It hushed the sea. It quieted the wind. It raised the dead. It fed the multitudes. His Living Word in lips of faith will do the same today. When you know that the Word is God speaking, you will speak the Word with authority. You remember that Faith in God is faith in His Word. -- E. W. When He enters into your life to dwell there, He doesn't lay aside His glory and Majesty and might. When God's Son took upon Him the garment of flesh, He laid aside some of His glory. His thunder is just as loud today as it was in the first century. His lightning is just as vivid as it was in the days of the early church. Be like Him in character. Don't be troubled so much about your faces but be more concerned about your hearts. All the powder won't change the heart. God's church is one. It is a terrible thing to go about dismembering the body of Christ. How foolish and wicked the petty differences between Christians will appear in the light of eternity. Christ is the "issue", not some doctrine about Him. The Gospel leads to Him. It exalts Christ, not some particular doctrine. The final and most joyous festival of the year begins at sundown [Friday, Sept. 25] and continues for seven days. It is called Feast of Tabernacles (or Shelters or Booths), Feast of Ingathering, Season of Our Rejoicing, or Sukkot. It celebrates God's care and protection during forty years of wandering in the wilderness and His continuing sustenance. All Jews made a pilgrimage to Jerusalem. They made and lived in temporary shelters (sukkah booths) recalling their years of wandering. In modern times families or congregations build outdoor shelters filled with harvest decorations. It was during the Feast of Tabernacles' illumination ceremony that Jesus said, "I am the light of the world." It was during the water pouring ceremony that Jesus said, "I am the living water." There is evidence by comparing time frames in the Scriptures to prove that Jesus was born during the Feast of Tabernacles and that He will return during the Feast of Tabernacles. "Jesus is God tabernacling among men. The word _dwelt_ in Greek implies a temporary dwelling, a sukkah booth. Jesus is God's ultimate sukkah booth. For God, in Jesus Christ, tabernacles among men. As the Temple was a temporary dwelling for the Shekinah (visible Glory of God), so Jesus tabernacling among us manifested the glory of God. He is the source of light and life to all who believe." And the moment I do, He forgives me. It is wiped out as though it had never been. The instant that I confess it and tell the Father of it, Jesus says, "Lay that to My account." And if any man sin, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous." [I John 2:1] I think that that is one of the most marvelous statements in the whole of the Epistles. Seated at the Father's right hand is our righteous Advocate; and the minute that I break fellowship, He is there in fellowship with the Father. I lose my sense of righteousness. He is the Righteous One. He is there, in the Presence of the Father, to plead my case. --E. W. God wants righteousness in the inward parts, that we may be pure through and through. The Bible is the plumb line of everything, and unless we are plumbed right up with the Word of God, we will fail in righteousness. -- Smith Wigglesworthhttps://lepsfaithquotes.blogspot.com/2026/09/righteousness-922-tuesday-truth.htmlnoreply@blogger.com (Larry A. Whenever two believers met, they invariably went to prayer. Today we can harldy be dragged to prayer. You remember Acts 13:52, "And the disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit." I Peter 1:8 tells us that it is joy unspeakable and full of glory. That didn't mean much to me until the Spirit unveiled it to me. Then I saw the secret of this new thing that was to come with the New Creation. "My joy I give unto you." This is something indescribable that fills our spirits. What does joy grow out of? What is the secret? I Corinthians 1:9, "God is faithful, through whom ye were called into the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord." Fellowship is the secret, it is the thing that gives joy. When the fellowship is broken, the joy dies. -- E. W. Kenyon https://lepsfaithquotes.blogspot.com/2026/09/joy-in-our-spirit-917-thursday-thoughts.htmlnoreply@blogger.com (Larry A. (I Peter 1:16). It is as easy as possible to be holy, but you can never be holy by your own efforts. When you lose your heart and Another takes your heart, and you lose your desires and He takes the desires, then you live in that sunshine of bliss which no mortal can ever touch. -- Smith Wigglesworthhttps://lepsfaithquotes.blogspot.com/2026/09/be-ye-holy-916-wednesday-wisdom.htmlnoreply@blogger.com (Larry A.
