that we don’t like doing. The foods that we're eating at the moment are the things that we're compromising on, that we're depriving ourselves of, which makes the cheating stuff more appealing. So what I'm telling you is: stop doing that to yourself. Stop making yourself feel like you're craving the cheat meals because you hate the shit that you're eating on a daily basis. I never do that. I've never done that in my entire life. What I've identified, and what I want you to do is identify meals you actually like. Take meals, start at breakfast. Maybe it's bacon, egg, and cheese. Maybe it's a bowl of oatmeal with walnuts, and brown sugar, and whipped cream. Whatever it is that you like – actually like – and if you don’t know how to review them yourselves for the nutritional content– in other words, is it a nutritional meal? Is it nutritious? Is it worth a damn? Especially, does it align with your goals of building muscle and burning fat? If you don’t know how to do that ask a friend or ask somebody else that can do it, or look it up online. You're going to be able to find the information about whether that's a good meal, or not. Once you've identified that meal, and it'sa good one – because there's always going to be meals that you enjoy eating, I promise you that – don’t think that you're only meal option are boiled carrots and steamed broccoli, and chicken with no flavor. That is so gone. That mentality is so old. That is gone with the Arnold era. You don't have to do that to even be contest ready. Some guys would say "Oh, Jeff! You should compete." Not interested, believe me. But I do carry low enough body fat levels that I can allow myself to look a certain way, and I don’t deprive myself. Every, single night. Here's the truth: I eat frozen yogurt every night.

A bowl of frozen yogurt, probably about that big, with whipped cream on top. I eat carbs like they're going out of style. I eat pasta, I eat potatoes, I eat big portions of rice. I don’t really worry about how much I'm eating. I eat foods that I enjoy and when I do that– and when you do that – then all of a sudden this 'cheat' mentality doesn't exist. So what happens with the carrot cake? Is that my cheat meal? No, guys. It's what I choose to eat. When you stop looking at it as this dichotomy between bad stuff and good stuff, or things I don’t like, and things I want to have;then all of sudden it doesn't become anything other than "I just choose to have that." And I choose to have that on my birthday. Now, could I eat it – I could eat it every week. I promise you I could eat it every week and still look the same here. I just don’t choose to do that. I actually enjoy the other foods more. And I feel that the other foods align myself a little bit better with the goals I'm trying to achieve. You could do the same thing. but the point is this: the sooner you stop thinking "cheat meals", the sooner you start thinking "I'm going to choose to have this because I want to have it", and the sooner you identify things that you like, that youcan live on, then this is all going to be so damned easy. I promise you. As a matter of fact, when you do make these changes you're going to see these changes stick around for the long term. Not just for this little period of time. Not so I could go make a YouTube video, or cluster a bunch of YouTube videos together where I looked lean and then stop making them for a few months. None of that. I would be able to stand here, for you guys,as a leading example of how it's done, and that you can see that, too. Guess who else is actually doing it? I showed Jessie up here. He's not doing anything magical. I'm not reserving the tricks for him and keeping them away from you guys. He's doing the same damned thing. He's completely changed the way he eats. It's become a lifestyle for him. It's really, really simple. Now I'll leave you with one last note. If you are the guy who intends to continue to do what I'm telling you not to do, at least do this. I'm going to give you a tip, too. An actionable tip. If you're going to have this mentality of the 'cheat' stuff, or the good stuff versus the stuff that's the diet stuff that you're temporarily doing, at least do this: don’t pair two bad ones in a row. Start by doing that. Try to make a good choice, and then your bad choice. A good choice, and then a bad choice and evaluate what that does. If you have 50lbs of fat to lose it might get you down to 35lbs of fat to lose. Just that one change. Now, as you see that happening, you're getting encouraged by those results, now say "Well, what if I just string two good meals together, and then a bad one? And then two, and then a bad one? And then two?" And you drop back down.

All of a sudden you're down 25lbs of fat. Let that be the inspiration for you to start realizing that the more good choices you make – and I mean good choices that you like– then the more success is going to be in your future. And the long term success is going to be in your future, and that's what it's all about. Guys, if you're looking for a plan that lays it all out, the same thing – no secrets, nothing different, it's what I do, and its what all the guy son our program does, and it's how they get success and keep it off – we lay it all out for you meal by meal, day by day. By the way, I'll leave you with one other thing, too. I hear this all the time. "Jeff, intermittent fasting! That's the way to go!" Maybe it is. Maybe it is for you, but that doesn't change any of what I just said. All that's doing is changing the window in which you're eating, but it doesn't change how you look at food. Think about how you're eating in that period. Make the choices based on finding food that fuels you and that you enjoy, and stop thinking about "Oh, I'm going to cheat now." No. Don’t do that. Don’t do that to yourself. Change your mentality and you'll change the way you look, I promise you, year round. The ATHLEANX Factor Meal plan is in our ATHLEANXprograms. />

