Give your teenager an opportunity to express his/her personality and style through the room decor. Under-bed storage and closet storage has to be paid attention to so as to maximize space in the room.

The room shouldn’t be cramped at all. There should be space for your teenager to dance when he/she decides to have a party with friends. Also, anyway, space in the room would immensely help when it comes to giving your teenager a feeling of calmness and peace. Evaluate and make a list of all that has to be done. Make a list of the rooms and areas of your house that would be exposed to the guests for the party. Make sure you take care of the entry areas like the garden, the lobby and also the terrace area! Do not work yourself up cleaning the areas like the bedrooms for the party; you can always do that later!

Do away with the clutter. Parties always mean cooking up a storm. So it is but obvious that your kitchen will look it. Slight alternation in ambience with change in lighting, may be a wall art, crockery, garden landscape or just changing the direction of your bed can bring about a huge dramatic change in the way you feel about your home!

Take some time to decide on what you may change in your home to make it a better place for yourself. Characterize your home and splash yourself in all the ways possible. It is absolutely possible to create a friendly and smooth place for yourself.

Akshara and Naitik- Dulux TVC

Did you check out the new TVC for Dulux that has Akshara and Naitik, the characters from a famous star plus show. The two characters in the show are a young married couple. The two of them share great love and chemistry in the TV show as well. The chemistry and love is being played upon in the TVC too. It is beautiful how the chemistry between the two actors really comes forth in full vigour in the TVC too.

The TVC shows Naitik painting Akshara’s portrait while Akshara sits on the couch posing. The set that has been used for the TVC is absolutely stunning. The interiors of the house the lead actors are shown to live in are fascinating and colourful. It is good to see how each and every detail has been kept in mind as the TVC is made. Not only are the two characters being shown are known faces but they also act really well. It is important to have a connect with the audience and the emotions when we talk about a TVC. This TVC also manages to establish good connect with the TVC with the help of the colours of love, slight mischief and colourful of fun shown amongst the two characters.

Naitik makes a fabulous portrait of Akshara but takes a lot of time to show it to her. Instead he keeps on teasing and making Akshara wait for her to see the final portrait. But as Naitik finally completes painting he pokes fun at Akshara, to which Akshara says that the colours of the painting are that of Naitik…the colours of mischief. It is sweet to see both of them indirectly expressing their love and admitting to all that fun they have together. They seem to believe that it is important say and follow- ‘Apne rang chalakne do’.

Here’s what you can do, according to Feng Shui, to ensure that your Kitchen is positive and lends out vibes of health and happiness to people of the house. In order to promote positivity in your kitchen, add an element of wood in your kitchen. According to Feng Shui, adding wood provides a harmonious balance between otherwise incompatible water and fire.

You should also add some green in your kitchen by painting one of the kitchen walls green. Green colour helps in regulation of energy and gives a fresher appeal to the area. Add some green crockery, a green painting, a green plant…if you do not want to paint the kitchen walls green.

Make sure that your kitchen area is used only for preparing and cooking food. Place the oven at the focal point of the kitchen. Did you check out the new Hollywood flick- ‘Horrible Bosses’? The multi-starrer movie is one of the latest flicks, released in 2011! The movie is about three friends conspiring to murder their horrible bosses! Jason Bateman, Charlie Day and Jason Sudeikis decide to murder their awful bosses as they find their bosses to be hindering their happiness and mishandling their work lives!

It’s funny how the plot goes around with the rascal red guys turning redder by the deviousness inflicted upon them by their bosses! The guys who seem like guys next door actually turn into criminals just as they decide to not take shit from their bosses anymore! The weird twists and turns of the plot are totally rascal red in character and are fun to watch. The three guys break into houses, steal things and infringe on other people’s properties…just so that they can trace the links to some weak point or the other to kill their bosses. The movie’s storyline and script makes it racy red and amazing.

The characterization in the movie is simply brilliant. The true colours of everyone’s personality are nicely executed and shown in the movie! The sweet guys who are sincere and extremely hard workers…turn to rascals when the angry red colour takes them over because of their horrible bosses. The title of the movie really makes for an apt title as it’s descriptive of the movie itself and of the rascal red colour of the plot that unfolds! The movie is one of the funniest black comedy ever and is a great watch for all those who need a break from their work lives and horrible bosses!

What’s the colour of corruption? It’s black. It’s so unpleasant that it rots everything that’s around and that’s pleasant. It is like a leech and parasite…that eats up all the goodness that’s there.

