Day 2: Universal Studio Singapore

2013-09-04T05:58:00.000-07:00

The super long overdue Singapore Day 2 :)

Some pretty shot I managed to capture in Madagascar Ride

Day 2 was basically just spending some quality time with H in Universal Studio Singapore (USS). The most exciting ride would definitely goes to Transformer (Transformer is my favorite action/robot movie thus far). If you haven't had the chance to go USS, I highly recommend you to go for Transformer! And make sure you go, because most of my friends spent too much on other rides such as Jurassic park. Forget about those rides, and get on to Transformer :D

Satisfied our hungry stomach with FOOD

Supper Time, according to the food blog we read about must eat food in Singapore (H loves reading food blog!), H brought me to this really yummy Japanese restaurant! Open until late night, so good for late-night-gets-hungry-easily-humanbeing like me ;)

Warning*** Quite pricey!

Lastly, present you the my kind of tourist MUST TAKE SHOT ;)

Day 3 = Last Day

till then,

Singapore'13

2013-04-18T06:57:00.000-07:00

I finalieee update my blog! Yes I just did and I know right?!

Too much blogging this semester just motivate me to do it again. I have been real busy with my ~~TV and Radio Blog~~ and I need something more casual and personal to keep my life alive!

And another reason is I really want to share my awesome holiday back in February! (OMG!) I know I'm way toooo late but who cares? As long as is a great place to travel to!

Not much description will be explained, let the picture do the talking ;)

Hope you all enjoy!

Apparently, chicken rice is a MUST eat food in Singapore! I was sooo amazed when my sister told me about this because I never knew Singapore is famous for their chicken rice!

AnoTHEr reason why I'm in Singapore :)

Love the wall decoration in Ippudo Ramen!! If you happened to visit Singapore, MUST eat Ippudo! So good. I haven't try the one in Malaysia though! Can't wait now :)

Address: 333A Orchard Rd Singapore 238897

My Day 1 dinner at Long Beach. No idea which branch I went to cause sister brought us there, but I'm pretty sure they all taste the same :)

Sri Lanka Crab which is the EXTRA LARGE crab is another MUST eat in Singapore!! Is so good to the extend the boyfie had to order on our last night here in Singapore! So much love for crab lover like me!

Spent our night drinking at Riverside. It was a tiring but great day 1 spent in Singapore! Stay tuned for Day 2! I promise won't be long :)

#8 15mins at CHANDON, 2 Hours away from home!

2012-11-02T23:59:00.001-07:00

I guess my title explained it all. Our original road trip was supposed to be a day trip to Innocent Bystander, but because this time we have a guest along, so we decided to first drop by to Chandon to have a taste of wine! This is my first time visiting this place. It was just a short drive from Melbourne around an hour.

Chandon was established by French champagne house Moet & Chandon in 1986 and is dedicated to the production of method traditional sparking wine and premium quality, cool-climate still wines - chanson.com.au

We had our lunch @ Giant Step, just right opposite the white rabbit brewery which is the next place I'll be referring to.

White Rabbit uses four basic ingredients to make great beer, which is water, malt, hops and yeast but the magic happens when you expend your mind and step into a world where fermentation is dosed with a generous amount of imagination - White Rabbit

The brewing process!

White Rabbit offered 3 kinds of beer which is white ale, apple cider and dark ale.

Overview of the brewery.

Cupid < 3

On the way back, we dropped by another drinking shop, named Coldstream. It comes in a combination of 5.

1: Coldstream Pilsner (4.5%) - A refreshing European-style lager that is crisp, fresh and aromatic, generous hopping gives a pleasant bitterness, providing a lovely clean finish.

2: Coldstream Original Ale (4.9%) - A delicious golden ale brewed with premium English malting barley and delicately hopped with the classic Fuggles and kent goldings. This traditional ale pours with a beautiful creamy head a exhibits a full bodied maltiness with a gentle bitter finish.

