There are other indications that he might have been planning a bombing at a nightclub, as well.

WASHINGTON - Khalid Ali-M Aldawsari, 20, a citizen of Saudi Arabia and resident of Lubbock, Texas, was arrested late yesterday by FBI agents in Texas on a federal charge of attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction in connection with his alleged purchase of chemicals and equipment necessary to make an improvised explosive device (IED) and his research of potential U.S. targets.

This was not a sting operation. Rather, a chemical company located in North Carolina, became suspicious of Aldawsari's order, of a unique substance concentrated phenol. The substance can be used in explosive material trinitrophenol, also known as T.N.P.

The Chronicle further explains:

Aldawsari allegedly attempted to have the phenol order shipped to a freight company so it could be held for him there, but the freight company returned the order to the supplier and called the police.

Aldawsari had already obtained all of the other ingredients to make the explosive.

Even more alarming, Aldawsari used his status as a Student "researcher" to obtain the chemical compounds.

Later, Aldawsari falsely told the supplier he was associated with a university and wanted the phenol for "off-campus, personal research."

He has also acquired or taken a substantial step toward acquiring most of the ingredients and equipment necessary to construct an IED and he has conducted online research of several potential U.S. targets...

Aldawsari obtained a student Visa to come to the US specifically to launch the attacks. Records indicate he was attending a mainly career training 2-year school, South Plains College in Lubbock, Texas. Lubbock is also home to Texas Tech. (Texas Tech has a very active and organized Muslim Student Association. TTU MSA website).

Federal authorities say Aldawsari's diary indicated the young man had been plotting an attack for years and obtained a scholarship so he could come directly to the United State to carry out jihad.

Plans were also found by authorities in Aldawsari's possession, on chemical ingredients needed to construct Nitro Urea explosives, booby traps, and cell phone detonators.

Aldawsari was apparently just days away from launching the attacks, "and that the suspect was one chemical away from finishing a bomb." An entry in his diary states:

"And now, after mastering the English language, learning how to build explosives and continuous planning to target the infidel Americans, it is time for Jihad."

Aldawsari also made extremist posts on the internet.

He also referred to one of his targets, Bush's Dallas-area residence, as "the Tyrant's home."

Bravo. An update on sharia law in Dearborn. via Sharia in the U.S.A.: Christians Jailed for Preaching to Muslims–Dearborn, MI Officials Sued.

The Thomas More Law Center (TMLC) announced today that the City of Dearborn, its Mayor, John B. O’Reilly, its Chief of Police, Ronald Haddad, 17 City police officers, and two executives of the American Arab Chamber of Commerce were named as defendants in a ninety-six page federal civil rights lawsuit filed in the Federal District Court in Detroit this morning.

The lawsuit, brought by TMLC and co-counsel and Sharia law expert, David Yerushalmi, stems from two separate police actions at the June 2010 Dearborn, Michigan Annual International Arab Festival.

Richard Thompson, TMLC President and Chief Counsel, commented, “Muslims dominate the political and law enforcement process in Dearborn. It seems that police were more interested in placating the Mayor and Muslims than obeying our Constitution. Sharia law makes it a crime to preach the Gospel to Muslims. This is a classic example of stealth Jihad being waged right here in America. And it should be a wake-up call for all patriotic Americans.”

The first incident occurred on June 18, when police jailed four Christian missionaries when they witnessed Dr. Nabeel Qureshi, a Muslim convert to Christianity, peaceably discussing his Christian faith with Muslim youths. The other three, David Wood, Paul Rezkalla, and Negeen Mayel, were arrested along with Qureshi for allegedly “breaching the peace.” The Christians were led away in handcuffs by police to the applause and cheers of Muslim onlookers who just witnessed a victory of Sharia law over the Christians.

The second incident occurred on June 20, as two missionaries, Rezkalla and Josh Hogg, stood on the public sidewalk handing out the Gospel of John to passersby willing to take them. The Christians were there for approximately 5 minutes when eight City police officers descended upon them, seized them, and brought them to the police command trailer located inside the festival where the Christians were admonished, photographed, and ordered to stop their peaceful religious activity.

The police assaults and arrests of the Christians, captured on video, caused a national furor over the lawless tactics of the City’s police department.
Dearborn is considered home to the largest Muslim population in America. As a result, it is evident that City officials, including the Mayor, engaged in this unconstitutional official action solely to please this significant voting bloc and to submit to its will.

The lawsuit was filed on behalf of Acts 17 Apologetics, Dr. Nabeel Qureshi, David Wood, Paul Rezkalla, Negeen Mayel and Josh Hogg.

Enough is enough. Today, the Thomas More Law Center filed a massive 96-page Complaint against the City of Dearborn. Mayor John B. O’Reilly, Police Chief Ronald Haddad, seventeen Dearborn police officers, and two members of the Arab Chamber of Commerce are officially being sued. If the City of Dearborn refuses to honor the U.S. Constitution, we hope this lawsuit will help persuade them that, so long as Michigan is part of the United States, they have no choice in the matter.

Of course, the City of Dearborn is no stranger to civil rights lawsuits. A Christian wrestling coach sued the City after he was targeted for his faith by a Muslim principal. (The City settled out of court.) Two more Christian teachers at a majority Muslim high school are now suing after being targeted and persecuted for their faith.

