LeatherneckM31 is on the road again… this time for the somber duty of helping carry one of my good friends to his final rest.

Darrel passed away suddenly after a remarkable battle with complications of H1N1.

He was a great American who couldn't have been more patriotic if he’s served in uniform.

More about Darrel another time.

Today was a non-stop moving experience for me. I spoke at the traveling Vietnam Veterans Memorial “Wall” in Childress when I had the privilege of meeting Gold Star parents who lost their sons in the last year.

It is difficult to see that star lapel pin and find it incomprehensible how they are able to go on.

I rewrote a lot of my speech after the shootings at Fort Hood; I’ve been as angry as I can remember being in the last several years because it is this simple:

Fifty-four soldiers were shot and 13 died because a diversity-deluded, politically-correct United States Army allowed a committed terrorist into its midst and refused to arrest and prosecute him, despite a wall of evidence of his traitorous behavior…. because he was a Muslim.

So it has come to this…. we are so cowed by our government that we don’t even bother to avenge our dead sons and daughters when our own government allows them to die.

Anyway… I had requests tonight for the speech which I offer here, rather than sending it separately to those who have requested it.

And…

so it came to pass on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month the guns fell silent.

In honor of the and of the Great War and to recognize our nation's veterans, we have gathered this evening; I'd like us to keep our youngest veterans foremost in our minds for the next few minutes.

Americans are a caring people who zealously guard and protect our children until that day they volunteer to protect us. The strongest Americans protect the weak, the capable protect the incompetent, the young protect the old and the brave and willing even protect those unworthy of their sacrifice.

Today I assure you that America's best and brightest can be found in Afghanistan, at 75,000 feet, near the Arctic Circle and under the sea at this very moment—and not at Harvard or Yale, and seldom… in the Congress of the United States.

We need these young men and women who have ridden to the sound of guns, who have borne the battle to take the reins on the domestic front and not allow the destruction of our beloved country from within. They have learned to lead and to follow and we need them for the coming fight.

Our way or life, our society, our very nationhood is in great peril; we face nothing less than the death of deliberative democracy because sinister forces within this country threaten to succeed where imperialists, Nazis, fascists, communists, and psychotic radical Muslim mass murderers have not.

Our founders… just 56 patriots… knew in their wisdom that this day would likely come, and they cautioned future Americans to recognize and defend against all enemies—foreign and domestic—and that we would prevail only if we adhered to the simple principles they set forth.

Jefferson warned... The price of freedom is eternal vigilance. He did not mean only those in the military, he did not mean only in time of war.

He meant … especially in times of real or imagined peace…. for peace is not simply the absence of war, peace is dictated by the terms of the victor.

Despite our great military power and responsibility, we as a society have little tolerance for a large standing army that is equipped as it needs be, paid as it needs be, trained as it needs be and supported as it needs be because we lose our national focus and forget Jefferson's simple admonitions.

This is a recipe for disaster for a society which professes a desire to remain free.

And yet…. just days ago the an Islamofascist terrorist—a Muslim, born and bred here, a traitor within our own military—struck out soldiers because our government did nothing, despite knowing that Major Nidal Malik Hasan was the enemy and had ample evidence to have jailed him a year ago.

Thirteen of our best paid the price…. Not primarily due to terrorism—but because our politically-correct, “diversity-at-all-costs” government, including our highest military commanders, despite all bloody evidence to the contrary, refuse to act like we are at war.

Like a bitter slap across the face, grieving Fort Hood families heard the Army Chief of Staff, Gen. George Casey that he was more worried about Muslims than the dead and wounded, say:

“Our diversity, not only in our Army, but in our country, is a strength. And as horrific as this tragedy was, if our diversity becomes a casualty, I think that’s worse.”

George Patton, is not turning in his grave…. He is screwaming to high heaven.

On Veterans Day, Memorial Day we express our thanks to our service members for their service.

Too often we are found struggling to our feet after being sucker punched.

It happened on December 7, 1941, which forced us into the bloodiest war in world history; we fought, we won, yet it only took five years for us to grow lazy and fat on our hard-won peace and prosperity.

And in early 1950s hordes of Chinese and North Korean Communists poured across the 38th parallel slaughtering thousands of South Korean and American troops before we could react… our "peacetime" soldiers didn't even have cold weather gear.

More recently, and despite repeated intelligence warnings and attacks on our military, our Foreign Service officials, and our embassies in the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s … despite the clear and present danger of Islamofascist terrorism… we continued our slumber.

And only a year and a half into the new millennium… we once again paid in blood; suffering the worst enemy attack on our soil since the American Revolution.

Yet we are supposed to learn why they hate us.

It doesn't matter why, they do; they only question to be answer is how many will we have to kill to end their desire to slaughter us?

And yet… there is little debate that as a nation, despite the initial outrage, the fervor following September 11, and with our troops in the field, taking casualties…. we somehow lost interest in our own survival.

We have allowed our great country—forged more than 230 years ago by courageous, well-armed men willing to sacrifice their blood and fortune—to fall into complacency, our populace willing to be seduced by the slow creep of incremental socialism.

