The Air Mogan Team Treated Premium Edition that results from the consultation of the Team 6.0 riders (in 2006 at the Nike House). They wanted unique colors for an exceptional model ! They succeeded :)
Let's note that the back of the heel is inspired by Space Invaders but it's not the real artist co-branding.

So i payed myself this deck for 79€ ( price of most of the US decks at Underground Skateshop) more than a month ago at Underground in Brest, since i've been invaded by the skateboard, I always wanted to test a Shorty's so when i saw one in the shop i went for it...

Unfortunately the brand is not giving any news , the website is still online but hasn't been updated for more than a year ( almost two), probably since Muska left, with also the whole rest of the team if i ain't mistaking...

A few months ago we were talking about a new truck brand that was going to be released on the market. Ace trucks was created with the help of Empire distribution (Fillmore, Force, Diamond...).

The product : Ace Trucks size 22 raw

The blabla : "everything else is dull"

The particularities :
Even younger than Force trucks, Ace is a brand created by Joey Tershay , previous Independent team manager ,that has been thinking about his truck for more than 12 years.
A truck with a very simple shape (the truck doesn't have any hole in the hanger), wich gives a much better resistance.

After a few disappointments i've been encountering in the past few weeks (a flat Stereo, a Rare broken on a front 180 while landing 30 minutes after buying it, an Antiz too large, too flat, too heavy ), destiny has brought a REAL deck into my hands,the Busenitz model from the Patch Holder serie.

Euh...well, destiny .....let's say Nico from the excellent Ballz Out shop at Lyon!!!!. It didn't take long to convince me. Two sentences actually : "yes, REAL, don't you remember Hufnagel in Skate More? ". Indeed, you make a point here...the second one : " fuck, BUSENITZ, dude !!!!" Well, 'nough said, i take it. Jut to remember, REAL, it's that crazy team that gathers those dudes that do tre flip with such speed i won't even try half a ollie. REAL is a bunch of guys that wouldn't last long in a park but that would change your street intro the best spot in the world. Busenitz is that clean and polite dude that your mum would love to marry to your sista , the same guy that is gonna land a switch nose bluntslide big spin out on a ledge (where i wouldn't even try a 50-50).

The Lakai Fully Flared is finally ready !! We were talking about it more than a year and a half ago when Eric koston went to Lakai, there had been many Lakai teasers since then, and finally the première was announced for this tuesday november 20th at Lyon. (For France - as they saw it 2 days ago in the US)

So Dam's and I went to Lyon by car yesterday (11 hours of driving go/back from Paris), accompanied by rom1 and Atmet...the fine team almost complete as Kevin from Hawaii Surf couldn't come :(

Yesterday night was Lakai première at Lyon.
So here is what we saw :

The intro is in slow motion with Koston that goes through a wall, Cairo grinds a curb that blows up , Lucas does a tuck Knee over a spot that explodes..... but when i say it explodes , it's fi real with fire and dust. Also quite many riders fall after their tricks in the intro because of the power of the blow. It's really impressive and wonderful.

The first part is for the young newcomer of the brand Mike Mo Capaldi.
A huge amount of technical tricks in curb with a nollie heel back tail big spin, a switch flip back tail big spin flip.
Wheeling wise he also does a fakie big flip wheeling flip back out. (sequence here)
Some hammer in nollie heel flip front 3 flat 3 flat 3 and the last trick with a fakie frontside crooked fakie tré out....can you imagine : "fakie tré out" ?
For a 18-19 years old kid it's simply the most technical part i've ever seen.

Then it's Anthony Pappalardo that rides with a lot of ollie, and Pole jam.
An original pop shove -it front bs nose grind alley oop shove-it out.
A lot of NYC and a not really oustanding part compared to what is following.

The 6 square set up is the screen divided in 6 with a guy from French co and Royal family in each case. I won't say more but Ty Evans' set up is incredibly complicated.
Let's also precise that JJ rousseau does everything in switch in order for the 5 riders to be in the same direction.

The only spanish dude from the team is named Jesus Fernandez and he's a technical beast. Images of his TWS interview

Fakie hard flip switch crooked
270 flip tail, 270 tail slide flip out
Back smith big spin flip back

An incredible style and some killing of Milano's spot (the one with long Curbs)
An appearance of Daniel Lebron in bs 5-0 heelflip out.

Then it's the Royal Family part's turn with Nick Jensen and Danny Brady.
The first one rides with tight pants and pays a nice nollie cab wheeling and a curious switch nose grind to frontside crooked.

On the other side, we have Danny Brady that rides in a more simple way but attacks superb spots. A huge Crooked pop out to banks in last trick.
Too many english spots in that part.

