Let's Play!!

2012-11-16T20:02:00.000-08:00

Hello again! I know I said I would try to see you all before Halloween but as you can see... I lied... Lol, life is just still really busy for me, hopefully after the Holidays it'll get quieter....

In the meantime a good friend of mine has made up some Let's Play vids on You Tube for those of us who haven't gotten it yet so if you're curious check them out and live vicariously through them lol... Enjoy!

There is a sixth but for some reason I can't post it... Anyways go to my friends channel (click here) to see it and don't forget to subscribe!

MIA Yet Again....

2012-10-22T03:17:00.001-07:00

Just stopping by to let the world know that I'm super busy! I soooo want to play my Sims but just don't have time... I think I may have burned out a little too, what with the release of Supernatural AND SEASONS!! I mean that's double PEPS!! How am i supposed to handle that/ Why, quit playing for a while of course! It's not like i can afford that or anything, ya know? BTW, Thanks EA for your recent blunder (am I too obvious?) I finally got my first stuff pack, Master Suite (and why? Because that's what hit me at the moment,I don't do well under pressure, lol)!! Can't wait to try te new sleeping facemask (enter sarcasm here)!! Anyhow, I guess what I'm trying to say is that one has to chose real life vs. Sims overload and I've chosen real life for now.... Christmas is coming hehehehehe!!!

P.S. I'm lurking the officials and I'll see you before Halloween!

P.P.S. i do have some killer nail art pics (maybe even how to's) and I I hope to post them soon in my new tab up at top, I think I'll call it... Kute Klaws... or no wait!.... Katz Klaws... Ahh o, that's lame.... Any ideas? I have a bad nail habit and I need a name, anything? Anyone?

OK, see ya soon!

I only have one word to say....

2012-08-02T15:05:00.000-07:00

SEASONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's a sad day...

2012-07-20T20:52:00.000-07:00

I really don't even know what to say....

Back to basics....

2012-05-26T17:01:00.001-07:00

Hello there! I kn ow it's been awhile and no, I'm not abandoning my blog, I've just had more important things to do... Also I've had some MAJOR computer issues lately... Anyhow, this is what's going on in my little simming world...

Not much....

Lol, no really, I have been playing but was forced to go back to basics because of my computer issues, I'm surprised at how much I'm enjoying it tho!! I had never played just the base game before, when I first got the game I got it with Ambitions and just installed both so I never truly played it simple... I'm even playing the premades rather then my own simmy! I did break down and install Generations a couple of days ago but still no CC or mods, just the vanilla game. Given the ugly townies are starting to irritate me I'm still not gonna cave back into a non- vanilla game just yet, I'm having to much fun! It's nice to play a smooth game with very few tiny glitches again....

Right now I'm playing Pauline Wan, she married Peter Lanegrak (or however you spell it) and had the ugliest little girl, they have another on the way... I would post pics but I honestly haven't even been into pics lately, I'm just enjoying the game play.... Let's see how it goes, maybe I'll have something interesting to post later...

Ok, I'm done with my useless little post her but I have one question for you.... When was the last time you played the base, vanilla game?

It wasn't broken!!

2012-04-22T21:34:00.000-07:00

Seriously? I hate the way all these web sites are changing everything up every 5 minutes!! Grrr, I'm so lost every where I go!!! If it's not broke then don't fix it people!!! Mini rant over...

So hello there! I know I've been MIA for awhile now, mostly just here and a few simmy sites, I've been just busy with life and some life changes have occurred... For starters I have a new job and I'm still adjusting to this whole "work" think lol. I also have been doing very well with Swagbucks and am totally addicted to it! Free stuff gets me every time! Another thing keeping me busy is that I'm actually PLAYING my game, I find that I really enjoy Showtime (SHT for short)!! And yep, got it for free!

Well, this was just a quick post to let you all know that I'm still alive... Hope to start posting more again soon, I miss my little blog! I will leave you with a message that means a lot to me, see you soon!

The nicest thing...

2012-03-25T15:45:00.000-07:00

This post is to give a shout out to a very generous simmer that did one of the nicest things I have seen on The Sims 3 community forums!

Jake aka X_MG_X that was an amazing thing to do!! He just gifted several people Lunar Lakes just because he wanted them to enjoy it as much as he does...

that is a pretty wonderful thing to do and it really shows what a...

... you have!

Just witnessing this made my day!!

Now I have that warm fuzzy feeling get when something really awesome happens because someone did something special!

Well hello world!

2012-03-24T22:34:00.000-07:00

Yes, I know I've been MIA for a little while... I had some things to deal with in real life that kept me away from my computer and my simmies but it's all back to normal now and I can get back in the groove of things... Hope you've all been wonderful!