PHOENIX – The jury has returned a verdict in the trial of Faleh Almaleki, an Iraqi immigrant accused of running down his 20-year-old daughter in an alleged ‘honor killing.’The 50-year-old was found not guilty of first degree murder, but guilty of second degree murder. Prosecutors tried him on both.In regards to Amal Khalaf, Noor’s roommate who was also struck and seriously injured, Almaleki was found not guilty of first degree attempted murder and guilty of aggravated assault.He was also convicted of leaving the scene of an accident. Faleh Almaleki fled the scene in his Jeep and left the country — he was later apprehended in London.It took the jury about 4 days to come to a verdict. Almaleki showed no emotion while the verdict was read, about 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Maricopa County Courthouse.A sentencing date will be determined on Wednesday. Amal Khalaf is expected to testify.

A pirate fired a rocket-propelled grenade at a U.S. Navy destroyer shadowing a hijacked yacht with four Americans aboard Tuesday. Then gunfire erupted, the military said. U.S. special forces rushed to the yacht only to find the four Americans fatally wounded.

The experienced yacht enthusiasts from California and Washington are the first Americans killed by Somali pirates since the start of attacks off East Africa several years ago. One of the American couples on board had been sailing around the world since 2004 handing out Bibles.

Killing hostages “has now become part of our rules,” said a pirate who identified himself as Muse Abdi and referred to last week’s sentencing of a pirate to 33 years in prison for the 2009 attack on the U.S. cargo vessel the Maersk Alabama.

“From now on, anyone who tries to rescue the hostages in our hands will only collect dead bodies,” he said. “It will never ever happen that hostages are rescued and we are hauled to prison.”

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton strongly condemned the killings, saying in a statement that the slayings were “deplorable” and underscored the need for international cooperation in fighting the scourge of piracy in waters off the Horn of Africa.

Pirates had hijacked the 58-foot yacht Quest south of Oman on Friday. Since then, four U.S. warships and sky-high drones shadowed the vessel’s movementas pirates tried to sail it to the Somali shore. U.S. officials negotiated with the captors via radio.

On Monday, two pirates had peacefully come aboard the USS Sterett to negotiate with naval forces for the release of the hostages, and remained aboard overnight.

But at 8 a.m. East Africa time Tuesday, a rocket-propelled grenade was fired from the Quest at the USS Sterett, a guided-missile destroyer 600 yards away. The RPG missed and almost immediately afterward small arms fire was heard coming from the yacht, said Vice Adm. Mark Fox, commander of the U.S. 5th Fleet in Bahrain.

U.S. forces converged on the Quest in small boats and some pirates moved to bow and put up their hands in surrender.

A member of a U.S. special operations force killed one of the pirates with a knife, Fox said. A second pirate was also killed, and the bodies of two other pirates were discovered on board, bringing to 19 the total number of pirates involved. The U.S. military didn’t say how those two died and it was not known if the pirates had fought among themselves.

The Quest was the home of Jean and Scott Adam, a couple from California who had been sailing around the world since December 2004 with a yacht full of Bibles. The two other Americans on board were Phyllis Macay and Bob Riggle, of Seattle, Wash.

“Great sailors, good people. They were doing what they wanted to do, but that’s small comfort in the face of this,” said Joe Grande of the Seattle Singles Yacht Club, where Riggle and Macay were members.

“We have heard threats against the lives of Americans before but it strikes me as being very, very unusual why they would kill hostages outright,” said Graeme Gibbon-Brooks, the head of Dryad Maritime Intelligence, adding that the pirates must realize that killing Americans would invite a military response.

Gibbon-Brooks said the killings were “extremely unwise” by the Somalis, and that the deaths threaten what has been a successful and lucrative business model.

David Cameron said Britain had encouraged different cultures to live separate lives

Prime Minister David Cameron has criticised "state multiculturalism" in his first speech as prime minister on radicalisation and the causes of terrorism.

At a security conference in Munich, he argued the UK needed a stronger national identity to prevent people turning to all kinds of extremism.

He also signalled a tougher stance on groups promoting Islamist extremism.

The speech angered some Muslim groups, while others queried its timing amid an English Defence League rally in the UK.

As Mr Cameron outlined his vision, he suggested there would be greater scrutiny of some Muslim groups which get public money but do little to tackle extremism.

Ministers should refuse to share platforms or engage with such groups, which should be denied access to public funds and barred from spreading their message in universities and prisons, he argued.

"Frankly, we need a lot less of the passive tolerance of recent years and much more active, muscular liberalism," the prime minister said.

David Cameron strode firmly into a debate where many politicians tread timidly.

In his view, such caution is part of the problem. In frank language he made abundantly clear he believes multiculturalism has failed. Any organisation that does not stand up to extremism will be cut off from public funds, and he wants the country to develop a stronger sense of shared identity.

It is the first time he has spoken so directly as prime minister, but there are echoes of what has gone before. Tony Blair edged away from multiculturalism in the years after the 7/7 bombings in London, and his ministers moved to stop funding any community organisation that did not challenge extremism. And what of Gordon Brown's continual quest to strengthen "Britishness"?