Hi everyone here is the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 from Samsung and comes in a coupled ifferent variants under the plus size now we're going to talk about price thedifferent specs the set up take a look at the hardware and also some of the software but if you want to see any one of those parts of the video and justjump around to them I've left the time codes in the description below so youcan take a look at it now this particular variant comes in two different types or two different sizes 256 gigabytes of storage for a thousand99 with 12 gigabytes of RAM in the plus model and then also a 512 gigabytevariant for 1199 and this one is actually the 256 gigabyte variant let'sgo ahead and open it up here it comes in four different colors or a glow or a white and I've already loosened this or a black and then this one or a blue solet's go ahead and well before we take a look at that looks like we've got somepaperwork underneath here let's take a look at this and then it looks likewe've got a sim card removal tool or ejector tool and that's everything inside here and it looks like we've got a quick reference guide just has someinformation about the phone probably and we'll take a closer look at thatourselves terms and conditions says it's packaged with a screen protector alreadyon the display which is nice and then get the most out of your phone so we'll set those aside and take a closer look at the phone itself let's go ahead andlift this out and we'll pull this off and see what we've got here so this isthe phone itself we'll take a closer look at that in just a moment let's seewhat else is in the box here this little pamphlet here and pull this out we'vegot a fast charger although this particular model can charge with up to a45 watt charger this one says super fast charging this one I think is a 25 wattcharger and this one will charge quite fast but not as fast as full speed seewhat we've got here I've got two little tabs here it looks like we've got someprobably for the s-pen and then also maybe an adapter it's an adapter fortransferring data from one phone to another and then inside here see if wecan get that out there we go and you can see here is well there's the little toolfor changing the tip on the s-pen so you've got the little a new tip for thes-pen and then also the tool for removing it so it's nice they'veincluded that again they do that every year let me set these aside let's seewhat else we've got here and it looks like we've got a USB cable and it'sUSB C 2 USB C it looks like so that's included and then we've got someheadphones here and these have USB C on them as well so the note 10 plus removesthe headphone jack so we get some USB C headphones let me set all of this asideand we'll take a closer look at the phone itself now this is the Galaxy Note10 and or the 10 plus rather and for a quick size comparison.

I actually have an S 10 plus here on the side so this gives you an idea of size it's a little bittaller as you can see here if I put them like this here try not to bang them intoeach other you'll see it's a little bit taller and just a little bit wider nottoo much and the thickness is very close they're they're both made of metal theyboth feel very high quality the note feels good in the hand and it probablylooks like a normal note instead of a note 10 plus in my hand now let's goaround the outside the front and back are glass of course so you'll want to becareful with that they're Gorilla Glass and then also on the side we now have abixby slash power sleep/wake button then we have a volume rocker and this is onthe left side of the phone on the top we have our SIM card tray and we shouldhave some expandable storage there let's take a look at that we'll pop this outhere happen to have a SIM card ejector tool handy so it looks like we've gotour SIM card tray along with spendable storage and that's up to oneterabyte of extra storage and then in the top we've got some microphones itlooks like nothing on the right side of the phone so no more buttons over herewhich is kind of strange where your thumb lands that's where you get to turnon the the phone itself on the s10 plus and then on the on the bottom we've gotour s-pen our speaker USB C and a microphone and then the S Pen shouldcharge itself while it's in place and now has a 6 F axis gyro in here as wellwe'll take a look at that in a moment now the display should be one of thebest in the industry Samsung makes displays for iPhones and they usuallymake some of the best displays for their own phones so this is a six point eightinch display 1440 by three thousand fourteen with a 19 to 9 aspect ratio in498 pixels per inch it also supports HDR 10 plus now internally.

We have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 with an Adreno 640 GPU this is theUnited States variant there are Exynos variants as well around the world andthen we also have speakers top and bottom and their Dolby Atmos enhancedspeakers and then on the front we have a 10 megapixel camera with an F 2.2aperture that is 26 millimeters wide it also has the dual pixel autofocus andcan record in 4k 30 now if we take a look at the cameras on the back this iswhere this gets a little bit interesting with the note 10 plus and the note 10plus has three cameras plus a depth sensor or a time-of-flight sensor so wehave a 12 megapixel F 1.5 variable aperture 22.4 27 millimeter wide anglelens then we also have a 12 megapixel F 2.1 with a 52 millimeter telephoto lensand then also a 16 megapixel F 2.2 12 millimeter ultra wide lens we also havea time-of-flight 3d VGA depth camera as well so we've got all of these reallynice features built in now the phone itself is ip68 certified so getting itwet shouldn't be too much of an issue and then also it has a 4300 milliamphour bad in the back that supports up to 45 wattfast charging in the 10 plus so we can support that and supposedly 15 wattwireless charging as well now along with all of that we also getWi-Fi a total Evan ABG and a C and a X or Wi-Fi six.

It's dual band and then also bluetooth 5.0 with apt X so we've got all these really nice features and in the United States supposedly there's an FM radio inside of this as well solet's go ahead and turn it on and we'll get it set up now Samsung has always hadincredibly nice displays of course they make the displays custom order for Appleas well with their iPhone so they've kind of always been ahead in the pastfew generations based on the nicer displays that they're putting in things like the note and I like how it goes all the way to the edge with almost no bezeland you can see that better here so let's go ahead and set this up we'll hitnext here so it's going to talk me through this entire process so you haveto agree to the end-user License Agreement and privacy policy so you cando that but you don't have to agree to the diagnostic data we can set up ourinformation either Wireless or with a cable maybe I'll use a cable here we'llhit next so now if I want to move data over maybe I'll use my pixel three XLit's already set up with all the Android apps that I like so we can plug in USB Cto USB C on the pixel I had to set up file transfer on the pixel itself andnow it says connecting to Android device to bring your data so now it'sconnecting I'll wait for it to transfer everything and then we'll be right backonce it's completed now that didn't take that long so now it's asking me to signin with Google so I'll do that so now we'll set the date and time will agreeto Google services and then we can protect our phone we can use facerecognition or finger prints I'm going to use fingerprints and hopefully thisone's a lot better than the s 10 plus I had a lot of issues with that one and I still do so now we're going to scan our fingerprint so you'll see it says pressa little harder hopefully like I said this one's a lot better than the s10plus there we go and it's adding finishing touches so I'm signed in to Samsung we'll hitfinish it says don't disconnect cable transferring but it actually told me italready did that so we should be all set now the phone's been set up let's seehow the fingerprint sensor is and much faster than the s10 plus.