3: Coldstream Doppelbock (7.5%) - Doppelbock is a stronger version of traditional back, first brewed in munich by Paulaner monks. Dark Gold in color, with a malty sweetness mild fruitiness and a medium finish.

4: Coldstream Autumn Porter (4.8%) - A smooth, creamy dark ale with a rich roasted-malt character. A blend of several dark malts gives this beer a complexity and depth of flavor, combining coffee and dark burnt toast tones, enhanced by late hopping with a heavy charge of atom hops.

And last by not least,

5: Coldstream Cider (5%) - A refreshing pale straw colour cider, hand-crafted on a traditional rack and cloth press. Long cold conditioning ensures a delightful crisp apple character with subtle spicy notes.

Signing off with a picture of U S :)

Sillie aka Poser :P

Yours Truly aka self-ca-er

Have a nice daysss everyone,

#7 STEER, Melbourne

2012-10-30T21:03:00.003-07:00

Steer, guide or control the movement of a person/vehicle or aircraft. So, the first thing came to my mind was 'a cow' control the movement? LoL. Sillie and I always wanted to give Steer a try. Finally, here's our chance to enjoy a scrumptious dinner with great accompanied once again.

Steer offered a New-York style diner of the BEST steaks $$$ can buy in Melbourne. I have to agree with that! I'm not a steak person until I tried Steer. Steer may looks like an expensive restaurant outside, but actually, is a friendly and price-reasonable restaurant. You just pay a little extra more to enjoy a one chest hat.

Our date for the night <3 font="font">

Bell and Khye

Look at their professionalism! Lots of choices to choose from! Range from Oyster Blade Blackmore, Rib Eye on the Bone Blackmore, Rib eye on the Bone O'Connor Premium, Rib eye on the Bone Rangers Valley, Rib Eye on the Bone Sher Ranch, Eye Fillet Steer Select by Cape Grim, Cowboy Steak Rangers Valley, Rump Blackmore, Spinalis O'Connor Premium, Scotch O'Connor Premium, New York Strip Rangers Valley, Porterhouse Darling Downs, Rib eye on the bone castricum beef and others. You can go on to Steer.

Here comes the food, they served really adorable and yummy bread

1) David Blackmore Wagyu Oyster Blade Tataki

2) Calamari with Pork Belly

3) Side Dish- Asparagus

4) Should be Eye-Fillet. LoL, I forgotten!

5) Scotch Fillet I guess?

6) Ours : Rib Eye, BMS 7, 1000g.

Sauces to be match with : from what we remembered : All Kind of Mustards from seeded to hot english mustard : Mayonnaise : Tomato relish : Garlic sauce

FREE dessert :)

A BIG thanks to Bell for the gift.

Thanks to this beautiful lady.

Thanks Sillie for another great night :*

Best Steak in Town! Give it a try for all beef lovers! ;)

Stay tune!

#5 Attica, Melbourne

2012-10-28T06:18:00.000-07:00

Say What?! I'm ON HOLIDAY! like finally! Who doesn't like/want holidays. I LOVE Holidays! Because that's the only time I'm free to enjoy every little things I do. No stress. Yes, a bit. *Result* However, my holiday would not last more than a month because I'm taking spring subject and I'm all excited to learn france this spring. Okie, enough of my nonsense. Let's get back to my Chapter 5, Attica, is an exceptional restaurant located in the suburb of Ripponlca, Melbourne, Australia.

Attica is a 3 Hat chef restaurant (2012), Awarded as Restaurant of the year (2012) and Ranked 53rd in the WORLD! So is definitely worth giving it a try ;) And since I'm already in Melbourne, why not? Thanks Sillie for the awesome nights, with awesome friends!

Dates for the night <3 font="font">

When I first found out that Attica is a top 100 restaurant in the world, I stressing out to find the right outfit to go with it. But I do not want to dress up too serious for the night because based on others' review, it does not seems like a five star/ higher star restaurant.

