Workout regimen of Gwyneth Paltrow?

As a followup to my previous article about how Gwyneth Paltrow lost her baby weight, we have some more information from Ms Skinny on how she stays fit as revealed in an interview. What she has said will not surprise many of us who know that there is not shortcut to weight loss and cutting back on calories and ramping up your workout routine are the only things that work.

Paltrow basically lays it out in simple English that there is no fairy dust or her genetic makeup or a coincidence that she is slim and fit. She basically works hard at it by including at least 45 minutes of cardio workout daily except for weekends. After that she does an additional 45 minutes of strength training making it a total of 90 minutes five times a week.

Now if she has been on vacation or overeaten a bit, she immediately raises the duration to two hours six days a week. It does sound like a lot but ladies if you can't do it then don't expect to look young and beautiful like her.

Why is it that celebs have no problem losing pregnancy weight? Well, because they make a living from how they look so it is as important for them as it is for the rest of us to work hard in the office. I think if we were also judged on how we look by our offices, trust me, the world will not have an obesity problem.

The Victoria's Secret model Karolina Kurkova had no problem losing her baby weight. Apparently she is fond of personal trainer Tracy Anderson (the woman behind the baby food diet) and enjoys Pilates. She also did ballet, dancing, and aerobics. By adding a lot of fiber to her diet she made sure that her stomach was full but she was not eating the calories.

A personal trainer to Hollywood celebrities, Tracy Anderson came up with a strange idea that adults could eat baby food and lose weight. There is absolutely no scientific rationale for grownup women eating like babies, but because baby food comes in small packages, has very few harmful substances added to it, and you will feel guilty eating 6 jars of baby food, you will lose weight simply because you will not eat enough. And to make sure that you do not die from starvation, know-nothing Tracy Anderson recommends a normal dinner, something that the morning banana diet does too.

And desperate that celebs are, apart from many others, Jennifer Aniston is sold on it, claiming to have lost 7 pounds it one week. Actually, simply being aware about losing weight and controlling what you eat, can help you lose that much weight so the secret is not baby food. Anybody can do that by simply eating less calories.

I don't know if it makes any sense at all but Tracy says that "I developed a cleanse where you can still eat and it's a lot of puree foods. I was very careful about the foods I chose to put in it. When you do these liquid cleanses I felt a responsibility to come up with something. Liquid cleanses do help you lose weight but you will gain more the next week. I wanted something where you can eliminate toxicity, break bad habits but still have your digestive system going. That is when the baby food cleanse was born."

The bottom line is that unless you look as good as Jennifer Aniston and are trying to lose just a few pounds, don't waste money on baby food. On the other hand, if you look like the most of us and are trying to lose lots of pounds, eat less calories and burn the fat with serious workouts. That simple, time-tested path often shown on The Biggest Loser is what will definitely work.

Why is it that impossible tasks like losing baby weight seem so easy for celebs. Adriana Lima actually told a tabloid that it wasn't that bad to do do and that it was easy. A mere six months later she looks as if she never got pregnant. I guess it is the dedication that they have towards the gym. For her, it is 1-2 hours of cardio every day, which trust me, is a lot because most women don't do this daily and not for this long. In addition she sticks to a protein-rich diet shunning carbs altogether.

Yes, as doctors suggest, breastfeeding has many benefits for the child, but it does not guarantee that you will lose weight. According to Salma, "the myth that says you lose all this weight when you breast-feed? That is sooo not true."

I know it sure does help your body work harder but if you continue to overeat and not watch your calories, the weight will not come off. Even worse, you might even gain a few pounds.

In the end losing weight is all about maintaining a healthy balance between calories consumed and burned. So I am back to repeating that working out and low calorie diet are keys to losing weight.

Pregnancy can be very hard on a woman's body. Weight gain, stretch marks, and sagging our almost universal. Even Salma Hayek, a Latin celeb that I admire a lot, has changed since her daughter Valentina was born.

Now, as is very clear from this photo, pregnancy has been a blessing to Christina Aguilera. She confessed in one interview that her breasts became as big as E cups and it seems that there is no going back for her. She is definitely proud of her chest and is not afraid to show it. Hot mama, indeed.

I always get amazed when celebs show off their bodies after childbirth as if they just walked out of a plastic surgeon's office. Well, some of them do when they undergo the so-called "mommy makeovers" that typically include liposuction, tummy tuck, and breast lift, but in the case of Jennifer Lopez, to the best of my knowledge, it was all through hard work.
