Hello crafting friends and welcome to our monthly challenge

at Crafty Gals Corner! I hope you all had a very Blessed and Happy Easter!

The theme for our challenge this month is

~ Anything Goes w/optional twist - Spring ~

This Center Panel Pop up card was cut using a file from Silhouette.

Both the card base cardstock and the pattern paper are from The Paper Studio.

The sweet little watercolor chick is from a Easter Eggs Topper cutting sheet by Marianne Designs. The Easter greeting is from a file from Silhouette, resized to fit my card.

I needed a little something extra for the sides as they looked too plain, so I cut out these little flowers using the Elegant Arrangements die set from Sue Wilson Designs.

I added a white panel to the inside so I can write my personal message.

The butterflies were cut using a Martha Stewart punch.

As you can see, this type of card folds flat for mailing and has very little bulk. I resized this card to be 6.5" x 5" so that it fits perfectly in an A9 envelope.

Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round ~ G, H is for ...

Hello and welcome to this month's challenge at Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round.

Our challenge this month is G, H is for ...

G is for ... Gifts, Gingerbread, Grinch

H is for ... Holly, Hot Chocolate, HoHoHo

I made two cards for this challenge.

My first card ... G is for Gnomes with Gifts

I made these cards from a card kit that I got from Holland. My SIL has a hobby shop very close to where she lives in Holland. Whenever I see a set of these card kits that I like, I ask her to get it for me and then she brings them with her when she comes visit for Christmas.

I managed to find a piece of cardstock in my stash that matched the blue/grey colour (Bazzill - Rain) and using my Silhouette made the mats for the insides. Then I used the Holiday Greetings Tree die from Cottage Cutz to add the sentiment. I used a Crop-A-Dile Corner Chomper and rounded the top corners of each card.

And for my second card ... H is for Holly.

These cards are also from a card kit that I got from the hobby shop in Holland. When I saw the beautiful birds with all the Holly branches and the Holly die cuts, I knew they would be perfect for this challenge.

I created my own personal little mat for the inside of each card. I cut a piece of white cardstock and stamped my sentiment using one of the stamps that comes in the Christmas Greetings stamp set from Great Impressions stamps. I added a dollar bin holly stamp and coloured it in using Copic markers.

Crafty Gals Corner Challenge #275 ~ Anything Goes w/optional twist - Make it Green!

The theme for our challenge this month is

~ Anything Goes w/optional twist - Make it Green ~

Using a couple of files from the Silhouette store and an image from Creative Fabrica, I created this shamrock shaped card.

The pattern paper is from The Paper Studio called Texture - Green.

The cute lil gnome (love his smile - makes me smile 😀) is from the 'Gnomes with Beer' digi set that I got from Creative Fabrica. I was a little hesitant at first to subscribe to Creative Fabrica, but I love, love the Dreaming Tree SVG files and since they joined with Creative Fabrica, it is the only way to get them. However, after browsing through all the contents from so many different wonderful designers, I'm glad that I caved in. It really is one of those "so many pretty projects, so little time" kinda things 😀

I created a white shadow for the lil guy to make him pop from the green background. He's printed on photo paper - makes the image sharp and the colours more vivid.

As you can see, I kept the inside pretty simple. Just a mat for me to write my personal message, and a little greeting banner!

Dragon Birthday Card

Hello everyone. My youngest turns 30 tomorrow! I'm not going to get all mushy, I'm just shocked at how fast time flies!

He loves playing Dungeons & Dragons with his buddies and is normally in the position of Dungeon Master. To be honest he talked me into learning how to play and I did for a while but I quickly found out that I'm not a very good strategist nor do I have a lot of luck rolling the dice :-)

So for his birthday, I made this card - a dragon with a D30 in honour of his 30th birthday 😀

This dragon box card was cut using a file from Silhouette. I used cardstocks from Bazzill and from The Paper Studio. Cutting it out was not the problem, gluing all the layers together, that took some finagling as some of the pieces are pretty dainty. Since I didn't have a darker shade of blue for the back wing, I cut it out using the same blue and then went over it with a copic marker to make it darker.

I cut out the greeting in the same colours as the flames. I used the Happy Birthday w/Shadow die set from Kat Scrappiness. When adhering it to the back panel, I realized that I do not have a lot of space to write my personal message, but then again, I'm not going to get mushy, remember????!!!!

I resized this card to be almost 7" wide when folded flat and 5" tall. I fits into an A9 envelope perfectly.

Our month of March is always a busy one with multiple family birthdays and a wedding anniversary, so I'll be back soon to share a few more cards with you.

Hubby's Birthday Card

Hello everyone. To kick off the month of March and St. Patrick's Day celebrations, I though this would be the perfect card to share with you today. This was the birthday card I made for hubby last year.