Two hundred and thirty-four years ago we refused to pay a British tax on tea and a penny tax on every document printed in the Colonies, known as the Stamp Act; we considered both to be oppressive. The slogan heard everywhere in the Colonies was "No taxation without representation".

Despite that rich historical example, what have we become? What have we allowed? And what has a modern day, oppressive government done but enslave us through taxation?

Now more than half your annual earned income goes to various levels of governments which grow fat, powerful and no longer accountable to the electorate.

Our legislative branch is comprised of 535 elected representatives. Two-hundred-and-thirty-seven of them are millionaires.

That’s 44 percent– compared to about 1 percent of Americans overall. Sure some inherited wealth, but how did the rest become millionaires on a job that pays $170,000?

As a result, the members of Congress are now over-paid and under-worked; they are arrogant, blind to our peril and deaf to our demands… and even to our outrage.

Yet between 1789 to1855, members of Congress received only a per diem (daily payment) of $6.00 while in session. Members began receiving an annual salary in 1855, when they were paid $3,000 per year.

How did we possibly survive as a nation with temporary help in Congress?

Very well, as it turned out.

Our founders never envisioned or wanted a permanent political class; federal office was designed for citizen-politicians who would serve a term or two and then return to honest and most of all, more productive labor.

Davy Crockett said it best after two terms in Congress… “you may all go to hell, and I will go to Texas

Now these supposed public servants treat us with contempt and disrespect;

Some have called for our defeat in this war, they voted against the very funds necessary to protect and arm our troops in harm's way and have even slandered our sons and daughters as "Nazis, communists, terrorist and murderers."

Would our grandparents have tolerated that for one minute?

We have been repeatedly told that we are at fault for all the world's ills, that we are arrogant, that we have too much, use too much.

We have been told that …. we’re going to have to make sacrifices, we’re going to have to "change our conversation, we’re going to have to change our traditions, our history and we’re going to have to move to a different place."

We are scolded that we must "fundamentally change"… and therefore apologize, ask forgiveness—even from our enemies.

To this I do not say "no"… I say HELL NO!!

….. a resounding "no" from millions of voices that must be heard in the Halls of Congress and penetrate the arrogance of the Oval office.

We have heard quite enough of what others think is wrong with America… those summer soldiers and sunshine patriots who are free with criticism, and are more likely to agree with our enemies and ridicule our patriots.

We are accused of being bitter…… that we cling to our God and our guns.

Bitter…? Hardly, we won freedom's lottery…. We're Americans.

Do we cling to our most gracious God and our guns?

You damned right we do… guilty as charged; we are the same now as when 13 colonies were birthed in an explosion of freemen's will and courage which wrought liberty and justice for all.

We patrol our borders to keep people out…

Much of the rest of the world patrols its borders to keep people in.

I have never heard of someone trying to swim to Cuba from Florida.

I can immigrate to England or Germany, but I can never be English or German; yet everyone legally here has the opportunity to become an American and live in the greatest country in the world.

What then, I ask, needs to be fundamentally changed in America?

We follow a simple rule…. "Love your country, fear your government."

And now in America, an admitted Muslim traitor, an avowed jihadist, is allowed to walk free, but soon you will be jailed if you refuse to buy government health insurance.

We are Americans.

We do not aspire to be “part” of the United Nations as some of our politicians insist we must.

We already have all colors, all races, all nationalities, and all faiths… we are a United Nation, a pristine model for the world.

We already have the kind of “diversity” that has made us not just the best, but the best of the very best.

We accomplished long ago what the UN never will.

It doesn’t make a damn that we can’t ballet dance like the Russians or exist on a bowl of rice like the Chi-coms;

it doesn’t matter that we can’t cook or surrender was well as the French….

We don't know foreign languages or teach them to our kids… we don't because the only time it comes in handy is when we find ourselves overseas having to manage large numbers of POWs.

We are at home in the purple mountains’ majesty and we reap the fruited plain;

We stand up when Old Glory comes into view; she leads us forward and covers our military caskets as we wipe a tear from our eye.

Our beloved flag provides the only color on the moon's silent and monochromatic gray landscape.

We love our land not for what it can do for us, but for what we can do to protect it, save it for those who follow.

We are as tough as the New York streets and as old as the hills; we can somehow coax a crop from the sandy soil of North Texas, and we harvest the bounty from two oceans

We drive on the correct side—the right side—even our freeways are conservative.

We can build your barn, and put out your fire; we can drink oceans of beer and can still dance ‘til the sun comes up.

We are Paul Bunyan, Casey Jones; and we are John Henry—that steel drivin’ man.

We invented baseball and basketball and football (real football) and left all the other games for the rest of the world, then we kicked their ass in those games whenever they think them up.

We’re Jim Thorpe, Mickey Mantle, Wilt Chamberlain, Bart Starr and Babe Ruth.

We’re a 30 mile-an-hour leeward wind filing our top’sail 10 hours out of Nantucket; we’re Mach 2.5 at 100,000 feet and climbing; we bowl 300 games…. while our inferiors insist that there is no such thing as "perfect".

We can turn a clean double play and film a Night at the Opera.

We’ve been to Casablanca and the Merry Old Land of Oz.