I've had allsorts of issues with the fingerprint sensor on the s10 plus and many peoplehave reported the same it seems like it's much much better much faster and itseems to work a lot better on this device now there's a few features Iwanted to check out as we go over this this is running Android 9 right nowand let's take a look at the update version so you can see here it's Android9 and if we scroll down the security patch level is from August so it's allup to date it's getting the monthly security patch updates so we're good togo there now as far as some of the features one of the things that Ithought was really interesting is with the s-pen if we take the S Pen out hereand then we go over to Samsung notes which I actually have open you'll seeI've written hi we can put a line under it whatever we want and if we hit thisbutton down here at the bottom we can convert this to text so we hit convertand now it says hi now it didn't understand a couple of the scribbles butlet's try Zolo tech see if it understands it and we'll hit the buttonhere and it says convert so it works really well and that's great if you havemessy handwriting like myself and you want to convert that to actual textthat's searchable later on and you want to save that so that's one of the nicenew features and then the Pens have gestures now or the S Pen has gesturessure we'll turn that on and if we want to change modes we hold the button downand then move the pen it has a gyro in it so ifwe move it you'll see actually it's taking a bunch of photos let's see if wedo this we can move it there we go live focus video we can move it back lookslike we have to press the button again to do that it doesn't work incrediblywell but every time I do that I have to press and hold the button so you'll seethat there we go and it's working now live focus video is new as wellnow I played around with this earlier and if you take a look at this videohere it's a little weird with the live focus video look at these edges righthere it gets out of focus and things and I think it works better with people butthat was just an initial test.

I'll try it out a little bit laternow there's also super steady shot which should be really nice when you're usingthe video and you need it to be super steady but it is only 1080p and thenthere's also that depth of vision camera on the back which you can scan 3dobjects I'll have to take a closer look at that at another time this also hasSamsung Dex and link to Windows as well so you can use Dex plugged into a Macand use this on your Mac so I'm really interested to try that out and see whatthat's all about but overall the phone feels incrediblyfast anytime I'm swiping through things you'll see it's really fast my onlycomplaint maybe is I'm not a huge fan of one UI I actually prefer the pixellauncher so I may mess around with that with Nova Launcher but you still get allthe different pen features and everything built-in and you've got thelittle side or apps edge here that works really well this screen protector that'sbuilt in actually seems to to go right up here it's you'd barely know it'sthere with that screen protector that's installed so that's really nice and thenif I spin the camera around here and you'll see to me this looks really goodon the video and I actually have live focus now so I don't know if you can seethat but around my hair and things it's a little bit blurry it's not exactlywhat a real lens would look like but it's not bad at all overall for what youget for the amount of money compared to say an iPhone or something else there'sa tremendous amount of value here it's just whether or not you like the curvededge of this glass.

Do you have trouble sticking to a healthy lifestyle? You know what you need to do and have a plan but you can't seem to stick to it? It's a rather common problem. In this video, I'm going to talk about five things that you could do to set yourself up for success, so you can finally live that healthy lifestyle that you envision. If you're interested keep watching. Hello hello! Welcome back to The Whole Happy Life. I wanted to say a quick thank you to all the new subscribers! I have 500 subscribers now! Thank you for supporting the channel - for all your likes and for all your comments. It really means a lot to me and I really, really mean it. Anyway, let's get started and talk about today's video. So as a holistic nutritionist I see a lot of clients and some of them struggle with sticking to the plan and some do really well. And over the years I've realized that there are some things that people can do to set themselves up for success and in this video I want to share those things that when you start your healthy living plan or your healthy lifestyle you can actually stick to it. So let's begin! Okay, the first thing and I think this is the most important. If you don't do any of the other tips in this video just do this one. I think will make a huge difference! That is to find out what truly motivates you because if you don't have a strong motivating factor, you're not going to stick to your health plan for very long. Now let me explain. So by motivating factor I'm not talking about something that's going to motivate you short term. For example, weight loss is a motivator for sure, but it's an ashort-term motivator. So people are motivated until they lose the weight and then they go back to their old ways and then they regain the weight in some cases. So what I'm talking about is figuring out things that will motivate you long term so that you can make those lifestyle changes and really stick to them for the long haul and not just for a couple months. I can illustrate this better with an example so I had a client who did everything toat T and it was amazing because most people can't follow plans to T and I don't expect them to either but she was really really motivated, so I asked her what's motivating you what's keeping you going because you're doing an amazing job. So she had a really interesting thing to say - her main motivating factor was not to lose weight it was something she was trying to do she was trying to lose weight but that was on her main motivation. Her main motivation was toset a good example for her daughter. She wanted to become a role model for her daughter.

