Full 3D Or 3D Ready, What Is The Difference?

What is the difference between Full 3D HDTV and 3D Ready HDTV

Before a 3D TV purchase you would want to know what you are buying – full 3D TV or 3D ready TV because of additional 3D accessories you might need to experience amazing 3D.

Typically it’s said that the additional 3D accessories are optional, but don’t get fooled here as without them you won’t be capable to view 3D. They are must have devices, without this it’s just a regular television.

There are several types of TV display technologies currently in the marketplace that are considered 3DTV and 3D Ready. These current TV display technologies include DLP, Laser, Plasma and LCD.

The first commercially available types of 3DTVs use active shutter glasses for viewing 3D. 3DTV displays that use glasses free or auto-stereoscopic approaches are available but are several years away from being commercially viable.

There are several 3D HDTV manufacturers like Samsung, LG, Sony, Vizio, Sharp, Toshiba, Mitsubishi and Panasonic HDTVs. These brands are selling full 3D and also 3D-ready TVs.

Samsung, Sony and Toshiba have announced that some of their 3D ready HDTVs can convert 2D to 3D, while Panasonic, LG and others are not making that claim yet.
Converting standard 2D DVDs into a 3D viewing experience can be done using advanced 2D to 3D conversion software. Conversion happens in real time as you play the movie, so you can experience your favorite movies with enhanced 3D effects without having to wait.

Full 3D TV
3D HD TVs that are capable of displaying 3D out of the box. These are called full 3D TVs. 3D TVs manufactured after March 2010 are new 3D format TVs. Also specified 3D glasses will be required to view the content in 3D.

The newest 3D technology utilizes a new format (side-by-side or top-bottom panels) for delivering 3D content. For proper 3D display you should have up-to-date and compatible consumer electronics and 3D glasses. Since no industry standards on glasses have been adopted, you will need to purchase 3D glasses that the manufacturer specifies, likely the same brand as your 3D HDTV.

3D Ready TV
3D-ready TV purchased before March of 2010 will likely not be compatible with this newer 3D format and therefore may not work. However some manufacturers have announced they are working on an adapter for some of their previous 3D ready HDTVs.
So, with a 3D-ready HDTV, you will need to buy an add-on (a 3D adapter) to get your HDTV display 3D content. 3D ready TV plays in 2D only unless you get the stuff with it.
Quite often 3D ready TVs are listed as “Full 3D Ready HD 1080p”. See? Look before you leap!

3D Capable TV
Often “3D capable” stands for a 3D display that is either 3D full or 3D ready. Anyway, make sure you get what you want, or you will spend more than you planned initially.

3D Ready HDTVs
Manufacturers of 3D Ready TVs have their own requirements on how to watch their 3D Ready TVs, what devices you’ll need, where to get them and how to put together all the stuff.

To watch 3D-Ready HDTVs you are required to buy a compatible 3D adapter or 3D starter kit that includes the adapter to get your 3D going. Without this adapter, your HDTV will display great 2D pictures, but you will not be able to watch anything in 3D.

Think Facebook! How many sad gets do you see who's profile pics have been taken in the mirror or with their hand held out in front of them? Thousands and thousands will be the answer. I have seen loads myself. In fact I.....erm, no I have not done it myself!! But this thing could go into mass production and the producers could sell it on Facebook via those Facebook ads, they would make an absolute fortune.

If this is not already in production I want a piece of the pie, who invented this? I want to speak to you now about our new business venture!

A bicycle/lawnmower hybrid, just what the world has always wanted.

Come to think of it, if this bicycle lawnmower thing actually works it would be great. But does it work? We have no idea but trying to take in the physics of this thing I am sure it could cut the grass, after all before electric and petrol lawnmowers were invented people used to push the front end of this thing about to cut the lawn. Those manual lawnmowers used to work when you pushed them so I am sure this bicycle lawnmower will work with pedal power.

Practical? Well yes for large areas of grass but not so practical to mow around my flower beds. I would have me pansies flying all over the place!

I remember a long long time ago, in a Galaxy far far away......ahem, maybe not quite like that but it was a long time ago when I used a Pritt Stick, back in my school days. Anyway have any of you seen the butter stick?