We are Greg Peck and John Wayne, the Andrews Sister, Glenn Miller, The Lone Ranger and Hopalong Cassidy, Kathryn Hepburn and General Jimmy Stewart.

We have seen the whites of their eyes, we have crossed Travis’ line in the sand, we have died at Bunker Hill and advanced into a hundred other climes and places where we could take a gun.

We are beautiful, we are profane, we can ride farther and shooter better than anyone else in the world.

We are kind and gentle people who believe that God made man, but Sam Colt made them equal.

We’re your best friend and your worst enemy… the world’s 9-1-1.

We control the land, the sky, the oceans and space…..

The rest we really don’t care about…. we know our limitations.

We are winners, we are warriors, we are the best there is and the best there ever was and the best there will ever be.

We kick ass and take names….. and if you run…. you’ll just die tired.

We are the Texas two-step and the Tennessee waltz; we are the City of Angles and the Grand Canyon, the hot dog the Philly cheese-steak.

We have counties the size of countries; we dominate our hemisphere, yet do so peaceably

We cherish our 1927 Model T as much… perhaps more... than our 150 mile-an-hour Corvettes.

We're not much for fancy food like you see in the big cities of the world… where the price is high and the plate looks pretty empty.

We shuck oysters, dig for clams, dive for crab and stalk the great elk to 10,000 feet just for the chance to match our marksmanship with his great God-given cunning.

We're Tex-Mex and cabbage pockets, massive steaks and peanuts in a bottle of RC cokecola.

Hot tamales and cold watermelons; smooth maple syrup and chicken and dumplings simmering on grandma's stove.

We thank God, not science, for our spacious skies and amber waves of grain.

We are shoulder to shoulder, nose to the grindstone, the proverbial early birds who invented the better mouse trap as well as ice cream cones, artificial hearts, the telegraph, the telephone, television, polio vaccine, atomic energy, computers, machine-guns, the automobile, the light bulb, submarines, space craft, national parks, revolvers, potato chips, the radio… everything from supermarkets to Scrabble.

We watch out for our neighbors and take in the stranger down on his luck; we don't just adopt children from our own country, we accept those from every other culture, faith and background in the world…. and send them food, clothing and money if we cannot.

We cherish and demand much of our children; we protect our women and sacrifice for tomorrow and all the tomorrows to come…..

We do so, that others yearning for liberty… those generations yet born…. can one day join us here in this shining city upon a hill which beckons all freedom-loving people…

.... and to this end, we mutually pledge to our nation and each other, our Lives, our Fortunes and our sacred Honor.

For ours is the greatest boast in all the world…..

WE…. ARE …. AMERICANS.

<xhtml:img xmlns:xhtml="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/Leatherneckm31/~4/ir6gi9j37KE" height="1" width="1" />

Samuel Nicholas formed two battalions of Continental Marines, thus inscribing the first page of a remarkable war-fighting legacy unmatched in the world.

My young Marine comrades in Iraq and the Af-Pak theater are at this moment writing the latest chapter in our order of battle, and it is my deeply-held belief that these are the finest Marines in Corps history.

It is said that “the Old Corps” begins the day you take the oath, which gives you immediately bragging rights over those who follow your date of enlistment… even by a day; of course it’s all just so much good-natured kidding between the generations.

I have never heard a Marine seriously suggest that Marines back in ‘42 or ‘62 or ‘82 are “better” than whatever present-day version they are comparing.

First, while the Marine Corps has always been a volunteer outfit except in times of great national need, like WWII and Vietnam, today’s smaller, all-volunteer military has doubled-down on the Corps’ well-known espirit de corps.

Secondly, as physical specimens capable of accomplishing what is expected these days… they are more than remarkable… they are unique. Most of them are simply “studs”, committed to getting the most strength, speed and endurance out of their bodies. Most do not smoke, drinking is not the preferred pastime it was “back in the Old Corps”… it’s going to the gym.

Hell… they now exercise in 110-degree heat in between firefights.

My point?

Every generation of Marines wants to leave the Corps better than they found it, and for the most part we have fulfilled that responsibility… for the entire history of the United States.

For Marines, from their first shocking moments in “receiving barracks”, our history is stressed to the point of near-religious fervor. Woe betide the boot who cannot remember the Corps’ first Commandant (the above-named Capt. Robert W. Cone and Army Chief of Staff Gen. George Casey on stakes.

How can they fight a war when they can’t even keep terrorists out of the ranks?

And to think that a number of high ranking officers were cashiered because of some grab ass at the Tail Hook convention.

Gentlemen… if your dog tags say “Muslim”, please step over to that line.”

Next, any Muslim who tries to enlist must undergo the most stringent security check in America… and I don’t mean the “move along, nothing to see here” vetting process the Obama used to slip communists into the highest levels of government for the next phase of the coup.

All the casualties last week were aboard a military base, so most of America will just shrug it off as “another terrible tragedy” and a “gun crime”… more on that aspect below.

No…. it was the worst Muslim terrorist attack on American soil since 9/11.

Let me repeated for emphasis….. the worst murderous attack by committed Muslim jihadists in the eight years since the mass murder of 3,000 in the World Trade Center and the Pentagon and on United Flight 93 by committed Muslim suicide bombers.