So her daughter could learn healthy habits as well and I think thatwas amazing because it's such a strong motivating factor and something that gonna motivate her every single day. So even if she falls off the wagon for a couple days she'll get back on it because she has that strong motivating factor. Now obviously that motivating factor may not work for you. What works for you may not work for me - we're all different. But I wanted to give you thatas an example. Now an example of what motivates me is my mother passed away when I was 28. She was only 51 - she had a heart attack and it was a result of diabetes and diabetes is a lifestyle disease. Obviously, it has a genetic component but it's main lifestyle - you can prevent diabetes if you take care of yourself. So for me - my main motivating factor for becoming a holistic nutritionist and taking care of myself is to prevent diabetes. Now what I suggest you do is sit down, get a piece of paper and get open - brainstorm! Figure out what it is and motivates you write everything down.Whatever pops up in your head- there's no wrong motivating factor. Once you've written down a couple factors , figure out which one really means the most to you and which one is a long term motivating factor. And you know what write that down on apost-it note stick it up on your fridge or a mirror that you look at every day. It's a constant reminder as to why you're actually on this healthy plan and why you're trying to live a healthier lifestyle. So number two is time management. So a lot of people who come to me as clients they know that they need to eat healthily it's gonna require some cooking, but they can't seem to find the time. Now I know we live very busy lives today it's not like it used to be but we all have 24 hours in the day and some people can manage to do a lot more than others and I think it comes down to time management, efficiency and you know asking for help when you need it. My suggestion is to figure out where you spend your time. So for three days write down a time journal - every single hour of your account it. This is going to be a little bit tedious but it's gonna give you a really good picture. When I did this I figured out how much time I was spending on social media and on my phone just aimlessly scrolling and you know what that is time that you could use for other things for cooking for meal prep for exercise for meditation for all the things that you think you don't have time for. Number three - make cooking more enjoyable. So when it comes to healthy eating, cooking is usually part of the process because I believe that it's much better to have home-cooked meals.

Because no matter how well you try to eat when you're out you really don't know the ingredients that they're using and you don't have control over what they've putin their food but when you're cooking at home you have a lot more control. But Ido understand that not everybody likes cooking. I didn't like cooking when I first started, but you have to realize when it comes to long-term health enjoying cooking and making it less of a chore goes a really long way. So I have avideo on how to make cooking more enjoyable. I'm going to link it in the description box below so watch the video but the one tip I wanted to share here is to embrace experimentation because the more you experiment in the kitchen the more you figure out what you enjoy the more you're going to enjoy cooking Number four - let go of perfection! So I can't count how many times I've had clients come to me and they start the plan really well and two weeks in something happens life happens or they've got something going on or they're busy they've gone on vacation and they fall off the wagon completely and never get back on it because in their mind they need to do the plan perfectly. But I don't agree with that way of looking at health. Health is not about being perfect all the time. It's about doing what you can and doing the best. So let's say you know it'sFriday and you feel like you really need a piece of cake to enjoy it don't beat yourself up for it doesn't feel like you need to punish yourself with an extra workout the next day. You don't need to do that and don't use that cake on Friday as an excuse to eat poorly on Saturday and Sunday so you can start on Monday. Don't do that. That's not the way to go because that is the perfectionist attitude - oh I didn't have a perfect weekend so you know what I'm just gonna be bad all weekend and then I'm gonna do well on Monday. It doesn't need to be like that.

Do your best every day and when you want indulge don't beat yourself up for it because you are in this for the long haul. Not for the short term -for the long haul. So strive for progress not perfection! Number five - find a buddy now this person is someone who's gonna help you stay accountable. It doesn't need to be someone who's doing the healthy eating and living plan with you, it just needs to be someone who you're comfortable with and someone who can push you. Talk to your buddy once a week or once in two weeks whatever works for you and tell them what your progress is and what your setbacks are and see if they can give you some sort of advice or you know their opinions on the matter and they can help push you in the right direction.I find that when we have someone to talk to and someone who will keep us accountable we are more likely to stick to a plan as opposed to doing it on our own. So those are the five things! I hope you enjoyed the video and learned something new. I'm going to be unboxing it and doing a quick reviewwithout further ado let's get to the video I got the A10 on Jumia and it'scurrently Jumia's Mobile Week apart from getting the best prices for thesesmartphones Jumia is also giving three months of data to the first two hundredcustomers daily and a 10% discount when you buy three or more accessories I'llleave a link in the description to where you can get started in the box of theA10 the first thing we get is another box housing the Quick Start Guide andthe warranty card underneath that we've got the A10 itself which we'll get to laternext up is the power adapter charging cable, headphones and the sim ejectortucked away down under it doesn't come with a screen protector or any caseunlike some of the devices in its price range that's everything we get in the boxand looking at the A10 now on that wrap we have the main highlights Samsung isshowing off and as the infinity V display 13 and 5 megapixelcameras and a slim body design taking the plastic of the device were greetedwith the plastic back which is a fingerprint magnet and that's six pointtwo inch display up front there is a microphone up at the top of the deviceand another microphone at the bottom to help with stereo audio recording stillunderneath it we've got the charging port and the headphone jack we've gotthe power button and the volume rocker keys to the right SIM slot to the leftwhich has a space for two nano sims and an SD card on the back we've got a13 megapixel camera with flash samsung branding and on the lower part of theback, we've got the speaker which is backward firing and also some certificationswhich are not obvious the front of the device has the front-facing cameraspeaker and at the top of it is the ambient light sensor. It took one minute and 50 seconds to boot up which leads us to Samsung's One UI on top of Android 9the A10's 6.2 inch IPS display has its screen resolution set at 1520 by 720 so it's a 720p display and I didn't even feel like one screen to body ratio is81.6% thanks to the Infinity V notch at thetop and the lower chin and it's got a PPI of 269.

