apparently rep. bachmann has never bothered to crack open a text book in her life. facts mean nothing to her. maybe at some point republicans will start to deal in facts. until then, this is what we will have to deal with.

to all you lovely people who are "ashamed" of our country. who think that president obama has been apologizing to terrorists and hanging out with dictators. interesting that during the election he was "hanging out" and "paling around" with terrorists, not much has changed on the right. sometimes i doubt if it ever will. i was no fan of secretary clinton during the primaries, but she has some brilliant words for rep. pence, who apparently never read a history book in his life.

i completely agree with her closing comments. we tried isolationism for eight years, it hasn't really seemed to work. our countries relationships with venezuela, iran, russia and a host of others were worsened by the bush administration, not made better. if i remember there was an attempt to boycott france? why france? why not china, who continues violate basic human rights on a daily basis. (oh that's right they make everything we consume, and everything we used to make.) to those of you who say so what. imagine if you didn't talk to half of the people in your neighborhood. people across the street, two or three houses away. people across the hall in your apartament building. wouldn't your life be much fuller and richer if you did?

i'm sitting in the window of greater trumps, drinking a hammerhead and smoking an exquisite padron cigar. i got kicked out of the house tonight because it's ladies night. something about a potluck and 12 crazy ladies. estrogen overload.

i was working on some music copying for bandleader whom i have an upcoming gig with. the charts he gave me are shruken down by roughly 50%. he wants them enlarged, and on separate parts for a gig that's coming up. basically it entails me entering the notation into sibelius. i've got no midi setup, and i'm working on a laptop. this means i have no numeric keypad. i'm reduced to hitting the Fn key to simulate the numeric keypad. it's darker than hell in here and i keep hitting the wrong damn keys. my half notes are turning into quarters, sharps into flats and all sorts of chaos. the first chart i attempted was a nightingale sang in berkely square. after entering a few lines of notation it looked like a schoenberg arrangement instead of a frank mantooth chart. not good.

after a serious round of cursing under my breath, and some healthy glugs of beer, i realized what a dipshit i am. all i need to do is take the charts home, scan them, resize them and save them to pdf. no hassle and a modicum of work. i can also charge the bandleader a much more reasonable fee.

wtf? hey mr. president who is in charge over there? why does your tax evading, dipshit, secretary of the treasury want this neal wolin character to be his number two? he helped craft the deregulation legislation that you all say put us in this predicament. why not just ask phil gramm? it's the same damn thing. this joker helped to craft the legislation! you expressed faux outrage at aig for giving bonuses to derivative traders. how about some outrage for the people that got this ball rolling? people like larry summers, who now advises you, are just as responsible for the current state of affairs as those aig traders. there have got to be some people out there who can help you fix this. i for one, would like to see people in charge who didn't help create the problem.

on a side note, i didn't vote for hillary clinton. i voted for you. i'm kinda sick of seeing so many hold overs from the clinton administration in your administration. especially summers, the guy is a sexist creep.