My friends, clearly the CIA, the FBI, Army CID and the Army itself is part of a conspiracy to sacrifice American service members and civilians on the altar of hard-core left-wing politics.

“Political correctness”?

No, we passed that years ago… there is something terribly, systemically wrong when our courts, our law enforcement agencies, our various levels of government, our intelligence community, our military and even the president of the United States refuse to defend America and protect her citizens.

I can cite 100 cases of traitorous, unconstitutional inaction and/or malfeasance on the part of each of the institutions I just listed.

When will the people rise up and take control of this situation… do your own children or grandchildren have to die before we take matters into our own hands?

Oh stop your squirming like a little girl with twisted panties… if we don’t do it, who will? If not now, when?

When are we going to start acting like patriots born of revolutionary forefathers instead of sheep being lead to slaughter?

This terror attack just happened to have occurred at Fort Bragg…. you convince me why the next time it won’t be at the Mall of America… or in your Wal-Mart?

I wrote extensive about the Muslim Beslan Russia school massacre, thinking the lesson was obvious about the vulnerability of our own schools… I learned quickly that no one in the massive government school, union-controlled industry cares.

Every conscientious conservative blog I’m aware of has warned of this as long as blogs have existed.

What price are we willing to pay for our inaction?

Am I advocating armed rebellion?

No… not hardly; we can’t even keep communists from indoctrinating of children in government schools. How are we going to shift into a hard-core revolutionary cadre? Get real.

What I am advocating is the following:

If a million tea-partying 9/12’ers can clog the street of D.C. for a day, five million can shut down the government for as many days as we need to… like Martin Luther… nail our demands to the doors of Congress.

Luther, a monk, was personally fed up. He had had it with Roman Catholic Church, and literally nailed a collections of indictments on the door of the Schlosskirche (castle church) in Wittenberg

Among his rhetorical accusations was this one:

"Why does the pope, whose wealth today is greater than the wealth of the richest Crassus, build the basilica of St. Peter with the money of poor believers rather than with his own money?"

By changing only a couple of words, isn’t Martin Luther’s clarity just as apt today as it was around this time of year in 1517.

Luther, one man, one motivated individual, thus began the Protestant Reformation and changed the world.

If Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer (left) can’t get to work for a week, it will be the best thing that has happened to our republic since we bombed Japan.

And is they were forced to resign and special elections held, the slimy politicians would quickly learn that if they want to keep their jobs for another year or so, they do what we say.

In the meantime we begin from the ground up, a take over of our government.

Only those who believe and will protect the originalist view of the Constitution need apply.

I don’t want a democrat or republic merry-go-round government changing masks every 2-4 years; I want a Constitutional Movement that will once and for all relegate the excesses of this bloated federal government and this society to the dung heap of history.

Absolute term limitations… one four-year term in the House, one six-year term in the Senate; one five-year term for president.

We simply take away the political pay offs, graft, corruption, luxuries, high pay… make being a “public servant” not so attractive.

This way, no one “runs’ for re-election as soon as they’re sworn in; they are in long enough to work effectively, but not long enough to do any great damage. Besides, in Real America, impeachment is only a Constitutional violation away… for anyone.

Further:

Government housing for federal officials will be provided on military bases in the previous enlisted quarters; new quarters will be constructed for active duty member and families and a livable per diem will be paid to military members who must live on the local economy.

Better yet, the military buys existing apartment buildings to house troops.

This is all stream-of consciousness, I have a million ideas,

But the question we must answer is when do we quit bleating about the systematic destruction of our great nation, get off our asses and do something?

As promised:

The spin is already grinding away to use the Fort Hood Muslim terrorism attack as “proof” we need more anti-gun laws.

And the new villain is—drum-roll, please…..

The 5.7 mm FN Herstal Five-seveN, 10-round semi-auto handgun.

It is already nick-named the “cop-killer”… as if all the other pistols used to gun down law enforcement officers weren’t “cop-killers”.

It is only a matter of time until it is also dubbed an “assault pistol”.

If it was pink, liberals wouldn’t even notice.

The following is already included in the Wikipedia entry on the FN Herstal.

On Nov.5, 2009, the weapon was again the target of controversy when, investigators believe, the Five-Seven was used by U.S. Army psychiatrist Major Nidal Hasan in the shooting at Fort Hood military base, where 13 were killed and 30 were wounded.

Move along citizens… it wasn’t terrorism; just another terrible gun tragedy. We must have more “reasonable” gun laws… this weapon is not used for hunting, it’s just used to kill people.

If the government is really worried about Muslims, they had better keep them in line.

In the end, when all the cards are played, Americans will not go down without a fight.
<xhtml:img xmlns:xhtml="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/Leatherneckm31/~4/T2_kyT0nRwM" height="1" width="1" />

Douglas MacArthur chafed at the thought that FDR's socialist New Deal would be funded through cuts to the military.

He told Roosevelt:

"When we lose the next war and an American boy is writhing in pain in the mud with a Jap bayonet in his belly, I want the last words that he spits out in the form of a curse to be not against Douglas MacArthur but against Franklin Roosevelt." FDR was enraged, and he said, "Never speak to the President of the United States that way."

