Cookies and Cram is today from 3:15 to 5pm in the commons. Come enjoy some free cookies and punch while you get extra help studying with teachers and peers.

Attention 9th, 10^th, and 11th grade students: Please clean and empty your locker no later than Tuesday, May 23 at 3:00. All lockers will be searched for damage and emptied on Wednesday, May 24 at 12:30. If any damage is found, a fine will be added to your account. Any items left in the lockers will be donated to a local charity at the end of the June.

AP Students if you still need to check out textbooks in order to complete your summer homework, stop by the book depository on Wednesday, May 24 after school. Or you can stop by the book depository the week after Memorial Day Tuesday, May 30 through Friday, June 2 between 7:00-11:00am & 1:00-3:00pm. Please remember to bring your ID in order to check out books.

Anime club will hold its final meeting today in B105. We'll be watching a full length movie, so plan on staying til 5:00. See you in B105 for the last Anime club meeting!!

Wednesday: Legacy Varsity Girls’ Soccer will take on Mtn. Vista in the soccer quarterfinals. We are so proud of you girls!!!

Thursday track heads to state at Jeffco Stadium and Friday Boys Swim goes to Colorado Springs for the state swim championships after their third place win last weekend.

Friday: Our Legacy Varsity Baseball Team, for the first time in school history will be advancing to state with their win against the Brighton bulldogs 12-5 last weekend. Stay tuned for more information about time and location of upcoming game.

SENIORS continue to check online for any outstanding balance to be charged. Balances are due at check in to be able to pick up your graduation items and walk at graduation. Don’t let your balance stop you from walking at graduation.

Senior dessert is tonight at 6:30pm in the large gym. Tickets are $10 at the door. Can’t wait to see you there.

Legacy has an action packed weekend coming up!

Friday: Come out and support your Legacy Varsity Girls’ Soccer team tomorrow night as the girls take on Heritage HS in the second round of state playoffs. The game will be at North Stadium at 6:00pm start time. We are so proud of you girls!!!

Saturday: Our Legacy Varsity Baseball Team will be hosting regionals this weekend come out and cheer them on. There will be no admission fee. Game times are:

Legacy vs. Mullen at 10am

Brighton vs. Pine Creek at 12:30pm

Winner of the first two games will playoff at 3pm.

Congratulations to the Legacy Girls’ Tennis team for a great season. A special congratulations goes to Jordyn Korb and Christine Weitz for earning a 4^thplace finish at regionals. We also have a #1 & #4 doubles teams finish 4^th. We have a great young team and we are looking forward to big things next year. We would like to give a special thanks to our managers and tennis coaches for pulling through the season.

If you are interested in becoming a Class Officer for next year, there will be an informational meeting today at 3:15pm in the library.

Attention Model United Nations club: Congratulations are in order. At the last statewide competition of the year, Matt Strong and Fahad (Fa-had) Shaik (Sh-ai-kh) who won 1st place for best delegation in their committee. Commendable performances were also shown by Sophie Thomas, Noah Tibbetts, Alasder (Al-as-deer) Bennet, Aram (Air-am) Gevorgian (Gee-vor-gee), and Ryan Maegley (Mag-lee). All incoming and outgoing club officers meet today after school in the LMC.

Today & tomorrow there will be a table outside the F-Hallway where you can write a note of kindness to your friends and fellow classmates to be delivered later in the week. When you write a note of kindness, you will in turn receive a free sticker for your water bottle or laptop.

Attention Seniors! Adams 12 Five Star Schools awards the Five Star Diploma, which is a distinction in addition to the standard Adams 12 diploma, to students who have met academic criteria that exceed the minimum requirements to earn a high school diploma. These criteria include, in part, earning 24 or more credits, having a GPA of 3.5 or higher, and taking one or more courses in World Language.

We have posted a list of students who we currently believe have earned this distinction in the counseling department. If you believe you are eligible for this distinction, please check to ensure that your name is on this list. If it is not on the list, you can submit a request for us to review your records. These requests must be turned in no later than today, Tuesday, April 18^th. Please see the counseling department with any questions.

Bonjour! Buenos dias! Guten Tag! Legacy's 6th Annual International Festival is taking place this Wednesday, April 19 in the large gym and upper commons from 2:30 until 4:00. Take a trip around the globe as you sample a variety of delicious world cuisines and immerse yourself in the language, art and music of exciting world cultures. And, don't forget about the visual language, the one that is not spoken...American Sign Language will be there too. All are welcome, and admission is free.

Just a reminder regarding state testing this week….

Tomorrow Tuesday, April 11, 10^thand 11^th graders please make sure to bring a calculators for the PSAT and SAT testing! Leave cell phones/smart watches in your locker or at home. PSAT testing for 10^th graders will begin at 7:15am and the SAT testing for 11^th graders will begin at 8:15am. There is no school for 9^th and 12^thgraders tomorrow, Tuesday. Testing rooms will be posted around the school later today. SAT testing will take place in the D hallways and PSAT testing will take place in the B hallways.

On Wednesday, April 12, 9^thgraders will take PARCC testing. 9^thgraders please be sure to bring calculators on Wednesday! PARCC testing for 9^th graders will begin at 7:15am. There will be no school for 10^th, 11^th, and 12^th graders on Wednesday. Please leave all cell phones/smart watches in your locker or at home. Testing rooms will be posted Wednesday morning in the hallways.

Come out and support the Girls’ Soccer team today at North Stadium at 6pm against Fort Collins.

Backpacks to Briefcases will be held on Monday, April 17th at the Denver Merchandise Mart. This event is designed to help you navigate life after high school. Let’s face it, how many of us actually know what we need to do to make it in the real world? Participating in this event will equip you for everything from how to dress for the job you want, how to set goals, what makes a good first impression and how to use table manners to your advantage during an interview…or even a date. Plus, you’ll meet business professionals who want to help you get to the next step in your life! See your counselor ASAP to register by tomorrow!

Are you interested in trying out for one of the Legacy high school cheer teams? Are you completely new to the sport of high school cheerleading? Pre-Tryout Workshops Are For You! We offer pre-tryout workshops for those who are looking to get some extra practice in before tryouts. Each workshop will consist of instructions in basic cheer techniques and principals for example: Jumps, Tumbling, Motions, Stunting, & Stretching Techniques. Workshops are tonight & tomorrow at 4pm in the small gym. There is a cost of $5 a day. Come dressed to participate in workout clothes and tennis shoes. Hope to see you there.

This Saturday, April 8, is the deadline for ordering a yearbook. Currently there are fewer than 100 yearbooks available, so order yours today.