As I mentioned, we've got one UI here and I must say that scrolling was quite fast. Samsung did a good job with one UI and one of the things I quickly did was to switch device to dark mode you also get the adaptive brightness to it adjust based on the scenes you're in and if you decide to use a screen protector you can bump up the sensitivity. On the A10 we've got 2 gigabytes of RAM and 32 gigabytes of storage. When I had it newly it had 9.1 gigabytes used up already by system data which leaves me with 22 gigabytes of actual storage One UI is quite the functional and customizable OS here running on Android 9 Pie and it feels like Samsung put some of the finesse into this device despite that low price point I even got a security patch update as well there's no fingerprint scanner here the default extra security method you get here apart from the pin, pattern and password is the face recognition which Samsung says is less secure so I would not recommend using it I recommend using a pattern or a pin or something however face unlock was speedy and it worked on time when I used it but I personally wouldn't be using it the A10 runs with an Exynos 7884 chip which is an octa-core processor and it's also got a Mali g71 GPU the processor was able to handle multitasking just fine and multi-window which worked effortlessly it's one ofthe features we've known with Samsung for quite a while before it wasnormalized.

Gaming on the other hand was okay PUBG set the default graphicsto medium which worked for me and I didn't have any complaint about gameplay theonly thing I noticed was that when it lagged it lagged and when it didn't itworked fine. At 43,000 Naira a 3400 milliamp-hour battery is quite tolerable Huawei Y6 Prime is 900 Naira more and that has three thousand and twenty milliamp hours so that's it difference in something around that price range Isaw that battery dropped but it was not too significant and other things to notice that the A10 comes with Bluetooth 5.0 and 4G LTE. The A10 hasa backward firing Speaker like what we saw on the Spark 3 and sound quality wasjust fine here's a sample of what it sounds like Music from Musicbed - Link in Description just like the Spark 3, the sound alsogets muffled when it's placed down but when you're watching videos or playing gamesthat won't be a problem when you open the camera and switch it to selfie modethere's this animation that shows up that same animation is also apparent forface recognition and as far as the specs on the camera for the 13 megapixel f 1.9camera on the back we've got photo mode which has a normal setting and azoom setting and then we can go up to 4 times digital this setting is alsoavailable for the video mode.

There's also Pro Mode where you can control ISOwhite balance and exposure we've also got panorama mode for wider shots for a5 megapixel F 2.0 front camera it's just photo and video and you can't zoom in orout in this mood both the front and back cameras can record in full HD which isactually a good thing and you get to choose high efficiency video or picture formatsbut the only problem I have with those is that you might not be able to usethem on social media or use them in a project. Picture quality on the SamsungGalaxy A10 was okay and I thought image processing was great and the only thingI felt was hindering it was the megapixel size especially for the frontcamera the pictures did come out looking quite soft and as far as low light wentthe flash didn't make much of a difference as it was this screen flashand not an actual flash autofocus on the A10's camera was also great for the priceand it also fairly stabilizes the shots alright so this is the front facingcamera video test of the samsung galaxy A10 the video quality is actuallyexposed very well because image processing is not that high-end here butyeah I think it looks okay on the face and you can also adjust the exposure abit to compensate for that overexposure at the back there but this is thehighest it can go it can't go beyond this and the Samsung Galaxy A10 alsorecords in stereo audio as well which is a good thing and it also records in1080p as well as 720p but you can't zoom in on anything in a video so let me knowwhat you guys think about the video quality and the Sound Qualityas far as my verdict I think that the A10 comes highly recommended for theprice after using for quite some time if not for the build quality thedevice felt closer to something higher in price and the One UI experiencehere definitely adds to it alright guys so based on this quick review thatyou've seen what do you think about Samsung Galaxy A10? Is it worth it to you or do you think it could have been better for this price range? Let me know in the comment section down below also if you have any questions do let me know there and if you enjoy this video please give it a thumbs up and also donut forget to subscribe and turn on notifications so you will be the first see allmy new videos thank you so much for watching and I'll see you guys in mynext video.

Samsung Galaxy A10 with a 6.2-inch Infinity-V screen and a 3400 mAh battery for only a little more than $ 100 #Samsung #Galaxy #A10In parallel with Xiaomi, which literally just presented the Redmi Note 7 Pro smartphone and the Redmi Note 7 version without a 48-megapixel camera, Samsung made its announcement in south Korean giant presented the updated Galaxy A mid-range line in the n market. It includes three models: the Galaxy A10,A30 and A50. The global premiere of the last two took place on Monday, but the younger Galaxy A10, as we mentioned in the news with the announcement of the A30 and A50, missed it. In addition, the n premiere of new products allows you to fill in the gap about prices. Well, the Galaxy A10, as it is easy to understand by its designation, is the youngest and most accessible member of the updated Samsung galaxy. In essence, Samsung has introduced a new class of lower-level smartphones with it.

In , the Samsung Galaxy A10 smartphone was priced at $ 120, sales will begin in mid-March, and there will be three colors to choose from- the case, blue, black and red. For this price, Samsung is a 6.2-inch Infinity-VLCD display with a HD + resolution and a 19.5: 9 aspect ratio, a rare Exynos 7884 SoC, which was previously seen only once in the Galaxy J3 V, 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB flash - memory. The latter can be expanded to 512 GB MicroSD memory card. Also in the configuration are single main and front cameras with a resolution of 13 megapixels and 5 megapixels, respectively. Alas, the fingerprint scanner, the NFC module and the USB-C connector of this model did not get. But got enough capacious battery 3400 mAh. In addition, the Android 9 Pie operating system with the proprietary One UI shell is installed out of the box here. So, in general, in terms of the ratio of characteristics and price, the model looks quite interesting in its class. Interestingly, the future model will offer the A20, which will take place between the initial A10 and the typical middling GalaxyA30. The older Galaxy A30 and A50 in were priced at $ 240 and $ 280, but the European price for the A50 is significantly higher at 350euros. You can’t call it overpriced, considering the presence of a fresh, productive Exynos 9610 SoC, a large Super AMOLED screen with a subscreen fingerprint scanner, a triple camera and a capacious battery, but thereare enough worthy competitors in this range.