MacArthur immediately offered to resign, but Roosevelt brightened and said, "No, no, Douglas, we must get together on this."

The man who now holds McArthur’s job—Gen. George Casey—is typical of the politically-correct, “diversity-at-all-costs” mentality that has poisoned the upper ranks of our military; perhaps all ranks.

As the highest commander, the blood of 40 Fort Hood soldiers is on his hands; it was on his watch that an anti-American Muslim zealot who openly praised suicide bombers was catered to, educated at tax payer expense and then murdered 13 young real Americans.

What was Casey’s response?

“I’m concerned that this increased speculation could cause a backlash against some of our Muslim soldiers. And I’ve asked our Army leaders to be on the lookout for that.” Casey on CNN and any other number of left-wing Sunday TV shows he could slither onto.

"I wouldn't say I fear (a backlash against Muslims), but one of the reasons I told our leaders to keep their people informed and not rush to judgment or speculate until the investigation comes out, is I do worry slightly about a potential backlash, and we have to be concerned about that."

“Our diversity, not only in our Army, but in our country, is a strength. And as horrific as this tragedy was, if our diversity becomes a casualty, I think that’s worse.”

Somewhere in America 40 families had to hear their son’s or daughter’s top general say that a dent in our “diversity”—whatever the goddamned hell that is—is more important that the lives and bodies of their loved ones.

Perhaps Casey is best know for using specific troop numbers in his public discussion of a possible drawdown of US Troops in Iraq in 2005. He said the then current troop level of 138,000 could be reduced by 30,000 in the early months of 2006 as Iraqi security forces took on a greater role. President Bush publicly called the talk "speculation" and rebuked the general.

Obviously an opponent of vigorous war-fighting, in January 2007, Casey implied his opposition to a troop surge in Iraq.

"The longer we in the U.S. forces continue to bear the main burden of Iraq’s security, it lengthens the time that the government of Iraq has to take the hard decisions about reconciliation and dealing with the militias. And the other thing is that they can continue to blame us for all of Iraq’s problems, which are at base their problems. It’s always been my view that a heavy and sustained American military presence was not going to solve the problems in Iraq over the long term."[3]

Not long after, Bush kicked Casey upstairs to make way for a real general… David Petraeus, who seems to have been very very quiet since Obama bluffed his way into commanding our troops.

Over the last two hard days of photo ops Obama-appointed Secretary of the Army John McHugh could muster little more than repeating the Army’s pathetic, Madison Avenue motto when discussing the Fort Hood massacre:

"This is a time for the Army family to stand together, this is a time for 'Army Strong' to mean what it says -- and this is a time to know that we are working every moment to ensure that their safety and security is met to the highest possible degree."

At least he expressed some concern about soldiers being assassinated inside their own bases.

A career politician, McHugh, like so many of my fellow Baby-Boomers, graduated from high school in 1966… college four years later; but just couldn't find time to join us in South Vietnam.

But I know you’ll be reassured to learn that McHugh was voted one of the “50 most beautiful people on Capitol Hill” by The Hill magazine.[10]

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the boss of the entire Army.

Is justice being pursued?

Asked whether he thought the Army “dropped the ball” in not responding to warning signs that the major was increasingly radical, General Casey replied that he was encouraging soldiers to provide information to criminal investigators.

But he added that the Army needs to be careful not to jump to conclusions based on early tidbits of information.

In other words… do not talk about ragheads…. and it’s a “criminal matter” for the FBI and the courts… not a failure of Casey and his Army.

It was left to Sen. Joe Lieberman, chairman of the Senate Homeland Security Committee, get it right; he promised that his committee would investigate Hasan’s suspected motives and whether the Army “missed warning signs that should have led them to essentially discharge him.”

In closing…. The San Antonio Express-News has reported that fellow classmates of Hasan in a graduate military medical program heard him justify suicide bombings and make radical and anti-American statements.

But investigators have said that “Major Hasan” might have suffered from emotional problems that were aggravated by the strain of working with veterans of combat in Iraq and Afghanistan and by the knowledge that he might soon be deployed to those theaters as well.

Got that….? the spin is that Hasan who has never served outside the United States and probably fired a rifle but once, may have Pre-Traumatic Stress Disorder.

It’s all mapped out for any other sleeper jihadist in the military…. kill as many as you can and then claim to be insane based on hearing combat stories of actual heroes.

Hundreds of ACLU operators are standing by.
<xhtml:img xmlns:xhtml="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/Leatherneckm31/~4/n1pzQSXDKFg" height="1" width="1" />

Hasan shot and killed 14 people at Fort Hood in the worst mass shooting ever at a military base

Hasan’s terroristic past:

This much, beyond the state-controlled media’s attempt at white-wash, is known:

--At least six months ago Fort Hood killer Hasan came to the attention of law enforcement officials because of Internet postings about suicide bombings and other threats, including posts that equated suicide bombers to soldiers who throw themselves on a grenade to save the lives of their comrades.

--Hasan had made “outlandish comments” about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and US involvement in them and that “Muslims had a right to rise up and attack Americans in Iraq and Afghanistan.”

--His name appeared on radical Internet postings.