Behind the scenes, ministers are reviewing the "prevent" strategy, the policies designed to try to deal with extremism. But the review, which had been planned for publication this month, is likely to be delayed. It is not clear yet how Mr Cameron will translate his strong words into action.

Human rights

"Let's properly judge these organisations: Do they believe in universal human rights - including for women and people of other faiths? Do they believe in equality of all before the law? Do they believe in democracy and the right of people to elect their own government? Do they encourage integration or separatism?

"These are the sorts of questions we need to ask. Fail these tests and the presumption should be not to engage with organisations," he added.

The Labour MP for Luton South, Gavin Shuker, asked if it was wise for Mr Cameron to make the speech on the same day the English Defence League staged a major protest in his constituency.

There was further criticism from Labour's Sadiq Khan whose comments made in a Daily Mirror article sparked a row.

The shadow justice secretary was reported as saying Mr Cameron was "writing propaganda material for the EDL".

Conservative Party chairman Baroness Warsi hit back, saying that "to smear the prime minister as a right wing extremist is outrageous and irresponsible". She called on Labour leader Ed Miliband to disown the remarks.

Meanwhile, the Muslim Council of Britain's assistant secretary general, Dr Faisal Hanjra, described Mr Cameron's speech as "disappointing".

He told Radio 4's Today programme: "We were hoping that with a new government, with a new coalition that there'd be a change in emphasis in terms of counter-terrorism and dealing with the problem at hand.

"In terms of the approach to tackling terrorism though it doesn't seem to be particularly new.

"Again it just seems the Muslim community is very much in the spotlight, being treated as part of the problem as opposed to part of the solution."

In the speech, Mr Cameron drew a clear distinction between Islam the religion and what he described as "Islamist extremism" - a political ideology he said attracted people who feel "rootless" within their own countries.

"We need to be clear: Islamist extremism and Islam are not the same thing," he said.

The government is currently reviewing its policy to prevent violent extremism, known as Prevent, which is a key part of its wider counter-terrorism strategy.

A genuinely liberal country "believes in certain values and actively promotes them", Mr Cameron said.

He said under the "doctrine of state multiculturalism", different cultures have been encouraged to live separate lives.

'I am a Londoner too'

"We have failed to provide a vision of society to which they feel they want to belong. We have even tolerated these segregated communities behaving in ways that run counter to our values."

Building a stronger sense of national and local identity holds "the key to achieving true cohesion" by allowing people to say "I am a Muslim, I am a Hindu, I am a Christian, but I am a Londoner... too", he said.

Security minister Baroness Neville-Jones said when Mr Cameron expressed his opposition to extremism, he meant all forms, not just Islamist extremism.

"There's a widespread feeling in the country that we're less united behind values than we need to be," she told Today.

"There are things the government can do to give a lead and encourage participation in society, including all minorities."

But the Islamic Society of Britain's Ajmal Masroor said the prime minister did not appreciate the nature of the problem.

"I think he's confusing a couple of issues: national identity and multiculturalism along with extremism are not connected. Extremism comes about as a result of several other factors," he told BBC Radio 5 live.

Former home secretary David Blunkett said while it was right the government promoted national identity, it had undermined its own policy by threatening to withdraw citizenship lessons from schools.

He accused Education Secretary Michael Gove of threatening to remove the subject from the national curriculum of secondary schools in England at a time "we've never needed it more".

"It's time the right hand knew what the far-right hand is doing," he said.

"In fact, it's time that the government were able to articulate one policy without immediately undermining it with another."

A Senate investigation of the Fort Hood shootings faults the Army and FBI with missing warning signs and not exchanging information that could have prevented the massacre.

The report, released Thursday, concludes that systemic and cultural problems caused military officials to miss signs that the suspect, Maj. Nidal M. Hasan, was becoming increasingly radical before the 2009 attack.

It also concludes that the FBI did not share information with the Army – notably, e-mails that Hasan, an Army psychiatrist and practicing Muslim, exchanged with a “suspected terrorist,” a likely reference to Anwar al-Aulaqi, an ic cleric known for his extremist views. The report says the agency may have dismissed such clues to avoid causing “a bureaucratic confrontation.”

At a news conference Thursday, Sen. Joseph I. Lieberman (I-Conn.) said the investigation’s “painful conclusion is that the Fort Hood massacre could have and should have been prevented.”

In particular, Lieberman said the report, issued by the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, indicates that the FBI had compelling evidence of extremism that should have led to Hasan’s military discharge and made him the subject of a counterterrorism investigation.

A JTTF learn ed that Hasan was communicating with the Suspected Terrori st, flagged Hasan’s initial [REDACTED] communicat ions for further review, and passed them to a second JTTF for an inquiry. However, the ensuing inqu iry fai led to identi fy the totality of Hasan’s communications and to inform Hasan’s mi li tary chain of comman d and Army sec urity officials of the fac t th at he was communicating with a suspected violent Islamist extremi st – a shocking course of conduct for a U.S. mi li tary officer. Instead, the JTTF inquiry relied on Hasan’s erroneous Offi cer Evaluation Reports and ult imately dismissed his comm uni cat ions as legitimate research. Th e JTTF that had reviewed the initial [REDACTED] co mmunicati ons di smi ssed the second JTTF ‘s work as “slim” but eventually dropped the matter rather than cause a bureaucratic confron tation. The JTTFs now even dispute the extent to which they were in con tact with each other in this case. Nonetheless, th e JTTFs never raised the dispute to FBI headquarters for resolution, and en tities in FB I headquarters responsibl e for coordination among fie ld offices never acted. As a result, th e FB I’s inquiry into Hasan ended premature! y.

