A 365 day devotional, On This Day in Christian History introduces the reader to some of the greatest saints, martyrs, conflicts, preachers, popes and heroes of the past 2000 years of Christian history. Robert Morgan uses daily reading combined with scriptural reading to present us with rarely seen view of believers and the beginnings of the Christian church.

I think I really goofed by choosing a daily devotional for my first review. It took me longer than it should have because some of the daily readings just had to be digested before you could move on. The stories were provoking, inspiring, horrifying, informative and just all together a great short read. There were days where I could skip through a whole week’s worth of stories at one time and other days when all I could read was one.

It was also a bit confusing reading multiple entries at one sitting. Several of the stories mentioned the same person in different references. But it was not in chronological order and skipped around throughout the book.

I really enjoyed the book. During the time I was reading the book, I was able to bring up points from the readings in my Sunday school class passing on the knowledge I had collected. I would definitely recommend this book to others.

Well I wanted to update this blog with big things as they came about, but it seems it will be the little things that get done one step at a time…lol!

I have developed my business strategy.

I have created my “legal” documents and sent them out the people who have agreed to join me on the adventure.

I’m very excited to joined by such a mixed group. I will be talking more about them as we go along, but I need to get all the “legal stuff” done first!

I am in the process of setting up my membership program and writing my book. I will go back and add the story details and quotes as the groups I’m working with start to expand/build their business.

There is still so much to do! I want to just run and jump right into everything, but I know that if I take things a little slower I will build my foundation on stone rather than on sand!

My Journey – God Lead

I am currently on a journey, one that God has been pushing me to for years…I just would not listen.

Back in 2000, I read my first book on Internet Marketing, and something said, “You could do this better.” So I started writing my own book about Internet Marketing, but then a new marriage, pregnancy and baby got in between me and my path.

Then a couple years later, I started an online newsletter and offering coaching to others looking to find a way to work from home. But again, a couple of broken trust and I was sidelined.

I continued to work online and network with other small home based business owners, but I also stepped out of the home and got a part-time job. As a single homeschooling mom, this was my security blanket. It was a guaranteed income to provide for my boys and fund their education.

But this year I have been pushed really hard to get myself back to my journey. I have had several nudges and a couple of out and out shoves!

Then one day, after doing some hard praying regarding staying with my part-time job (security for this single mom) or taking the leap of faith and following the path God set me on years ago, God decided to give a very strong answer! The little restaurant where I was working burned and has been closed until further notice.

So here I go! This time I have a very set course of action. I am writing an Online Business course for homeschool families. Follow me on this journey to teach our children to be independent entrepreneurs. I will take your teen entrepreneurs by the hand to help them find their passions and create a business.

I have one or two “case studies” that will lead the way, but I have room for a couple more. Come and join me on my journey.