One of the most awaited part of the video is the part of french prodigy Lucas Puig.
His first trick is a smith grind flip out to primo grind over 4 meters. He didn't do it on purpose that's for sure but it's very funny.
Images of his Heads in Thrasher, his 360 back nose grab in Sicilia, and also 3 crazy tricks in curb : Back smith to nose slide, 5-0 to fs nose slide, back tail 270 flip back...
The best part of the video.

JJ Rousseau continues with more than a dozen tricks (15) such as a nice nose wheeling nollie flip wheeling shove -it front...the rest is a bit boring.

The last one from the French Co is JB Gillet :
Some fast switch heel flip front and a alley oop shove-it front 5-0 to shove-it front in line and his last Cliché commercials in images.It's technical and stylish but Lucas is even more impressive.
A super music for that part.

Hats off to the french Co...

Known for long, Cairo Foster disappointed me with too many nose grind , fs nose slide and 50-50 over handrail.A unique style but no extraordinary trick .Images of his Thrasher interview.
Some good old rock for that part; it flows nicely.

Jeff lenoce rides 1min 30 and doesn't release his nose with some nollie 180 back, nollie heel and nollie nose slide... he's strong but it's a bit boring compared to Lucas and Mike Mo
Scott Johnston designs Lakai's today and has no more time neither the energy left to ride. He has 40 sec and then we go to the next rider.
Next one is Rob Welsh who, after the Free Your mind, once again pushes the limits of technicity with a cab fakie wheeling , nose slide to back lip on a round curb and a bs pivot shove -it front to bs nose grind to fakie in curb (that's some complicated tricks !)
Some killer Us music on that part

One of the latest newcomer in the team is Alex Olson,Steve's son who is very pissed off when he doesn't land his tricks. A much more simple skateboard than the others but an incredible pop with a 360 front over Parrallel's benches in line, many handrails and some amazing spots.

One of Lakai's founders is Rick Howard. With some hard rock in the background he pays some superb flips , a nice lipslide flip out , boardslide to feeble handrail and a stylish fakie 5-0 fakie wheeling fakie flip out.

The second boss and brand's founder is Mike Carroll (who was at the première) that blows a photograph's head off from the start.
A superb flip front hurricane in line , 270 tail slide 270 out. HOT !!!
some switch big spin coming from everywhere (that's his specialty ) with even a switch big spin tail slide at Lyon.
An incredible mastery of the back smith with back smith flip back and back smith 360 shove-it.
He sessions a lot on unknown spots.So good.

We weren't really expecting him but he really amazed me. Biebel 's technicity is incredible with some nollie heel back switch wheeling revert front, same in switch heel front....and a last trick that calmed the whole room down : nose wheeling nollie flip 8 stairs.
Wow !

He left éS a year and a half ago , Koston was very awaited for that video and doesn't disappoint anyone with one of the most technical part of the video. Let's note 2 or 3 lines wearing Accels
A superb music and some totally new tricks .....
Fakie hurricaine 360 out, fakie 5-0 alley oop half cab flip out, nollie 180 front switch hurricaine revert and his switch big spin bluntside on a handrail.
I loved it !!!

A true living legend since the Mouse video, Guy Mariano makes his succeeded comeback. He announces cash what he's all about with some heavy switch pop shove-it front bs nose grind fakie heel flip but that's only the beginning. Cab flip in curb and some new shit with fakie ollie sex change wheeling revert and the same in 5-0...can you imagine? Fucking complicated trick !
Many tricks to switch crooked and an avalanche of lipslides such as lipslide 270 out on the curb that turns 180 degrees.
A huge nosebluntslide on 4 meters came out nollie heel flip varial. Is that even possible? now it is!
and the last two tricks in handrail are simply amazing.
Switch trè lipslide and 270 back tailslide.

The last part goes to the one that had the more footage : Marc johnson
His part is divided in 3

The first one is all about curb : Grind back foot flip out, frontside boardslide to frontsde nose slide in Milano
The second one is about the news with two tricks in one : nose wheeling to switch wheeling switch flip back out, backside nose grind to back tail, lipslide to front boardslide, bluntslide Tré flip out and a curious pole jam boardslide to fakie to finish.
Finally some hammer for the third part with many falls in the middle of this avalanche of crazy tricks . Alley Oop cab boardslide to fakie (rail) , nollie 540 back on a tilted plan and finally switch nose bluntslide to backside nosebluntslide for the last trick of the video.

An incredibly beautiful filming. The part's introductions are simply wonderful. Maybe too few Guest riders.
Some special effects in the introduction and in the middle of the parts like with Biebel's arm that inflates, Koston's eyes that throws lazer rays when he's pissed and Marc Johnson that breaks into pieces when he misses a trick.
