Quit complaining, because no matter what you call the onesie, jumper, or romper, it can look kind of amazing on most any body type. We love clothing that shortens our early-morning closet shuffle, and this one-step item incorporates the convenience of a dress with the practicality of a pair of shorts. We've selected a few stand-out rompers that are fitting for daytime escapades, special evenings, even the office. But before you step into one, scan our styling tips, which are sure to help you avoid any one-piece blunders.

A Little Cinch Goes A Long Way—Clothing that's cut to fit your entire body can lose definition at the waist. Add a belt, or select a romper that includes a cinched waistline to enhance your natural curves.

Keep It PG (Or At Least PG-13)—Be sure to select a romper that covers your derrière (we recommend jumping around in the fitting-room to make sure!). The weather may be warm, but that's not really an excuse for a full moon.

Prints, Prints, Prints—There's no shortage of bold prints, and we encourage you to try them all! But, be selective. If you're very petite, a large, loud, floor-length print may swallow you up. So, opt for a print and silhouette that's a little more understated.

Work Those Gams—A romper, whether shorts, cropped, or full-leg, can make your gams look like they go on for miles. Play them up and avoid sandals with thick ankle straps that can segment your shape in an unflattering way.

www.refinery29.com

Beach Chic by M&Co

Spring has finally sprung and soon we will all be thinking about our summer holiday, or more importantly our holiday wardrobe! In fact, Marc Jacobs based his last womenswear collection at Louis Vuitton around obsession and fetish, two key notions when it comes to accessories. Even though logomania is not as hot as it used to be – at least within the Western world – there's no denying that bags keep on generating major interest from buyers and customers alike.

Nina Bodenhorst, the 26-year-old founder and designer of Niyona, clearly understands the power of bags. She launched her own label in November last year, determined to make something that could satisfy her personal taste, as well as reflect the design heritage of Belgium, where she creates and produces her line: “It was important for me to have my own brand, but I felt strongly about having it made in Belgium. Nowadays, most bag companies outsource their production elsewhere in order to reduce costs, but I really wanted Niyona to go back to craft and artisanship, which are two core values for me” With a background in Industrial Design – Bodenhorst graduated in 2007 from the prestigious Ecole de la Cambre in Brussels – and an internship at Delvaux, she quickly understood that making bags was her thing. Still, a desire for practicality and functional features were essential to her vision: “We started out with two styles, which were based around this idea of being able to carry shoes or clothes into your own bag. We added a zipped compartment, where you could always store a comfortable pair of ballerinas if you got tired of walking in high heels all day. I remember going to Paris during Fashion Week and made a quick stop at Printemps and Galeries Lafayette to see what accessory brands they had. Sales assistants kept stopping us asking where our bags were from and I realised there was a potential to turn my passion into a brand.”

Bodenhorst loves little details and leaves nothing to chance. Her creations are individual and have a voice of their own. She uses plaid cotton to line her bags and likes combining colours and different textures, playing with quilting on quite a few of her styles. However, do not start thinking that Coco Chanel was an obvious inspiration: “I use quilting, because it reminds me of motorbikes, which were basically part of my childhood here. I define it as a soft biker touch, something that has to do with freedom and a sense of escape. It's like that feeling you get from riding a motorbike, leaving restrictions behind and being able to go anywhere.” Niyona's discreet logo displays a pair of stylised wings, demonstrating Bodenhorst's belief in independence. Completely self-financed, she's taking time to hone her concept and will be launching her e-store at the end of the month. She took part in the last edition of Showroom Belgium at the beginning of March – organised by WBDM and FFI – which proved useful in terms of contacts and business opportunities. In terms of price points, the range is similar to French brand Lancel, starting at 535 € for the Ariel and going up to 839 € for the Lewis, which is one of the brand's bestsellers. She also had the smart idea of using LED lamps, which can be added on request, to help her clients find their belongings inside their bags.

There's something bubbly and inspiring about Bodenhorst's personality, giving her bags presence and character. She's good at communicating what she believes in, defending honesty rather than seduction: “I'm aware that my bags may not be loved by everyone, but they're really close to my heart and seem to provoke a strong reaction. I just want to keep on evolving as a designer and refine my perspective on accessories. Possibilities with bags are endless, making them exciting items to work with.”

Philippe Pourhashemi | TribaSpace fashiontrendsetter.com

Trends by Indigo for Spring/Summer 2011

POSITIVE
"Positive" is the key word of the Spring/Summer 2011. It determinedly showcases a lighter spirit a desire to be borne off by fantasy and joie de vivre.

NATURE
Lying low for the past few seasons, nature once again becomes a decisive influence. Unexpected interpretations abound, where ultra-realism confronts the fictional and artificial.

COLOR
Color is essential as a key value! A bold use of color, where brights grow more intense and go back and forth between the natural and the artificial, pastels mix in with acid or overexposed accents, and neutrals play on sensual nuances.

LIGHT
Light diffuses its energy, revealing itself in intense transparencies, and pigmenting darks\
www.fashiontrendsetter.com

Trends Autumn/Winter 2009 / 2010

<img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; from time to time in the reliable way you expect, sometimes in anunpredictable way that will add a second layer to the discovery of the textile and the garment.
We have highlighted the colours we have judged to be in fashion for

AW 09-10 through the following five atmospheres:

<img style="margin: 0pt 10px 10px 0pt; It is characterized by long time established values -
NB! no retro hunch - re-thought in a modern context for a modernlife style. This attitude is aiming for the peak: classic colours, which become freshly appealing in the way
they are arranged.

The materials applied - classics re-viewed and sophisticated moderns -

only the most excellent - will add to the resourcefull feeling.

HYBRID

is unpredictable! Where things are not what they seem to be. Effects are mixed and dissolved andre-arranged in new surprising constellations.
Equal to the range of colours simply covering the warm, red spectrum.

Surfaces are more important than the material on which the play unfolds.

Dye- and printing techniques uncommon for winter materials are to be explored
for this autumn / winter season. For a quick day-to-night change, throw on a dress shirt and a blazer for an up-to-the-minute evening look that isn’t too stuffy for hot summer nights.

Paul Smith polo shirtTrend:

This spring, fashion's powers that be were inspired by the swank of Studio 54’s glory days. Unlike past fashion flashbacks of that era, this one promises all of the glamour without any of the kitsch. To achieve that perfect, suave ‘70s edge without veering into tasteless territory, quality is key.

A close-fitting knitted polo shirt like this one from Paul Smith, for example, will be extremely flattering for most body shapes and will give your walk just the right amount of cool swagger. Get yourself a pair of contemporary boot-cut jeans and consider your shopping for stylish casual attire done for the season.

Ray-Ban aviator sunglassesTrend:

To modernize the golden era of the playboy without the tackiness associated with ‘70s revival looks, top off your swingin’ style with a pair of sleek aviators. Of course, no one does them better than Ray-Ban. Lightweight and durable, these sunglasses have scratch-resistant lenses and offer 100% protection from UV rays.

But really, when you look this good in them, who cares about anything else? For the hippest way to say “Let’s get it on” this season without getting slapped in the face, pair these shades with some slim-cut trousers.

Puma Drift Cat sneakers

Sporty-chic is one of the biggest looks for the season, and the fastest way to get in on this trend is with a pair of sneakers. Get a slim, sleek pair like these Pumas and wear them with absolutely everything. You'll also rejoice that you can still get a lot of mileage out of these kicks long after this trend has passed.

Rhett Essex coatTrend:

Carried over from last winter’s trends, the color gray remains a staple in any stylish man’s wardrobe this season. While winter focused on heavier grays, spring runways have featured a variety of hues -- from the lightest white-grays to deep, dark charcoals -- with an emphasis on mixing palettes by combining subtle and rich shades in the same outfit.

This lightweight, wool-cashmere blend coat from Theory will get you through the rainier months in vogue, and its classic, sophisticated cut also means it will quickly become a favorite staple in your closet.

Emporio Armani suitTrend:

Designers definitely place an emphasis on comfort for spring, with everything including suits getting a looser, more relaxed cut. This viscose-linen suit from Emporio Armani is a great example of spring’s tendency for all things laid-back.

Cut the way only Italian suits can be, these perfectly coordinated pieces are airy enough to allow your body to breathe, but smart enough to make them appropriate for any respectable meeting. Since the blazer and trousers can each be worn separately in order to carry the relaxed trend through the rest of your wardrobe, consider this suit an investment for the season.

Silk Lingerie the Ultimate Luxury

Silk is for many the height of luxury and until recent times the reserve of only the rich or famous. However that as all changed thanks to modern textile production techniques and the blending of the silk with other yarns. Now you can enjoy the soft caress of silk lingerie or nightwear without the need to sell one of your vital organs.

In fact these modern blends of silk satin are rivaling the traditional man made fabric satin in both price and durability. All this is good news for lovers of silk lingerie and elegant pure silk nightwear who appreciate the finer things in life.

There is no doubt at all that silk is one of the most tactile of natures fabrics, soft light and smooth to the touch. Silk nightwear looks beautiful as it drapes over the body, the way it moves over the skin so gentle and light is almost poetic. The way this shinny soft material catches the light whilst changing in hue and colour is also quite unique. There are not many people who don't like silk and it is still associated with the idea of luxury.

There are very few ladies who don't appreciate the quality of this fabulous material in some way or another. For some it is the look and feel of a pure silk blouse or in fact any kind of outer clothing made from this slinky soft material that they enjoy. But the most popular silk garments are items of pure silk lingerie trimmed with lace and pretty satin ribbon. You can enjoy a huge range of lingerie products made from silk and trimmed in contrasting delicate lace not just bras with matching panties but so much more besides.

There is still a huge demand for smooth slinky silk slips in all the different styles. From pretty feminine half slips to those all enveloping full silk slips with the built up shoulders. All trimmed with stunning lace at the hem and matching satin ribbons at the bodice so delicately soft in all the shinny colours you can imagine. These beautiful slips in pure silk satin are perfect for wearing under those long satin gowns or party frocks.

A smooth slinky silk camisole makes a great gift especially with matching French knickers and a suspender belt to go with some smooth silky stockings. They make a lovely sight trimmed with delicate contrasting lace and side slits at the legs finished off with matching satin ribboned bows. A great way to make an extra special impression with these delicate silk indulgences is to have them gift boxed and wrapped. The present looks beautiful before you even get it out of the box, which all adds to the excitement and pleasure of receiving your silky delights.

For those who fully appreciate the beauty and pureness of silk only the very best will do. For them the ultimate luxury is to sleep in nightwear and bedding made from soft dreamy silk. They love to wear elegant silk nightgowns and matching silk robes trimmed in the finest delicate laces. Then later to slip between smooth cool silken sheets feeling silk against silk as they slip into a bed of pure decadent luxury soft and gentle against their skin.

If you love the feeling of pure silk yourself there is no good reason why you can't enjoy its luxury. Whether you desire silk lingerie or nightwear your desires can be fulfilled for less than you may think. Thanks to the great deals you can find in the online lingerie stores silk is now more affordable than ever. So why not indulge yourself for once and slip into some soft smooth and sensuous you know you deserve the best.

Skiwear 2007

Cold-weather sports enthusiasts have never had it so good when it comes to stylish gear that will keep you looking hot on the slopes. Gone are the days of bulky snow pants and jackets, and color palettes restricted to black and green. Thanks to the use of high-tech fabrics and the recruitment of design masters to create edgy styles, winter sportswear is sleeker and more waterproof and moisture-wicking than ever. So combine your need for speed with these adrenaline-ratcheting fashions to knock the wind out of all those cute snow bunnies.

Burton cargo pant

Burton makes these cargos in short, mid-fit and tall sizes, so you can ensure that these ultra-hip snowboard pants will be fitted enough to show your shape, but loose enough to be totally comfortable. As far as function is concerned, these pants are lined with a polyester mesh that wicks sweat and moisture away to keep you both warm and dry.

In addition, seams are fully taped, meaning that your skin is completely protected from the elements. Easy-reach side pockets add extra style while providing plenty of space for keys, sunblock and other on-the-slope necessities. Just don’t forget to add a pen and a piece of paper to collect all those phone numbers that'll be coming your way.

Spyder Scorpion pant

Though they remain popular with many skiers, I’m sure you will agree that it’s hard to look smokin’ hot in a pair of suspender-style ski pants. Fortunately, Spyder has come to the rescue of fashionable skiers everywhere with these adjustable waist, no-suspenders-required pants for alpine skiing.

With a slim construction, water-repellant finish and Thinsulate lining, these pants are both smart-looking and warm. And side zips on the legs lend a rock‘n‘roll vibe to these pants all while making it easier to get your boots on (or off). Plus, unlike wearing suspender snow pants, you won’t look like a tool if you’re hanging out in these apres ski.

You’re going to need a jacket and some gloves to complete your look

The North Face M Centaur jacket
After rigorously testing their product in both the lab and real-life outdoor situations, The North Face brings you this breathable, waterproof jacket with the guarantee that you won’t find anything comparable for a lesser price. Other great features of this jacket include an internal security pocket, an adjustable hood for extra head warmth, and hand-warmer pockets. But this coat isn't all function and no fun:

The small, gray, graphic pattern is artsy and will make a serious style statement. Best of all, a hidden media pocket lets you bring along your iPod to take your snow adventure to the next level.