This pop up card is a file from Lori Whitlock. I used the Silhouette to cut all the bits and pieces to put this card together. I used Puffy Dimensional Fabric Paint to add the "foam" effect to the mug. Hubby is a beer drinker and that's about all he drinks. His favourite beer is Heineken, and considering he's Dutch, that's not so surprising! 😀 I tried to make the bottles look somewhat like the real deal.

The Pints and Beer Backing Papers are digi files from Dr. Digi's House of Stamps, and were printed on photo paper.

As you can see this 5" x 7" pop up card folds flat for mailing and fits perfectly in an A9 envelope.

Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round ~ E, F is for ...

Hello and welcome to this month's challenge at Christmas Crafts All Year 'Round.

Our challenge this month is E, F is for ...

E is for ... Elf, Evergreen, Eggnog

F is for ... Frosty, Fruitcake, Fleece

Continuing with my personal challenge, I made two cards. One with E and one with F.

So for my first card ... E is for Elf.

I used the Hero Arts Peeking Elf die to make this very cute Elf. Although the outcome is super cute, this is one of those dies that you have to run thru your machine several times, using different colour cardstock each time in order to get the look and colours you want. And then each time you have to cut apart the section you want in that particular colour only to piece it back together again with the other sections. I must admit that I find it quite annoying, thus the reason I don't have a lot of these dies 😀 I like the dies with lots of pieces, so I can put a suitable size piece of cardstock over each piece and then cut them all at the same time with one or two passes thru my Gemini. But that's just me! How do you all feel about it? Maybe leave me your opinion in a comment?

The background pattern paper is from Hunkydory called Christmas Cuties & Colourful Stripes Duo Design Paper Pad. Love this paper pad, it has the cutest papers with beautiful imagery and colours.

For the inside sentiment, I used a stamp from Great Impression Stamps called Christmas Greetings. This card measures 5.5"x 5.5".

And for my second card ... F is for a Fireside Christmas.

Doesn't it look so warm and cozy? I'm pretty sure all I would need would be some hot chocolate and a nice Christmas movie on the TV 😀

To create this Easel Card, I used the Layout Square die from Marianne Design, and one of the images from the Fireside Christmas set that I got from Creative Fabrica.

Card measures 5.5" x 5.5" when closed. It fits in a regular 5.75" square envelope so mailing is not a problem.

Gnome Valentine

Hello friends. I have the last of the Valentine 2026 cards to share with you today.

I'm sure you've noticed that most of them have been very simple to put together. I've used mostly Silhouette files and a few printed images. This is because I'm still not feeling like my normal self and my crafty oomf is still a bit lagging.

With this card, however, I followed the instructions from a tutorial by Sam Calcott. You can follow her tutorial for this Bridge Fold card HERE.

I love the way it came out. Since my image is pretty sturdy, I did not use any acetate. The hearts patterned paper is from The Paper Studio.

The sweet little gnome is from a clipart set called Valentine Gnomes with Flowers. I got it from Creative Fabrica. I printed it on photo paper and then used the Silhouette to cut it. The scalloped mat is also from a Silhouette file.

As you can see, this card folds flat for mailing. Since I was going to hand deliver this card, I made it a 6" x 6" square card.

Valentine Card for Mom

Hello and welcome back. I made this card to send to my mom.

I used a Silhouette file to cut the base of the card and then added a cute image from the Whimsical Valentine Animals Digi set that I purchased at Creative Fabrica. I printed the image onto photo paper and used the Silhouette to cut it. Isn't this bunny adorable? And what a delicious bunch of strawberries!

The inside is a sentiment from a Silhouette file. I used the print feature to print it on the inside of my card. It fit perfectly with the cut out front of the card.

This is a 5" x 7" card with several layers but very little bulk, just perfect to mail overseas 😀 With the various postal strikes overseas, my mom didn't get it in time for Valentine's day, but she has received it now and loves it very much.

Panda Valentine Choo Choo

Welcome back crafting friends. Today I'd like to share the cute Panda Choo Choo box card I made for my grandson.

I made it using a file from the Silhouette store. I think that by now, my dies are feeling very neglected since I've been using Silhouette files quite a bit more.

Here is a side view of this cutie.

And a view of the back. I attached a white panel so I could type my sentiment and it is where I wrote my personal message for the little rascal 😀

As you can see, it all folds down flat for mailing. I sized this card so that it fit perfectly in a 6" x 6" envelope.

My grandson loved his train box card, so once again mission accomplished 😀

I still have another couple of Valentine projects to share with you, so I hope you'll come back for another visit.

Teddy Bear Love

Hello everyone. As promised yesterday, I'm back today to share the Valentine card I made for my granddaughter.

A shopping bag box card with flowers, hearts and a teddy! What could be more cuter?!

This card was made using a file from Silhouette store.

The patterned paper is from my Scraps Drawers and unfortunately I have no information on it anymore.

