Good Morning!  Welcome back to the inspiration blog!  Today we are playing with some product from the latest release to make this fun outdoorsy card.

I started with an A2 white card panel and stamped the tree images that I chose to use. I stamped them fully in Olive Branch ink, then stamped with Evergreen just around the edges. I finished by stamping a third time, the trunks inked up with Iced Tea. This creates multi-dimensional images. Die cut all the trees and lay them aside. 

Next, I ink blended another A2 white card panel with Olive Branch on the lower half and Swimming Hole on the top half. I then stamped the details in the grassy area in Olive Branch to add a little interest.  

I cut the card panel down to 4.00 x 5.25” and laid out the trees for arrangement, but before adhering, I added some green bushes stamped in Evergreen in between trees. I then adhered the trees using foam squares for dimension.  

Next, I stamped the sentiments, from the Adventure Awaits stamp set, in Raven Ink.  To finish off the card, I stamped foot prints from the same stamp set, in Iced Tea Ink.  

I mounted the card panel to an A2 sized Kraft card base.

I think this card is SO fun!!!  Tell me what you would add??!!

I started cutting a panel from lilac cardstock and I stamped images and words from the "Haunted Collage" stamp set randomly in different shades of purple.

I darkened edges with purple and black water reactive ink, I splattered with tone on tone inks and white and gold acrylic paints and I set it aside.

I then cut a smaller panel from white cardstock and I used one of the dies from the "Offset Slimline Stackables" set and I used it to cut the panel in a half.

I stamped some images from the super cute "Halloween Party" stamp set, I solored them with alcohol markers and I cut them with coordinating dies.

I put everything together using a mix of liquid glue and foam tape and I stamped the sentiment from the "Halloween Party"stamp set on the white panel.

That's all.

My idea for this card is to create something simple!  The image is so beautiful that it doesn't really need anything else!  I created the colorful "arch" background by using the Arches Spotlight Stencil and combining two of my favorite hybrid inks: Banana Cream Pie and Little Boy Blue!  

After ink-blending, I used the Stitched Scallop dies to die-cut the background and another blue cardstock!  Both are adhered to a 4 x 5 1/4 card base, with the focal point foam-mounted for more dimension!  I also foam-mounted the cute image and adhered a few yellow stars using the Starry Sky Border Die for added interest.

Lastly, I stamped the sentiment using the About Birthday Collage 4x6 Stamp Set!  This is such a simple card, but I really love how it turned out!  Every time I create projects, I like to mix and match old and new products to create cute designs.

To start this card I trimmed  an A2 panel of light blue cardstock with my paper trimmer. Then ran it thorough my die cutting machine with the Quilted Plaid A2 Coverplate Die to add some texture. I used this panel as the background to my flat shaker card.

When making a flat shaker card,  I reccomend using a lightweight acetate sheet like the packaging that stamps and dies come in. This material is strong but is thin and flexible enough that it can folded easily (plus you are recycling too). You begin by trimming your acetate so that it is slightly larger than your A2 panel. I like to ensure there is roughly 1/4 inch extra on all 4 sides.

The textured background panel was placed face down in the centre of the acetate panel. Then I folded the bottom, left and right edges of the actate over the background and secured them in place with double sided tape.  This creates a pocket that you can add sequins and confetti as your shaker fill. Once I'd added my shaker bits, I secured the top edge of the acetate to seal the flat shaker. Then I spent the next 5 minutes shaking it around lol!I added the completed flat shaker panel to a card base with more double sided tape and set it aside. 

Next a added a sheet of double sided tape to a dark blue panel of cardstock then die cut it with the Hexagons A2 Coverplate. Once cut I removed the release paper and adhered it to the front of the flat shaker.

I stamped and die cut a sentiment from the Special Occassions Stamp Set with Dark Wash Hybrid Ink, stacked it with another layer and adhered it to the centre of the card with double sided tape.The focal image of the card is one of the cute little bunnies from the Party Time Trails Stamp set that I coloured with alcohol markers and cut with the co-ordinating die. Once again I stacked it with a second layer and adhered it to the cardfront in the bottom left corner to complete my card.

Today, I am sharing with you a floral vintage round card I made with various LDRS Creative products.

I used :

-Floral Sketch 5x7 Stamps

-Pinpoint Circles Dies

-Hand Torn Circles Dies

-Texturize It II 4x6 Stamps

First, I used a 4" (10 cm) circle from the Hand Torn Circles Dies onto white marker-friendly cardstock.

Then, I stamped flowers and a sentiment from the Floral Sketch 5x7 Stamps on it with black ink.

I colored the images with my markers.

Afterward, I slightly inked the borders of my circle with brown ink. Then, I stamped elements from the Texturize set on it with brown ink (the specific set is not available right now, but a similar version is: the Texturize It II 4x6 Stamps).

Finally, I matted and layered my card with a slightly bigger brown circle cut with the Pinpoint Circles Dies.

Et voilà !

Hello and welcome back to the LDRS Inspiration Blog.  Summer is about slowing down and enjoying the beach right?  This fuzzy wuzzy guy thinks that's what it's all about!  He's ready to ride the waves!!

This card is an A2 top folding card on a white card base.  To make the card panel, I started with an A2 white panel and did a little ink blending to create a background.  

I started blending the bottom of the card first with Swimming Hole ink.  I then tore a piece of post-it tape to create a sand edge and blended with Iced Tea ink.  Once the base layer is down, I removed the tape and blended the edges together and then added Snowy White ink on top to smear the water edge a bit.  I added Dark Wash Jeans ink around the edges of the card for some added color on the water.  Then I added Marina Madness in spots throughout the middle of the water to give the water a little depth and movement.

Next, I blended a little Coffee Bean into the sand to give dimension.  I added dots throughout the sand with a brown marker.  For the sky, I started by blending the top corner with Banana Cream Pie ink to mimic sun rays.  I then blended Little Boy Blue over the remaining sky and then added some dimension by blending in a little Swimming Hole.  To finish off the ink blending, I added Snowy White with dabs to make whispy clouds and soften the look of the sun.

Now that the background is done, I die cut the panel using the Hand Torn Rectangles Dies.  This is my most used die set!!  Now we are ready to add our focal images.

I stamped the Fuzzy Wuzzy image directly onto the card stock in Key Lime Pie.  The images I used are from the Fuzzy Wuzzies Beach Bum stamp & die set.  I started with the Body, then added the arms, then stamped the feet with In Your Face Orange.  I also added a little Olive Branch ink  around the edges of the body of Fuzzy. I die cut the fish, the surf board, the eyes, the beach ball, the swim trunks, and the goggles using the included dies.  I stamped all the die cuts using  Raven ink, except the beach ball is stamped with In Your Face Orange.  I added a little alcohol ink color to some of the die cuts and white highlights to the fish and swim trunks.

To finish off, I adhered all the die cuts using liquid glue and added a little glossy accents to the goggles.  I stamped one of the included sentiments using Raven ink.  Looking back, I wish I would have stamped the sentiment in the water to offer better balance to the card.  That is the fun of card making...there is no right way or wrong way to make a card.  It's trial & error and taking risks to stretch your creativity.

I woud love to hear what you would do differently with this card.  There are so many options and the stamp set comes with such cute accessories!

I started cutting a panel from a soft pink cardstock and I embossed it with the "Perfect Petals" 3D embossing folder.

I die cut a white panel and a pink glittered frame with the second largest die from the "Scored Arched Rectangle" die set and I ink blended the center of the white panel with a soft pistachio green ink.

I glued the white panel and the pink frame over the embossed panel and I let it dry.

I then stamped one of the adorable critters from the "Party Time Tails" stamp set, I colored it with alcohol markers and I cut it with coordinating dies.

I heat embossed in white one of the sentiment from the "Everyday Vertical Sentiments" stamp set on a strip of black cardstock and I put everything together eith a mix of liquid glue and foam tape.

I added some little flowers that I die cut with the "Petite Petals" die set here and there and that's all.

My inspiration for today's project calls for the upcoming Halloween season!  For my card, I am showcasing the Land & Sky Stencils and Masks, Trees 5x7 Stamp Set, Fuzzy Wuzzy Athletic Supporter Stamp Set and Dies, and the Rolling Hills Die Set.

I wanted to create a vibrant nighttime scene using the Land & Sky Stencils and Masks with some LDRS Creative hybrid inks and ink daubers.  I started with the full moon using Dan-D-Lion hybrid ink.  I then covered the moon with the mask and worked my way to creating the colorful clouds using an LDRS clouds stencil (retired).  If you'd like to recreate this scene, I used Grape Ape, Plum Crazy, In Your Face Orange, and Dan-D-Lion hybrid ink.

I stamped a few trees on the background using the Trees 5x7 Stamp Set and adhered the rolling hills using the Rolling Hills Die Set. 