Welcome everyone on my blog, I'm Muneeb from TechMuneeb and today we're taking a very special look at the Samsung Galaxy S 105g and today's very powerful video talking about the accessibility featuresyou're gonna find on this device and throughout the s10 range how do you knowthis is an s10 5g well if you're in a 5g area you're going to get 5g up hereinstead of 4G and also you get an extra camera lens on the back which is atime-of-flight sensor but more about that in my review but let's go throughthe accessibility settings today what I'm going to do first of all is makesure the volume is all the way up so you can hear the voice assistant when usingthat and if you press and hold both volume Keys together so you got voice assistant is now on andavailable to use so you can change the levels of volumes still as well if youwant see she's fine so is now hidden we can go through our 1 UI home himmessages notifications internet camera custom current location Prince'sRisborough current temperature 18 degree mostly cloudy weather updated 24 + 9 1332 double tap for more information so highlights everything to me that'shighlighted in that box tells me everything gives me the options as wellwhat I need to do then to carry on using two fingers swipe across you can swipeacross all the way to your bigs behind here tells you your home page you canalso highlight up here at the top 13:37 battery 98% so it will tell youeverything also you this will read back multiple different things for you whenyou're in settings as well wherever you are in your device it willhelp use two fingers screem page 1 of 2 then use 2 fingers again page 2 of 2election no double tap to activate screen page 1 of 2 default page so thatwas the voice assistant that we find on our device and that can be turned on andoff in settings as well as using the volume controls here but with the powerperformance behind the s10 5g this will run so smoothly and you won't have anyissues to turn off use them controls buttons again it will let yo uknow the voice assistant is off.

So let's carry on and go through more thesettings so swipe up we're in our applications here you can also searchfor this as well but we're going to go into settings in settings scroll all theway down and you have accessibility here click on accessibility and it splitsinto different sections which I really find really helpful so no matter yourability your realtor might be visual impaired like myself or you might behearing impaired you might have dexterity and interaction sort ofcondition so you might need to go into different settings to change them butSamsung and the one UI system here splits it into ideal nice littlecategories which I think is really helpful so slightly off the top is thescreen reader so you've got the voice assistant which we went through it doesoffer you a tutorial as well so once toggled on it will give you a tutorialand you can go through the tutorial options underneath that then you havesettings you have text-to-speech option as well that you can toggle on this canchange your speech rate and your pitch and you can test it and then you canchange that to make that a lot faster so some people are able to use that theycan even go even faster that as well be hit reset here and it'll reset back todefault you got verbosity you've got shake forcontinuous reading you got speak your passwords you can read caller ID outaloud so if someone was calling me I can read it out loud that helps thevibration feedback options in here as well sound feedback focus on speechaudio focus indicator you've got a single tap activation as well you haveloads of different settings in here loads of different options that you cango through and actually change and adjust a lot more than what you're gonnafind on a normal talkback option where you see talkback on other Androiddevices this is more in-depth and really well put together from Samsung and ofcourse

Google that they've worked together with to bring all thesesettings together so coming back here so that was voice assistant and I dorecommend using that if you do need it the next option we're gonna go into isvisibility enhancements inside here you have a high contrast theme as your firstoption so we've got none if we select number one here it will take me into theSamsung store where you can download the theme of courseis for free and it shows you little previews here of what it will look likeyou can tap to make it bigger and again this just depends what's best for youreyesight and what's best for your condition also they do have anotheroption also people will upload themes anyway and you can change and adjust thethemes depending on you as well but Samsung do come pre-installed with acouple of different options there that you can download really impressed to seethat straight away you then have high contrast fonts so you can toggle this onokay so what high contrast font does is make it a black text on a white background whereas I prefer the other way around so if I toggle this off it'sgonna go back to that dark parade I prefer white text on a black backgroundyou got a high contrast keyboard so inside here you can change and adjust ifwe toggle on here you can use any one of these making it really easy and simple to do as well whatever one's best for you that you can choose from inside herenice that Samsung take the effort and put more options in show button shapesI'm gonna toggle this on and that you'll notice that slightly changes once that's toggled on or off you then have negative colors so if I toggle this on I'm gonnahit OK because this is different to dark mode so if I come home nowyou'll see it's all negative colors if we go back here go back into here turnthis off there you go going back home you'll see it's a standard it's only themenu options that turn into the dark mode here making it easier for you touse again it all depends on your choice again coming to choice this is whereSamsung are really cared really striving for words so you have color just so you can turn this on and you can go through any one of these options to choose from.

You also have a color panel as well so you can really change and adjust thisdepending on your options underneath that has a color lens again you cantoggle this on you can go through a color lens depending on your eyesightand depending what's easier for you to read again coming home you'll seethere's a slight tinge over the display there and hopefully it's bringing it upwith the lighting that I have here so let's go back we're gonna toggle thisoff and it's going to reset to my preferred option I don't want to saynormal underneath that is remove animations so you can remove animationsif you so wish to it's what I mean by thisis when you actually press this topic on able to toggle it on there's noflashiness of a like a swipe over moving down you did see quickly their magnifierwindow so you have a window that you can manipulate and move around also you canchange the size you can lock it into place and also you can cancel it out soit's a really nice option there if you just want to have a little window to tapon and actually then change or adjust coming into here most of these optionshave deeper settings as well so this is a quick overview but always jump in anddelve in and look at the settings on trying to show as much as I can actuallykeeping it under an hour long because there are so many settings on him shehave magnify sighs you have horizontal focus lock as well you have followtyping focus so different options become available to you then you have magnification so you have triple tap screen magnifier so if we turn this onone two three three quick taps and with as beautiful s AMOLED panel here reallyzooms in and you can just see how crisp and clean that text is still at thatlarge size one two three to come back there's also another option one twothree hold on the third one that will zoom in for you it sort of saves to thesort of high esteem it can go maneuver around release with one finger and itjumps back for you a really good magnify option there thenthere's tap button to magnify so we turn this on here you're gonna get a newlittle accessibility man down here the bottom hello tap him tap here there wego we're now zoomed in you can use two fingers as well to pinch and zoom maneuver your way around even with one finger I think we're - it just seems alittle bit easier but then just tap down here back to standard to great ways ofmagnification there on your device underneath that you've got large mouseor touchpad pointer so you can use a mouse or touchpad pointer to youmani.