Another thing that has kept me away is that I discovered Swagbucks! It's awesome!! Basically it's a market research site that allows you to earn points (or swagbucks) you can use towards prizes, including cold hard cash! There are so many ways to earn points and I'm completely addicted!! I decided to give it a try because they carry EA game cards sop I thought maybe I would earn a few free simpoints but it's way better then that! In 2 weeks I earned enough to get Showtime for free!! Yes FREE!! I know what you're all thinking and I was super skeptical myself because I have tried any f these type of things just to end up frustrated and annoyed so I quit every single one of them but this is really different and it works,! Ok now I sound like a sales person lol but I really am excited about it so I wanted to share. It's up to you if you want to try or not and if you do I am willinmg to help all I can, just let me know! Here's the link and info if you're curious...

Hope to see you there!

Paco1200 Does it again!!

2012-03-15T17:41:00.000-07:00

I wish I had the talent, this one is sooo fun and colorful!! Great job Paco!

Seriously, it's not her...

2012-03-02T18:36:00.000-08:00

This makes me laugh so much! I can't believe people actually think they are talking to Kay Perry! I mean I can understand how the youngest simmers might believe it's her but most know that it's just a gimmick... Just shows that this ad campaign and Showtime gimmick is working for some anyway...

Not to be a party pooper or spoil anyone's fun but it's just so obviously a commercial gimmick! Like Katy Perry would even have the time to play much less chat on the forums... Just cracks me up!

The day the daydream dies...

2012-02-29T17:46:00.000-08:00

RIP Davy Jones... Most of you are probably to young to remember but I'm sure you are familiar with at least the one song from the Shrek movies... The Monkeys were the epitome of Pop Culture and their influence in music as well as television still shows today... For those of us that do remember February 29, 2012, will be remembered as the day the daydream died.....

(Just for the record I'm not old enough to actually remember The Monkeys as they were on the air but I loved them in re- runs and their music, they were a big part of my childhood...)

My thoughts on the new Sim pages...

2012-02-27T17:48:00.002-08:00

I think I am in the minority but I rather like it, sure it needs some work but it's kinda fun having a new way to communicate instantly... I also like that new uploads are seen by everyone, that is kind of the point to the exchange after all. Most of us have friends on our list we never talk to and don't even get why we had a friend system in the first place so this gives us all a chance to get to know each other a little better which in turn let's us know who we want to keep and actually talk to, if you're a social person like me then this is a big bonus! Now if you're a paranoid ani- socialist then this could be very disturbing and why are you playing a social game in the first place? Those of you that are should probably not visit the site anyway lol... You know, just like any other PUBLIC site if you don't want people to see what you have to say then don't post it in PUBLIC to begin with!!

What I don't like is that we can no longer customize our page and there is some security risks that need to be addressed... I also feel like it makes the forums rather pointless now since everything can be discussed right from our pages, and this showed almost immediately after the update, within minutes the forums went quiet except for the complaint threads of course, those will always be on the first page of the forums... I'm sure EA is not done yet though and I do expect some more changes in the near future...

I find it funny that the first thing so many simmers did was complain about the new commenting system using the new commenting system, irony at it's best! Posts like "I refuse to use this system!" look stupid when posted using the system lol... In the end I feel most people will get used to the whole thing and end up not only using it but enjoying it, I'm seeing evidence of this already, won't take long until most give in and go with it just like most changes... People are naturally resistant to change so it makes perfect since that there's so much negativity now, I give it 2 weeks tops and either people give in or leave and either way is fine, it is your personal choice after all....

Luna Skye...

2012-02-25T21:20:00.000-08:00

I've decided I do like fantasy sims... No, not so much berry sims (in my mind anyway) but fantasy, like witches, vamps, winged sims and now aliens lol...

Here is my version of an alien princess... She seems a bit camera shy so it was hard to get a really good pic of her... Her traits are, brave, eco- friendly, eccentric, artistic and perceptive... Favorite color is aqua, food is I don't remember lol and she likes classical music... She's a peaceful alien but she will do what's necessary for her people...

All CC checked and appears safe but you know how it is ( I keep my game very clean so I know she is perfectly safe)... You can download her HERE , please give a rec even if you don't want her... Thanks!

So I got really, really bored....

2012-02-23T22:27:00.000-08:00

Okay this is just purely a stupid I am bored out of my mind post... I was lurking the forums for awhile today (a couple of hours, no wonder I'm so bored) and I decided to give myself a personal bored challenge... To see if I could make it to the front page as a last poster in any section of the officials and well I succeeded!

Stories and legacies! Lol, see? I told you I was really, really bored...

I'm Back!!

2012-02-15T18:51:00.000-08:00

Wow! Seems like forever! I don't even know where to start lol...

I guess I start with the biggest news of the year for me... My beautiful daughter snuck into Vegas and ...

GOT MARRIED!!!!

I am so in shock but extremely happy for my little girl! I'm am just so proud of her I could just burst! All I ask is that I am not made a Grandma anytime soon lol... Congratulations Reesie, I love you!!!!

On that romantic note, I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day! Even for those of you that are single, you deserve to treat yourself special for the day and I hope you did!

Next, looks like something really awesome happened in the Simiverse... Sesert has been taken down! Woo Hoo! A BIG THANK YOU from me to Angelic Evil and Bluebell Flora and everyone else that helped take out the trash! It's so nice knowing I can now lurk the officials without having to keep a bottle of bleach handy for my eyes lol... An amazing job very well done!