--A fellow officer says he fought his deployment to Iraq and argued with soldiers who supported U.S. wars. He required disciplinary counseling as a medical student because of problems he had with his patients.

(BTW: Hasan’s medical school education was paid for by you, the American taxpayer.)

But before the smoke had cleared yesterday, civilian and military authorities were in lock-step insistence that there was no terrorism involved in the mass-killings.

Did the attack create terror? Was that along with killing as many as possible, the intent?

Then what else should it be called?

One of the great weakness of our nation is the knee-jerk, bending over backwards of our political correct society (even in the military) to whitewash our enemies as just part of the rich fabric of our so-called “diversity”.

Associated Press turned in its usual hard-hitting story:

Officials at the post hospital where Hasan worked said they weren't aware of any problems with his job performance.

"Up to this point I would consider him an asset," said Col. Kimberly Kesling, deputy commander of base clinical services.

She described Hasan as "a quiet man who wouldn't seek the limelight."

An imam from a mosque Hasan regularly attended said Hasan, a lifelong Muslim, was a committed soldier, gave no sign of extremist beliefs and regularly wore his uniform at prayers.

An unnamed source… a Muslim imam… said that someone, anyone, was a committed solider and held no radical beliefs? Even in the same story, AP knew this was far from the truth.

I’ll guarantee you that this impression of Hasan will not hold up for another 24 hours as the blogosphere, Glenn Beck, Rush, and a few newspapers try to get to the truth.

The responsibility for this reaches the highest levels of the civil and military leadership of the Army.

We cannot allow it to be whitewashed…. again.

Only about half the murdered Fort Hood soldiers are shown above.

May God rest their souls.
<xhtml:img xmlns:xhtml="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/Leatherneckm31/~4/fddF9aULF5Y" height="1" width="1" />

After eating all the food, they took souvenirs (including one of the President Madison's hats) and then set the building on fire.

The White House was and remains a prime target for our enemies not because of its temporary chief occupant, but because it is the heart of the American people.

The President's residence was a major feature of Pierre Charles L'Enfant's plan for the newly established federal city, Washington D.C.

For these and myriad other reasons it is called “The Peoples’ House”.

A peoples’ gift to the President

By exercising our franchise every four years, we allow the incoming President the honor of living there… free of charge. Most of those to hold the office consider it the most enjoyable of all the chief executive’s benefits.

Real Americans have an emotional connection to The People’s House, and I’ll freely admit that in my first tour of the beautiful mansion, I was near tears several times. The White House simply overwhelms the visitor, yet somehow remains warm and inviting.

We haven’t the same feeling about Congress.

<img title="image" style="border-top-width: 0px;
It is protected by a permanent battery of surface-to-air-missiles occupies the roof of the White House, sonic weapons that cause seizures over large areas, 24 stationed Secret Service agents armed with M-9's, 12 snipers armed with 50 caliber Barrett sniper rifles on the roof, 12 roving Secret Service agents armed with MP-7's constitutes a small SWAT team, four Marines armed with M-4, Fifteen capitol police armed with Glock-17's, and countless layers of bullet proofing, underground vault panic room, and countless escape tunnels.

But when the man who occupies the Oval Office indentifies more with Europe than his own country…

when he is vows to “fundamentally change” our country,

when he undermines our Constitution and apologizes for the United States on foreign soil,

when such a man justifies being a fifth-columnist by saying “we won.”

When the President is Barack Hussein Obama, this is what happens to The House of the People.

<img title="image" style="border-top-width: 0px;
For the Obamas, nothing is sacred; casual clothes, lavish parties for Hollywood celebs, rappers and sycophants, endless golf and roundball, and jetting off for dinner at $1 million per on the taxpayers’ dime….

.. and then cynically calling time out for a photo-op with caskets of those who died defending him and his temporary housing.

That is the 44th President of the United States.

But the First Couple can always be counted on to be so out of touch that they invite ridicule:

<img title="image" style="border-top-width: 0px;
The <strike>Predator</strike> First Lady was dressed “… as a purring Cat Woman clad in an orange-and-black leopard print top, fuzzy ears and black eye shadow.”

Black eye shadow?

“Casting about the north lawn was a band of musicians in black and white skeleton leotards, walking trees on stilts and a pair of human butterflies inside giant rolling bubbles.”

“Obama was heard wishing several of the children -- most ages six to 14 -- a simple "Happy Halloween" as…. one toddler burst out crying in his father's arms when he saw the president.”

Out of the mouth of babes….

And White House Mouthpiece Robert Gibbs, added great dignity to his position by dressing as a rather gay Darth Vader.

<img title="image" style="border-top-width: 0px; display: inline; border-left-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px;
Yes, the woman who represents us in the United Nations…. is shown here: <img title="image" style="border-top-width: 0px; Dale R. Griffin shown with his parents, Gene and Dona Griffin.

Sadly, Sgt. Griffin, killed in action this week in Afghanistan will be remembered (or more accurately, his flag-draped casket will be remember) as a photo prop for his Marxist Commander-in-Chief.

Not since the last democrat president has there been such a disgusting display of monumental cynicism, black-hearted calculation and rage-educing bitterness.

