I Have Not Post In Awhile....I'm Back

2015-03-18T16:28:00.000-07:00

Growing Up....

I need to take this moment to apologize. Now this is not an ordinary apology but one that is needed nonetheless. It is an apology to myself. If I could address everyone I owe an apology to I'd be writing too many letters. I'm sorry for being gone to anyone that was reading my blog. I was growing up.

R.I.P. VESTA WILLIAMS - Passes Away In Her Hotel Room

2011-09-23T08:43:00.000-07:00

Me and my team heart goes out to the family of Vesta Williams. She was well before my time but one of my parents favorite artist of the 80's. The R&B singer was found dead in her El Segundo, California Hotel Room.

After she lost her record deal she went on writing songs for others and being a session singer. Ms. Williams became a huge advocate of childhood obesity and juvenile diabetes. Our continued prayers to the family.

UPDATE: Vesta is reported to have checked into the hotel with an unidentified man, who is now missing. However, death is being investigated as an accident or suicide, not a homicide.

I had the pleasure in meeting some awesome people. I can't wait to see me riding too!!!!

Keeping Kids on Horses and Off the Streets

These are challenging times for everyone, especially for youth. The Compton Jr. Posse (CJP) was developed to provide inner-city youth with year round after school alternatives to the lure of gang and drug lifestyles. For over 20 years, the Compton Jr. Posse has given inner city kid’s hope by teaming them with horses. Through these equestrian activities, youth develop responsibility, discipline and self-esteem. Students learn to set and achieve both academic and career goals. There can be no better investment in their future.

CJP has set $1.3 million as our 3 year campaign goal in order to improve our educational, outreach and ranching components. In addition, we want our newly created equestrian team to continue competition with our eyes set on the Olympics. These things will help our students to become eligible for equestrian scholarships at some of the top colleges in the country. CJP students train with many top national trainers including 2008 Olympic Gold Medalist Will Simpson and Olympic Bronze Medalist- International Dressage Judge Charlotte Bredahl-Baker. In 2010, we launched a Mounted Jr. Ranger Program in conjunction with the Mountains Recreation and Conservation Authority.

President Obama Anounces The Death of Osama Bin Laden

2011-05-01T21:40:00.000-07:00

Tonight's breaking news comes nine years, since September 11th, 2001, when close to 3,000 American citizens were killed during a terrorist attack that our nation has ever experienced. Today, Sunday, May 1, 2011, President Barack Obama made a announcement from the White House telling the world that he approved an American strike force to attack and kill the leader of the global terrorist group, Al-Qaeda, and that mission was successful; his body is in American custody.

I can remember that day vividly, I was 4 years old and my mom left the house on the way to my agency and the 405 freeway was empty. When I say empty it was maybe three cars on the freeway, that was a very scary day.

President Bush Declared Mission Accomplished on May 1, 2003...very ironic, It's May 1, 2011 and Mission Really is Accomplished. Pray for our Nation.

TWINS!!!! Mariah Carey & Nick Cannon Welcomes A Baby Boy & Baby Girl (Two In One)

2011-04-30T14:01:00.000-07:00

According to Mrs.Carey's representative, Cindi Berger, confirmed the births . Mr. Cannon & Mariah gave birth Saturday at 12:07 p.m. at a hospital in Los Angeles. The the baby girl was born first, weighing 5 pounds, 3 ounces, and was 18 inches long; her brother was next, at 5 pounds 6 ounces, and was 19 inches.
Berger says the couple has not named the children yet. They went to the hospital in style in their Rolls-Royce Phantom. Mr. Nick Cannon was so nervous he went to the wrong department at the hospital, and was guided to the maternity ward by a nurse. "It was like right out of an 'I Love Lucy' skit," said Berger. The family is happy and healthy, and the children have not been named yet.

A tweet from Mariah's rep on Twitter also confirmed the great news. "Congratulations to Mariah & Nick on the birth of #dembabies!! Born, April 30th at 12:07pm ET. Mommy, Daddy & #dembabies are all doing fine!" the post read.

