25 potential Wii U launch titles have been leaked from a photograph taken of the Blockbuster UK pos system. While this list is not confirmed it is interesting to note some of the games that are on the list and allegedly in the Blockbuster system.

What is more interesting about this list is that many of the games are previously unannounced which gives some possible insight into what lays ahead for the Wii U

Our Skyward Sword Walkthrough page has just gotten updated with a new video. This segment, posted below, is the first part of the Song of Hero quest where Link has to collect the tadtones in Flooded Faron Woods.

Skyward Sword has been out for several months now but its epic gameplay and story continues to be felt by many. However, if you were one of the few Wii owners who have not picked up the game then you now have no reason not to pick the game up.

KMART has dropped the price down to 20 dollars. At this cost Skyward Sword is nothing but a steal. This deal is only good through May 6th to the 12th so you better act fast.

A representative from HalloweenCostumes.Com reached out to me a while ago and asked if I would do a product review for one of their many Legend of Zelda replica items. They had a wide range of props including swords, full costumes, and shields.

In the end I decided to review their Hylian Shield replica. Overall I was very impressed with the quality. The shield was well built and the paint job was fantastic. My full video review is embedded below.

With the news that several hit titles will not be heading to WiiU, I wanted to get something off my chest. I will purchase the WiiU for the same reason I purchased the original Wii. That is to play Nintendo games.

The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario, Metroid and all the great characters that the Big N has created are not available to play any other way, and I’m OK with that. The question is, are you? Let us know in the comments!

Last week I posted a donation drive to help raise money for Breast Cancer research and funding. I promised that if we collected enough money I would dye my hair pink in support of the cause. Now that the fundraising is finalized, it is time to show the results off to the world. Click through for the pictures

So what do you think? Do I look good in pink? I know my boss doesn’t think so. Let me know in the comments.

I know we all love Zelda and who doesn’t like breasts? So why not support both by participating in our Breast Cancer Awareness fundraiser. This is just a little spur of the moment event that I am putting together for a good cause. The goal of this fundraiser is to collect at least 100 dollars to donate to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

If we manage to reach our goal of 100 a couple of things will happen. First off, I will dye my hair pink to represent and symbolize the pink ribbons that are associated with the cause. I will then post this picture on the site here and across all my social media platforms. Next, one random donatee will get themselves one of the Legend of Zelda Club Nintendo Poster sets for free.

I have set up a donation form here on the page for you to use. The minimum donation amount is set to be 1 dollar. However, feel free to donate as much as you would like. Every tiny bit helps in the fight against breast cancer. If you would like to remain out of this contest but would still like to support the cause then feel free to donate directly on their site!

Zelda creator, Shigeru Miyamoto, has stated that he would like to see a new Legend of Zelda game that uses the same style of A Link to the Past. Originally released on the SNES, Miyamoto has recently been on the record stating that he would like to recreate its 2D visuals into 3D. When Miyamoto was asked if the intention was still there he indicated that perhaps there was other approaches he would like to take.

“I think the answer would be the same if we’re talking about just porting but I think I’d be even more interested in creating something new maybe based on, or starting from, A Link To The Past. I think it’s important to bring some really new software.”

Kid Icarus Uprising was recently released and with it came several cool Easter Eggs. Nintendo games always seem to reference one another in some form or another and this one is no different. In Kid Icarus Uprising there are 2 different Zelda references that have been spotted so far.

The first reference is the chime that is played when solving a puzzle in the Wish Seed Level. After completing a puzzle the chime that plays is similar to the puzzle solving chime from the Zelda series.

The second, and most glaring reference is to Navi of Ocarina of Time. The Fairy Orbitars idol description states, “Tired of pixies asking you to listen?” This is of course referencing the famous and vastly annoying “hey, look, listen” alerts of Navi.

Virtual Console. Those 2 words made the Wii worth purchasing. I can play a myriad of old-school titles with the click of my Wii remote. Sadly, there have been too few updates with sub-par titles. I feel that Nintendo has all but let the Wii virtual console die. I am OK with that actually. Enter the WiiU eShop, virtual console, whatever they want to call it.

WiiU isn’t going to be able to play our precious Gamecube games so I really want to see some of the biggest hits become available first thing. From Wind Waker to Luigi’s Mansion to Eternal Darkness, I need them all. In addition, I would love to see an easy way to transfer you existing virtual console games. That’s seems like a no brainer, but we know how stubborn the big N can be. How great would it be to play your NES and SNES favorites right there on your WiiU controller? I think that WiiUPad would follow me around the whole house!

Assassins Creed 3 coming to WiiU. It’s also coming to Xbox360 and PS3. Microsoft has clearly indicated that they are not announcing a new Xbox at this year’s E3, same goes for Sony. This leads me to believe that a lot of the latest and greatest games will be all all 3 platforms. What would you like to see done differently with WiiU versions?

I know we’re in for a surprise at E3. Studios have had WiiU dev kits for a while now, and there’s bound to be some killer ideas headed our way. What would you like to see in Assassins Creed WiiU? Will you be satisfied with just playing the game on a Nintendo console, or do you now expect more given Nintendo’s new controller?

What upcoming WiiU games (that are also on other platforms) are you looking forward to? What are your hopes with the new controller? I’ll keep hoping each day for Bioshock: Infinite. Sound off in the comments!

Let’s talk WiiU! In the first of several short WiiU articles, I’ll write about a topic related to WiiU that’s rattling around in my brain and ask for your comments.

Nintendo has a history of innovation that others then try to copy (Move anyone?). Motion gaming has caught on, and as The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword proved, it works and it works well. My question to you is, will Nintendo go back to button controls with the new WiiU controller? We know that Wii remotes are compatible, but is that going to change the experience?

Personally, I’d love to see The Legend of Zelda with a clear HUD by utilizing the new controller and give my buttons back! Could Nintendo do a dual release of the next Zelda game? One with motion controls, the other, a more classical approach with classic buttons and analog control? Let the wild speculation begin!