Corruption is a hindrance in any nation’s growth. There are several reasons behind corruption, the major reason being the large population. Extreme growth in population makes way for a lot of problems like unemployment, lack of resources, congestion in cities, illiteracy, poverty etc. Due to the lack of proper employment, people tend to engage in mal-practices like corruption, which in turn affects the country’s growth in general. Illiteracy also results in corruption and proves to be a black blotch on the colours of growth for a nation! Corruption inturn increases inflation, poverty and theft. Inflation is not just a by product of corruption it also is a reason behind increase growth of corruption. We can trace a viscous circle amongst these problems affecting the nation’s growth in a negative way! Corruption gives rise to corruption itself and grows due to corruption itself.

It is all a dark and black coloured hell that a nation gets trapped into, if it is high on population growth. One problem leads to another and another one leads to a new one, costing the nation it’s growth and development.

Rascal Red Siblings

What makes home a pleasant place to live in? It is the colours of love…some bright, some funny, some mischievious and some caring….but never mean..that siblings bring into our lives. Siblings are friends that we have the pleasure to live with and grow up with. Siblings are rascal red, they are never sweety sweet…they are 100% rascals. They fight, they shout, they yell…but they always mean well and they always add the colours of vibrance and sweetness to our lives.

Do you have a sibling? A younger or an elder one? Sibling, if younger would mean lots of fights and rascal red tantrums for this and that. No matter how nice you are going to be to your younger sibling, mommy will always scold you and you’ll need to act all responsible and nice, even if you don’t feel that way! Such are younger siblings. What happens when you have an elder sibling and you yourself are the younger one?! Well, you got the permission from God himself to act silly and be a rascal! You can behave in a rascal red way and get away with, not now but forever…atleast in your family! You can ask for money from the bhaiya or a didi..whoever you have, trick them into loving you by acting cute just when required, demand anything you want! *wink* *wink*

No matter how many times you crib about sibling’s red-rascalism or how many times your siblings cribs about your red-rascalism…it is much love at the end of it all. It would be no fun to eat your favourite noodles, unless you have someone to fight with, over them. It would be no happiness if you wear your clothes all the time, sometimes you got to have your clothes stolen or hidden by your rascal red sibling to add that punch and hue of love and mischief into your life. It won’t be fun to have it all…if you don’t have someone to share with and add that touch of colourful laughter through and through….and forever! Siblings are important, so is their red rascalism…cheers!

Bollywood colours

Bollywood is known for it’s dramatic and colourful movies. The emotions in bollywood movies are well exposed and nicely articulated. BUT, there are some movies which just are soooo horrible and are a complete stinker for some reason or the other. They are colourful nevertheless fir the sheer show, pomp and extravaganza of drama, script and may be the actors!

The award for the most colourful but most funny and nonsensical dialogues goes to the movie- ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’. It’s a story of guy friends living together and having a bachelor party day in day out. The twist in the tale is because of the colourful love-stories of the three friends who appear to be harassed by their girl friends!

The most colourfully FALTU and the most fun-tastically made movie is the movie that’s called FALTU! The colours of college life have been presented in an unusual way. Thus, the award for being the most colourfully FALTU movie goes to FALTU, the movie!

Mere Brother ki Dulhan is another movie that is one of the most colourful and totally care-free movie that has come on the block in the year, 2011. The amazing Katrina with her sizzling chemistry with the actors made the movie a delightful watch for everyone and thus bags the award for being a colourful eye candy movie!

One of the other funny movies that 2011 saw was Mujhse Fraandship Karoge. It’s amazing how the movie didn’t create much buzz but the script of the movie is spicy red and has young colours all around! The craziness and all the essence of friendship is there to make the movie a winner of being dosti red!

It’s the end of the year and it is now time to give away some colourful awards to the movies we had the pleasure and fun of watching! Let’s rate all of the bollywood movies that came and went…some of which that made a mark. Let’s rate the top three movies which have proved to be one of the most colourful ones, throughout the year!

The ‘Green-Garden Party’ award goes to the multi-starrer and the hottest movie of 2011 in the block- Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. The movie is extremely rich in colours of fun, colours of mischief, colours of joy, colours of friendship…! Cheers to the colours of togetherness and great acting by all the actors! The lovely chemistry between all the actors worked as a cherry on top as they added life and colours to the script.

Another awesome flick but in a different way is the saucy Delhi Belly! The movie is a joyride with funny dialogues, colloquial vocabulary and young spirited acting. Hence, the movie bags a ‘Rascal red’ award for being funny, nasty, mischievous and radical…all at the same time! The movie is so fresh when it comes to the movie’s story line, dialogue and script! It is a rascal red experiment which is bold and creative. It’s a good watch.