And this was the political/visual/media pay-off for his stomach-churning manipulation; the AP, which chose to call Griffin a “…college student who was struggling to find his way in the world when he turned to the military” reports:

“… (Griffin) came home in a line of flag-draped coffins saluted in Thursday's pre-dawn darkness by President Barack Obama at Dover Air Force Base.

(Ed. note: Obama did not salute a “line of flag-draped coffins”….. only one, Griffin’s.)

And save me the eye-rolling lecture about a “president doing what he’s supposed to do as commander-in-chief”; haven’t you been paying attention the last two-three years?

Of the 15 military troops and three DEA agents killed last week, only one family—the Griffins—gave its permission for the photo op.

But the still and video images carry a far different message, don’t they?

The assumption by most Americans is that Obama awoke in the “pre-dawn” darkness to honor all his fallen servicemen.

Absolutely not.

Did Obama’s henchmen contact all the grieving families and could only obtain permission from one?

Did all refuse, but the Griffins gave in? Mr. Griffin is a Mormon bishop from Terre Haute … and he and his wife allowed the TelePrompTer to use their dead son as a prop?

Perhaps the Griffins were placed under a great deal of pressure, or perhaps they even thought it was a great idea; is that likely? I do not know.

And of course, the AP used the faux ceremony to bash President Bush:

“The dramatic image of Obama on the tarmac was a portrait not witnessed in years.”

Compare that with Bush—a very good war-time President, and decent man—who refused to use dead young men to further a political agenda. Without checking all eight years of his daily schedule, not one knows how many grieving families from this war he prayed with and cried with… in private.

Bush also knew that had he done so publically, he would have been pilloried for doing exactly what Barack Hussein Obama has done and will likely continue to do when the need arises for a little distraction from the truth: that he’s leading our brave young men and women to defeat.

Finally… Obama went to Dover with his usual retinue of news media lackeys. Why? If his gesture was genuine and respectful, he would have closed his appearance to all journalists.

And no one had to teach George Bush how to render a proper salute.

The White House news bureau at MSNBC reported: “The president's trip to Dover, something he has wanted to do for months, came at a pivotal moment for the Afghanistan war.”

No argument there… he didn’t go to Dover until he needed the caskets for political cover.

Barack Hussein Obama has spent more time taking his wife to dinner, more time playing basketball and golf, more time brushing his teeth than talking to his Afghanistan commander with whom he has met once.

What enrages we Real Americans is that Obama has time to generate propaganda, but hasn’t the time to heed his theater commanders and send the 40-80,000 reinforcements which would very likely have saved Griffith’s life.

Barry is trading our sons’ and daughters’ lives to placate the radical left which wants America to surrender to its enemies, and demands that Obama surrender as he promised he would.

Griffin (shown second from left), died along with six other soldiers and an Afghan interpreter when their Stryker armored vehicle hit an improvised explosive device.

Griffin, 29, was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 17th Infantry Regiment, 5th Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, Fort Lewis, Wash.

He died Oct. 27 in Arghandab Valley, Afghanistan, of wounds sustained when enemy forces attacked his vehicle with an IED. No more taxes. No more trillion dollar deficits. That's what I'm fighting for.

My opponents have bought and paid for $876,000 in TV ads. I urgently need to raise $125, 000… immediately.

My opponents are a liberal Republican who voted for gay marriage (twice) and was endorsed by ACORN, and a Nancy Pelosi Democrat.

Defeating them comes down to one cold, hard fact – money.

In 1980, I helped Lake Placid with our Olympics when the US beat the Russians in hockey – the same year Reagan was elected. It’s time to send Washington a new message now.

Refreshing, no?

Hoffman’s entered the bizarre world of GOP “special masters” who gave us John McCain, so he finds himself being opposed by his own (former) party, as well as some of it’s luminaries, such as Newt Gingrich who offers this great insight into 2010 politics:

“Conservatives are inadvertently hindering the cause by backing Conservative Party nominee Doug Hoffman over Dede Scozzafava.”

“The Newt” is in the tank for a stealth democrat in drag; he rationalizes, “I never second-guess the local party.”

Moreover, the New York GOP which is running attack ads against Hoffman in favor of Scozzafava, who is pro-abortion, pro-gay marriage, and the wife of a union capo.

The former small town mayor, Scozzafava (below, left) is infamous for calling the cops on an AP reporter who had the temerity to ask obvious questions of the candidate. (Click here and scroll to the bottom of the article for this very odd piece of campaigning.)

When I said I wasn’t impressed with Hoffman at the top of this, I meant that he isn’t exactly as TV friendly as I’d hoped, but perhaps we’ve crossed a symbolic Rubicon with this humble man who is simply fed up and is willing to fight for his country.

That’s more than enough for me.

The GOP default position every four, if not every two years is the ancient “big tent” strategy; essentially this… conservative Americans are in the minority (a lie, see proof: here.) and must attract illegal aliens, cross-dressers, idiots, numbskulls, popinjays, ex-cons and tolerate the likes of the GOP’s “youth consultant” and full-time trolip, Meghan McCain, to have enough votes to win in November.

Oh, shut-up…. I can hear it now: oooh, a candidates “children” are off limits.