I matted the colorful background using some green cardstock and adhered the same to a black card base.  Since I still have some leftover die-cuts from my previous card projects, I foam-mounted the cute little monster from the Fuzzy Wuzzy Athletic Supporter Die.

I finished the card design by adhering the big-word "Trick or Treat" sentiment, which was die-cut using a retired Large Word Halloween die.  You can use any Halloween stamps or dies to replace the one I had on this card.

To start this card, I cut down a piece of smooth white cardstock to 5 1/2 by 4 1/4 inches into a card panel. Then I trimmed some masking paper from my stash into four 3/4 inch strips. I used the masking paper to mask off all four sides of the card panel.

Once the panel was masked off, I used the the mask for the medium sized moon from the Land & Sky Stencils & masks and placed it in the upper right hand side of the card panel, allowing it to bleed off into the masked off borders. I also taped one of the rolling hills stencils onto the panel to seperate the sky from the ground. Then I lightly ink blended some Banana Cream Pie Ink around the edges of the moon mask fading it out to white. A top tip to avoid unwanted blothes or smears in your ink blending, is to start blending on the mask then gradually blend off the edge of the mask and onto your card panel. 

Next, I ink blended some La La Lavender ink and slightly overlapped it with the yellow ink. This creates a stunning glow around the moon. To finish off the night sky I ink blended Stone washed Jeans, Dark Wash Jeans and Raven Ink fading the colours from light to dark from right to left. Before removing the moon and rolling hills stencils I splattered on some white acrylic paint to add some stars to the night sky and set it aside to dry. When the splatter was dry I replaced the moon mask with the coordinating stencil and lighly ink blended the moon with Banana Cream Pie Ink, then added the details with some Dan D Lion Ink.

When I'd finished with the sky I moved onto the meadow and Ink blended a combination of Four Leaf and Evergreen Inks using the rolling hills ans grassy fields stencils. Then without re-inking my black blending brush I lightly blended on some Raven Ink to darken the meadow to give it a more nighttime feel. 

Once I'd completed the ink blended background scene I stamped 3 of the trees from the Trees stamp set in Raven Ink to create some silhouette trees. I used the same ink to stamp a sentiment from the Great Outdoors Stamp Set above the tree line. At this point the card kinda looks like a hot mess, because the edges of the card have all of your messy ink blending! So my favourite part is peeling back the masking tape to reveal your completed scene!

The main focal Image on the card is the largest deer from the Forrest Animals stamp set, I stamped, die cut then coloured it with alcohol markers. I stacked the image onto 2 plain white die cuts to add some extra stability and popped it up on the card front with foam tape for added dimension. The last step was to add the card panel to a card base to finish the card. 

I'm so pleased with the final result, the glow of the moon and silhouette trees really set the scene!

Good morning and welcome back to the inspiration blog.  I have a fun vintage birthday card this morning.  I used the Party Time Tails Stamps & Dies, which have so many cute vintage style images in a party theme.  I just love this little yellow kitty.

I started by stamping the chosen image on an A2 while panel, and colored with alcohol markers.  I die cut the colored image using the coordinating die.

Next, I used the Hand Torn Rectangle die set and die cut a piece of masking paper using one of the middle dies in the set.

I'm using this piece of masking paper to mask the center of the card panel so I can blend ink around the edges.

I'm using two colors of ink for the blending.  The top of the card is blended using Fairie Dust hybrid ink and the bottom of the card is blended with Parisian Purple with a very light hand.  It's a subtle difference, but I like the ombre effect.

Next, I cut the card panel down to 4" x 5.25", then embossed using the Perfect Petals 3D Embossing Folder.  This adds texture and some visual interest to an otherwise simple card panel.

I adhered the card panel to an A2 wisteria cardstock base.  I next added the diecut image using thin foam tape and just a little off center.  The sentiment is heat embossed Raven Ink and it's from the A to Z Sentiments stamp set.  I love this stamp set because the sentiments are lower case, which I think is so fun, and the font is beautiful.  This sentiment also allows the card to be used for any special occasion!  You can customize the inside sentiment for whatever special day is warranted.

To finish off the card, I tucked the sentiment strip up under the kitty's feet so it appears she's standing on it.  It gives the stamped image an anchor.  I adhered it with liquid adhesive to allow maneuverability.  Lastly, I added a splash of sequins for some shine and a little glimmer pen to the party hat and the balloon.

I hope you love the vintage look of this little party kitty.  She's so sweet.  Here's hoping you get a little time to be crafty today!

I started stampin one of the beautiful flowers from the "Floral Sketch" stamp set on a white panel.

