All photos from Pinterest

I dressed up as Wednesday Adams....which was a pretty lazy option as everyother has the clothers....but pretty effective none the less. I spent the weekend in Europes Spookiest city, Edinburgh which is one of my favorite places, mostlly because of the ghost tours!

Six months later I am still in London and failing at the blogging lark. However I refuse to throw this in the can just yet.

Today I want to share Terry Richardson's blog. I've been on it every day for the past few weeks. Its pretty addictive, gorgeous photos of gorgeous people hanging out. He makes everything and everyone look hipster chic. With a good amount of boobs also. So if you're not into boobs, do NOT click on this link. (...weirdos)

Terry himself

I could continue posting photos all day but I'm watching a film and it very confusing, so I need to pay attention.

Bray Day

2012-08-09T08:25:00.002+01:00

I'm pretty much thrilled to be from Bray 24/7, but today is the day the whole country watches the girl from Bray. Dramatic or what.

Katie Taylor (who went to St Fergal's where my mom teaches) is boxing today at 4:45pm today and hopefully win a Gold for Ireland. It's kind of a big deal.

Some of these having being flying about the Internet this past week..

Tweet for Katie updates

For months nay years we have been waiting for London 2012, and now its here!.... I though like most people it would be nothing put a public transport nightmare and general pain in the ass. I was wrong, I actually love the Olympics, so much so that I would consider taking up some kind of sport. Everyone is in a great mood and friendly here in London. The bus driver no longer look at me like I'm mental when I say Hello and thank you. Nothing I love more the cracking a smile out of someone, and London is smiling away at the minute - god this is cheesy.

For the Olympics Rio 2016, I have narrowed down some possible sports I could compete in.They are Rowing, Badminton, & Shooting.

Rowing seems the obvious choice, those two Team GB wans hadn't picked up an oar 4 years ago - or so i hear. I have never picked up an oar or been in a rowing boat, or used the rowing machine in the gym. This is a great place to start though, from scratch.

Badminton. Another obvious choice. They didn't do much other than hit the yoke into the net and got to the next round, simples. Also another sport where you get to have a partner - so its not your fault if you lose.

Shooting; well in my books I cant really see this as a sport. If they're letting the lady who's 8 months pregnant compete, surely that means its open to Fatty's? Sounds good to me...

In other Olympic News Katie Taylor of Bray ( BRAY - THATS MY HOME TOWN TOO) is boxing tomorrow. I don't know much about boxing but being from Bray and that my grandad was a boxer I imagine I would be OK at this too. Lets ad it to the Rio list while we're at it.

Grandad Quinn boxing away

This week..

2012-06-17T11:04:00.002+01:00

Been tweet tweeting more this week as have the London home and work life semi sorted. However I suspect some of you are gagging for more from me ....(Hi Mom) It has come to my attention that Irish people are hilarious and friendly. Think it took being away for so long to see why tourists say that all the time. Not that the Londoners have been unfriendly, on the contrary, but think Irish people have a unique sense of humour that i'm going to miss while I'm here.

Heading to Bricklane for the day to look for tresure...peace out.

Katievanb's ear cuff from Bricklane Market..

been hanging out on Tumbler a little

Morvan and Cici are my fave tumblers

...and as always I've been having the lolz on Rosemary's blog, go go go now and check it out if you never have before.

How I have never managed to blog about Beyonce is beyond me. I think she is without a doubt my fave 'celeb/singer/personality' at the moment. I saw her last year at Oxegen with @minifinno and seriously balled my eyes out when she came out. Since leaving her Dad's management her look and sounds are just unreal. The woman is on a role but seems not to have let the fame to go her head...respect

Nicked a few pics from her tumbler, love that she's online now and I'm one step closer to being her friend.

here's pics of actual Beyonce when I saw her

...and now for some tunes

..coming up, "Beyonce and why I love her Volumes 2-12" and "Jay Z and Me"

tweet the crap outta me if you're on there.

Oh hi there England

2012-04-17T14:04:00.000+01:00

Sooo, this is awkward, I up and left the country and my blog... but fear not dedicated Internet users, I'm here, I'm alive and I'm not going away...ever, isn't that comforting?!

On February 3rd (2012...this feels like it will be an important date for future autobiography ghost writers) I got an email, while I was getting my hair cut in the newly refurbished Peter Mark in Bray, asking me to start on Monday at Fabulous Magazine as an intern. So I thought to myself, as I my hair was being pulled out of numerous rolly hair brushes (which is excruciating), sure why not.

