Closing this weekend, Crazy Beautiful is a photography exhibition curated by Six Wolves inspired by the excitement, mayhem and absolute beauty of Australian Fashion Week.

Captured by Australia’s leading photographers Steven Siewert, Eddy Ming, Elvis Di Fazio, Sonny Vandevelde and Mick Bruzzese, the exhibition presents an incredible collection of photographs that reveal the amazing and chaotic world behind the catwalk.

A video installation will premiere a short film created at this year’s Rosemount Australian Fashion Week, brilliantly capturing a silent beauty and the hidden moments that no one else noticed.

Swap Your Frock, a clothing exchange with a difference is a new event inspired by the Spring Racing Carnival.

At 6.30pm this Friday 10th September, head to Federation Square for the latest event hosted by The Clothing Exchange. This particular event has a specific Spring Racing carnival focus and is a great opportunity to clear out your wardrobes and find something new in the process.

Garments are swapped for buttons which then become your currency to grab new goodies. A wonderful opportunity to take something from your wardrobe that still has life and to give these pieces a second chance, and the best thing is that they are saved from landfill.

What do you do? Bring six (6) garments or accessories that you value but you don’t wear anymore to swap. Tickets at the door are subject to availability, so it’s recommended that you book online.

launch party is TONIGHT!!!

Inspired by the 40th anniversary since the break-up of The Beatles, the theme of this carefully curated exhibition, titled DisBand, is the end of relationships, be they romantic or otherwise.  Having set up in Sydney in May, we’re proud to be in the somewhat more freezing location of Melbourne this week!

We have put together a  mid-century styled furniture installation where visitors can tour the virtual apartment of a couple undergoing such a split, and the featured art works are on “their” walls.

We could NOT have completed all of this without the help of Leeloo label DisBand exhibition artist and architect extraordinaire Jessica Hyde of truth.be.told.

We have some never before seen works by Ben Zen, Jordan Clarke, Enyaj, Courtney Brims, Renee Anne, Jessica Hyde, Erin Flannery and Elisa Mazzone as well as originals by Natalie Perkins, Caitlin Shearer, Manuela Strano, Rebecca Murphy, Laura McKellar, Jessica Klingelfuss, Kelly Smith and tabitha emma.

Artworks will be available for sale with all welcome for the duration, and we look forward to seeing you !  All walks of life are welcome.

Remember this?  The lovely Petrova is still designing beautiful clothing and to quote a Beatle, it’s getting better all the time.

The high summer collection Peace Hotel is the upcoming range by the  gorgeous Lady Petrova of Melbourne town.  Inspired by Petrova’s recent travels to Shanghai and her love of 70′s and 80′s power ballads (a girl after my own heart) this is one designer who wears her Australian-made heart literally on her sleeve,

With a range of ultra feminine pieces with an ice cream colour palette, printed silks and vintage inspired cotton laces,  Petrova often incorporates mutliple uses into her garments, and focuses on the use of comfortable and natural fabrics in unique silhouettes with quirky details while ensuring the quality of her work through local production.
