  <p>
    The Data Privacy Counsel - Europe is an important compliance role for Honeywell (and#x201c;HONand#x201d;). This role reports into and supports the Assistant General Counsel and#x2013; Data Privacy (and#x201c;AGC and#x2013; Data Privacyand#x201d;) in ensuring that a myriad of company practices, policies, processes, and procedures are performed in accordance with applicable international and local country privacy and data protection laws in the European Union (and#x201c;EUand#x201d;). 
    <br>
    <br>
    The candidate should be an experienced data privacy lawyer and have a proven track record in EU data privacy and security laws. In particular, this role is responsible for: 
  </p>
  <ul>
    <li>
      <div>
        Supporting the AGC-Data Privacy in maintaining a comprehensive international compliance program within Honeywell, set up in accordance with the Safe Harbor framework agreed between the US and the EU and pursuant to which Honeywell lawfully transfers certain personal data from Europe to the US; 
      </div>
    </li>
    <li>
      <div>
        Supporting audits and assessments of internal and external parties that process Honeywell personal data in order to maintain Safe Harbor status and global legal compliance; 
      </div>
    </li>
    <li>
      <div>
        Tracking, monitoring, interpreting and reporting on EU laws and legislative, regulatory, and policy developments for a variety of global clients, and helping coordinate implementation activities within the EU; 
      </div>
    </li>
    <li>
      <div>
        Developing and maintaining data processing and data transfer contracts that are required to transfer HON personal data among various HON entities in the EU and to third parties; 
      </div>
    </li>
    <li>
      <div>
        Preparing mandatory regulatory filings that are required in the EU in connection with HR, IT and other systems that process personal data (e.g. the EU helpline, background screening, drug testing); 
      </div>
    </li>
    <li>
      <div>
        Preparing mandatory employee notices and/or documentation of consent for processing personal data, where required; 
      </div>
    </li>
    <li>
      <div>
        Support business groups in ensuring that all of HON externally-facing websites, and our email marketing, comply with EU privacy laws; 
      </div>
    </li>
    <li>
      <div>
        Providing guidance to IT and Honeywell Security Group (and#x201c;HSGand#x201d;) on commercially and legally acceptable security practices and standards to handle HON personal data in the EU; 
      </div>
    </li>
    <li>
      <div>
        Providing support as necessary for meetings with EU privacy regulators and/or data protection authorities; supporting consultation/co-determination activities with the Works Councils to address privacy concerns regarding new HR, IT and HGS systems/programs; 
      </div>
    </li>
    <li>
      <div>
        Assisting with the development, maintenance and implementation of ongoing training programs, and assisting with security breach investigations, researching applicable laws and coordinating efforts to notify affected individuals, as well as relevant criminal agencies and regulatory bodies; 
      </div>

        Providing regular updates and reports to AGC and#x2013; Data Privacy and liaising with local country privacy officers;
