Here are two images of the latest bout of “Ink” from Noel….at “Ink Tattoo” in Palmerston North. Now not only is he a great Tattooist…….He’s also a great Guy. When I head there for some work, I just know I’m in for a real entertaining time. Which, really is a huge part of going to see him…..Hey Thanx Noel…you know I’ll be back!!

Howdy….just an update of some events that I’ll be at during the next year. First up is the “All American Car” day. This is held at the Trentham racecourse on Feb 5th (Sunday). It is a really great day. There are some great vehicles both of the two wheel and four wheel kind, that roll in for this. The Trade stands are great as well…….Guess I have to say that, as I’m one!! But in all seriousness it is a great day.

Then there is the “Wairarapa Summer Rally” This is a Bike rally that is being held at Clarkes Domain, Mauriceville, Masterton…Wairarapa. 17th to 19th Feb.

Live bands/Games/Displays/Competetions/Bar avaliable/Camping on site/

Limited car parking.

No Patches/Glass/Dogs/Attitudes/Eftpos.

I’m booked in for the Tattoo show at New Plymouth, which is held in November. More on this as we get on into the year.

Toby’s New School Bag

I make a new school bag for each of the Grand Children, for them to start school with. Ethins is Lime Green….the colour he chose. Lily’s is the white one, with the gold and silver stars….she chose that colour way herself as well. This one is for Toby, he wanted Orange….but I went on a bit of an angle with it. I made it out of Orange/Tan Croc print and mad dog brown.. I think it worked okay though.

Face Book

Howdy….Well I have relented a weee bit and am working on developing a Business/web connected face book. For me not being coming from the techno era, it’ll take a bit of fine tuning. Bear with me a bit and I’ll get it sorted. I’m sure it’ll be helpful and fun, when it is sorted and running properly. The interaction will also be great, and I’m hoping will be interesting….. so as they use to say “stay tuned to this station”

Oooooops!! Well here and now I have to say I made a mistake……the build in the following Posts….Is actually a Road King and not a Fat Boy as I stated. I hope calling it a Fat Boy didn’t upset anyone, sorry about that!!

Well the previous posting is some images of a build that was created by Darcy. Darcy, does his thing under the banner of ECM. As you can see he builds and creates some real hot rides. One of these won seveal awards at the National Motorbike Expo in New Plymouth this year. His web site is well worth a look at. You can find a link on mine. We have started to do some work together, which I think is great…..as we kind of think along the same way!! The other great thing from my point of view, is that he is sourcing a new speedo, and mirrors for my bike. Which in turn will make my own build move on a wee bit furthertoward being done. Well I say that……but probably won’t ever stop changing, fine tuning and or altering things…..but hey it’s fun and that’s what its all about….having fun!!

Fat Boy Build by ECM

Here are some pics of a build done by ECM (East Coast Motorcycles) in Warkworth. They did the build…..and I did my bit with the seat and back panel. The brief was to make the seat look like an old seat that had been around the world a few times!!! Started with a completely different colour leather, that I aged…then built the seat and covered the rear panel with the resulting leather. It appears as though the owner was wrapped in the results…and thats what makes me wrapped as well!!

Palmerston North Hot Rod Club Swap Meet/Show

Well over this last weekend was the Palmerston North Hot Rod Club Swap meet and Show…..this is held Annually at the Manfield Raceway in Fielding. You know once again it was a great show with great people….and great Vehicles on show, and some for sale….the swap meet, side of the event was by all accounts great as well. But unfortunately I don’t get outside to see much of that. This show is one of the best run, and most popular shows we go to. The Venue is just superb…it’s like it’s been purpose built for this show. The set up and layout of the show worked a treat as it always does. One of the things that impresses me the most, is the ease as to which it is deal with the organisers. They really seem to work in well with us , the “Trade Stall” holders…nothing seems to be a problem. Hey it may well be, but they just seem to sort it…so on the face of it….things run smoothly. They also really seem to appreciate having us there. So here and now I thank them for the opportunity to be there, and to be a part of their show…..and if they aggree we’ll sponsor the best open top in show next year!!
