My name is Rodney Coleman. I've been marketing online for 8 years now or should I say trying to make money online for 8 years now. I've seen many programs and people fail online because of all the hype that it generated from all the money making programs out there.

There are legitimate ways to make money online but there are more programs out there with the only thing they want to accomplish is take your money!

I've learned through many mistakes that in order to make a substantial income online you have to market yourself first. It doesn't matter what program or product you want to promote, if no one knows who you are or what you are about, then why would anyone want to give you their hard earned cash.

Everyone wants or needs extra money for different reasons. Most need to supplement their income to pay bills or just provide better things for their family. This is were people start to fail. They are so desperate to make money that they fall for all the hype of the next greatest program that will make them a millionaire over night! It just doesn't happen this way!

There is no "Get Rich Quick Plan"!!! If you want to be a success and make money online then promote YOU first. Don't worry about programs or products or income plans!

I've learned in the past year that social network sites like MySpace, Facebook, Squidoo...etc. are the easiest way to promote YOU. But you need to start slow.
