As of now there is no clarification in regards to a European release.

Nintendo was very picky with what kind of pictures and shots could be taken. So this is the best I could do at the time. I will be returning tomorrow to demo the game again. So stay tuned for more images to be added to this gallery.

However, Mega Man was not the only character revealed today. The Wii Fit girl and “The Villager” from Animal Crossing were also shown. The Villager is able to dig traps and cut down trees to deal damage. Each character comes with their own themed stage.

Several classic characters were also confirmed including, but not limited to, Mario, Fox, Samus, Peach, and Bowser. Our favorite hero Link was also shown and Zelda will also be returning.

Some new Zelda themed levels were shown including a Spirit Tracks themed train stage, Twilight Princess’ Kakariko Village, and Skyloft.

The game is still without an official title.

This game was first announced last month and had since been confirmed to include a dark world, a reference to its title.

The Wind Waker HD is set to be released this coming October in the United States and September in Japan

One of the game’s biggest complaints was the slow pace of sailing across the gigantic Great Sea. To fix this proble, Nintendo has added a new “speed-up” button for sailing. I doubt anybody will complain about this.

Next up is some changes to the GBA Tingle Tuner. This feature was not used by many, as it required a GameBoy Advance and connector cord. However, it will remain in the HD version with some changes. The Tingle Tuner will now be known as the Tingle Bottle and will be able to post stuff to the Miiverse.

Lastly the game is confirmed to be able to run in 1080p.

In an interview with Edge magazine, Eiji Aonuma stated that 60 FPS was vital for obtaining a stable 3D effect, yet the game will not rely on these effects. This is nice for gamers who prefer to play with the 3D disabled.

The game runs at 60FPS, while all the 3D games up till now have run at 30fps. The faster the framerate, the more stable the 3D effect, so 60FPS is a big deal. Well, there are players who don’t like 3D and always keep it switched off, so there’s nothing in the game that absolutely requires 3D, like puzzles that can’t be solved without it.

Eiji Aonuma later commented on some of the title’s gameplay features, including the return of familiar icons, and what he coined as a “big surprise.” While the game is set to take place in the same world as A Link to the Past, things will still be shook up a bit to bring in some new features.

This new title will feature lots of things that are new to the series; right at the start of the game, there’s a big surprise that will shock players. We started out with the new play mechanics, such as Link being able to become a painting and walk along the walls, and then figured out from there how to build a story around them. Rather than forcing elements of the original story into this one, we’ve instead focused on bringing back the characters, so you can see what happened to them after the events of the first game.

We have already seen some new gameplay elements from the title’s reveal trailer. While Aonuma is promising some great new concepts, we know one mechanic will be making a return to the title. The ability to traverse between the Dark and Light World is returning. How this concept will be innovated has yet to be seen.

Part of what made A Link To The Past interesting was the way you could move between the Light World and the Dark World and solve puzzles, and we’re planning to bring that back in A Link To The Past 2 for sure. Link’s ability to become a painting will be related to that.

So far ‘A Link to the Past 2′ is shaping up to be another great outing for Link and Zelda. The mixture of classic and new mechanics will surely merge to create one unique adventure.

• 1. The game, while set in the world of A Link to the Past, does not take place right after the events of its predecessor Some time has passed since Ganon’s defeat in the Dark World. Hyrule is in a period of rebuilding and prominence when a new threat rises.
• 2. The villain is not Ganondorf or Vaati. There an entirely new foe to the series.
• 3. At this time the game is much more in depth than the past couple of handheld Zelda titles. There are at least 6 dungeons to overcome. Link will not be returning to any of the dungeons like the developers played with in Skyward Sword. The game is more traditional with the Zelda formula.
• 4. Unlike its predecessor, there will be some focus on the franchise’s races via towns and etc. No details were provided on where their homes would be or how they would be situated. This may be interesting to see since the game is set in the same overworld as A Link to the Past.
• 5. The Dark World exists, but not in the same manner. Link’s wish at the end of the first game changed the world. The Dark World we will see is a similar albeit new form. It was returned to the Golden Land for a brief period. Evil beings still searched for it to acquire the Triforce.
• 6. Link is cursed, which is how he learns the weird abilities we saw in the reveal trailer.
• 7. Zelda plays a limited role. Nothing like what we saw in Spirit Tracks.
• 8. The game has some kind of multi-player.

Anyways, that is the end of this round’s rumors. Some of it seems plausible, and some of it not so much.  What do you think of the rumors? Are they believable? E3 is just a week away. We will know if any of this is true then.

The poster, seen above, is insanely beautiful and has me very excited for the game. The revamped graphics of Ocarina of Time were incredible, and I can only imagine what the final product of The Wind Waker’s breathtaking world will look like. Stay tuned for more Wind Waker HD news.

Now, without further ado, according to the rumors, fans of the Zelda series should not expect to see much of Zelda Wii U at E3 this year. The game is apparently a mid 2015 title at the earliest. The game is said to be designed off of the tech demo we saw a couple of years ago and will be the largest and most grand Zelda title to date. However the game is still too early in development to show much at E3. Do not expect to see more than some concept art and a brief statement.

It was also confirmed that both the Light and Dark Worlds would be returning, though it is unclear to what extent. Aounuma also went on to say Link’s wall abilities was  spurred on by the Phantom Ganon boss fight from Ocarina of Time.

Lastly he states that this is a game that must be played in 3D. The game will be enjoyable for all with or without the 3D effect, but players will get a deeper appreciation of the game’s depth with it on.