Who was the second JTTF that thought emailing al Awlaki was legitimate research? This is the Joint Terrorism Task Force -”the principal domestic federal operational arm for counterterrorism investigations and intelligence collection” – is it not?

The threat of homegrown radicalization goes beyond the capabilities of the law enforcement, intelligence, and homeland security agencies and requires a response from a broad range of our government which will produce plans to translate and implement this comprehensive national approach into specific, coordinated, and measurable actions across th e government andin cooperation with the Muslim-American community.

The government – one that won’t even say jihad or Islamic terrorism, in cooperation with the Muslim-American community – i.e., CAIR, ISNA, Keith Ellison, more Nidal Hassan’s – are going to resolve the issue of Islamic terrorism in the U.S.? That sounds eerily similar to Obama’s new counter terrorism adviser.

Bill Aimed at Protecting S.C. From Foreign Law Introduced in Legislature

COLUMBIA, S.C. – A legislative initiative aimed at preventing “a court or other enforcement authority” from enforcing foreign law in the Palmetto State was introduced today in both the S.C. House and Senate by Rep. Wendy Nanney (who drafted the bill) and Sen. Mike Fair respectively, who say the bill will preempt violations of a person’s constitutional rights resulting from the application of foreign law.

Legislators and other proponents of the bill say America has unique values of liberty which do not exist in foreign legal systems. Yet foreign laws are increasingly finding their way into U.S. court cases, particularly in the area of family law, involving divorce and child custody where, for instance, Islamic Shariah Law has been invoked in several U.S. states.

According to Christopher Holton with the Washington, D.C.-based Center for Security Policy (CSP), “There are numerous examples in dozens of states in which parties to such a dispute attempted to invoke Shariah.”

David Yersushalmi, general counsel to the CSP, argues it’s not just “patently bad foreign laws [creeping into our court systems],” it’s that once in the system, the state’s police power would be used to “enforce laws that could never pass federal or state constitutional muster.”

Fair agrees, which is why he introduced the bill in the Senate.

“S.C., like other states, recognizes the need to assert the fact that our state and U.S. constitutions are the basis for civil law in our country,” says Fair. “Some locales have been threatened by the encroachment of foreign law into local, state and or federal law despite obvious violations of our constitutions. A growing concern is the immigration of people who are accustomed to their religion and their civil laws being inextricably connected. For those newcomers to our state, this bill will be helpful to them as they are assimilated into our culture maintaining complete freedom to worship as they please.”

Nanney, who introduced the bill in the House with 20 sponsors and co-sponsors, says that “in speaking with several family court judges, I’ve learned that foreign law has been invoked here in S.C.” She adds, that foreign law includes not just foreign religious law, but foreign secular law from various countries.

Problem is few South Carolinians – or Americans for that matter – are aware of this, until now.

Similar bills were successfully supported last year in Louisiana and Tennessee.

Good evening Sir. I hope this message finds you doing well.

As your constituent, I wanted to bring your attention to the below Human Events news article. I find it troubling that this type of law is even needed, but unfortunately, with the federal government overreaching more and more each day and dedicating more of our taxpayers' money to the United Nations, passing such a law goes a long way in protecting our Constitutional Rights and civil liberties. It would also aid in upholding the Separation of Church and State, therefore stopping the interjection of personal beliefs and radical religious law, such as Islamic Shariah Law, into our legal system. As a former U.S. Marine, four tour Iraq War veteran, and current Army Reservist, I take our national defense and sovereignty very seriously, and like you, I took an oath to uphold our Constitution. I ask that you introduce or support the introduction and passage of foreign law protection legislation for North Carolina. Similar bills have already been introduced in Texas, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Louisiana.

Sleeper Cells in the USA

There is every reason to suspect that we will endure suicide missions by Islamist sleeper cells. They are already in place. They are waiting for the right time. I know this from experience.

I have worked over 15 years as a U.S. Federal Agent, a U.S. State Department Arabic linguist, and the first civilian Federal Agent deployed into Iraq at the start of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003. Since returning from Iraq I have been involved in terrorism analysis, specifically the mindset of terrorists. During my extensive research on sleeper cells I have talked with hundreds of people from the Middle East from all walks of life, and have talked with Iraqi Government officials, Iraqi military and Iraqi police officers. In addition I have interviewed numerous counter-terrorism specialists in the U.S. and abroad. In 2006 I trained over 4000 U.S. Law Enforcement officers in Basic Investigative Arabic and counter-terrorism. The conclusions of my research lead to the title of this article.

Before I departed for the Middle East in 2003 I had been assigned to Kirtland AFB, NM. Kirtland has some of the best scientists in the world working on U.S. Government projects. I had been working closely with these scientists who specialized in nuclear energy, directed energy, laser technology, bio-weapons and more. I fully understand the impact if suicide bombers begin progressing from conventional explosives to unconventional methods.