Side view of this card. I added white twine with gold accents to make the handles of the shopping bag.

I used the Silhouette to print and cut the sentiment and adhered it to the back.

I love box cards. They are always super cute, stand up nicely and fold flat for mailing. Although this one was hand delivered, it is always a plus in my book 😀

My baby girl loved her card, so mission accomplished!

And of course I also made a Valentine card for my little grandson. I will be back tomorrow to share it with you. Till then, stay well and healthy!

Stiletto Birthday card

Hello crafty friends and welcome back.

Today I have a fancy Stiletto birthday card to share with you.

It was all cut using a file from The Dreaming Tree downloaded from Creative Fabrica.

I used my Silhouette to cut all the pieces. Although made to be a Mother's Day card, Dreaming Tree also included other greetings, one of them the Happy Birthday I used.

I added little rhinestones, from Scrappy Tails, to the decorative cut out sides of the card.

I made a panel to adhere to the back and stamped the greeting on it, using a very old, wood mounted stamp from Hero Arts called Special Birthday.

This is a 5" x 7" card. As you can see it folds flat for mailing but since I added the rhinestones it is a little bulky. I had to add a little extra postage to send it overseas, but I think it was worth it 😀

Love Potion #9!

Hello friends. Here is another Valentine card I made using a file from Silhouette.

Changed a few things here and there to make it look just the way I wanted it.

Love that the little cork can be on or off the bottle 😀

This is a slimline card - I normally make my slimline cards to be 9" x 4". They fit perfectly into business sized envelopes.

Although you can't really tell from the photo above, this card opens by folding the front of the card down. There is a score line on the back of the card - where I marked "Here" - that allows you to do that. So as you can see, on the inside of the card, I duplicated the label from the front and printed the sentiment on it.

Cuckoo Clock Birthday Card

Hello everyone. I'm interrupting my Valentine shares to show you a card I made for my Son-in-Law's birthday. Most men in my family love cuckoo clocks, so this was easy to come up with 😀

The dies used to create this card are from Spellbinders, called Cuckoo Cottage die set.

The embossing folder for the background is called Dry Stone Wall and it is from Crafter's Companion.

All scrapbook bits and pieces used are from my Scraps drawers. Although a bit time consuming to piece everything together, it is a great way to use lots of scraps.

Yes, it was his big 40! I used the Happy Birthday w/Shadow die from Kat Scrappiness for the sentiment and the Pin Numbers die from Marianne Designs for the 40, cut out of gold cardstock.

Valentine Card for Hubby

Hello and welcome back. Hubby loves spicy food, always has and I think he always will 😀 So when I saw this card by Dreaming Tree on the Creative Fabrica website, I just couldn't resist it.

I did change the frame around the card though. I struggled to cut the very intricate frame that the original card comes with. This frame is from a Silhouette file.

As you can see, there are lots and lots of layers giving this card beautiful dimension.

On the above pic, you can see how beautifully the words come out. I used gold mirror cardstock. It really pops on the burgundy cardstock.

I kept the inside very simple. Used print and cut feature on the Silhouette to make it. I wanted a large greeting and all my stamps are rather on the small side.

That was it. Hubby loved it and has it on display on our home office, so mission accomplished.

Valentine Treat Boxes

Hello everyone. Now that Valentine is over I can share some of my makes without ruining anyone's surprises. So for the next few days, I will be sharing my projects with you.
To start, I would like to show you the treat boxes I made for hubby's work. These are just small treats to add that lil something special to a regular work day 😀

I used a combination of files from Silhouette to make this box. The center heart, on the front of the box, is popped up using foam squares.

This shows the side of the box. I was able to place 10 different chocolates into this box - mostly mini candy bars and a few Valentine chocolates too.

I placed the same center heart on the back but this one is adhered flat.

And here they are, all 25 of them!

The Silhouette did all the work for me, so it was very simple to put together 😀

I printed the cute lil cat onto photo paper, merged onto the heart doily and used the print and cut feature. The image looks very sharp and the whole doily has a slight shine from the photo paper.

Crafty Gals Corner Challenge 273 ~ Anything Goes w/optional twist - Snowman

The theme for our challenge this month is

I made 38 of these Snowman treat boxes for hubby's work and for our family.

They were cut using a file from the Silhouette store, called 3D Decorative Snowman Box.

I was able to insert 9 pieces of different Christmas candy into each one.

The opening on the top was a little too large, but I made sure to put one of the truffle chocolates on the top, so the other candy didn't fall out.

Although simple enough to put together, gluing all the layers and making each snowman was a little time consuming, but I thought the result was worth while.

I'm making a few more advent cards and thought this one would be perfect for this challenge.

I used the Advent Calendar die from Hunkydory. The image is from the Advent Calendar Paper Pack. These are awesome as they include the card fronts, the window reveal backing papers, and matching card inserts. Each paper pack has enough papers to make 12 cards.

Here is a close up. It's super cute. A little Advent Calendar in the form of a Christmas card 😊 Using the window reveal sheet behind each card front, makes it so that you can open a little window each day to display a fun and festive image. I didn't want to open these little windows, but if you want to take a look at another card I made, you can follow this link. There you will be able to see some of the cute images behind each little window. Each backing sheet matches the advent card front.

I made this card to be an easel card. On the matching insert sheet, I stamped a sentiment using a stamp from the Christmas Sayings stamp set from Creative Expressions. The little stopper for the easel element was cut using punches from StampinUp and the little Merry Christmas greeting is a stamp from the Tiny Tidings stamp set from Cardz TV.

Each image paper is 6" x 6". I trimmed them down to 5.5" x 5.5" as I wanted a small gold border around it. I then adhered it all to a 6" x 6" red card base.

40th Anniversary Card

Hello everyone. Today hubby and I celebrate our 40th Wedding Anniversary. It's been 40 years of love, memories and adventures. Yes, there have been some trials, but together we got thru them. 😀

Here is the card I made for him.

Using a card base from Hunkydory's Foiled Pattern Rocker Cards was a big plus in putting this card together. I also like that this card base is close to ruby red in colour. It's traditionally the colour for a 40th Anniversary.

Here you can see the foiled pattern better. Isn't it pretty? The bubbly glasses and most other decorative elements are all from a Spellbinders die set called A Special Toast. The Number Pins are dies from Marianne Design, as are the tiny pearls.

The Happy Anniversary greeting was computer generated and cut using StampinUp punches. Cardstocks used are all from my scraps drawers.

Since Christmas is just around the corner, I made a couple of projects for this challenge. Starting with my first one, I used Snoozing Santa from Dr. Digi's House of Stamps and created this card.

I used a Google image for the background and a Silhouette image for the Christmas Tree. The coat rack was created using the Santa's Coat & Rack die from Cottage Cutz.

On the inside, I created the sentiment using the Merry Christmas w/Shadow die, also from Cottage Cutz.

And for my second project, using the pre-coloured Christmas Poinsettia Lantern digi from Fred She Said, I created these tags.

I used the Silhouette to print and cut the images and to create the extra layer of poinsettias that I pop dotted for a little dimension.

I created the back of the tags on the Silhouette and used it to print and cut them.

Halloween Cuckoo Clock

Hello friends and welcome back!

Today I'm sharing the Halloween card I made for hubby. 👻

I love cuckoo clocks but don't do very well with the constant tick tock of the pendulum. I just can't stand repetitive noises, it drives me crazy! 😀 So you can imagine that this Cuckoo Cottage release by Spellbinders is just up my alley, all the beauty of a cuckoo clock but none of the noise 😊 And what you can't see, from these still pics, is that the pendulum moves to and fro, just like a regular cuckoo clock. I really love the way it came out!

To make this clock I used the following materials:

Kat Scrappiness - Happy Halloween w/shadow

Google - Background

GinaK. Designs - couloured cardstocks

Hunkydory - silver cardstock for the chains

I love this Halloween die from Kat Scrappiness. Love that it layers and love the font - so perfectly creepy for Halloween 👻 I made this into a 5" x 7" card so there was some of the background visible around the cuckoo clock. Hubby also likes cuckoo clocks so I kinda knew that he was going to like this card, and he did!

I've been trying to work on my stitching again, so for this challenge I went with this lovely layered image of Santa and Rudolph.

Stitch pattern is from Stitch & Do kit number 220.

Decoupage image is from the Holly Jolly Christmas cutting sheet from Yvonne Creations. I used 1 mm foam squares to adhere the different layers to each other. I find that using the 1 mm size adds dimension but very little bulk which is important for me as most of my cards get mailed overseas.

On the inside I added the greeting and a few more of the decorative stars from the same sticker sheet I used in the front of the card to add a little sparkle and shine.

Using the very cute Lottie - Witch Costume digi stamp set from Last Minute Manda, I created this zigzag card.

For the base of the card, I used the Circle Zigzag Card Shape, from Studio Light Essentials (SL-ES-CD124). The cardstock is from my scrap stash. The patterned paper was printed and cut using a Silhouette file called Halloween Candy. I used copic markers, gel pens, and wink of stella clear pen to colour in the images and add a little bit of sparkle here and there.

I created a little greeting mat on the back. I used the Cardz TV stamp set called Happy Days to stamp the sentiment.

This card measures 5.5" x 8" when displayed but folds down to 5.5" x 3.75" for mailing, so if will fit in A2 envelope.

Did you notice that my card shows you the steps of how to make magical candy!

1. First you read the recipe.

2. Gather the ingredients.

3. Add that special touch of magic.

4. Stir it well and let it bubble till done!

Simple enough, right? 😂