I then used the "Floral Sketch" masking stencils to color it with rainbow color water reactive inks.

I darkened edges with tea brown ink, I added a bit of texture applying the same color through the bubble stencil from the "Pattern Backgrond" kit and I stamped in black a sentiment from the "Floral Sketch" stamp set.

I splattered with clean water, tone on tone ink and white and gold acrylic paints and that's all.

My main idea with these cards is to use some leftover scraps from my stash, instead of throwing them away.  Just because some of your dies have been discontinued, you can still use them to create beautiful projects!

I searched my LDRS Creative Die Collection and found a lot of colorful die-cuts to make the background for my little Fuzzy Wuzzies!  The first card below contained die-cuts using the Postage Collage Die.  I foam-mounted the 3 rectangles onto the background to create a vignette. 

Next, I die-cut a few little Wuzzies, using the Fuzzy Wuzzies Athletic Supporter Dies.  Since the Wuzzies are quite small, I used a lot of my scrap cardstock to create 3 Fuzzy Wuzzies.  The first green Wuzzy was foam-mounted to the card for added dimension and embellished with yellow stars!

The sentiments from both cards are embossed on black cardstock using the Snarky Best Friends Stamp Set.  Die-cutting these sentiments has been easy-peasy using the Sentiment Stack Coordinating Die.  I have to admit that these stamps and coordinating dies have been one of my absolute favorites!  It's so easy to stamp and die-cut, creating a bunch of sentiments for future card projects!

For the second card, I adhered the 1/2" Background strips with the Zig-Zag Strip with glue.  I foam-mounted two Fuzzy Wuzzies for added dimension and finished the design by also foam-mounting the sentiment strip.  

The Fuzzy Wuzzies Athletic Supporter Stamp & Dies is a great addition to your collection.

So I began by cutting a piece of light blue cardstock down to 4 1/4 x 5 1/2 inches.

Then I used the Land & Sky Stencils and various hybrid inks to create a cute background with a bright sun, soft fluffy clouds and lush green grass.

Next I stamped a sentiment from the Macarons Stamps onto the background in Raven Ink. Then set the panel aside to allow the ink to dry.

I stamped some of the cute critters from the Party Time Tails stamp set and coloured them in with alcohol markers. Once I'd finished colouring, I die cut the images out with the coordinating dies. I also cut an extra set from plain white cardstock and stacked them behind the coloured images to add some extra stability to the die cuts. Something I love doing to images like these is adding extra dots and highlights with a white gel pen. I find it adds much more interest and detail when I do.

When the background was dry I used a ruler and craft knife to cut out a channel in the panel. I made sure to keep the cut out as I knew I wanted to inlay it back in when assembling the card.

Next I die cut 2 of the smallest circles in the Pinpoint Circle die set from heavy weight white cardstock and placed it behind the channel I'd cut in the background. Then used 2 foam squares to attach the circles to the back of the cute Fox with her party balloon.

One circle & foam square was attached behind her head and the other behind her body. This was so the image could slide up and down in the channel. If I'd only attached her in one place, the poor fox would have been spinning around and I didn't want her to get dizzy lol!

I applied a double layer of foam tape behind the card panel and adhered it to my card base. The double layer of foam allows the fox to float up and down freely. Then I spent the next 10 minutes just playing with the card!

To finish of the scene I die cute some flowers from watercolour cardstock and painted them with some watercolours before gluing on the centres. Then sprinkled them onto the card.

And there you have it, a fun interactive card with the most adorable fox floating up into the air with her balloon. Why not try this out for yourself.

Distress Background 5x7 Stamp

First, I used my envelope die from the Gift Card Greetings Stamps and Gift Card Scallop Envelope Die onto light kraft cardstock.

For the next part, I advise you to close it.

So I closed my envelope and put it in my stamping platform. I made sure to secure it with low tack tape so it wouldn't open or move during the process.

After that, I stamped the flowers from the Floral Sketch 5x7 Stamps set on it with brown ink. If you are using a platform, be sure to keep your flower stamps on it and your envelope in the same place because you want to stamp your flowers one last time after your stenciling to get a better finish.

After that, I used my coordinate Layering Stencils on it. First, I used Snowy White on all the parts I would color. The kraft cardstock I used was pretty light, so you can skip this step. However, adding a layer of white ink when you are stamping on colored cardstock is a great way to ensure that your colors will still pop without being too faded or lost in the darker colors.

Once my white layer was dry, I applied pink and green inks with my stencils.

