I went a little crazy at Macy's the other day because all of their summer things were 65% off and then an extra 15%, and then I got another 20%. I got a TH seersucker blazer, denim shirt dress, trench coat, polo and then the official Ralph Lauren Olympic polo for a grand total of $145.21. Wildfox Skeleton Dance Beach Jumper

Hi everyone! I know it's been awhile and I hope everyone is having a great week so far! I thought with some spare time I would make an outfit post for you featuring my new sweater! I got it at Saks Off Fifth on a clearance rack for $20 and I just love it. I've heard of Wildfox before, but have never been all that interested in their prices. Though I loved the skeletons on this one and it so soft, I couldn't pass it up! I know this is not similar to my past couple of posts, and maybe not everyone's cup of tea, but I enjoy it!

Hi everyone, I'm finally back with a large clothing haul! I recently got a new job in retail and our dress code is all black and white. New Fantasy Land in Disney World

If you're a Disney World frequenter like myself, these pictures probably also make you pee your pants with excitement. As much as I LOVE Disney World, I did think it was time to create some new attractions and get rid of that horrible nightmare Toon Town. And I am SO happy it ended with a decision to extend Fantasy Land, my favorite and focus more on the princesses. I recently visited for my Spring Break when it was still all under construction, but I just might have to save up to go again soon!

Hello, Goodbye

Hello once again, I've got somewhat of a post today for you all! Sold and shipped my old Dear Creatures dresses, as sad as I am to have to get rid of them, now I can buy new things that probably will look better on me anyways!

I'm on the hunt for heels for my cousin's wedding. I had a pair picked out but I think they were almost too tall and made me 6'2. These new ones are shorter, but the thing about these is I LOVE the bow, although the "corset" design throws me off. Does the corset make them look cheap? I'm still debating on these :[

Next turned in quite a lot of items to the Buffalo Exchange and picked up two things as well. This new with tags Jason Wu for Target blouse that I think is actually pretty cute, $14 (originally $34).

Next my first Zara item, a long sequin dress that I will wear as a tank top, seeing is that I am a giant :]

Zara Dream Wish-list

Still love them. Good stuff.

Zara and Madewell are my current favorite eye candies when it comes to ambitious online browsing. The thing I love about Zara, is even though it's not affordable for me at the moment, their clothing isn't all that unattainable (as opposed to me pretending I could ever afford Valentino). And while it's somewhat similar to maybe a Topshop, Zara consistently looks very clean and modern and maintains a cool esthetic. Almost every piece looks very well constructed and the styles are fresh, but not too trendy where it wouldn't be relevant in a year. Some of these cute pieces I might have to save up for once I get a second job. I'm talking to you future trench coat ;]

My friends and I were talking about closet essentials the other day, and how we all agree it's better to invest in nice classic pieces that don't go out of style. So I started looking at all the "wardrobe essentials" many girls need. Of course, if you're a little more adventurous in fashion choices you might be all over the board. But I wanted to create my list of things I wouldn't want to live without. I didn't include like a camisole or a t-shirt because that's pretty much a given.

1. Skater Dress. Or "fit and flare". But it's just a sleeveless tight bodice dress, that flares out at the hips. Can be worn on it's own, over a button up blouse, with a cardigan or many different possibilities. The shape is incredibly flattering and feminine.
2. Wide Silk Scarf. Scarves are my personal favorite way to add something extra to the outfit. My favorite scarves are extra long and extra wide, so there are many possible ways to tie them and they give personality an otherwise bland outfit.
3. Silk Button-up Shirt. There is something about a nice silky collared button-up that makes me feel like a million bucks. Put it with pants, a skirt or under a dress, it's so versatile and simple.
4. Sunnies. I have weak and very light sensitive eyes. So a face flattering pair of Sunnies are a must on those sunny days, or those walks into a coffee shop when you didn't feel like getting ready for the day.
5. Pleated Skirt. I LOOOVE a nice structured-high-waisted pleated skirt. Skirts are my favorite bottoms to wear and the most fitting for my body type.
6. Stripped Shirt. A basic cut, black and white striped shirt is always the answer to every question. It can be dressed up, dressed down, but it will always look chic.
7. Pearls. When I choose a statement necklace, I go for pearls most of the time. The are timeless and make an outfit look polished and professional.
8. Satchel. I love satchels. I love my satchel. I hope to someday afford a Cambridge satchel. That is all.
9. Classic Cardigan. That one cardigan that goes with just about anything.
10. Skinny Black Pants. Whether they are black jeans, or black cigarette pants. I love pairing black bottoms with a nice white blouse.
11. Khaki Trench Coat- The perfect coat, and history proves it. Cuts and styles may change the look of it, but a beautifully constructed, belted trench coat goes great over almost any outfit.
12. Black tights. In my life, these are absolutely a necessity. For obvious reasons.
13. Flats. I live in flats, being 5'10 and from Minnesota, there aren't many chances for me to wear heels. Though, I'm completely fine with a cute pair of classic flats.
14. Skinny Waist belt. To accentuate and define your waist or just add more to the overall look.