With just over a week left before the official launch of the Samsung GalaxyS20s, we pretty much know everything there is to know. What's up, guys? Saf here on SuperSaf TV, and we're going to break down all of the leaks and rumors, SuperSaf style, so you know exactly what to expect. There's also going to be some bonus facts towards the end of this video, so stick around for that. So first up, naming. Yes, the new Samsung GalaxyS series is going to be referred to as the S20series, not the S11s. We're in the year 2020. It looks like Samsung is going in line with that, and also, because we do have quite significant updates compared to last year. This is all but confirmed. We've already seen the S20 branding on some leaked renders, as well as a bootup screen on an S20+ device. Now, this year, like we had last year, we are going to have three Samsung Galaxy S20 devices, the S20, the S20+, as well as the S20 Ultra. Now, the S20 and theS20+ are going to come in 4G or 5G versions, but it looks like according to rumors the S20 Ultra is just going to be available in a 5G version. Now, let's talk about displays, so firstly, the sizes, the S20 is going to be the smallest with a 6.2-inch display. The S20+ with a 6.7-inch display, and the S20 Ultra with a massive 6.9-inch display. We're almost getting into tablet size category here, but of course, the bezels are going to be very, very small, smaller than what we've had in previous years. This is going to give USA 20 by nine aspect ratio, which is also slightly longer compared to what we had last year.

Now, all three displays are going to be following Samsung's Infinity O design, so we're going to have a punch out for the front-facing camera, and this means that my wallpaper from the note 10 should still work on all of these devices, which I'm very excited about. Okay, so besides that, all of these displays are going to be Dynamic AMOLED displays with quad HD plus resolution,so they're going to be sharp, vibrant, some of the best displays in the market, and this year, they are all going to be supporting 120 Hertz refresh rates. This is something that Samsung didn't include last year, so very excited to have that smooth refresh rate on the new S20s, however, there is a catch. From all the leaks andrumors that we've seen right now it seems like when you do go onto 120 Hertz, you are going to be limited to full HD plus, not quad HD plus, so detailsare not going to be as sharp. Now, I don't think this is going to be a huge deal for a lot of people, andI'm not sure why Samsung has done this. Maybe it's to save in battery life, maybe it's the technical limitations of having 120 Hertz. Remember one plus deviceslast year only had up to 90 Hertz with that quad HD plus resolution, so maybe when we get into 120 Hertz this year, anyway, you can only go fora full HD plus resolution, but nevertheless, I'msuper excited about these smooth, smooth displays. All right, now, let'stalk about the builds. Some of you may be pleased to know that although the devices are going to have curved displays, they're not going to be as curved as what we've had in previous years. The recent trend seems to be waterfall displays, which are very, very curved towards the edges, but it looks like Samsung is actually going away from that, and going for something that's still curved, but not as curved as before. We're still going to have a metal and glass sandwich, however, for the S20 andS20+, the frame is going to be aluminum, and for the S20Ultra, we are going to have a stainless steel frame, being the more premium device. All of the devices will beIP68 water and dust resistant, but we do have a major improvement, and that's that you're going to be able to submerge these in water up to five meters, which is a big improvement compared to the around1.5 meters that we've had in previous years. Now, let's talk about the cameras, and this is where things get very, very exciting, so firstly, the camera design is very different from what we've had previously. This is going to be on the left-handed side, and it's going to be a rectangular camera module. Now, for the cameras themselves, the S20 and the S20+ have very similar camera setups, so we've got three main cameras, and the primary camera is going to be 12 megapixels.

Now, this is going to have a larger sensor size compared to what we've had in previous years, so this is going to be an areally good improvement, and then, we're going tohave an ultrawide camera, also at 12 megapixels. This seems to be similar to what we've had in previous years, and finally, we're going to have a 64-megapixel telephoto camera, which is going to give you up to three times optical zoom, and up to 30 times digital zoom, so that's animprovement on the two times that we've had in previous years. The S20+ is also going tohave a time-of-flight sensor. This is something that we're not going to have on the regular S20. Time-of-flight sensors helpwith depth information, so this should give you better portraits on the S20+, but the biggest improvements come on the S20 Ultra, and that's because the primary camera is a 108-megapixel camera. This is using Samsung's new sensor, and that amount of resolution isgoing to be absolutely insane. There's also an improvement for the telephoto camera. This is going to be using periscope zoom technology, 48 megapixels, with upto 10 times optical zoom, and up to 100 times digital zoom, so this is double of the periscope zoom that we saw introduced by Huawei last year with the P30 Pro. It's going to let you getin super, super close. I cannot wait to test these cameras out. Of course, we're going to be doing lots of SuperSaf style camera comparisons and if you do want to see those first, then be sure to subscribe, and hit that bell icon so you don't miss that coverage. The S20 Ultra, of course,is also going to have the 12 megapixel ultrawide camera, as well as the time-of-flight sensor, and onthe side of video, as well, we've got some major improvements. We've got 8K, and upto 30 frames per second across all these devices, which is going to be absolutely insane. I cannot wait to test this out,as well as the pro video mode. So this is going to be reintroduced, and it's going to give you manual controls over video.