The layers of white and pink ink muted the brown lines, so I stamped my flowers on top one last time for a crisper look.

I also stamped my sentiment.

I added a little depth to the borders of my envelope with a marker.

For the base of my card, I used a 3 3/8" x 4.5" (8.6 cm x 11.4 cm) die from the Pinpoint Rectangles Dies onto pink cardstock. Then, I stamped my Distress Background 5x7 Stamp on it with darker pink ink.

I matted and layered my base with a slightly bigger dark brown rectangle.

Finally, I glued my envelope on the base.

Et voilà!

Good morning & welcome back to the LDRS Inspiration Blog.  Today I am making a card for my youngest son using the Fuzzy Wuzzies Athletic Supporter stamp & die set.  This set is part of the new Sweet Escapes release, which has many wonderful new products.

As you can see, there are several sports supported with this new set.  I chose to play with the basketball player today.  Next, I'm going to make a card using the Baseball pieces.  My youngest actually plays college baseball, so I think he will love it.  However, he's also been watching the NBA Finals, so I chose the basketball for today's card.

The inside of the packaging has detailed instructions on how to make each character to give you an idea of where to start.  Then, you can let your imagination fly.

I started this card by masking off 1/3 of the card vertically.  I'm going to ink blend that section with In Your Face Orange hybrid ink.  LDRS Ink blends so smooth and dries back very even making it very forgiving to use.  I love the subtle texture that ink blending gives a card over using a piece of cardstock.

Next up, I stamped the basketball lines on several areas of an orange piece of cardstock and die cut using the circle die included.  I adhered them randomly using liquid adhesive and trimmed the edges that overhung the ink blended area.

I directly stamped the fuzzy wuzzie in the same orange ink and double stamped to make it very opaque.  I added the basketball stripes, arms, & legs in Raven Ink, also double stamped.  I stamped the sentiment in the lower corner in Raven ink also. I love how well LDRS sentiments stamp so cleanly on the first try!!

  I stamped and die cut the eyes in Raven Ink.  I adhered another basketball to his hand using a small foam square.  Then to finish off the card, I die cut 4 stars from orange and navy cardstock for embellishments.  This happens to be the colors of my son's basketball team when he was a little traveling basketball player.  A little nod to the past!  I also happen to love the look of orange and navy together!

Simple & cute are my favorite kinds of cards.  I'm a CAS kind of card maker (clean and simple)!  I hope you've enjoyed this little tutorial and find some time today to get crafty!!

I started cutting a 5,25"x4" panel from white cardstock and I ink blended it in the middle with water reactive inks (light blue/grey for the sky and light green for the grass).

I splattered with clean water, tone on tone inks and white and gold acrylic paints and I set it aside.

I stamped the two bunnies from the "Party Time Tails" stamp set, I colored them with acohol markers and I cut them with coordinating dies.

I stamped the sentiment using the "About BDAY" collage stamp directly on the panel and I put everything together using a mix of liquid glue and foam tape

I added some gold seqins here and there and that's all.

Do you ever have a stack of unfinished card bases in your stash that you kept for a while?  I do, and I always keep them in a plastic bin in my craft room, ready for my next project.  Sometimes the simplest projects are the best to create, turning a ho-hum base into a beautiful card!

I started by stamping the Party Time Tails Stamp Set onto Neenah Solar White cardstock and colored with alcohol markers.  I used the Party Time Tails Coordinating Dies to die-cut the images.  Since I already have a 5x7 card base with an ink-blended background in my stash, I decided to add some texture by splattering it with some white watercolor.

I wanted a big, bold sentiment to match my 5x7 birthday card, so I decided to use the Big Word Birthday Die.  Once the sentiment is adhered to the card, I added the little cute mice and finished the design by stamping some black stars using the aLined Geos Stamp Set.  Here's another look at the finished project:

Welcome back everyone.... Corinne here today and I  wanted to share with you 2 clean and simple cards I created using the new Floral Sketch Stamp set 

What a beautiful Stamps set this is..and I just love the sentiments in this set too..

For my first card I used Raven Hybrid ink and stamped it straight on the card front. Colored with Alcohol markers.. 

added a few enamel dots to finish it off...

Stamped my sentiment across the bottom..

For my second card I used the same Floral Sketch Stamp Set  and my stamp platform and stamped the larger stamp coming in from the left side and the smaller one coming in from the top right side. 

I also colored this one with alcohol markers

I stamped and fussy cut the sentiment using foam tape behind it, and then added a few enamel dots.