The butter stick looks just like a Pritt Stick but is filled with butter. How cool is that? Now you can glue your bread together with real butter.

This is in my eyes is not a crazy invention nor would I would call it a useless invention, in fact I like, I like it a lot! This is so cool that I WANT ONE! Someone please tell me where I can buy a BUTTER STICK!

SCIENTISTS DISCOVER THE 'SLUT' GENE!

Are you or someone you love the type who sleeps around a lot? Well, good news, scientists think they know why. A SUNY-Binghamton researcher claims he’s pinpointed the gene that makes people more promiscuous.

Hooray for science!

According to a new study by researcher Justin Garcia, a variant of the DRD4 gene is responsible for people’s tendency to sleep around in uncommitted situations.

Garcia said, “The motivation seems to stem from a system of pleasure and reward, which is where the release of dopamine comes in. In cases of uncommitted sex, the risks are high, the rewards substantial and the motivation variable — all elements that ensure a dopamine ‘rush.’” The study polled and took DNA samples from 181 young adults to determine its findings.

Garcia reported that those with the gene were twice as likely to engage in uncommitted sex. But of course, Garcia says it’s not all the gene’s fault. The choices people make in their relationships are still the primary factor. But, proportionally, this gene can make you dabble in the strange a little bit more.

Similar studies have found links between the DRD4 gene and other excesses, like gambling or alcohol addiction.

Now I’m no scientist, but what I gather from this study is that the next time I go out, I need to bring a home DNA kit, some cotton swabs, and a lab coat. I typically only bring 66% of those things when going out, but next time I’ll be sure to have all three. Nothing can stoke the flames of passion more than swabbing the cheek of a girl’s mouth, telling her to hang on, then getting back to her two weeks later when the results are in and telling her, “Good news baby, your DNA tells me you like uncommitted sex.” It’s like a novel with Fabio on the cover.

Good things certainly do come in small CHEAP packages. I have tried other docking stations at under £20 but this one is certainly about the best one I have personally used. UFO Caught On Camera When Taking Photograph Of Solar Eclipse!

AMD have finally unveiled the APU (Accelerated Processing Unit). The APU is a combination of both a CPU and a GPU integrated together. This is a massive step forward for AMD and the initial results look very promising indeed. Software to tell us if an image has been photoshopped

A scientist from Dartmouth College, Hany Farid, has been developing digital forensics software that can tell if a digital photograph has been manipulated with Adobe Photoshop- the world’s most popular image editing software. The forensics software can identify if an image has been tampered with by checking its properties against a database of every digital camera ever made. The software then detects if there are any variations in the signature or traces left behind by Adobe Photoshop which are tell-tale signs that the photograph has been tampered with.

The scientist plans to sell the software to law enforcement agencies that need unaltered photographs for court evidence, though it’s uncertain when we’ll actually see it in use. There are limitations to Farid’s software though. The software can only tell if an image has been doctored, but not which part of it, but at least progress is being made. It’s not going to totally eliminate fake photography, but you can bet forgers will be working a lot harder now.

The G Sensor is a really sensitive and this even is 3D compatible so you can play your 3D games on it!

We've tried it and it really is sensitive enough to play racing games using the G Sensor. 3g works perfect and the whole thing is fast as lightning.

The robot legs dog is being created by the clever people over at Darpa. It is designed to carry equipment into battle over rough terrain where vehicles can't get.

What’s so difficult about creating autonomous legged robots? In short, “everything,” says Tom Wagner, program manager in DARPA’s IPTO. Robots such as 4.9-pound (2.2-kilogram) LittleDog are designed to sense the world around them, make decisions based on the information they gather, and then attempt to take some action based on this information. “There are fundamental research challenges that lie in all of these areas, [such as] whether the system can differentiate tall grass from a barbed wire fence, plan its path accordingly, and then follow along that planned path even when the terrain is uneven and difficult,” he adds. For an autonomous system like LittleDog, all of the difficulties with perception, cognition and action are combined with the engineering challenges posed by the mechanical system.
