What I Did This Summer...

This summer I taught a styling class at The Academy of Art University (AAU). The final project was to style a live model for a test shoot. This is some of my students' work. Thanks to photographers William Perls, Carolina Ramirez, Cinta Aveda Institute, JE Models and Ford models.

Del Geronimo is one of the pioneers for the San Francisco fashion community and produces this event annually. Last year I was a nominee for Best Stylist and this year I have joined the committee. LF is a clothing line "Geared towards girls that want to be different". Well, that's just about everybody these days in fashion. With the initials LF, you would think this clothing line would be mine, but, it's not. I have watched this brand's fashion metamorphosis over the years. I do fancy their latest style. Here are some images from a recent campaign you can see on their site. Good job LF!

I am back from fashion week in NYC. Took a walk on Ocean beach in SF yesterday. Here's an image. Photo taken with my iPhone. I'm a little slimmer than the image. It seems as the camera added some pounds?? Or, it could be my leather fanny pack (hip pack) I'm sporting in front??

Fashion is definitely in the Air. I was flipping through the August issue of one of the many magazines I subscribe to and saw this ad for Sarah Jessica Parker's new fragrance. Then, I stopped and thought to myself. "Hey, that looks like my dress." As in the dress I designed a year ago for a project. Coincidence? Or, just like the ad says, Fashion is in the Air.

Ms. Parker: Please feel free to contact me next time you need a dress or a stylist or a house sitter or.. You get the picture. I have a feeling I know what you like. :)

There's no secret about San Francisco being the home to some of the best and talented musicians, composer, dj producers, etc., We seldom see them strut their stuff in the catwalks at the indie SF fashion shows, but you might get to catch Kevin Oliver doing both.