I hope you love this release as much as I do..

There are so many fun products in the collection that it was really hard to decide what I wanted to use but I finally settled on the adorabe critters from the Party Time Tails Set.

I began by stamping out all of the images from the Party Time Tails Stamp Set in black ink of white heavy weight cardstock. Then coloured them in with alcohol markers in bright and bold colours. Once I'd finished the colouring added some white highlights with a gel pen and cut out the images with the coordinating die set before setting them aside.

To create the background I cut down a piece of blue distressed cardstock from the Wildwood Paper Pack to 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 inches to use as wallpaper and adhered it to a top folding, landscape card base. For the flooring I cut a strip of woodgrain card stock from the same paper pack and glued it to the bottom of the cardbase. To add defination between the flooring and wallpaper I added a thin strip of white cardstock.

Next, I arranged the coloured critter images onto the card base into a cute party scene and adhered them to the card front. Some images were adhered flat whilst others were popped up on foam squares to create dimension.

I stamped the sentiment  "Have a sweet day" from the Macaron Stamp Set in black Ink onto the background. However I felt that the card was missing something! So I shopped my stash of LDRS Creative products and found the cute puppy image from the Envelope & Postage Collage Stamp Set that I thought looked like a framed picture. I stamped, coloured and fussy cut the image and added it to the wall behind the party guests and it was the perfect addition. I decided not to add any bling as there was already so much going on in this scene and just like that my card was complete.

I cant wait to see what scenes you all create with these gorgeous woodland critters.

Today, I am sharing you fruity tags I made mixing various LDRS products :

Mixed Tag Dies

First, I used the biggest die from the Mixed Tag Dies four times on marker-friendly cardstock.

I stamped part of my Fruit Tree 5x7 Stamps on them with my Raven ink pad.

I colored them with my markers and fussy cut the bottom of two and the top of two.

I cut my tags four more times onto white cardstock. I stamped my Fruit Tree 5x7 Stamps on two of them with green ink and the Distress Background 5x7 Stamp on the other two.

I stamped seals from the Sealed With Comforting Wishes and Sealed With a Kiss sets with yellow ink on white cardstock and cut them with their Coordinating Dies.

I also cut two long green stripes.

I glued my colored elements on the tags with foam pads. I glued a green stripe on each tag and a seal.

I also glued the little green hole reinforcer.

Et voilà !

I love how this card is perfect for birthdays, graduations, and more. My son is a big football fan and is about to move up to middle school, so I made this card for him. I started by stamping and die cutting the football character before creating a simple card design around him. To tie everything together, I used the small football stamp to create a coordinating border that adds just the right amount of detail without overwhelming the focal point.

I kept the color palette limited to brown, white, and blue. My son's favorite color is blue. but you could easily customize this to your own team's colors! I love how this project shows that a simple design can still have plenty of personality. Sometimes all you need is a cute character, a fun sentiment, and a few coordinating colors to create a winning card!

Good morning & welcome back to the LDRS Inspiration Blog.  Today we are creating a Thank You card using the Butterfly Eclipse Dies, About THANKS Collage stamps, and the Hand Torn Rectangle Dies.  I've chose a purple theme for this card, so my main ink is Parisian Purple, but I've also used Raven ink for my sentiment.

I started with the outer Butterfly die and a light purple piece of A2 cardstock.  I used the outer butterfly die to help with layout of my stamped images.  This die set can be used as two individual dies or used together.  

I stamped all the images in Parisian purple, which pops against this card stock.  I then die cut the Butterfly image using both of the dies together.  Be sure to keep all the die cut pieces in place as much as possible.  I used a piece of press & seal to hold them in place, while I put a small line of glue on the back of the little inset pieces.  You can then turn it over onto the darker cardstock and press in place.  This glues all the little pieces perfectly in place, but allows you to remove the outer butterfly image.

I put small, thin foam adhesive on the back of the outer butterfly image to give the butterfly a little dimension, while still allowing you to read all the stamped sentiments.   Next, I die cut the darker purple card panel using the Hand torn rectangle die.

I applied foam tape to the back of the card panel and adhered it on a light purple card base.  Again, this adds a little more dimension & interest to a relatively simple card.  I stamped the sentiment in Raven ink, prior to adhering the card panel.

To finish off the card, I added a few scattered rhinestones for a little sparkle.  It would have been cute to make antennae with the rhinestones as well.  You can see the sentiments are still easy to read, even though I used foam adhesive.  It allows the dark purple to peek through as you turn the card, which adds an interesting element.
