We're doing a great-looking ribbon and wire-wrapped boutonniere look for guys this spring. Any flower, any ribbon color. Wire colors are hot green, copper, or gold. We can also use a dress swatch instead of the ribbon. One dollar extra for the ribbon, and another dollar extra for wire.

LeRoy's is Green. We're trying all the time to be more eco-friendly and environmentally aware. Some of the things we do to lessen our impact on the environment:

We patronize local businesses.
We buy flowers and supplies locally whenever possible.
We belong to a florist co-op to share delivery and cut down on gas usage.
We use Simple Green and other non-toxic cleaning solutions here in our workroom and shop.
We recycle our cardboard.
We recycle newspaper and office papers.
We shred office papers and use the shredded materials to stuff shipments.

We got these in for a wedding we're doing. Aren't they luscious? They remind me so much of watermelons. The scent of a Stargazer is different every time. Usually they smell somewhat like avocadoes, but this batch has a slightly minty scent which is heavenly. They make wonderful summer wedding flowers because of their tropical looks and the summery colors.

Watch this YouTube video of the Danse Serpentine. It's from 1899 and is hand-colored. The beautiful shapes as she furls and unfurls the diaphanous layers of fabric of her dress remind us of a blooming rose.

Check the full size of this scan of an old photograph to see the nosegay the girl on the left is holding. It looks to be a single purple hydrangea surrounded by a plastic holder. Kind of cool. Not too crazy about the huge green bow randomly placed on the skirt, or all the ruffles everywhere. The dress on the right is actually not too bad, except for the built-in backpack ;)