Done with Finals!

This is simply an Emma Stone, Met Ball appreciation post. I am painfully envious about how she looks here. I usually don't care much for clothing that looks very plastic, but I love the 50's cut and cherry color of her dress. I liked that she only had the hair clip as her accessory and her adore the fresh makeup with the thick lined eye. She's definitely doing the fellow pale folks proud. The dress is Lanvin by the way!

Anthropologie Sales and Thrifting Finds

Hello everyone! Hope everyone had a great day. Got some shopping in today in between homework sessions. I'm also going to try to do more photo blogging so today is the start of that :]

Anthropologie was having a sidewalk sale so I dropped in and picked up a new jumper! Finally I have a cute cropped jumper to throw over an extra long blouse with jeans! I think I'll post an outfit with it tomorrow.

In my Life: Part 1

I think it was Keiko Lynn who recently did a big post about her evolution. She focused more on style... but I kind of wanted to start off with some interesting childhood photos. Why? Not sure, I like looking at other people's photos from their childhood, so I figured maybe other people do too?! I only did up to 6th grade, but tomorrow(ish) I will have the second part with all the fashion non-sense of my middle/high school years. Yeah, this is a girl that used to wear leopard print tights and a russian fur hat around almost on the regular. I thought I would slowly ease you into the weird, instead of just throwing those images in your face without any warning. Enjoy! Hahaha :]

The Outfits I would wear

Sorry for the lack of posts, I am currently boycotting (unsuccessfully) this new blogger set up. I am so confused about what is going on. Anywho, I thought I would do a quick easy post of cute (at least in my humble opinion) outfits I put together on polyvore.
1. A classic somewhat Americana outfit, it's understated yet still grabs your attention.
2. Featuring the amazing bird print blouse by Nadinoo. I love how this blouse looks, it reminds me of my dress that has the old victorian ad print on it. Those antique printed fabrics are so beautiful. Put it with a denim blazer, 'cause that's how we 90's kids roll.
3. The feminine outfit, with Madewell polka dot sleeveless button down and mint pleated skirt. I love this last one, I would wear this everyday in the summer, but I'll settle for my imagination.

Movie Inspiration: Atonement

When this movie first came out, I didn't see it, but I am kind of glad that I didn't because I probably wouldn't have appreciated it as much. I finally remembered it about two weeks ago and have been looking for a place to rent it (physically) but finally I gave into the evil world that is online movie rental. My assumption, that it was going to be like a 1930's war time version of Pride and Prejudice was way off. This movie is beautifully tragic, if you take Moulin Rogue and Titanic and multiply those emotions x1000 you get Atonement. I am still not over how it ended, I have to be honest, I haven't cried that hard in a long time. The only thing stopping me from absolutely hating it, was that it was just so damn good. The story, acting, cinematography, music, everything was so well done. Unfortunately, my heart was simply not ready for it. If you're up for it, I highly recommend it, but be warned!

New Thrift Finds

Hello folks! It is a great day today! I don't have class and don't have to deal with my horrible english professor! Also picked up some pretty awesome thrift finds that I want to share!

Found this lovely blouse by Generra. And you know me, I'm a sucker for ties and collars. Absolutely adore it! I don't know if the light picks up on camera, but has a slight gingham pattern which is great.

Now here's where I swoon. PRADA. Yeah that's right. I picked up a pair of Prada shorts! I found them at my Buffalo Exchange and they were only $23! Since I had brought in a couple things to sell, I didn't have to pay a dime! They actually fit me well, a little big at the waist, but it's fine once I belt them! It's perfect because I have been looking for a pair of dressy shorts to wear with my blouses and these are great. Plus at the bottom they are wide and have elastic so they make my legs so thinner. That in itself = wonderful. Meant to be <3
