John laughed when I showed him this card and asked me what I was going to do with it. I made it for my Stamp-A-Palooza display, as another way to use the Balloon Festoon dies. I didn't have the saying on it yet when I showed him and asked him for any ideas he had. He didn't have any, so I Googled sayings for summer, beach, and bikini but didn't find any I liked. Then this popped into my head! The Mini Alphabet Dies were the perfect size!

The New Impressions Plate And Phrases & Frames Dies

Did you see the new Impressions Dies in the May-August Catalog? They are special dies that cut, and then when you run them through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine again with the new Impressions Plate they also emboss!

I had a whole table full of tools at our Stamp-A-Palooza last Saturday, including these new dies. It's one thing to see them in the catalog, but so much better to see them in person!

This shows the difference between just die-cutting and using the Impressions Plate

I even used the Impressions Plate with the Eyelet Bloom Die (Product Of The Month)!

The one on the right I spritzed with water before running it through.

My Two-Tone Cardstock Display

Yesterday I shared pictures from our Stamp-A-Palooza event that we had last Saturday. One of the displays I did was this one, for the Two-Tone Cardstock:

I had so much fun putting these together! For each color, I cut the square in half diagonally and flipped one, then taped them back together so you can see both sides at once. I love having double our usual colors! I've been using the Two-Tone cardstock a lot for layers, since it's the same weight as Designer Series Paper.

Here are individual pictures of each, with them out of the frame so there's no glare:

I didn't do White Willow since it isn't double-sided

Aren't they cool? I love this paper! If you haven't tried it yet, order some in your favorite color(s) and check it out! They are all 12 x 12", so perfect for scrapbooking and cardmaking!

May Stamp-A-Palooza!

We had another Stamp-A-Palooza last Saturday! It's always fun to see things in person, especially with a new catalog. So we had lots of displays set up, had some demonstrations, and even had some mini classes where you could stamp three cards and take some supplies home to make three more. Here are a few pictures:

The In Color table, where there were inks, Stampin' Blends, and the new Shimmer Brushes. The first 15 people in the door were given charts where they could use all these tools to make swatches for reference. There were also charts for the Color Families to look at.

I did a display of all the Two-Tone Cardstock colors showing both sides. This was so much fun to make! I'll share them in another post with pictures of each.

Sunset Coast Stamp Share For Leaders Swap

Yesterday I shared the first card I did for our latest Stamp Share For Leaders New Catalog swap. This was the second card. I wanted to show as much of the Scenic Coast 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper as possible because it's so gorgeous! It's hard to see in pictures, but there is Iridescent foil on the water that makes it shimmer.

Here's the card closed, and...

here it is open. Each panel is 2" x 5 1/4", so I've used a whole 6" x 6" sheet, except a 3/4" strip from the bottom.

There are 6 different designs and you get 8 of each for a total of 48 sheets in a pack.

There are three circular design dies- the lighthouse, sun rays, and a sailboat

Balloon Festoon Words And Wishes Stamp Share For Leaders Swap

The Stamp Share For Leaders group does a swap whenever there's a new catalog, so we just did one for the May-August Catalog. I signed up for two groups, which means designing two different cards and making 22 of each (21 for the swap and one for myself). This was the first card I designed, with the fun new Balloon Festoon Bundle. It's even fun to say!

I love seeing the piles of the pieces before I assemble cards!

My first attempt (left), but I decided it was too much yellow so I ended up moving the colors around. Second attempt (right) without the embossing folder and trying to color the stars with Blends. The color is there, but kind of streaky.

The Adhesive Sheets make those thin little die-cuts so much easier to work with! Just attach to the back of your cardstock, die cut as usual. Then peel the backing off and your die-cut is like a sticker!

Lovely Arrangement Card Set

I got together with some friends to stamp recently. One of them had bought an online tutorial from another demonstrator that uses the Lovely Blossoms Bundle. We made the cards and a cute little purse to put them in.

Here are the cards individually. They are so pretty! And I love the coordinating DSP on the envelopes!