When I first walk in, the staff greeted us with a lovely smile on their face. Service is knowledge, friendly and they are all passionate about the dishes! You will eventually 'explode' that when they present the food. The ambience was great, the people was great, the accompanied even greater :D

Bread, as usual. The BUTTER was so good!!

I forgotten the dishes name before the main ones. BUT.. None of us like this dish. Is a kind of vegetable from their garden. Yes! They have their own garden (most of the vegetable, for cook/for decoration purposes) are from their garden nearby the restaurant.

This petite little ones are hazelnut. Some may like it some may not. Like myself, I find it good and Sillie doesn't really like it. Is definitely a personal preference dish.

And again. I'm a very forgetful person. And I couldn't remember all the dishes the staff explained. But this was yummy! If I'm not mistaken is fried mussel. And I still don't get it why decorate with a-sad-wooden-man-face.

Awww.. I miss this bowl of clear mushroom soup a whole lot! Is so goooood! I'm giving this mushroom with a little bit of flower feeling double like!

Finally! Here comes our dishes :) We pick the 5 course Tasting Menu because we compared and we concluded that we can't finish them all and the food and price doesn't make much difference :) And every different other day, they serve different menu. We went on a Thursday. So they offer 5 & 8 course tasting menu. Check their website for contact and menu details. They change every month.

Attica

1) Crab and Artichoke Leaves

2) Their famous: A simple dish of Potato cooked in the earth it was grown

3) King george whiting in paperbark

Because Jie (Mei Li's bf) can't take any milky and buttery food. So he got a replacement. (No idea what is that, but he loves it)

4) Flinders Island Wallaby, Bunya Pine, Ground Berry

(So GOOODDD!)

5) Native Fruits of Australia

I'm a big fan of ice cream, dessert, chocolate, basically everything sweets and milky, just like any other girl. But frankly, I never like dessert like this, they are too real to be good (For Me). I would prefer a bowl of vanilla ice-cream instead of a natural made dessert like this. Weird, I know.

And lastly, guess what they serve us :) Is an chocolate caramel 'egg' .. I love it so much although is a little too sweet, but.. you know what I mean! Overall, I enjoyed my night very much, like I mentioned earlier, great food with great accompanied. The service was great! And the food! And everything else! Definitely worth the pay! I strongly recommend all of you to give it a try if you're in Melbourne!

Yes! No doubt, I'm putting on a few kilo already! :( BUT! I made a promise, I will get back to a healthy body! Thanks for popping by! Stay tune for another dinner day out <3 font="font" nbsp="nbsp">

#4 Royal Melbourne Show (RMS) 2012

2012-10-19T05:49:00.001-07:00

Honestly, I feel like I'm a visitor more than a student in Melbourne. I'm so happy to say this. LOL. So, I went RMS last month, is my first time joining to this event. The first time I heard about this RMS, I was thinking maybe I get to watch performance like circus? Or animal show? Who knows is more likely a fun fair plus petting zoo. Erm.. not really petting zoo, more to farms. Another LOL to myself! We went on a Sunday which is a family day, therefore a crowded event is unavoidable. But we managed to play and watch what we wanted. As you can see from the picture below, our ticket is $31 and you get $20 rebate to play. So basically the entrance fees is about $11.

One of our dates. Bell & Khye (Looking at the map! IT's HUGE!)

Giant fried sausage!

Like a kid, Silly Boy trying very hard to win something for me <3 font="font" nbsp="nbsp">

EuroSlide! My favorite! Only $3 per person! Definitely worth trying!

Petting Zoo, mostly sheep (all kinds) and cows! A few ducks! LOL

Leon making fun!

This farm boy sitting on his farm cow, he says the cow won't get angry. How adorable?!

They have fireworks on Sunday @ 830pm! Is soooo beautiful, they also have performer who plays with fire and perform according to the music - I remembered one of the song played was Katy Perry's Firework! Works 100%

Night view is the BEST!

