The Carolina Theater in Durham, NC is a gem of an institution. This year they are celebrating the venue's 100th Anniversary! Managed as a local non-profit - it's a refreshing and way more affordable option to the mega-corporate venues that are becoming most common. I recommend you visit sometime. It's wonderful place to experience great live music!

JRAD kicks off their tour in style, performing for thousands of fans in Durham.

JRAD kicks off their tour with a bang with a sold out show at Durham Performing Arts Center (DPAC) in Durham, NC. A large indoor theater that in the past has hosted hot shows from bands like Widespread Panic, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Steely Dan, Bob Weir & the Wolf Bros & many more. JRAD may be the only "cover" band to have sold out the room that I can recall. But then again, JRAD is not your typical tribute act.

The band plans to wrap up their touring this year, but you may still have chances to see them by traveling to various festivals or special events. The Big What? 2025 lit up Shakori Hills with Big Something, Sunsquabi, Susto & more for three days of music, laughter, and late-night communion.

The Big What? returned to the rolling green fields of Shakori Hills with joy wired straight into the PA, a communal heartbeat echoing across the North Carolina countryside. The festival opened like a familiar book, its lush meadows, shady paths and sunny skies framing two stages that traded bands like good neighbors without any overlaps. No lines, nowhere to hurry to, just a steady circulation of grins.

Big Something’s joyous festival The Big What? returned for 3 uplifting days of music, art and community in sunny NC.

Nestled once again in the lush expanse of the Shakori Hills Community Arts Center in Pittsboro, NC, The Big What? was a harmonious blend of soulful music and shared laughter held from August 22-24. Now in its twelfth year, the festival - hosted by North Carolina's own Big Something - felt like a reunion of old friends and a warm welcome to new faces.
