Infobae&lt;/div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;El  agujero negro, que se calcula que tiene unos 30 años, podría ayudar a  que los científicos entiendan mejor cómo explotan las estrellas  gigantes, cuáles dejarán atrás agujeros negros o estrellas neutrónicas y  el número de agujeros negros en nuestra galaxia y en otras.&lt;br /&gt;
El  objeto es lo que queda de la SN 1979C, una supernova en la galaxia M100,  a aproximadamente 50 millones de años luz de la Tierra.&lt;br /&gt;
Los datos  del “Chandra”, del satélite Swift de la NASA, del XMM-Newton de la  Agencia Espacial Europea y del observatorio ROSAT de Alemania, revelaron  una fuente brillante de rayos X que se ha mantenido estable durante las  observaciones entre 1995 y 2007.&lt;br /&gt;
Esto indica a los científicos  que se trata de un agujero negro alimentado por el material que cae en  él desde la supernova o una compañera binaria.&lt;br /&gt;
“Si nuestra  interpretación es correcta, este es el ejemplo más cercano en el cual se  ha observado el nacimiento de un agujero negro”, dijo Daniel Patnaude,  del Centro Harvard-Smithsonian para Astrofísica, en Cambridge  (Massachusetts).&lt;br /&gt;
Los científicos creen que el SN 1979C,  descubierto originalmente por un astrónomo aficionado en 1979, en la  Messier 100, una galaxia en espiral en la constelación de Coma  Berenices, se formó cuando colapsó una estrella 20 veces más grande que  el Sol.&lt;br /&gt;
En el pasado se han detectado muchos agujeros negros en el  universo distante en forma de chorros de rayos gamma. Pero el SN 1979C  es diferente porque está mucho más cerca y pertenece a una clase de  supernovas que no aparece asociada con un chorro de rayos gamma.&lt;br /&gt;
Los  científicos creen que la mayoría de los agujeros negros en el universo  debería formarse cuando colapsa el núcleo de una estrella y no se  produce un chorro de rayos gamma.&lt;br /&gt;
“Esta puede ser la primera vez  que se ha observado la forma común en que se hace un agujero negro”,  dijo Abraham Loeb, también del centro de astrofísica en Cambridge.&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;/div&gt;Venimos de la nada. De un universo que lo contenía todo, y  que se crea a sí mismo continuamente, sin la intervención de un Dios. Y  la filosofía ha muerto. Estas son algunas de las conclusiones de Stephen  Hawking en su último y polémico libro &lt;i&gt;El gran diseño&lt;/i&gt; (Crítica)  que ha escrito junto al científico Leonard Mlodinov. Aseguran que el  Big-Bang es una consecuencia inevitable de las leyes de la física y no  de ninguna mente superior. Un asomo a dichas teorías lo ofrece hoy  Babelia, en esta edición de ELPAIS.com, al avanzar del primer capítulo  cómo el Big-Bang contiene las claves de todas las teorías desarrolladas  de este esperado ensayo. &lt;/div&gt;&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="info_complementa"&gt;             &lt;/div&gt;El nuevo libro del científico británico llega ocho años después de su anterior éxito: &lt;i&gt;El universo en una cáscara de nuez&lt;/i&gt;  (Crítica). El astrofísico escribe ahora que "dado que existe una ley  como la de la gravedad, el Universo pudo crearse a sí mismo -y de hecho  lo hizo- de la nada. La creación espontánea es la razón de que exista  algo, de que exista el Universo, de que nosotros existamos. Para eso no  es necesario invocar a Dios".&lt;br /&gt;
El profesor de Cambridge y autor de &lt;i&gt;Breve historia del tiempo&lt;/i&gt;  socava argumentos creacionistas. Afirma que el universo no sólo tiene  una historia posible. Ante las preguntas que el ser humano alguna vez se  plantea, como ¿cuál es la naturaleza de la realidad? O ¿de dónde viene  todo lo que nos rodea? Hawking asegura contundente que la filosofía ha  muerto porque "no se ha mantenido al corriente de los desarrollos  modernos de la ciencia, en particular de la física. Los científicos se  han convertido en los portadores de la antorcha del descubrimiento en  nuestra búsqueda del conocimiento. El objetivo de este libro es  proporcionar las respuestas sugeridas por los descubrimientos y los  progresos teóricos recientes".&lt;br /&gt;
En ello juega un papel fundamental  la que parece ser una teoría definitiva que acabe con el rosario de  preguntas una vez que se da respuesta a una de ellas. Es la Teoría M,  que "no es una teoría en el sentido habitual del término, sino toda una  familia de teorías distintas, cada una de las cuales proporciona una  buena descripción de las observaciones pero solo en un cierto dominio de  situaciones físicas".&lt;br /&gt;
Según esa teoría M, nuestro universo no es  único, sino que hay muchísimos universos más que no requirieron de la  intervención de ningún Dios o Ser Sobrenatural. Y entra en juego las  teorías de espacio-tiempo: "Cada universo tiene muchas historias  posibles y muchos estados posibles en instantes posteriores, es decir,  en instantes como el actual, transcurrido mucho tiempo desde su  creación. La mayoría de tales estados será muy diferente del universo  que observamos y resultará inadecuada para la existencia de cualquier  forma de vida. Sólo unos pocos de ellos permitirían la existencia de  criaturas como nosotros. Así pues, nuestra presencia selecciona de este  vasto conjunto solo aquellos universos que son compatibles con nuestra  existencia. Aunque somos pequeños e insignificantes a escala cósmica,  ellos nos hace en un cierto sentido señores de la creación".&lt;br /&gt;
Hacia  el final del libro Hawking y Mlodinov reconocen que las leyes de la  naturaleza nos dicen cómo se comporta el universo pero no responde a las  preguntas de por qué: ¿por qué hay algo en lugar de no haber nada? O  ¿por qué existimos?. Y como saben que la respuesta de muchas personas  puede ser un Dios que decidió crear todo, afirman que eso desviaría la  pregunta a qué o quién creó a Dios. Es decir, volvemos a la pregunta  eterna. Los científicos recuerdan, entonces, que nuestras respuestas  obedecen o están limitadas por nuestra capacidad cerebral. Nearly 10% of all rocks blasted off into space from the Red Planet end  up crashing into Earth.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
This natural "interplanetary  transportation system" begs a fascinating question: If primitive and  nearly indestructible micro-organisms exist on a given planet, must they  by definition as a natural act or nature, travel to their immediate  solar-system neighbors?&lt;br /&gt;
Scientists think it's possible that one or more of those rocks might  have contained tiny microbes that successfully made the journey from one  planet to the other. In 2018, they plan to test this hypothesis by  searching for Earthling-like DNA under Mars' surface.&lt;/div&gt;&lt;div class="entry-more-link"&gt;&lt;a
