The eighth annual John DeBella Turkey Drop takes place, Tuesday, November 24th at various locations in the area.  DeBella and members of the WMGK on-air staff will be collecting turkeys or monetary donations at Love Park at 16th and JFK and several Genuardi’s locations from 6-10 a.m. that day.

Comcast SportsNet apologized for a curse word going over the air at the end of the Villanova-Richmond football game Saturday.

According to accounts, at the end of the close game, someone was heard saying “Come on, let’s end this f-ing game already.”

Comcast SportsNet said, “During Comcast SportsNet’s coverage of the Richmond-Villanova college football game on Saturday, our audio signal inadvertently picked up an off-color remark.  We apologize to our viewers and the teams and will take approrpriate disciplinary action to ensure this does not reoccur.”

Fox29 personalities Thomas Drayton and Sean Tobin showed their lack of baseball knowledge during Monday’s pregame show when Drayton said that Cliff Lee’s postseason ERA was “5-4″ instead of “zero-point-five-four” and Tobin asked fans how many “points” the Phillies would win by.  Let’s score that an error for the station.