THANK YOU!

Ahhhh, it's good to be home! Now off to see what else is going on in the Simiverse... See ya'll soon!

Oh how I missed you computer!

Staycation!

2012-02-06T18:08:00.000-08:00

Hi again, just wanted to let you all know I am on "Staycation" for a few days so my little blog here will be inactive for a couple of weeks, really looking forward to having some fun in....

Be good and wish me luck!!

Erm... Excuse me...

2012-02-03T19:24:00.000-08:00

Ok, so I'm in Target the other day with my friend and her two little girls (ages 6 & 9), just picking up new outfits for the girls for a Girl Scout event... All of a sudden we hear this chick screaming at the top of her lungs "Alex! Look! Doesn't it look sexy?"... Well ya can't help but look when you call that kind of attention to yourself! This is pretty much what we saw, I know if I can't get the image out of my head I can't even imagine what those little girls are thinking!

Ummm... Excuse me lady but NO, it is not at all sexy! I mean the girl had great hair and a pretty face (ya, I know, cliche) but the garish make- up made her look sooo bad! You know the type, thin penciled in eyebrows that are just not natural, way to much everything else, and the "I look hot and better then everyone" attitude, I mean even if she wasn't obese she would have been ugly with that outlook on life...

That dress is way to short! And no matter how much you stuff yourself into it you will not magically become a size 2....

Why, yes that does make your ass look big....

I thought it might be fun to give her a makeover, this is how I would dress if I was that overweight yet still wanted to feel sexy...

First I would totally tone down the make- up! I would also pencil my eyebrows in a little softer and at least try to get a more natural look... (Tip: Let the eyebrows grow out a bit then try a little shaping not to much...)

Next... COVER YOURSELF! Learn how to dress your body shape, there's no reason you can't be pretty and feel sexy even with a few extra pounds... (Tip: Break up the waist, use a belt or a different style of top, a little bit of form fitting goes a long way without letting it all spill out...) And a LITTLE cleavage is just fine...

Yes, your ass is still big but at least you can bend over now without scarring anyone for life...

I mean no offense to anyone, I just had to get that out of my head as it's been bothering me in the most annoying way! I'm no size 2 myself and even if I was I have respect for myself and would never try to look like a $5.00 Las Vegas hooker...

(Apologies for the weird size pics, not sure what happened there)

Thanks All!

2012-02-03T17:26:00.000-08:00

I'm super excited! I finally reached 2,000 views! Thanks everyone for taking a minute and "hearing" what I have to say, I would have probably let this blog die an undignified death if it wasn't for the encouragement I received from some very special simmers so I really want to give a big WOO HOO to you! You know who you are and I'm so happy to have met such awesome people! Look forward to having fun on this blog for a long time to come... Have an amazing weekend!

Nope, don't want it...

2012-01-25T16:23:00.000-08:00

I love Lazy Game Reviews! They always say it like it is... From what I've seen, read and heard I am soooo going to pass on this stuff pack! And who's bright idea was the sleep mask anyway? Well I guess it's not a bad idea to hide the ugly EA made sims that pop up in CAS right? The best part is the plug for Mod the Sims! As EA get lazier and greedier the amazing community of CC creators get better and better, they really should take a closer look at some of them and learn something about their own game and what thier players/ customers want... Sheesh, when does the fail stop!?!

No offense to any of you who have purchased or like this stuff pack, it's just one simmers opinion...

Happy Anniversary!!

2012-01-23T16:44:00.000-08:00

I ADORE my Hubby and today we are celebrating 14 wonderful years together!! Looking forward to the rest of my life with you babe! I love you!!

(Technically our anniverary was on the 21st but had to wait until today to celebrate)

HA HA HA HA HA!!! xD

TS3 vs. FB...

2012-01-22T21:01:00.000-08:00

So The Sims 3 website wants to be like Facebook huh?

Yeah, good luck with that!

Personally I don't have issue with the changes... except that we will no longer be able to customize our pages... And as long as some security features that WORK are implemented I'm ok with it... Being the social network addict that I am this aspect doesn't bother me at all... What does bother me is that once again EA is not listening to their customers, the majority of Simmers that use the site have stated loud and clear that they don't want these changes! Hell even Facebook does polls and a little research before making final changes, typically they don't listen either but at least they let us believe they want our opinions, Facebook also will usually give us the option to change immediately or let us take time to get used to the idea before changing. All in all it's not such a big deal to me because I rarely even see my page as it is... As for those of that hate the idea of these changes I do understand and I hope there is some sort of compromise for you but I wouldn't hold my breath, it is EA after all....
<---- EA considering customer feedback....

Mah Casino!

2012-01-21T21:21:00.000-08:00

Finally got my little casino page up and running! Now take a gamble will ya? Come on, you know you want to!! Hehehe! Still looking for a Craps game but I think you'll enjoy what I have so far... Check it out HERE !!

Did I mention it's all free and just for fun???

Amazing Paco!!
