The 1.3 litre Campro IAFM Saga SV was launched on June 15 with prices starting from RM33,438.

It is fitted with 13-inch steel wheels, 1 DIN radio with CD player, power steering, manual side mirror control, side turn signal integrated with side mirror, dual airbags, pre-tensioner seatbelts, child restraint anchorage and car immobiliser.

Available in six colours - solid white, elegant brown, tranquility black, genetic silver, fire red and blue rock -the Saga SV comes with a three-year or 100,000km manufacturing warranty (whichever comes first).

No mechanical changes to the powertrain – the car is equipped with the same 94 hp and 120 Nm 1.3 litre CamPro IAFM mill as found on the rest of the FLX range. Equipment on the Saga SV includes a single-DIN CD player, reverse sensor and 13-inch steel wheels.

Proton Saga SV is available in both manual and CVT versions; the manual goes for RM33,438 (solid) and RM33,888 (metallic), while the CVT is priced at RM36,438 (solid) and RM36,888 (metallic), all on-the-road with insurance. That’s almost RM5,000 cheaper than the FLX Standard 1.3, the previous entry-level Saga.

Mated to a six-speed manual transmission, the engine allows the CUB to sprint from 0-100km/h in 7.7 seconds and top out at 230km/h

Under the new Cadenza’s hood, Kia installed the most powerful V-6 engine it’s ever offered, a 3.3-liter version with an output of 293 horsepower at 6,400 rpm and 255 pound-feet of torque at 5,200 rpm. The engine features technologies like direct injection (GDI), dual continuously variable valve timing for improved fuel economy and performance, a maintenance-free timing chain, and a three-step variable induction system for enhanced torque.

The engine is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission equipped with a Sportmatic manual shift mode and paddle shifters flanking the leather. All the power is sent to the front wheels.

Compared with most pickup trucks on the market, the Ridgeline comes only in a one-size-fits-all configuration with 4 doors, seating for five and a five-foot-long cargo place. A distinctive characteristic of this cargo bed is a compact covered trunk inside. It usually is accessed via the tailgate, which both folds down, like other pickups, but also swings to the side for easier access.
Unibody construction means Ridgeline is the only pickup that doesn’t attach its body to a separate frame. It instead uses car-type engineering in which body and frame essentially are a single, lighter-weight unit. Honda reinforces the structure to make it roughly as rigid as a conventional compact pickup’s though Ridgeline is not as well-suited to extreme off-roading or at-the-payload-limit hauling.

The four wheels are powered by a 3.5-liter 250-horsepower V6 truck engine through a 5 speed auto transmission. The EPA rates the EPA’s fuel economy at 15 mpg in the town and 21 mpg on the hwy.

2013 Peugeot 208 GTi - turbocharged 1.6-litre THP with 200bhp

2013 Peugeot 208 GTi powered by the turbocharged 1.6-litre THP with 200bhp, an engine that's already fitted in the impressive RCZ. This gives the little 208 a 0-62mph time of less than 7.0 seconds and Peugeot is promising strong in-gear performance helped by a kerbweight of just 1160kg and torque of 275Nm.

2013 Peugeot 208 GTi also gets a reworked exhaust and close-ratio six-speed manual gearbox. There's no word on official economy but CO2 is 145g/km.

The standard 208 has had a mixed response since its launch earlier this year with criticism of the steering and handling. Whether the GTi version will be any different remains to be seen, but it does come with revised suspension, shock absorbers and anti-roll bars while there's an enhanced front subframe and a more rigid rear crossmember.

The steering has been made firmer plus there are 17-inch alloy wheels with 205/45 tyres. There's also a 10mm wider track at the front and 20mm wider at the back.

The new Toyota Auris 2013 comes in a few trim levels, with the most efficient package being the 1.5-liter model with Super CVT-i transmission and optional Toyota Stop & Start idling-stop function for 19.2 kilometers per liter (45 miles per gallon) on the lenient JC08 test cycle.

The Auris is being released in the Japanese and European markets and the two markets have their own set of engines. The 150X trim level in the Japanese market comes with a 1.5-liter 1NZ-FE engine and a Super CVT-i transmission. This engine pumps out 107 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 103 pound-feet of torque at 4,200 rpm. This engine gets 18.2 km/L (42.81 mpg) in its base format. With the optional stop-and-start system, this engine jumps up to 19.2 km/L (45.16 mpg). The 150X is available in front- or four-wheel drive.

The JDM Auris 180G and RS will come with a 1.8-liter 4-cylinder 2ZR-FAE engine that boasts 147 horsepower at 6,400 rpm and 132 pound-feet of torque at 4,000 rpm. The 180G model comes with the Super CVT-i transmission, but the RS comes with a more suitable 6-speed manual transmission. This engine gets slightly lower gas mileage than the 1.5-liter engine, at 16 km/L (37.63 mpg).