The Middle East

In Jan 2003, I was assigned to Arar Air Base Saudi Arabia. Arar is located near the border of Iraq. My mission was to interact with Saudi military officials in order to determine the support we could expect from the Saudi government, to determine if Iraqis were monitoring the activities of the U.S. forces at Arar, and to infiltrate the encampments of the Bedouin community (Saudis and Iraqis living in the desert of Arar). This involved leaving the relatively safe confines of Arar Air Base and driving to the Bedouin camps.

It was most important the Saudis did not know we were leaving the compound because they had forbidden us to do so. Four U.S. special Agents would use our ATV's and/or four wheel drive vehicles to conduct these missions. The Saudi Government had active spies collecting information pertaining to our troop strength, our weapons, and any other intelligence they could obtain. The Saudis were providing the intelligence to the Saudi Government, and we were very confident it was also being passed to Iraqi intelligence.

During January 2003 and Feb 2003, Saudi Intelligence officers would boast that the American military was overreacting about Saddam Hussein's weapons of mass destruction. Their bravery changed as we approached the invasion of Iraq in Mar 2003. The high-ranking Saudi officers were scrambling to obtain gas masks and other protective equipment. They knew their equipment was substandard and they wanted U.S.-made protective equipment. We gave them some of ours. The Saudi Intelligence officers were visibly frightened about a potential chemical, biological, or nuclear attack and expressed their fears.

While in Iraq we determined the following:

1. Russian activity in Iraq had been rampant several months prior to the war and up until the day before the invasion.

2. Iranians were infiltrating southern Iraq by the thousands and were preparing to assist insurgents in removing U.S. forces from Iraq.

3. We found numerous pieces of evidence indicating WMD were in Iraq before the war began and some were still in Iraq.

4. I and other agents were informed by Iraqis that a civil war would erupt and violence against U.S. forces would increase due to the Iranian and Russian influence.

All of this information was provided through intelligence channels, but was ignored. Today we are seeing the results of our intelligence being ignored in 2003.

Vulnerability at home

Upon returning from Iraq I left Federal Service to pursue a career educating U.S. law enforcement in the U.S. I wrote a book titled "Arabic for law enforcement and military". During my lectures to local, county, and state law enforcement officers it was revealed the true first line defenders in the U.S. are not trained nor prepared to combat terrorism in the U.S. (through no fault of their own). The local law enforcement agencies were not receiving adequate funds or assistance from the Federal Government to fight terrorism. The majority advised they were supposed to be the first line defenders, but in actuality they did not even know what Al-Qaeda meant, and/or could not point out Iraq or Iran on a map. They had no Arabic language training.

I began conducting research and talking with experts from various fields and determined three significant facts that I corroborated by further research:

1. The terrorists groups such as Hezbollah, Hamas, and Al-Qaeda each had different leaders and to some degree operated in different ways, but they each had the same two goals (destroy Israel and destroy America and any country that supported either).

2. Our nuclear research centers were very vulnerable to an attack and the potential for a suicide bomber using a dirty radiological bomb from these facilities was and is a high probability. Note: Vic Walter and Brian Ross of ABC News did an excellent report on the lack of security at these facilities. I received an enormous amount of information from individuals associated with Russian nuclear programs that there is nuclear material being sold on the black market and nuclear material is in the hands of Islamic Extremists.

3. Terrorist sleeper cells are located primarily in Virginia, New York, North Carolina, Michigan, Florida, California, and Canada. The "sleepers" are prepared to conduct terrorist attacks within the U.S., and nuclear material is available to them. "Prepared" in this instance indicates they have the necessary tools to carry out their attacks and are prepared to die.

4. Non profit organizations such as CAIR, ISNA, MANA, MSA, and several other Islamic based groups are in actuality simply fronts for Al Qaeda and Hamas. The leadership within these groups receives funds and training from the Saudi government. The Internal Revenue Service(IRS) allows these groups to operate freely throughout the U.S. and at American’s taxpayer’s expense. Essentially the IRS grants the groups immunity and the authority to train, organize, and prepare for attacks against our country. Why? Because CAIR and other such groups have a confidential informant network much better than even our FBI. CAIR uses contractors such as Corey Saylor (Simple Resolve Company) to place interns into our elected official’s offices, and into organizations such as the IRS.

Terrorist operations are active in the U.S. and are being operated/financed by Al Qaeda throughout the U.S.

U.S. citizens need to understand there are people trained and prepared to carry our suicide missions in the U.S. and nothing are off limits. Churches, malls, and even the schools our children attend are not off limits to suicide bombers. It is only a relatively short time before the U.S. will begin seeing suicide terrorist missions.

I will continue to research terrorism related issues in the U.S. and Canada and will bring forward the results. Nuclear reactors are located on a large number of major university campuses in the U.S. There locations are not classified and are described on the internet.

Children are the ones who suffer in wartime and I want to prevent any child from ever having to experience a terrorist attack.

Shariah Law

Shariah, often referred to as “Islamic Law,” is in actuality a legal doctrine based on the Quran and Hadiths (sayings and acts of Mohammed), but one which goes far beyond what Westerners would regard as religious matters or routine legal matters.

