Admission Requirement

Candidate should possess at least SSCE, NECO GCE 0rdinary Level or NABTEB in not more than two sittings, with a minimum of credit in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Biology and Chemistry. Candidate who does not satisfy the above requirement for admission needs not apply.

Duration of Programme

The programme is expected to run for six (6) calendar months after which there will be an intensive and compulsory ICT programme which will run for three (3) months immediately after the final examination while successful candidates are awaiting admission into the degree programmes.

Method of Application

(1) Prospective Applicants are to proceed to LAUTECH website www.lautech.edu.ng to make payment of Ten Thousand Naira (N10,000:00) only for the ApplicationForm and registration online using Interswitch enabled Debit Cards (ATM)

(2) Each prospective candidate is expected to carefully complete and submit the online Application Form. Incomplete Application Form will notbe treated.

Closing Date

The closing date for the submission of Application form is Friday, May 17, 2013. Each candidate must ensure that the examination slip bearing his/her passport photograph is downloaded and printed as an evidence of successful submission of form.

Please note that late completion/submission of forms will not be entertained.

Entrance Examination

The entrance examination will take place on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 10.00 am at specified centres in Ogbomoso.

How difficult was it for you to step out of the shadows of disappointment early in life?

I am the last child in a family of six. My father had a degree in demography from the then University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University), while my mother studied Mathematics and Statistics at the Kwara State Polytechnic.

Significant to my growing up experience was my dad’s death while I was four years old. My mother was very strong through those years and through her, I learntto trust in God from childhood. My mother, out of her caring attitude resigned from her banking job before my dad’s death, when she noticed we were not doing so well in school.

After my father’s death, rather than returning to her banking job, she felt we needed her more than ever before. Even though it appeared to be one of the most ridiculous things to do at that time, God really used her to ensure that we all had a very good upbringing. She chose to be her own boss in order to spend moretime with her children.

She is 50 now and her happiness is that we are all graduates of various universities.

All Fresh Students are to pay Five Hundred Naira (=N= 500.00) in their respective faculties for hiring of academic gowns for the ceremony.

Evidence of payment for the academic gowns should be presented to the Faculty Officer who will issue the gown to such students.

Such academic gowns should be returned to their Faculty Officers on or before Monday, March 4,2013, failing which a fine of One Hundred naira (=N= 100) per day would be imposed on the erring students.

All matriculating students are expected to assemble in front of the 1,200 Seater Lecture Theatre by 9:00 am for the ceremony.

All stakeholders, parents, guardian, friends and the general public are invited.