R.Madhavan and Kangana starrer, Tanu Weds Manu was another sweet rom-com that created some ripples in the movie halls. Foot-tapping music and lovely acting by all the amazing actors make the movie a great choice for the ‘Golden Sun- Rich Yellow’ award! The letting go of love, loosing love and finally gaining it back….all of it has been woven together to present a delightful show as a movie… all that sweetness makes it a good choice for a ‘Golden Sun’ award.

Do you like rain? Mostly people like rain, but there are some people who do not enjoy rain. Rain may cause you a little trouble if you have go out. You may get drenched, or get stuck somewhere due to stagnant water, or you may not find transportation as everyone is hiding due to the rain. But, rain is still worth embracing with all its beautiful colours and effect on the weather in general.

In summers, rain is about a colourful rainbow surprise and time away from all that sweating and heat for a while. It is about a little relief from soaring temperatures. You can just get wet under the cool blue sky of the rains and embrace with open eyes the pleasant nature’s surprise.

In winters, rain is about a chilly surprise that may add to the crispness and coldness of the winter air! The days and nights may get chillier when blended with the colours of rains. One can just enjoy the stay-in at one’s house and feel the warmth of just being at home at such days. Staying in the house becomes all the more special when it comes to winter rains. All one does is to enjoy deep brown chocoa near the fireplace or inside one’s cozy blanket throughout the evening.

In rainy season ofcourse, the rains add the gift of clear blue skies and the lovely rainbows. The streets look washed and clean. Everything looks fresh outside. Rains add a brighter touch to everything that’s there. You can sit back and relish home-made pakoras with chai during the rains.

Do not regret rains! Embrace the colours of rains…be it any season or just the rainy one… rains are rains…they are beautiful and add so much life and a shade brighter than what exists…in everything!!

December just turned chilly! White foamy clouds just came forth and took lovely white miscellaneous shapes to add a mysterious air to the world outside. It’s white thick air flowing across everywhere, at ever corner. The creamy immense fog fills in all the transparent spaces that appear just as, around oneself on other days of kind weather.

The green trees have transparent due drops resting and glistening on their green-yellowy-green leaves as crystals. The washed green leaves look greener and brighter with the dew drops that accumulate overnight and look stunning in the early morning bare light which is white and clear. The grass in that park near you house is equally washes and wet, looking as if it has been tended with water and cleaned by a gardener. The flowers and plants of colourful leaves seem bathed and dressed to greet anyone who comes to take a walk in the park. The trees, the grass, the flowers…everything seems to wait for us to open our doors to the world outside and engage with it just as the trees, grass, flowers embrace them.

The beauty of the world outside is mesmerizing and captivating, especially as the world is clothed in white intense foggy overcoat which mysteriously hides and merely hints at the greens and other natural colours that are there. It is a pleasure to drive past and pierce through the creamy foggy mystery, unveiling the beautiful world that’s near but seems distant and vague unless one reaches it and crosses it. Such is the magic of winter fog; it doubles the beauty of nature and mystifies it to present everything in the dewy and foggy white natural gift-wrap, delivered straight from God and to each one of us, alike!

Rang De Basanti’s colours and more

Have you seen Rang De Basanti? It is one of the most colourful movies with a message for the youth. The movie became extremely famous at the time when it was released, a few years go. The magic of the movie continues to engage and bind the audience and cinema lovers with its colourful cast and script.

The movie was about one’s youth being so completely indulgent with their lives that they do not pay enough attention to the nation’s black corruption and all the grey evils that hamper the nation’s growth!

The movie begins with the screenplay of carefree, colourful and youthful moments being shown between the friends studying at the University of Delhi and progresses to show their transformation into responsible young brigade who goes onto act extremely revolutionarily by the end. It is simply brilliant how the facts from the past have been blended with the present in the movie to give a creative and colourful edge to the script that’s unique and special in many ways. Furthermore, the presence of the foreigner explaining the value of nationalism to the carefree youth is an angle to the script that can never go unnoticed and definitely adds volumes of colour to the storyline and the characterization in the legend of a movie!

All of the above and the proper Punjabi, peppy and colourful songs of the music have made the movie a delight and joy to watch over and over again! Rang De Basanti yaar…..Let’s colour it sunshine and a happy yellow for it is the colour of high spirits and of loving one’s country...
