Here is an overview of the Online Business Plan:

Online Business Plan Notes & Overview:

1) Looking for larger niches where I can expand and scale out, so if I find a venture that works – bigger opportunities for scale

2) To do this I’m venturing into the Affiliate marketing business – this allows me to run tests in various niches without having to create my own products

3) To be a successful affiliate marketer you need a good knowledge of:

How to market online

Landing pages / creating advertisements / calls to action

Tracking software

Places to advertise

So the process I am going through is to learn how to become a more effective online marketer.

I am currently learning how to create landing pages + advertisements that get high CTRs and then follow that through to ensuring conversions.

This will then progress onto learning about various places to purchase traffic – beginning on a small scale such as with Facebook traffic through to eventually large media buys.

Once I have tested a niche where I have a converting advert, converting landing page and its all fully tracked, I know my ROI (Return On Investment), I can then scale this out into larger media buys and so on.

Once I have successfully made media buys as an affiliate, I can then progress onto creating my own products for that particular niche.

There are many steps to this, which I will be sharing, but this post is to give you an overview of the process, so we start out small learning the ropes as an affiliate, we then scale it up to a large media buy, so for example, if we know we have converting offers we could spend £25k a month in advertising, it doesn’t matter as long as we know the stats and conversion ratios.

By moving out of a small niche such as DotNetNuke, when I find a niche and formula that works, all I have to do is buy the traffic in a large volume + there you have profit on a much larger scale – in this I’m not going to be relying on Google at all – I know what I’m doing with SEO, but it takes time, this is about being able to scale quickly, get the profit + then buy houses!

In the next blog posts I will start discussing elements that I am learning, tools I am using etc.

Goodbye DNN Creative, Hello World!">

Here is my big plan!

If you have read my previous post, you will be aware that I have left DNN Creative Magazine, so what am I going to do?

Well there are some big plans, but to get started with the big plans I need to begin small, learn from mistakes made and then implement the plans on a larger scale.

My decision to make this change came from reading books such as Robert Kiyosaki, “Rich Dad Poor Dad”, Napoleon Hill, “Think and Grow Rich” etc.

I will give you an overview of the structure to the plan:

It all begins with Cashflow and Assets, I realised that I need to be investing any profits I make from my businesses into assets that will generate their own cashflow and increase in capital over time, for this I am looking at Real Estate, purchasing houses and renting them out, this also offers diversification and means that I am not fully reliant on the internet to make money….

However, Real Estate can have risks, such as tenants trashing the house, mortgage rate interest rises, void periods, maintenance etc. So Real Estate should not be 100% relied upon and needs a backup system for cashflow, and this is where the internet comes into place.

But couldn’t you have done this with DNN Creative anyway?

Yes I could, but it would be a slow process, the other piece to the puzzle is finding enough spare cash to put down a 25% deposit on a house.

So I am now looking for internet businesses which are in a larger niche so that they can scale quickly and have a much higher cashflow. My aim is to generate enough cashflow from the internet businesses so that I have enough for a house deposit each month. – I may not buy a house every month, I may use this cashflow to pay down some of the debts on the houses, cover maintenance etc. but the point is, with this rate of high cashflow I can generate a very stable portfolio of real estate assets.

After generating these assets, if something goes wrong in the internet business, I don’t have to worry as those assets will be setup so that they are generating their own cashflow and creating a second income stream which I can comfortably live off.

So that’s the big plan!

The reason I had to leave DNN Creative is because working in DNN Creative did not leave me with enough spare time to implement new online projects which have the potential to grow much larger.

Taking this step is slightly scary, but exciting at the same time, I am sad to say goodbye to DNN Creative, but hopefully I can drive this forward to a new level.

I will talk more about my online business plans in another blog post, as this is where it starts to get interesting ……….

T his is a copy of the newsletter sent from DNN Creative Magazine with my recent farewell news:

Hello everyone,

A lot of changes have been happening over the past 6 months in the background of DNN Creative Magazine and it has now reached the time where I can announce I am leaving DNN Creative.

DNN Creative is now being run by Andy Stephenson, I have known Andy for 10 years and he is a close friend of mine, Andy has been working within the DNN Creative team for the past 2 years and knows DNN Creative inside out.

I have now handed over DNN Creative to Andy, who has actually been running and managing the entire DNN Creative site full-time for the past 6 months, and I’m sure you will all agree he has been doing a great job!

What does this mean for the future of DNN Creative and subscribers? Nothing will change in terms of the quality of service and videos provided, in fact it should allow Andy to take DNN Creative to an improved level.

Why am I leaving? Good question! It is a lengthy answer which you can read in my new blog post, but briefly I am looking to take my internet businesses to a new level and to do this I need to venture into new markets. I am still using DotNetNuke for my web projects, but I am looking for bigger markets where I can grow, build a larger business and scale rapidly once I find a venture that works.

These are interesting and experimental times for me, there is a plan, but I don’t know if it will work, each day I am learning massively. I thought there was a learning curve to DotNetNuke, but this takes it all to a new level. By leaving DNN Creative I put myself into a situation where I have to succeed in this new venture, there is no other option, from reading “Think and Grow Rich,” Napoleon Hill discusses the successful entrepreneurs succeeded most when they had no choice left but to succeed. I have now put myself into that situation, so wish me luck!

I would really like to keep in touch with all of my DotNetNuke friends, so I have launched a new blog, facebook page and twitter account, so please keep in touch, I’m going to keep regular updates in the blog with my progress and business ventures and I’m sure there will be content in there that you will find interesting. To give you an idea, I am currently experimenting in social marketing (I have managed to gain 25,000 fans in 2 weeks in a certain niche), media buying, ppv, and all sorts of internet marketing goodness.

Note that from today I will no longer receive any emails to lee@dnncreative.com, or any other DNN Creative related accounts such as Twitter, they will all go directly to Andy, so to keep in touch, contact me via any of the methods below.

If you would like to learn more visit:

And to finish, I would like to say a massive thank you to everyone who has provided me with support while running DNN Creative. I would like to thank the DNN Creative team, especially Joe Craig for his continued support, and all of the video editors, I would also like to thank all of the module and skin developers for their help and support, the DotNetNuke core team, and most importantly I would like to thank you for using DNN Creative Magazine and supporting the DotNetNuke community.

DNN Creative was created to help support and contribute back to the community and that is what it will continue to do with the help of Andy and the DNN Creative team.

Thank you again, and please get in touch with me and sign up to my newsletter:
