Miss P. has such a great spirit. Let me tell you, she is a talker. I was quite amused when going through the images from the session as most of them caught P. with her mouth moving. Then there would be a pause… I guess she had to take a breath sometime:)) But I also got the moments when she gave me a beautiful smile or a giggle ….

Azalea Mountain School Photos ~ Asheville Children’s Photographer

Meet the children of the Azalea Mountain School - based on Waldorf school in West Asheville. My daughter goes to 4th grade there and we couldn’t be happier. This is a very unique school with rich age appropriate curriculum, where the whole child is being educated- the heart, the hands as well as the head.

I know how it is to have family all over and spread out even as far as across the ocean. And I kno0w how great it is when we get together and enjoy each other’s company. This family traveled to Asheville from several directions to be together for an extended weekend and I have a feeling they had a great time together.

Spring to Spring with Mini Sessions ~ Asheville Photographer

It’s that time of the year again. Spring is around the corner and the beautiful and vibrant season brings the perfect opportunity to get outside so you and I can create some memories. Mini sessions are here!

A mini session is a shortened version of a regular session at a predetermined location to capture a cute phase (because they grow so fast, you know!), get new photos for Grandma’s Birthday, or an updated family portrait to treasure forever. Mini session is also great if you are trying custom photography for the fist time.

Due to limited time during mini sessions, these are limited to 5 people. Sessions are booked on a first come, first serve basis. The session fee is due in full at booking to secure your date and time!

Location: TBD

Times: 4:00PM, 4:30PM, 5:00PM, 5:30PM, 6:00PM

Children of the Mountain ~ Asheville Children’s Photographer

This time I visited with the children from the Kindergarten of The Azalea Mountain School which is an inspired by Waldorf school in West Asheville. I said this before and I’ll say it again… Waldorf Kindergarten is magical. Besides bread making, soup making, watercolor painting, singing and listening to stories the children are busy with the most important job at their age- PLAY!!

2013 HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR REP PROGRAM

Attention all 2013 Seniors (which means you are currently a junior)! I am currently looking for students in the Asheville area high schools to act as representatives for Lenka Hattaway Photography.

Who can apply?

If you are currently a junior graduating in the class of 2013, I want you!
You don’t have to be a size zero, on your way to the catwalk, super model to be one of our models…
I want high energy students who are well known in their class for being friendly, outgoing and fun. Someone who is able to encourage and inspire. Someone who has style and personality and confidence and is comfortable in front of the camera.

As a senior rep you will receive:

A choice of a complimentary outdoor full photo session in March/April OR two mini sessions; one in March/April and one later in the summer ($120 value, no prints included)
Rep cards with your images to pass to your friends
5×7 bound brag book
3-5 Web size/watermarked images uploaded to my FB page for you to tag and use on your profile
10% off your print order
$30 print credit for each referred senior who completes a session with your rep card
Refer 5 and you get $50 cash, refer 10 or more and I’ll throw in $100 cash! No joke.
All of your friends who book with your card will get a bonus, too!

As a senior rep you must:

Be a student at a local Asheville area High school in the graduating class of 2013
Be energetic, outgoing and have fun and get others excited, too!
Have your Senior Portraits taken exclusively by Lenka Hattaway Photography (with the exception of your yearbook photo with the school photographer)
Be willing to share your pictures with friends and pass out Rep Cards
Keep one of your watermarked images as your profile picture on FB through December 2013
Allow your images to be featured on my promotional materials and blog
Show this page to your parents and get their approval to proceed. If you are under 18, they will also need to sign an agreement/model release with you for you to participate.

I’ll choose one or two 2013 high school seniors from each surrounding school to shoot a free Model Senior Session. During your photo session we’ll hit several different locations and you’ll change outfits several times for a variety of looks. You must complete your portrait shoot before June 15th, 2012. Applications are due by March 15, 2012.