Shariah has in fact been introduced into U.S. civil court cases in many states, mostly in the area of family law - see this summary of 17 representative cases from 11 states: Illinois, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Tennessee and Texas.

Shariah covers all aspects of life, including criminal law, domestic law, statecraft and warfare (Jihad). Shariah encompasses personal ethics and legal issues, religion and state governance, this world and the afterlife. Shariah is said to enforce the will of Allah, as opposed to the will of humans. Shariah regulates belief, speech and religious practice, criminal and legal matters, and other fields including finance and war. There is no such thing as a separate secular authority or secular law under doctrinal Shariah, since religion and state are not distinct, but are one.

Shariah is the strict, exclusive law of the land or basis of that law in Saudi Arabia, Iran and Sudan. It is also enforced in Taliban-controlled areas of Afghanistan and Pakistan, as well as enclaves around the world controlled by violent Jihadist organizations. Shariah is either a parallel legal system or partly integrated into the legal systems of the other Islamic-majority nations, such as Egypt and Morocco. Some pro-Shariah groups such as the Muslim Brotherhood also support democratic elections as long as they result in governments, constitutions, legal systems and societies based on Shariah.

Shariah mandates violent Jihad as a religious obligation. Violent Jihad’s purpose against non-Muslims or former Muslims is to establish Islam’s rule worldwide. The establishment of Shariah rule is a stated goal of Al Qaeda, the Taliban, Hezbollah, HAMAS, Al Shabaab, Abu Sayaf, Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jemaah Islamiya and other Jihadist known or designated terrorist organizations, as well as the Muslim Brotherhood.

Shariah is frequently encountered in family law cases across the USA today; in Shariah-compliant accommodations that may result in discrimination against non-Muslims; and in Shariah-Compliant Finance on Wall Street and in the U.S. government.

Tennessee and Louisiana have passed laws to prevent the infiltration of Shariah into their court systems.

Reject proposal banning Sharia

Last week, Texas state Rep. Leo Berman, R-Tyler, proposed a Texas state constitutional amendment that would prevent Texas courts from applying "any religious or cultural law." Many Texans are understandably concerned about the threat posed by Muslim jihadists around the world who believe in imposing Sharia, the sacred law ofIslam, wherever possible. However, this is no way to address that Muslim threat. This amendment not only sends the wrong message to Muslims in Texas; it sets an ironic precedent that "religious and cultural" values have no place in our laws.

Berman is following Oklahoma, where voters adopted a similar amendment in the November election. That amendment was subsequently blocked by a federal judge, who ruled it violated the First Amendment. My concern is not so much that this initiative violates the First Amendment — an overused argument, if there ever was one - but that the law would officially oppose the religion of a significant number of Texans, and that it makes an absurd distinction between law, culture and religion.

Hundreds of thousands of Muslims live in Texas, with especially large numbers in Houston. (Pakistanis probably represent the largest Muslim group in Texas.) It is an observable fact that the vast majority of Texas Muslims live in peace with their nonMuslim neighbors, and have no practical interest in imposing Sharia on Texans. Of course, there are exceptions to the rule, most obviously the accused Fort Hood shooter Nidal Hassan, who infamously murdered 13 people, apparently in the name of Islam. Muslims worldwide have to contend with the fact that among their one billion adherents, there is certainly a jihadist element that kills in Islam's name, and would impose Muslim law on others.

But does that reality require the state of Texas to adopt what, by any reasonable standard, is an anti-Muslim amendment? No, this is hardly the message we should send to our Muslim citizens. Instead, we should focus on rigorously rooting out terror cells in America and abroad, and controlling immigration so that radicals such as the "underwear bomber," Umar Abdulmutallab, are never admitted to the country. But we have several million Muslims already living in America, and communicating religious hostility toward them as official government policy is totally inappropriate. Doing so will only help radicalize those already on the margins of jihadism.

Furthermore, a look at the text of this amendment shows just how ill-conceived it is. Not apply any "religious or cultural law"? Many religious conservatives and traditional jurists might wonder what other kind of law there is. To be fair, the amendment implies that courts should only consider law approved through normal legislative processes or a referendum, but in the end, this amendment implies that religion and culture cannot influence our law as Texans.

The problem is that religion and culture inform all law. Our laws emerge from a common Judeo-Christian, or one might say Abrahamic, tradition of morality. This is especially true of criminal law. We know that murder and stealing are wrong because our time-honored religious principles have told us so, from Moses' descent from Mount Sinai to today. Texans overwhelmingly approved a ban on same-sex marriage in 2005 - would anyone deny that much of the support for this amendment emerged from religious conviction? Let's not throw out the baby with the bathwater.

Surely all Texans would agree that no religious minority should impose its specific requirements on us all, whether this minority's requirements emerge from a Christian sect, Mormonism, Judaism or Islam. I suspect that we can agree, for instance, that we should not pass a law requiring all women in Texas to wear a head covering (thehijab), nor should judges make a ruling to that effect. But is that a real threat? I see no evidence that it is. A more realistic challenge comes from those who say that faith should have no role whatsoever in American public life. It is highly ironic, showing just how poorly framed the amendment is, that this strict separation of faith from law is just what Berman's amendment seems to endorse.