Home I sped to book a flight and accommodation, moved to London two days later without any sort of plan.

some images of London, none of which look like the London I live it, but sure this is it..

My mom was surprisingly grand with this decision, while obviously I just thought I wouldn't tell my Dad, and he's eventually figure it out (harsh perhaps, but I didn't wanna stress him out)

..And off I went..

Since moving to London from the glorious Bray I have learned the following:

I really enjoy talking to strangers
I still can't cook
Being poor is grand, as you don't mind the noise of your stomach
Londoners are only nice if you smile (a lot) and play up the Irish-ness
half the people you hang out with aren't really your friends, the few good ones will skype the bejasus outta you though.

I am turning into my Mother every day

That's about all for now, it's raining here, JUST like it used to in Ireland (I've become an extreme Irish Nostalgia-ist). I'm far more hopeful of employment and the likes here than at home, however I SHALL be back to Bray eventually.

Now I'm off to find my dream job....oh joy!

..also go check out my two fav blogs from Cici and Katie!

Tweet me if you're about London for a drink or employment opportunities!

SPRING

new project

2012-01-23T12:56:00.001+00:00

So while on the days I amn't (spell check tried to change this ain't, but i refused) knocking on doors handing out CV's. I started a new blog with my friend Katie.

She will be posting photos of her outfits, celebs shes interviews and letting us in on her adventures in general! Many of a little photos shoots involved us sitting in my car, too cold to move or me telling her to cover her bum in those short shorts.

I'll be sure to post my behind the scenes photos.. as they are far superior to the finished photos sometimes!

So go have a look at KatieVanB.com or not.. whatever makes you happy...

..but do seriously go for a look or else.

check out my Twitter for updates as always :)

Fringe bag €165

The lovely Lorna over at CoraLlei has just launched her limited edition winter collection. If you haven't heard of CoraLlei before, well let me tell you she trained with the maker of Mulberry, Karen Millen along with Livia Firth, actor Colin Firth’s wife, have both recently been spotted carrying her designs and most of all she hails from Bray, Co. Wicklow...not biased just think its a lovely place!

The fringe bag above is inspired by Marlene Dietrich (loves!)

As well as this fringe bag she has a new range of Mini CoraLlei purses for €55 each. The purses are available in 4 styles and are made with a mixture of leather and suede alternatives, Italian wool, lace and hounds-tooth fabric..a la the Kardashians

Wanna see some of her collection in the flesh(fabric?) Irish ethical designer, Lorna Burton, will debut stunning new lines from her CoraLlei collection at the ‘Ladies Night out in Style’ evening at Longueville House in Mallow on Thursday, 24^th November at 7.30pm.

BEHOLD, the work of Francoise Nielly

"French artist Francoise Nielly is no stranger to the grand scale. Her vibrant, illuminating works regularly span six feet in length, a size that gives her work a captivating quality. These portraits capture the beauty and emotion of a range of faces, showing the colorful variety of the human spirit" -You're not wrong..

If ever I wanted a family portrait it is my this woman. My art class is going pretty well, so I'm cultural -ising my brain at the moment to get into painting. So far I'm terrified of paint and much more comfortable with a pencil.

Just WOW... I love colour

Hello Movember

2011-11-02T21:39:00.001+00:00

This week........

I went mad for skeletons. I make a pretty good skeleton as I'm already pretty white and bony.

Myself and Katie Van

I also assisted on a fashion shoot for Fash Mob with Rosemary Mac Cabe and considering I read it religiously, I was pretty chuffed to be a helper for the day.

also....

this happened

BRITNEY!!!

Now I know she's not in her Hit Me Baby days...(WHO IS?) ..and she doesn't dance and may have had one to many slices of toast..but it's still Britney Spears. I pretty much lost my cool from the opening song until the end.

Feel free to rip it outta me.

...I'll just be over here listening to Opps I Did It Again (a classic)

neon movie poster that move..

What a creative post title..

Err' body needs to check this out!

Mr. Whaite is a pop artist and neon obsessive,or so say his blog. Go have a look at his blog right now and treat your eyeballs for a Thursday.

(via Broadsheet.ie)

now I have the Back to the Future song in my head..

I LOVE these, don't you internet? I want one so bad. Check out Mr. Whaite's Twitter for more.

if only a cartoon could be the president

2011-10-17T18:12:00.000+01:00

Love this cartoon by Niall O'Loughlin, as the presidential race heats up the main question is are YOU registered to vote?