I write very few things that lack grounding… to wit:

Yeah, spawn of Maverick.

She just had to post this to her Twitter account… appropriate, no?

The bimbo is so stupid that she doesn’t realizes that the dems and the news media are using her for the limited conservative-bashing ability she offers.

Once she’s served her purpose, she’ll be tossed aside, Cindy Sheehan-style.

Pardon, I digress.

This more important than it appears; the unlikely candidacy of Doug Hoffman may have finally provided the very necessary tip of the spear for the 9/12 folks, tea party-goers, and angry white males, a conservative movement that has been brewing rather aimlessly for decades.

The time is well nigh to finally jettison the old-style Republicanism—Rockefeller-elites who have more in common with the state-run media and the liberal wing of the dem-party than they do with America… let alone conservative America.

What and whom do I mean?

Here are a few current quick shots from the hip:

Asked Sunday on “Deface the Nation” if he agreed with former Vice President Dick Cheney's (God love him) recent remarks, in which he said, that Obama’s "signals of indecision out of Washington hurt our allies and embolden our adversaries," McCain said, "I wouldn't use that language."

Of course he wouldn’t… he uses this language:

“And so the more united we can be behind him, I think the more the chances are of success and American public support.

"Let's look forward. I want to support the president. I want this strategy to work. I know it can work, and I know it will work if . . . it's properly resourced.”

To which Real Americans demand, “What effing strategy???”

“Shamnesty” Graham who is clearly on crack:

"I think an Israeli attack on Iran is a nightmare for the world, because it will rally the Arab world around Iran and they're not aligned now. It's too much pressure to put on Israel," Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) told Fox News' Chris Wallace.

Oct., 10, 2009:

“Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina publicly announced his support for climate legislation on Sunday in an op-ed column with Democratic Sen. John Kerry of Massachusetts.”

Wasn’t Kerry a 90-day hero in Vietnam? Didn’t he take the early out with three paper cuts and leave his PBR shipmates to their fates?

Didn’t he say this: … Vietnam veterans “had personally raped, cut off ears, cut off heads, taped wires from portable telephones to human genitals and turned up the power, cut off limbs, blown up bodies, randomly shot at civilians, razed villages in fashion reminiscent of Genghis Khan, shot cattle and dogs for fun, poisoned food stocks, and generally ravaged the countryside of South Vietnam…”

Why do I want to rip Graham’s throat out before Kerry’s?

Because I hate traitors more than opportunists.

Finally… oh, stop groaning.

Finally, if we are to turn the tide of this socialist coup, we are far better served by the Doug Hoffmans of American because there are many of them in every city, town and community in the nation, and very few in the republican party upper echelon.

It’s not up to them, it’s up to us.

Strike now.
<xhtml:img xmlns:xhtml="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/Leatherneckm31/~4/9DX_BoZ_PU8" height="1" width="1" />

In the largest incident, a CH-47 Chinook crashed as it was departing a firefight in Baghlan province (this very likely was a Chinook as there were 14 Afghan troops, 11 US troops, and 1 US civilian injured in the crash). The Taliban claimed it shot down the Chinook, but the US military said "The cause is not believed to be from enemy action."

Here is the initial report of the Chinook crash (the follow-up report provided the casualties). The three civilians killed are Drug Enforcement Agency personnel. The operation targeted drug operations:

Read more from the Long War Journal

Meanwhile, here’s the Fifth-Columnist who can’t seem to find the time to command troops in the field or even send critically needed reinforcements, but has all the time in the world to play Charles Barkley-like golf.

And where’s the state-run news media on this obvious outrage? And he was winning his war.

Here’s some more golf links-politics that Barry Hussein has time for…. bending to the demands of the National Association of Gals—N.A.G.—whose presidentrix, Terry O’Neal (with an apparent straight face), was grousing about:

"The boy's club" atmosphere at the White House, as exemplified by the president playing basketball earlier this month with 11 members of Congress and four Cabinet Secretaries -- all men.

Well what’s a failing, lying, president to do?

What priorities must be served…? Well, in a master stroke (pun intended), Barry The Timid—in an incredible coincidence—took to the links with a woman — chief domestic policy adviser Melody Barnes.

(For more formal photo shoots in keeping with the dignity of being a presidential advisor, Miss Barnes wears shoes.)

Finally, a president we can be proud of… and another first to Barry; the dreaded Putting Green Ceiling has been shattered. So it’s TWO more first for the TelePrompTer POTUS!… first woman, and first black duffer.

But his presidency is certainly not about race.

The Predator Update:

Where is Mr. Blackwell when you need him?

I swear to God… if this woman does not stop outraging my sense of color, fashion and layering I will publically rips my eyes out in front of the White House.

I read she was on Leno’s show (sic) the other night where she decided this ensemble was best for TV:

Is this woman blind!?

I remember this pattern from my grandmother’s bed spreads.

I’ve had acid trips that weren’t this jarring.

And what better to go with than orange flowers in this garden-like setting but a large, chocolate, satin bow with rhinestones?

It’s enough to make me want to say periwinkle.

<xhtml:img xmlns:xhtml="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/Leatherneckm31/~4/U1CoJikmliw" height="1" width="1" />