~~Ghost house~~! I was forced and I dare myself also to give it a try. Cheh :P ! But I was warned beforehand that is really scary but they are humans! So nothing to worry! BUTTT, I was screaming, hiding behind Bell (Really sorry!) and closed my eyes all the way! LOL, so basically I pay the money to frighten myself. But I managed to peek a bit by bit, they are really good!! and the settings amazed me! BUT, too scary :'( HAHAHA!

Aren't she just very pretty, even with the colorful butterfly drawing on her face. I just can't resists to take a picture with her. YES! She refused and I just had to! HAHAHA! Signing off with her pretty face! Coming up next would be a dinner date! Stay tune!

#3 Tulip Festival

2012-10-14T20:06:00.000-07:00

Spring is here in Melbourne! However, isn't any warmer. Came from a tropical country, I have always wish to stay in a four season country! But when I finally get a chance to experience the cold windy weather, I starting to beg Mr.Sun to shine on us! Moving to the main topic, we went Tulip Farm last (x3) Sunday as is Tulip Festival last month.

Aren't Tulips just simply beautiful? I enjoyed myself very much that day because I love visiting greens and colorful farm. Nature beauty are always the best! How can any girls resist to bring them home?! We went on a Sunday around mid-afternoon. When we arrived, we are amazed by the amount of people visiting as well, I guess because is Sunday? Everyone spending their family day looking at Tulips! How nice! Sadly, it was drizzling for approximately 10 mins, so everywhere is muddy.

Yes, so Bell and Khye was with us during our visit to Tulip Festival. One of the well-known blogger in Malaysia. I have to admit that she's a very sweet and down to earth person. Thanks for being such an amazing visitor!

Some couple shots we took!

Oops! If you notice, there's a blurry part in the photo (above) because there's a passerby and I had to do so so that we remain the main attraction of this picture. LOL. No la! I want it to be just two of us, perfect this way.

Ending my post with an epic picture of myself. (Like farting :/ ) hahahaha!! RMS coming up next!

#2 First concert in Melbourne!

2012-10-13T00:39:00.002-07:00

Digging back my memories, the last concert I attended back in Malaysia was Lee Hom's concert early this year (If I'm not wrong). I was lucky enough to be able to watch his performance as a VVIP, all thanks to Mr.M. It is undeniable he is one of my favorite chinese singer after 张学友&郭富城. Watching live show is really different from watching video at home. So in love with his guitar! Very LeeHom style :)

Who knows I will get a chance to watch concert in Melbourne too! I swear I will not spent my money on buying concert ticket. I'm never a fan of concert unless the singers are those who hardly perform nowadays! Thanks to the lover of mine! I was lucky enough (again) to attend Gary Cao sensational World Tour - Melbourne as a VVIP! Thank you God for giving me such a satisfying life and lovely people around me! This time is much more different because we get to watch his concert in an exhibition hall with air-condition and comfortable-cinema-like-seat and enjoy the show. How nice!

One thing very different about attending concert in Malaysia and Melbourne is definitely the atmosphere! Malaysian would scream their lungs out to say 'I LOVE YOU' or sing along with their singer whereas in Melbourne, everyone just quietly enjoy the show and they will cheer for their idol softly. Perhaps, Malaysian are more enthusiasm?

Special Gust (Forgotten her name! But she's good in singing)

Enjoyed myself very much that night! :) xo

Missing the GOOD OLD times

2012-10-12T08:10:00.003-07:00

Hello Everyone! I hope everyone is doing great! I have so much to blog, but I'm finding hard time to upload everything as October is the most hectic month for student like me who's studying a subject that is fully assignment base. Rushing up and down, staying up late almost every night for the past week. Finally! Today is my last day of semester! *jumps* Now I just can't wait to hand in all my assignment and fly!

Using a long ago picture to blog today because I'm missing those good old times I had back in Malaysia! I miss dancing and performing with the bunch so much! Dancing is so much fun! Pictures taken last May when we are selected to prepare for the 'Tourism for Malaysia Day'. It was a great experience! Dancing with almost-the-whole-dance-school-girls and performing in front of V.I.P (President from various country). Besides! There are almost 6K dancers performing that night as well. And we represented as a contemporary art like drawings.