Fear not, Register here or ask me to check for you..

Another caricaturist I'm a big fan of is Allan Cavanagh, who was working with me over the weekend. I'm only thrilled with his portrait of me.....wouldn't you be!?

this week..

2011-10-07T21:20:00.004+01:00

This guy

Steve Jobs probably inspired more people than ever as he passed away on Thursday. My news feed was full of 'big' quotes, but for once I didn't mind the spammyness of it all.

Annie Mac was in all week for Fearne Cotton, and so i was introduced to some serious tunes. I love that she's irish, but for some reason on Irish radio stations, i'm just not impressed with the dj's.

its a bit like the music on Ci Ci Cavanagh's blog, which i LOVE! Go listen now, its just like having background music to your life. I imagine it would be the music to the show about me, if i was in a Truman Show kinda world.

Also I decided i'm going to balayage my hair (whats that, a year late you say?..you shut up), my hair is kinda sorta naturally balayaged (in your face). I would love to go with peachy tones, as pink would be a bit much in work at the moment, ala Lauren Conrad

..and finally i started an art class (i know, check me out)..

currently drawing an hopefully painting a lot of Tim Walker photos

This is a poor selection of his work, go buy the book, it's unreal. Every photo is like something you may have imagined once and there it is, in print!

and for now i bid you adieu...has anyone gone into Dublin Contemporary yet? I must this weekend, I hear good things.

On facebook? OMG, me too!

#LFW

2011-09-19T22:51:00.003+01:00

This weekend i was working at a small slice of London Fashion Week at the Roberto Cavalli Party in London. (I was meant to stay the week but unfortunately the National Ploughing Championships are on and i'm working at them too - I KNOW, lets never speak of this again)....anyways.......

As you can imagine Roberto Cavalli likes thinks big, over the top and with no expense spared. My eyes were nearly falling outta my head the entire time, the chandeliers, the canapés, the fashion, the fake boobs, the celebs.... it was like being in an episode of the only way is Essex but x100,000,000 (no exaggeration!)

Unfortunately i was run of my feet showing Pixie Lott where the toilets were and the like to take any photos, but all i can tell you is that Una Healy from the Saturdays does not look preggers but is a babe. Cher Loyd is a midget, and a babe, and all the cast of Made in Chelsea are babes.

(OK, enough name dropping)

Now go check out Rosemary MacCabe's Fash Blog as she will give you the real Fashion Week insight!

..or here on Grazia

on here on the Guardian Blog

apologies for no pics but i'm distracted watching Made in Chelsea!

counting sheep

2011-09-15T21:10:00.001+01:00

Five subtle hints to suggest you are not getting enough sleep..

you wake up after a short 'apres-work nap' assuming that the clock saying 7:00 means its time to get ready for work. (You know you're really really tired if you actually get in the car and head to the office). STOP its 7pm, there's still time to watch online telly and eat toast.
skipping meals/bathroom breaks - because that would be too much effort
seeing sheep - check your surroundings, are you on a farm? NO? Ok you're now so tired you're visualizing those sheep you used to count
sending long and detailed descriptions of toilet facilities to the wrong person, or just any old email to the wrong person
getting into the shower with your socks still on

These are some or all things that I may have experienced, enjoy the below images while I go to bed.

too tired to put pants on is also a telling sign

all photos from Google*

*you would not believe how many photos of sleeping babies, kittens or puppy's there are on google, you should thank me for sparing you.

Festivals forever

2011-09-11T22:48:00.002+01:00

I am currently mourning the summer festivals. I did quiet well this year and attended Sea Sessions in Bundoran, which was wet, Oxegen for the day and saw Beyonce who was preggers and we didnt know, Castlepalooza and of course my favorite Electric Picnic. I cant think of one highlight, but sitting inside listening to the rain this evening does make me wish i was in a field with glowsticks, running to a tent to see a band.
All in all Irish summers are just fine by me so quit you're whining and get you 2012 tickets!
here are some of my fave outfits all stolen from facebook pics..

..until 2012

for next year i hope we have more feathers and turbans, as modeled here by my friend Aisling

i predict we'll be sporting the turban by next year (fingers crossed)

Have a little listen here on a Wednesday

2011-08-24T23:47:00.001+01:00

now have a listen to this, i like it..

This suits my mood right now, things are afoot..