Columbia Hart Mountain hoodie

Three layers are the rule for remaining toasty in subzero weather conditions, so you’ll be needing a warm, cozy piece like this Columbia hoodie. Flip through it and take notice of the new collections before heading to malls in order to avoid purchasing outdated styles. A fashion trend usually lasts for three years; therefore, try to catch a fad before it reaches its peak. Only avid trendsetters pay premium prices for first-year collections; thriftier, stylish people should wait until after the holidays because that's when prices drop drastically.

2- Always check that garments do not have any manufacturing defects. Scan the items for unwanted color fading or defective stitching. It is better to be safe than sorry because discount bargains usually have a no-return policy. Also if minor defects are found, they can be used as bargaining chips and prices could drop even lower.

3- Try things on. Generally, when buying on impulse, men will not try clothes on and regret it later. The importance of trying things on is only logical; off-the-rack clothes are not haute couture and may not suit your body. A common error is purchasing clothing a size too big or too small assuming that weight gain or weight loss will occur in coming weeks. This speculation drives men to purchase items that hang in the closet until they're given away.

winter wear Here are a few items that are often discounted in February that you may want to look out for. These are bargain items that will either be in style next winter or that will carry you through a good part of the spring as well.

Jacket

A good down jacket, like this quilted one from Kenneth Cole Reaction will surely keep you warm well into the end of winter. Buying winter clothes in spring-inspired colors is a smart way to slowly integrate your wardrobe into the coming season. This light blue silk and cashmere sweater from Banana Republic is a perfect way to gear up for spring while also adding to your winter wardrobe on a budget.february fashionsThe scarcity of selection and the risks of garments being passé will make winter shopping time-consuming. Remember: Time is money; unless you're a shopaholic it's not worth spending hours searching for bargains. Is it ultimately worth spending hours hunting for bargains simply to fill closet space? No. But if you happen to stroll around the mall and discover a shirt that fits perfectly and is heavily discounted, buy it.

Season Summary Fall/Winter 2007/08

A new timeless elegance...a technical and urban outdoors theme comprised of vintage elements. However, a good vintage store will re-tag all the garments with their modern equivalent size. But if you are shopping at a second-hand store or the like, this won't be done for you. There are a couple of things to remember:

1 In vintage eras there was no such thing as stretch. While today’s clothing such as fitted

dresses and suit pants usually contain a little elastane to give stretch and a snug fit, vintage

clothing typically does not. As a result, things that “look” like they are your size may be in fact

    smaller than they appear.

2 Size labels are merely a suggestion. As a rule, vintage garments (especially those made

around the 50s and 60s) can jump down one or two sizes. So a 50s size 10 is more like a

modern size 8, a 12 like a 10 and so on. That said, it wasn’t until much later that women’s

sizing became standardised, so often one company’s idea of a size 10 would be another’s size

     14.

So as a rule always, always try on garments. Or take down your measurements along your bust

line, across the shoulders, true waist and hips and write this down. This way if you are somewhere you can’t try on something you will be sure of the fit.

Tips and Tricks

When shopping for vintage it’s a good idea to thoroughly check everything out. The most important is the fabric itself – if there is pulling, tearing or wearing it may not be worth the effort.

Think about the fact that you want something to look as new as possible so that you can get the most wear out of it. Check the inside seams for seam allowances (to allow things to be let in or out) and check the allowances on zips as well, just in case these need replacing.

Bra Fitting

The thing with underwear, lingerie if you will, is that it should feel like you’re wearing nothing at all. Beauty shouldn’t come at a cost, especially not one that involves any of the above scenarios.

Bra buying is a fairly daunting task.

Firstly, how to get the right fit

Before you even put the bra on, ensure straps are completely loosened when first putting on bra. The tunic dresses and voluminous smocks in the shops right now have the added advantage of hiding a whole host of imperfections, from chunky thighs to bulging tummies.

This year the collection includes voluminous painter's smocks in earthy colours with delicate pin-tucking around the collars and short cap-sleeved grey tunic dresses.

Some were layered over light silk blouses and worn over thick ribbed wool tights. And with so many silhouettes and style to choose from, why should they be? Tweed has made a strong comeback and continues to push ahead.

Thick, substantial fabrics are completely in, so go for layering a few heavier fabrics this season. Your tweed jacket will go far as a casual workwear blazer or a regular comfy kickback piece, but you'll have an added trendy touch.

And if you are squeamish about looking too bundled, just try the more slender silhouettes that we've been seeing.