Young Iranian girls are forced into abusive, temporary marriages. Their heart wrenching personal stories were shared by muslim author Nadia Shahram at Buffalo Seminary all girls high school, and the stories struck a chord with the teens even though they live in a completely different world.

“Reading about how girls younger than me are getting married off and how they’re abused by their husbands and beaten and really looked down on by all of society, that seemed really wrong,” said Eliza Hopkins, a sophomore at Buffalo Seminary.

“It’s a horrible thing when you can’t really turn for people to help, and I just hope that those girls know that here in Buffalo Seminary they have support,” said Jourdan Green, also a sophomore at Buffalo Seminary.

Shahram spoke to the students about countless cases of so called honor killings that happen right here in the U.S., perpetrated by muslim men who kill their daughters, wives and other relatives for being to westernized or disobeying their husbands.

Shahram was driven to explore the topic after the 2009 beheading death of Assiya Hassan in Orchard Park.

“She did everything, every strong young woman should do in such an abusive situation, but still, she was killed,” said Shahram.

Although Shahram appeared as a guest on Hassan’s Muslim-American television network, she did not know Assiya very well. But after attending everyday of the trial for her murder this week, “I respect her so much more now that I’m coming to know in detail, she really tried her best to get out,” said Shahram.

Muslims waging jihad against Americans is so commonplace now that a few sentences is all they get. How many incidents go totally unreported?

LONDON — A British court on Friday approved the extradition of a terror suspect wanted in the United States in what the authorities say was a plot to detonate explosives on the New York subway.

City of Westminster Magistrates’ Court says that the suspect, Abid Naseer, can be sent to the United States to stand trial for his alleged role in a terror campaign that the officials said would have struck at targets in Britain, Norway and the United States.

The authorities had previously connected the plot to a foiled plan to detonate explosives aboard a New York subway and a suspected plot to bomb a busy shopping area in the northern England city of Manchester.

Mr. Naseer can appeal the decision.

When three of the Lackawanna Six complete their prison terms, they will have the chance to start new lives under new identities — courtesy of the U. S. government.

That’s because they struck a bargain with the government: their testimony against Osama bin Laden’s media secretary in exchange for a fresh start.

Yahya A. Goba, Sahim Alwan and Yasein A. Taher are, in fact, already living under aliases while finishing out their time behind bars.

But three other members of the Lackawanna Six who also visited bin Laden’s terrorist training camp in Afghanistan prior to the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks have not gotten the same benefit to start anew.

Faysal H. Galab, the first to take a plea deal, received the shortest sentence, seven years, and is now out of federal custody and living in the Detroit area under his own name.

Shafal A. Mosed is out of prison and in a federal halfway house in Rochester working as a day laborer. He plans to move back to Lackawanna and rejoin his wife and child in September, according to members of the Yemenite community in Lackawanna.

His brother, who refused to speak about Mosed’s upcoming return, pointed out that Galab has managed to succeed in quietly moving on with his life.

Mukhtar al-Bakri, the only member of the Lackawanna Six still incarcerated at a highly secure special unit at the federal penitentiary in Terre Haute, Ind., is notexpected to be released until early 2011.

At a Guantanamo Bay military tribunal last October, Alwan and Taher said they were testifying against bin Laden’s aide in the hopes that when they complete their prison sentences the government will give them new identities.

By law, the special consideration they were seeking had to be made public.

And all signs indicate they got their wish.

Alwan, Taher and Goba are no longer at Terre Haute. Their names have vanished from the federal Bureau of Prison’s public records and federal officials decline to comment on their whereabouts, though officials in the case say they remain imprisoned.

When they are released, they will have the choice of continuing in the witness protection program or going the route of Galab and Mosed and assimilating back into society under their true identities.

But if they remain under federal protection, it means severing ties with their past, a routine requirement for those in the program in order to help ensure their safety.

U. S. Marshal Peter A. Lawrence would not comment on the Lackawanna Six specifically, but pointed out that the witness protection program, run by the Marshal Service, has remained a success over the decades because of its strict rules.

“The program has never lost anybody so long as they stay within the rules,” Lawrence said. “You need to abide by the conditions that are set.”

When the six were arrested on the one-year anniversary of 9/11, they found themselves at the center of the Bush administration’s domestic efforts to fight terrorism. The result was a storm of unwanted national attention on the Yemenite community in Lackawanna.

Many there expressed frustration over the lack of judgment the young men exercised in going to Afghanistan and one of the men’s fathers told his son’s attorney that he would personally behead the young man if he had any intentions of harming America, a lawyer in the case said.

But times have changed and now the government, barring the unforeseen, will end up launching Alwan, Goba and Taher into new lives when they re-enter society either later this year or next year.

…Goba’s 10-year prison sentence was cut by one year. With accrued good time, he could be free by next year. Taher, sentenced to eight years, could be free later this year. Alwan, sentenced to 9z years, is expected to be free in 2010.

Goba’s Lackawanna relatives say his wife and child will not be joining him when he is freed and that his experiences during incarceration have made him extremely nervous, though they refused to further discuss his case.