The First Family Whips Their Hair At The Easter Egg Roll - With Willow Smith

2011-04-24T16:48:00.000-07:00

Presidential daughters Malia and Sasha and some 30,000 invited guest will get a dose of Whip my hair sensation Willow Smith at the Easter Egg Roll stage together with internet sensation Grayson Chance and other performing artists.

The White House 2011 Egg Roll celebrity line up includes Colbie Caillat, Greyson Chance, Willow Smith, Mindless Behavior, etc. Chefs Jacque Pepin, Art Smith, Marcella Valladolid, Carla Hall, Sesame Street, and Little Beats and will perform on the Rockin’ Egg Roll Stage.

The White House 2011 Easter Egg Roll is the biggest public event on the White House calendar, according to the source. This year's theme, "Get Up and Go!" coincides Michelle Obama's Let's Move campaign, and focuses on promoting health and wellness and encouraging children to lead healthy and active lives.
In fact among the more emphasized activity is the Eggtivity Zone where professional athlete players and coaches from professional sports teams are present to teach kids how to play sports and show kids to stay active and fit.

Though they are encouraging healthy snacks, the White House doesn’t seem to mind if kids feast on Easter treats with their fingers. Chefs Jacque Pepin, Art Smith, trainer Az Ferguson, Marcela Valladolid, Carla Hall and the White House chefs will hold healthy eating demonstrations at the Play With Your Food station.

2010 Egg Roll

There will also be 14,500 hard-boiled and dyed eggs for the egg roll and the egg hunt and 83,000 souvenir wooden eggs complete with the president and first lady’s signatures. Chirping eggs will be provided for visually impaired children.

In the spirit of Michelle Obama and Jill Biden’s “Joining Forces” initiative, more than 4,000 tickets were distributed to military families.

Also in attendance "Mindless Behavior"

Rebecca Black Is Not Telling The Truth - She Lied On The Jay Leno Show

2011-04-22T11:08:00.000-07:00

I got an interesting call from my friend Willow, yesterday. Okay, I always give people the benefit of the doubt, and I am not quick to judge, that is how I am being raised; but to go on National TV and lie about who you have met. I would not have known about this interview until my Friend Willow Smith pointed it out to me. It re-aired last night and I saw it for myself; Rebecca Black said she met Willow Smith; UH, "NOT". (5:05 in the interview)

Now, yes you are an internet sensation, Congratulations on your career; but to lie about who you know and who you have met, that is RIDICULOUS. I thought the tune is catchy and I won't comment on the song. "It got you noticed and that is great!!!! Yes, people are being mean to her for no reason, and I don't condone that behavior at all. At least she is doing something for herself; give her a break.

But, Rebecca please don't lie, people will find out. That's like lying on your resume saying you were in this and that movie or tv show; when all you did was background. Don't get me wrong, background is work and it works for those who enjoy doing it. Hey, I have done two background roles, but they are not on my resume. Background actors are true actors working their way up to the next level and a picture would not get made without them, I tip my hat!!!

But never lie about who you met, that person will find out. I am going to pray and ask God to forgive you.

(5:05 in the interview)

50 Tyson Has a Record Deal

2011-04-22T10:31:00.000-07:00

50 Tyson is a autistic rapper. 18 yrs odl, and already famous. via the internet.
It began when he snuck his sister's camera and pointed it at himself as he spit rhymes into the bathroom mirror.. He was a YouTube sensation, instantly. He has something most YouTube sensations don't. He has a record deal. And he is laughing at those who laughed at him all the way to the bank.

Troy Hudson is a music mogul. Well, that's the plan, anyway. Hudson is a former NBA player. He played for 50 Tyson's hometown Timberwolves. Afterward, Hudson started a record company. He heard of the Tyson with the YouTube views, saw him, called him, met him, signed him. "50 Tyson Presents The Rhythm of Autism Vol. 1," was recently released for the campaign with National Autism Awareness Month.

Antonio Henderson-Davis (his rap nickname came when someone said he looked like a cross between Mike Tyson and 50 Cent). His charisma is undeniable. "People are not laughing at him," Hudson says. "They're laughing with him." Bless him in his career.