The Look

Tweed jackets hold their own in reworked classics perfect for traveling, working, or just kicking back. With a tailored feel, a slightly nipped-in waist, and sophisticated details, tweed jackets have fresh appeal.

Despite the newer flavor to tweed jackets, they'll always have enough classic appeal to keep them in closets forever. It's being paired with patched, lightly distressed corduroy, soft jeans, and pegged trousers. Soft chambray shirts and shined lace-ups complete the look.

Designers

The runways are packed with reworked British classics with an anything-but-country feel. John Varvatos is one such designer who is giving us reworked tweed pieces to set the pace for the season. His flare for the creative is worked into tweed jackets with tailored militaristic details. For an even trendier piece from Varvatos, wear his dip-dyed tweed jacket.

Ralph Lauren is another perfect choice for tweeds. He's known for his country-club pieces and is a perfect source for your upscale tweed jacket. This season is certainly no exception, with tweed pocket details in an almost safari style to add serious interest. Even more unusual is the patchwork tweed coat in a mix of colors and patterns—certainly a look to be showcased with basics!

Perfect for those of us on a budget, J. Crew offers very sophisticated tweed jackets with detailed touches. Using Harris Tweed, which is made from a special blend of virgin wool and local Scottish wool, these tweed jackets provide substantial quality for your money. Plus, they've recently updated their tweeds to give them a current feel, so you'll save money and look perfect, too.

How to Pull off the Look

MatchingTry your tweed with dark denim for your dressed-down time. Avoid any denim with an overly light or holey appearance—this just doesn't jive with your tweed's refined air. To dress up tweed even more, it can be paired with navy or gray trousers.

Style Tips

For a smart vibe, wear a tweed jacket complete with soft suede accents. Just try to avoid any other concessions of an academic nature to keep you from looking too collegiate—no pipes or tan-colored corduroy trousers allowed!

If a tweed jacket is a bit much for you, try a tweed hat with a little British flair. A newsboy cap or fedora is a nod in the right direction to one of the biggest trends of the season.

shearling jackets

Good quality jacket in the winter keeps you warm. But this season, shearling jackets are giving us a chance to keep warm and keep stylish, too.

Once you know how shearling jackets look like, you will see them popping up everywhere. Shearling jackets are made out of a fur-backed leather pelt, and can be found in real or faux leather, but will have the same great effect.

Shearling coats have a number of variations which makes them so much better to shop for. Soft suede, shiny leather, patch pockets, or a classic aviator style will complement all looks this season.

This season, we've seen lot of shearling jackets, which are perfect layering winter piece. Bottega Veneta's collection had more formal and refined feel to it, with soft tailoring and a slight “broken-in” look to its pieces. Its mid-length shearling jacket was in glossy brown leather with thick fur trim, perfectly accessorized with his signature large duffel bags.

Armani's beautiful shearling coats will strike a cord with any leather coat aficionado. They are beautifully trimmed and cut, and when played against the velvet in his season's collection, look completely sumptuous. Another runway beauty was found at Karl Lagerfeld, although his fur-trimmed pieces weren't technically shearlings and more fur-trimmed coats.

However, Lagerfeld's use of more wild, long fur allows us to envision far more creative versions of the shearling, from exaggerated coat lengths to longer fur lengths, to give us far more options.

Fendi's shearling jackets also give us viewers a touch of romanticism this winter. Fendi's collections are always big on fur and highly creative, and this was no exception. We saw raccoon fur woven through perforated shearling, which brings us to the next point: shearling coats are getting more exciting.

The shearling look that's in is pushing more boundaries than before. Designers are working with fur and faux fur to make it more lifestyle-friendly—dressing it up and down—as well as creating new looks for the fur itself.

If you simply forget about shearling for a moment, think just about leather. A leather jacket—regardless of the style—will remain classic and last through the seasons with ease. Leather, with the proper care, is hard-wearing. It can last and last, so following the trends within reason should still provide you with a wardrobe builder.

Whatever style of shearling jackets you choose; we have some tips to wear yours most successfully. What you need to consider most carefully when wearing your shearling jacket is to make the “feel” of your shearling to the rest of your wardrobe. If your shearling is more rugged, you can't sling one on with your best trousers and head off to work.

Same goes for an elegant style—you probably wouldn't be seen crashing about in the park on the weekend wearing something so refined.

Your best bet for a shearling that matches most of your wardrobe—if that's what you're looking for—is to buy a shearling jacket in a classic shape, such as a shearling-style pea coat. And don't forget that at the end of the season, you need to take your shearling to the cleaner's before packing it away, and waiting to wear it again next season