Now, for the front-facing camera, the S20 and S20+, 10 megapixels, a similar sensor to what we had last year on the S10s, as well as the Note 10. The S20 Ultra, once again, going bigger and better with a 40-megapixel front-facing camera. We're going to have 4K,60 frames per second across all of these, allthe front-facing cameras. This is an improvement onthe 4K 30 frames per second that we had last year. All right, now, let's talk alittle bit about the internals. These devices are going tobe powered by either the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipsets, or Samsung's Exynos 990,so it looks like once again this year, we might stillhave some inconsistency between the performance of the devices. I'm going to try to geta hold of both variants, so then, I can give you some proper opinions in my reviews, as always, but regardless, I'm confident that these are going to be some of the fastest devices out there. For RAM, we've got 12 gigabytesas a base for all of these, but the S20 Ultra, onceagain, going larger than life, and it's going to have a variant with up to 16 gigabytes of RAM. For storage, it looks like theS20 and S20+ are going to come with a base of 128 gigabytes, with an option of 256 gigabytes available. The S20 Ultra, onceagain, 128 gigabyte space, but up to 512 gigabytes. All of these are goingto have UFS 3.0 storage, they're going to be super fast, as well as micro SD card support, so that is quite interesting that all of these are rumored to have the micro SD card support, and that may mean that you're going to be able to get a maximum of 1.5 terabytes of storage on the S20 Ultra, whichis absolutely insane. Now, for audio, unfortunately, from all the leaks, rumors, and renders, it looks like Samsung is saying goodbye to the 3.5MM jacks, so on the S series, the S10s last year were thelast ones to support this. This is now time to say goodbye,

However, we are going to have USB-C earphones, tuned by AKG, out of the box on all of these devices, as well as, there are speakers tuned by AKG. Now, Samsung is also going to be announcing the Galaxy Buds+, so thisis the second version of their Galaxy Buds, which I've really beena big fan of, however, it looks like these are not going to have active noise cancellation, unfortunately, but they will haveimproved mics, as well as improved battery life, and if you do pre-order the S20 Ultra, at least, itlooks like Samsung should be including the GalaxyBuds+ out of the box. Now, for the fingerprint scanner, it looks like Samsung is still sticking to the ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner that we had last year, and they're not going tobe going for Qualcomm's 3D Sonic Max, which I was definitely hoping for. This gives you a much larger area, and it also gives you two-finger support for extra security, however, unfortunately, this is not going to be coming to the S20 series. Maybe it will be coming to the Note 20 series. Now, for the batteries, the good news is that all of these devices are going to be packing some big, big batteries, the S20coming in with 4,000 MAH, 4,500 for the S20+, andthe S20 Ultra coming in with a massive 5,000 MAH. All of these are going to support fast charging, 25 watts out of the box, and there may be a 45-watt charger available that you'd have to buy separately. All devices are going to support fast wireless charging, as well as reverse wireless charging, where you're going to be able to charge other devices like the Galaxy Buds+ on the S20s. Right, so when are we officially going to hear about the S20s? Well, the Unpacked date is set for the 11th of Feb, and I am going to be doing lots of coverage, hands-on, from there, so once again, make sure you have subscribed and hit that bell icon so you don't miss any of that coverage, and for pricing, still a bit of a question mark, but we're looking at between $900 to $1,000 for the S20, between $1,000 to $1,100 for the S20+, and for the S20 Ultra, around $1,200 to $1,300. Now, these will, of course, vary depending on your region, and the 5G variants will be more expensive to the base, 4G variants of the S20 and S20+, and for the release date, it looks like around the 6th of March, so quite a big gap between Unpacked and the official release of the S20s. All right, so that is pretty much everything that we know about the S20s, but don't go anywhere yet.

As mentioned towards the beginning of this video, there are some bonus leaks and rumors, and these are around the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip. This is Samsung's second foldable device, and it's more of a clamshell design, compared to the tablet phone factor that we had on the Galaxy Fold, and we have lots of leaks, specs for this, too, so it looks like we're going to have a 6.7-inch, full HD plus AMOLED foldable display, and this is going to beon the Infinity O design once again, with the punchout for the front-facing camera. It's going to be powered bythe Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ chip set, that's the previous chip set from Qualcomm with eight gigabytes of RAM, up to 256 gigabytes of UFS, 3.0 storage, with micro SD card support, a 10-megapixel front-facing camera for the punchout, as well as dual 12 megapixel rear-facing cameras. One of these is going tobe a primary wide camera, as well as an ultrawide camera, a small front display, which is going to show you things like the timeand your notifications, a 3,300 MAH battery with support for wireless charging, as well as wireless reverse charging, and that's roughly what we know about the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip, rumored to come in at around $1,400, which will be undercutting the Motorola Razr, which is also a similar clamshell design, but this seems to have much, much better specs,so this is something that I am definitely also excited to check out. This is also going to be announced at the Unpacked event on the 11th of February. So what do you guys think of the new S20s, and the Z Flip, based on allof these leaks and rumors? Are you excited? Definitely let me knowin the comments below. I'm very, very excited. This is going to be thefirst big launch of the year, and it's going to start offa very, very interesting year in the smartphone space.