We got all our costumes sponsor! Sponsor as in wearing it for performance only. We were asked to return everything including the eye mask! (why can't we just have them, i know right! Haha). YES! Is really suffocating to wear thick-white-cotton-long-sleeve to dance! Plus mine is turtle neck! Was sweating like ~~I just ran 2KM non-stop~~. Although we only perform once and a few minutes dance. And very time consuming! BUT, overall. It was an experience that you will not find in any other sport.

Indeed, do not waste our quality time!

Ending my post with a picture of me and Adeline. Missing you so much! You made the time I spent doing silly things during the performance more valuable, yes! You're the most comfortable person I can laugh and play silly with! <3 font="font">

#1 Lake Mountain @ MELBOURNE

2012-09-20T07:01:00.004-07:00

First post about Melbourne will be my 1st road trip to Lake Mountain @ Melbourne! Woke up at 8am in the morning, left around 9am. Sillie (Edric) done some research on what we can do while we are on the way to L.Mountain. So, our first stop will be Yarra Valley Diary! Interested in getting fresh cheese? Here's definitely your stop :)

Homemade ice-cream w fresh milk :) comes with variety of flavors (Vanilla,Chocolate,Orange, berries, etc) Our pick: Expresso

Looking good pastries!

It's time for FOODD! The overview of the restaurant. Dine in at Giant Step, is a restaurant on the way to L.Mountain. Here's a place to chill out & have your meal in a long wooden tables staring about to sleek silver contemporary design. Is a place with great food and great wine! Giant Step are famous for their wine. It is because these wines are not produced each year if vintage conditions do not allow and hard to find in retail outlets.

We had Moscato < 3

Chee Zhen was in charge to order pizza. It turned out to be a vegetarian pizza. Is full of red chili, olive, and some kind of vege w cheese on top. We can't even finish 6 slides of pizza. It is strongly recommended you ask the servants to recommend you. Because the words are mostly Italy language.

Weeeee! Lake Mountain! finally :D They offer skiing and snow play. We all had lots of fun :D However, the snow in L.Mountain is using snowmaking machines replicate nature by converting water into snow. Overall, is still enjoyable! We even made a snowman. Another thing to pay attention is make sure you check the weather and snow condition a day before! And make sure go up earlier because is really dangerous to drive down hill in dark :)

Me and Sillie

C.Zhen and Evi

Evi and I :)

Me and Sillie, the person who never stop trying :) that's why his name is Silly! Hahahaha!

Le Midi , Bangsar

2012-05-28T04:20:00.000-07:00

They always say enjoy while you can! YESSS! I totally agree with that saying <3 When you're living such a fast-paced lifestyle, you have to grab every opportunity to let loose and just treat yourself with good food and good accompany! :D I needed this! All thanks to my busy schedule :(

Can't wait till holiday, 2 more weeks! Oh yaaa! forgive me ! I won't be updating very often this two week ;) (at least I warn first)

Taking a short break to 'redeem' my birthday dinner w Mr.M (((:

YES! 'redeem' because during the month of my birthday which is April.. I was way too busy :( And drag till now :/ So!!! M decided to bring me to Le Midi located at Bangsar Shopping Center, top floor. Is a french italian restaurant, with great ambience, good food and great service provided I must say! :)

I'm not a fan of fine dining, but I enjoy myself very much every time I go for fine dining. I would say I 'learn' every time I go for fine dining as I'm more of a loud person ((: Fine dining is a total different experience, and I might embarrass myself :P

Here comes the foooodddd :D :

Mushroom Cappuccino Sup (with bubble, and it taste sooo good! )

Maine Lobster Cream Soup

Seafood Salad : Appetizer

Wagyu Sirloin : Main course

Dutch Lemonsole : Main

Italian Lemonade

Pannacotta : Dessert

Tiramisu (very strong alcohol :) If u like w strong taste of alcohol, go for it!)
