What: Middle School Students – This is THE Event of the summer for you! For more than 12 years, CIY (Christ in Youth) has led the way in providing age-appropriate events for Middle School Students. MIX is a brand new four-day summer event that understands that middle schoolers need their own experience. MIX is designed for the cognitive and developmental abilities of 6^th through 8^th grade students. This is a great week for building relationships with students as they come to understand their own spiritual formation and grow as disciples of Jesus through dynamic worship, engaging activities, off-the-chart recreation and small group interaction! We want as many of your friends to come as possible!

Forms Due by March 31:

• A non-refundable $50 deposit

Cost Includes:

• ALL Meals (except for 1 travel meal), lodging and transportation

• Early Bird Cost: $275 per person, if registration and full payment is received by April 15!  So after your $50 deposit, get the remaining payment of $225 in by April 15 or just pay the full payment of $275 by April 15.

• After April 15 Cost:  $299 per person.

What to Bring:
Money for 1 travel meal - Recommend 10 bucks

Clothing for 5 days, plus travel
Athletic equipment (Frisbee, etc.) for recreation time (optional)
Bedding or sleeping bag to fit a single bed
Camera

What is "A Night to Remember"?
A formal evening of dinner, dancing and friends. Get out your formal wear and get ready for "A Night to Remember"!  It is an evening where special needs guests will be salon pampered. They will have a chance to walk the red carpet, get their picture taken by paparazzi, eat a formal dinner and then dance the night away with their friends.

Who is invited?
Our friends (ages 15 and above) in the community who have developmental, physical or mental disabilities.

Caregivers
Since some Caregivers need to stay with the guest for the entire evening, each guest may bring one other adult with them to the party. That might be a caregiver, a parent or a friend but only one other person will be allowed to enter the party with the guest. It is not required that you bring anyone to the party (unless you need your caregiver) as you will be paired with a buddy for the evening to show you around. All caregivers will be able to eat a meal with their special guest.

Buddies
We're excited about hosting "A Night to Remember", but another reason for the party is that “we want to hang out with you!” We asked those that attend Legacy Christian Church to serve as your buddies for the evening and a lot of people said “YES,” they would love to get to know you. Each special guest will have a buddy for the evening to help make sure you don’t miss out on any special part of "A Night to Remember!"  Most importantly your buddy will be with you to make sure you have FUN!

Hair, Make Up and Nails
One of the best parts of the evening will be a salon style pampering for both the men and women.  We have a team of hair and make-up professionals to assist you in getting ready for the evening.  Guys, come for a new hairstyle. Ladies come and get your hair, make up and nails done…all free!

            Divorced dads. You want to be a great dad and sometimes it’s a challenge with all of the plates you are spinning.
            Empty Nesters. This affords you some amazing opportunities to help develop younger dads and deposit some of the lessons you’ve learned into their lives. Plus, you’re still a dad. Become a part of the men who want to maximize their time and develop Authentic Manhood.

"Connect to the heart of your child. It makes it easier for them to connect to the heart of God." Authentic Manhood: A Man and His Fatherhood is an experience with other men that will be a pathway to authentic manhood and will change your life forever. Donuts and coffee provided!

Using video teaching that features several noted experts and authors as well as small group discussion, this volume offers men a bigger vision for grace-based fatherhood. The workbook is filled with practical insights, Biblical wisdom and helpful resources to prepare dads to launch healthy sons and daughters into the world.

Session 1: Foundation - Truths of parenthood rooted in Scripture centered around God's grace.
Session 2: Grace based parenting - How to father with a heart of grace.
Session 3: True Greatness - Contrasts the world's perspective of greatness with God's perspective of greatness and outlines how to guide children towards true greatness.
Session 4: Sons - How to be an intentional father in each stage of your son's life.
Session 5: Daughters - Insights on how to be the most important man in your daughter's life.
Session 6: Decisions - Pivotal issues that you need to anticipate and decide in advance that will effect how you father.

MOPS IS A PLACE THAT GETS MOMS:
MOPS is for moms who have children birth through Kindergarten age or who are currently pregnant. We understand your unique needs, challenges, and joys in this vital season of early mothering. You will be welcomed in our MOPS group just as you are! At MOPS, you will have a chance to socialize with other moms, hear great teaching, have discussion time, and participate in creative activities.

WHERE & WHEN?
We meet the 2^ndand 4^thTuesdays of each month, September through May. We meet at Legacy’s Overland Park campus in the Parlor (Room 115) on the lower level.

MOPS SCHEDULE:
9:00 -11:00 am Morning Group
7:00 - 9:00 pm Evening Group
*Childcare check in available 15 minutes before the meetings start

CHILD CARE:
During MOPS meetings, your children will be cared for in a program called MOPPETS, where they experience love in a preschool-like setting. This includes age-appropriate curriculum, playtime, and a snack.   Interested in serving?  For questions or to volunteer contact Carolyn at 913-888-4284. 

MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION:
Registration fees cover MOPS International dues as well as various needs for the semester. MOPS provides quality mothering resources and as part of your MOPS International membership, you will receive a one-year subscription to Hello, Dearest magazine, weekly email messages, access to MOPShop, and other MOPS International benefits. Membership with Legacy Christian Church's MOPS group also includes childcare, crafts, hospitality, and other activities throughout the year.

FEES:
There is a $65 registration fee for your first session and $35 for participation in the second session.  You may pay for each session separately OR you may pay the fees for the year ($100) in the fall.  Checks should be made payable to “Legacy” and must accompany your registration form in order to hold your place. Scholarships forms are available upon request.

Parent's Night Out occurs every 1st Saturday of the month (unless the 1^stSaturday falls on a holiday) and allows children with special needs to enjoy a fun evening with other children, while also providing an evening out for parents.
