Engine Oil:

Engine oil plays a vital role to keeps your engine mechanically sound.So you should change the engine oil at regular intervals(For first time you have to change the engine oil very soon).The intervals in terms of No.of kilometer (miles) or no.of.months which comes first.Engine oil act as a lubricant.It reduce noise and keeps your engine piston safe.Check the engine oil level when bike was in straight stand.Level should be between upper and lower marker.Select type of engine oil suggested by bike manufacturer. Check for the international specification like API SJ SAE 20 W 40 / 10 W 30 (JASOMA) specifications.

Clean Oil Filter:

Oil filter is used to filter out the impurities which may damage the bike engine.No need to change the oil filter,if it is not damaged.just clean and use it again.For my bike,i cleaning oil filter for every 5000 km.Only once i changed it after 35000 km.

Clean Air Filter:

If the air filter is dirt and it might reduce the engine performance.Make sure your air filter is clean.If it is damaged replace a new one.Fresh engine oil and new air filter instantly increase your bike performance.you should clean the air filter for every 1,500 km.

Type of Fuel:

In India petrol are available in so many brands like speed ,power etc.These are little bit costlier than normal one.When i was bought my bike,for first few months i only used premium petrol.after that,i turned to normal unleaded petrol.But,i am not feeling any performance issue's.But make sure the right quality fuel and the right quantity as pumps as we all know are such a scam.

spark plug:

Check your spark plug time to time.Clean the spark plug if you find any impurity.For cleaning just dip your spark plug in petrol and wipe the impurities using a clean and dry cloth.

Bike Chain:

Chain can cause a serious problem to your bike.So you have to check your chain visually.If you find any defect immediately change it.Chain should be adjust depending upon the type of bike.