An update on this post – Michigan judge oks feds AIG sharia entanglement -from theThomas More Law Center:

Last week, Judge Lawrence P. Zatkoff, a federal district court judge in Michigan, dismissed a constitutional challenge to the U.S. Government’s bailout of AIG, which used over a hundred million dollars in federal tax money to support Islamic religious indoctrination through the funding and promotion of Sharia-compliant financing (SCF). SCF is financing that follows the dictates of Islamic law.

The challenge was brought by the Thomas More Law Center (TMLC), a national public interest law firm based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and co-counsel David Yerushalmi, on behalf of Kevin Murray, a Marine Corps veteran of the Iraqi War. TMLC filed a notice of appeal immediately after the ruling and will be seeking review of the decision in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit.

Richard Thompson, President and Chief Counsel of TMLC, commented: “Judge Zatkoff’s ruling allows for oil–rich Muslim countries to plant the flag of Islam on American soil. His ruling ignored the uncontested opinions of several Sharia experts and AIG’s own website, which trumpeted Sharia-compliant financing as promoting the law of the Prophet Mohammed and as an ‘ethical product,’ and a ‘new way of life.’ His ruling ignored AIG’s use of a foreign Islamic advisory board to control investing in accordance with Islamic law.”

Continued Thompson: “This astonishing decision allows the federal government as well as AIG and other Wall Street bankers to explicitly promote Sharia law ─ the 1200 year old body of Islamic canon law based on the Koran, which demands the destruction of Western Civilization and the United States. This is the same law championed by Osama bin Laden and the Taliban; it is the same law that prompted the 9/11 Islamic terrorist attacks; and it is the same law that is responsible for the murder of thousands of Christians throughout the world. The Law Center will do everything it can to stop Sharia law from rearing its ugly head in America.”

Muise concluded, “Apparently, the court does not believe that the federal government violates the U.S. Constitution when it provides $153 million in taxpayer money to support Islamic religious activities. This is certainly more than the ‘one pence’ James Madison warned about when he helped craft the First Amendment, and I am sure this decision is news for all of the Christian and Jewish organizations and businesses that are prevented from receiving a dime of federal tax money to support their religious activities.”

The appeal is expected to take at least a year to complete.

January 8, 2011 could very well turn out to be a milestone in the history of Muslim civil rights activism and inter-faith bridge building. On that cold blustery morning, Muslim Peace Coalition organized an initiative to educate the Muslim community and other members of the public on the methods needed to peacefully combat the growing Islamophobia.

…The program was specifically designed to train the public on the proper techniques needed to successfully organize and mobilize for the April 9th mass anti war and anti-islamophobia rally. The event took place in the Islamic Center of Long Island and ran from 9 am till 6 PM. Representatives from various Muslim and non Muslim organizations were in attendance.

The third session discussed the media and how individuals and organizations could influence the media and use it as an effective tool to educate the public and influence the policy makers. Bob Keeler, an editor from Newsday talked about various ways that Muslims could have their voices heard in the media. His practical tips from maintaining individual contacts to fruitful and regular meetings with the editorial board, and on getting the community portrayed in a positive light in all sections of the print media- news, editorial, culture,religion and style were priceless. He asked them to write in the Op-ed sections and contribute to any other column that they were well acquainted with. Dr. Shaik Ubaid then touched upon previous examples to show how a community can have an effective media-relations effort.

More evidence the media is complicit. Some of the Islamists fomenting Muslim hatred against Americans include:

Abdul Malik Mujahid

An array of books is available on Islamic sites in the United States offering books for sale with titles such as “Commanders of the Muslim Army”. What is noteworthy about this tome is that the publisher is none other then Abdul Malik Mujahid, the newly elected chairman of the Council of Islamic organisations of Greater Chicago (CIOGC) which is regarded as a mainstream Muslim organisation, but is part of a large Chicago Wahabist network closely aligned with the Bridgeview mosque Foundation, whose spokemen include Rafiq Jaber, is the head of the Islamic Association of Palestine, and Oussama Jammal, who claimed that Muslims were not involved in the 9/11 attacks. Jamal runs a film company and closely linked to Mujahid’s Sound Vision which is a multi media Islamist propagation commercial enterprise.

Several Bridgeview Mosque Foundation members, including a the head of the Quranic Literacy Institute who claimed he was publishing religious texts, were recently convicted of terrorism funding in a case brought by the parents of American teenager David Boim, who had been gunned down at a bus stop by Hamas terrorists.

There are zero degrees of separation between The Council of Islamic Organisations of Greater Chicago, the Bridgeview Mosque Foundation and Hamas and Al Qaeda affiliated individuals and organistions. The fact that the CIOGC and the disingenuously named Muslim Civil Rights Center, were awarded funding “to help Muslims become American citizens”, is futher proof of the organisation’s Islamist agenda.

Shamsi Ali, the Deputy Imam of the Islamic Cultural Center of New York and Director of the Jamaica Muslim Center, who was the moderator at a February 2006 demonstration against Danish cartoons of Muhammad held outside the Danish Consulate in Manhattan, where a poster was seen being waived which read, “Insult the Prophet, you will pay, Allah’s wrath is on the way.”

Amin Abdul Latif, President (Ameer) of Majlis Ashura of New York City in Brooklyn: Latif signed his name to an open letter to President Bush in support of Algeria’s Islamic Salvation Front, the organization responsible for the creation of the Armed Islamic Group.
