MAUNDY THURSDAY DINNER AND COMMUNION, APRIL 17: The Deacons will serve a sacrificial meal of soup and oranges from 6:15 – 7:00 in Koopmans Hall. The beautiful, candlelit service (7:00 p.m.) features communion served at tables in the sanctuary, music by the choir and a brief message by Doug Given.

GOOD FRIDAY COMMUNITY SERVICE, APRIL 18 , 5:30-6:30 PM: Special music and prayers at the foot of the cross. Darren Pollock’s brief message will help us understand Christ’s suffering and death in the light of our own struggle to be faithful. At the conclusion of our wor- ship service we will hold a vigil in front of the sanctuary doors. Every hour from 6:30 – 11:30 p.m. a different group from the church will welcome visitors. Prayers will be offered every thirty minutes (on the hour and half hour). Please join us and bring along a friend.

EASTER CELEBRATION, APRIL 20, 9:00 AND 11:00AM: At the contemporary service (9:00 a.m.), the full band will help us celebrate New Life in Christ with fresh new songs. The classic/blended service (11:00 a.m.) will feature stirring music by the Cathedral Bells and Cathedral Choir. Lee Cook will present the message.

One Service Sunday, October 6th 10:00 am On Sunday, October 6th we will meet as one service at 10:00 am due to the all-church retreat. Children 1st -6th grade will stay in the sancturary however there will be nursery and Sunday School for children kindergarten and younger. Special guest preacher Jim Milley will be offering the message. Communion will be served.

Preventing Teen Suicide by Steve Stewart

On Wednesday, September 4^th at 6:30 pm, La Crescenta Presbyterian Church will be presenting a special seminar called “Preventing Teen Suicide” led by notable author/lecturer Steve Stewart. Mr. Stewart has been speaking on the subject of teen suicide for over 30 years and has delivered over 3,000 speeches encompassing 48 states, Canada, Mexico and Europe. Teen suicide is the 10^th most common cause of death among people age 5-24 and the 11^th most common among all Americans. Steve and his wife lost their 19 year old son Travis to suicide and ever since have made it their mission to help prevent the tragic loss of our young adults.
