It’s fair to say this year for the wedding industry has been a disaster, but out of it all, comes the realisation that these amazing people preserve our health, to work another day and another year.

I’m incredibly proud, thankful and grateful for these legends risking everything for the likes of me.

It was a glorious day at this works year wedding venue, I knew the wedding couple would be chilled out and relaxed as they were friends with MYTHE BARN’s wedding coordinator and I was given my clear instructions to do a good job or I’ll be in trouble.

As I arrived at MYTHE BARN the Gardner was mowing the lawns and the fresh grass smell amongst the heat of the mind sun put me in a great mood for this glorious wedding.

While the female bridal party will be in beautified the guys turned up in black dickie bows and suits, they really did look handsome crew, once the groomsmen turned up on time which meant I should get I can get some really nice images of them and I’m really pleased with how they photographs came out.

After an emotional Wedding service, couple enjoyed celebratory champagne and canapés and relax with their guests. After about half an hour, spent about 15 minutes getting some wedding portraits of the couple we had such a good laugh and I think that shows in the images, we then spent the next 15 minutes taking a few little family photographs, I’m one of the few photographers, that loves this time, it’s nice to put Family members together and probably for the first time in their lives they have a really good laugh while having some wedding images taken, I love the banter between myself and the wedding couples family especially the oldies and the mums and dads, I love to see people relax, as the wedding really is a family celebration, not a photo shoot.

After more relaxation, it’s often a beautiful meal, put together by the wonderful Galloping Gourmet, out of all the venues I visit I have to say the galloping gourmet put on the most beautiful food, not only in taste but in presentation.

As the sun starts to go down the lights around the MYTHE BARN wedding venue becomes golden, and it gives me the opportunity to capture the guests relaxing and enjoying this perfect wedding day.

I always promised myself that if I was going to be a wedding photographer that it is important that I made the day relaxing and stress free so I can enjoy my work and intern the couples are set free to enjoy their day be with their guests and look back on the images with the memories of the most relaxing wedding possible, with Chloe and Scott they made this very easy, they too had a plan, of how they wanted to feel on their wedding day, and I’m sure you can see this in the wedding pictures.

As with most weddings I capture some evening images, and then onto the first wedding dance and some dancing photographs of the guests throwing some shapes and embarrass themselves on the dance floor.

I hope you love these MYTHE BARN wedding images as much as I enjoyed capturing them.

I fell in love with photography through being spoilt, I picked up A Canon 300d, the clunk of the bayonet fitting lens had me hooked from the beginning. From that point onwards I believe I’d be incredibly rich, if I stopped buying photography gear from that point.
I have photographed so many things since picking up this amazing little camera, from nudes to horses and even nude horses. I have captured people in the final days of their lives and even onto the funerals, there is nothing like holding up a camera with tears streaming down your face to make you realise what your photography is all about.
I have ran my own Wedding photography business for about 12 years https://leeglasgowphotography.co.uk I love being my own boss, I’m an all or nothing kind of person and my business allows me to be as lazy as I like, but at some point you have to put the work in. When you have your own business you are in control, you can make instant changes and see the results first hand.
After all this time with picking up a camera for business, I lost my hobby. So the birth of a project began, Project Bath Time projectbathtime on instagram. Why legs? I was thinking of a project, but this idea came from nowhere, I posted an image on social media of my legs hanging out the bath with shopping bags around my feet (I could not get my feet wet as I’d had a Podiatry Procedure) it got a bit of traction, the project was born and grew legs ever since. This project is liberating, frustrating, it’s a great talking point but above all it gives me a reason to pick up a camera for me. All the images in this project are shot with the Fujifilm X100F (its one of the few rules, I set myself) The others include, only legs can be on view, no added lighting and only one bath can be used for each image.
